4☆ Review:

This was everything I needed and more to close out this alternate Harry Potter world. I loved it.

“He doesn’t know that paradise is not a place, but a feeling. He doesn’t know that he doesn’t have to search for it, that he already has it, that he has had it for a long time and will know it in the way he always dreamed of.
He doesn’t know, but he will one day understand. Paradise is not something he needs to seek; it is something he carries with him every day. It isn’t anything he will ever have thought possible, or believed himself capable of having.”

was there every a better companion fic? i loved, loved, loved everything about this! sweet, fluffy and domestic drarry, i love you to bits.
i’m normally not one to enjoy reading about children in fics, but i made an exception for this, because it was not just about them raising a kid. it was a blatant parallel to voldemort’s upbringing. a what-if this had been different? a what if he had been loved? thank you for existing sobsicle, your service is truly appreciated.

this was the perfect ending to the "world of grey" series, after all the terribly sad tears shred with the first book, this one made me shred thousands of happy tears to compensate, harry and draco deserved their paradise long time ago and my heart is warmed at the fact that they found it together. 🤍

“Draco doesn't know that he and Harry will spend many happy years together, full of laughter and joy, bickering through the days, falling in love and flirting with hate and claiming the time they always deserved. He doesn't know that they'll fight, that they'll make up, that they'll share hoodies and visit France and watch in pride as their children grow.  Right now, he doesn't know that these things await him. He doesn't know that paradise is not a place, but a feeling. He doesn't know that he doesn't have to search for it, that he already has it, that he has had it for a long time and will know it in the way he always dreamed of.  He doesn't know, but he will one day understand. Paradise is not something he needs to seek; it is something he carries with him every day. It isn't anything he will ever have thought possible, or believed himself capable of having. ”

Oh, my poor heart. 🥹 I absolutely ADORE this second book. I thought the first was sweet and romantic in places, but it's got NOTHING on this book. It has turned me to mush.

I LOVED watching everything from Draco's perspective, especially his continued love for Harry. I'm very envious of their (admittedly entirely fictional) relationship. It makes my bleeding heart bleed that much more.

And seeing their future come together is so very satisfying. I love the detail and thought that went into creating a life for them - I'm glad that this book wasn't just a rehasing of everything in the first one, but an extension and look into their life after, a life they all deserved - yes, even old Voldy in his own monstrous way (who would have ever suspected to feel anything other than hate for him?? Harry would be proud).

I'm not sure any other story will top this one, but I'm a curious sort, so I'll give them a chance too. Because life is full of surprises and Paradise is where you make it. 🖤

this was a cute and sappy continuation/ending, everything about it was adorable!
however, I cannot stop myself from missing Voldemort and particularly Harry and Voldemort together. in the end, when voldemort is mentioned, I cried because I missed the troublesome-child-and-his-malicious-godfather-dynamic. I know it seems unreasonable to put it in the story beacuse Harry just sort of outgrew that phase. well, I didn't and I miss the dark lord :(
anyway, even tough I hate children I still enjoyed this story trough and through.

I may not have cried after reading, “Harry Potter and the Welcome to the World of Grey”, but the first chapter of “Draco Malfoy and the Path to Paradise” made me bawl like a baby because I could feel the sense of anxiety and loss and love that Draco has for Harry in this fic. It is when the inevitable happens and everything is dark. I admire Draco’s strength because he was able to overcome the battles that he had to face. It's so precious and wholesome. Also Voldemort made me cry. I swear this fic series altered the chemicals in my brain.

oh this was just wonderful!

So much pain in the first chapter but the uttermost joy in everything else. Obviously this made me cry a few times, both from how absolutely devastated I was and the amount of cuteness portrayed. Absolutely love Velevita and the Dark Lord's ending.

I just loved it

One of the few examples that the sequel can be just as good as the first one. I love it with all my heart

It is the nicest ending ever to a novel that seemed to have a horribly miserable ending
I am grateful for your hard work. It was one of the most enjoyable novels I have ever read
