He wasn’t who I thought he was.

A man nine years my junior, Mateo had access to secrets he shouldn’t have, and knowledge of things he had no right to know.
That didn’t stop me from falling for him the moment we met. Or letting him hold my heart in his hands.

I thought the secrets I held would change the way he looked at me. But as the truth came out, my world went to war against our greatest enemy, and it was his secrets that put everything that mattered most at risk.

The question was, would we both make it through unscathed, or would one of us have to make the ultimate sacrifice?

Just wow!!! The Queen had me on edge and freaking the heck out at times! Loyalty , love and family that are united and stronger than ever. The Queen was such a strong and powerful heroine ! I couldn't of loved her character more. Mateo is the perfect soul mate. Headstrong and just two utterly amazing people. This book was absolutely incredible!! I seriously cannot wait for The Ghost! I want more of the entire family!!

Moving the Queen into position 👑

Gosh, this story was amazing. A bit more fast paced in some areas which I thoroughly enjoyed but the characters have so much depth, they keep you enthralled and the storyline is complex and continuously unfolding😱 Be aware this story runs concurrently with the first two books in some areas which I loved purely because I got a feel for what the other characters were doing at similar times to events that occurred in the other books❤️

Mateo and G are tasked with finding Lia’s sister and mother and when they find them, Mateo and Queenie discover each other and the world around them disappears❣️Amazing story and I’m looking forward to Ghost’s story next😬 Thank you to Ellie for my advanced copy which I voluntarily leave my honest review for😁

I loved the characters in this story. They were attractive in their characteristics - strong and compelling. The storyline was incredible in its delivery - drama, suspense, intrigue and mystery. The connection with the previous books in the series provided depth and detail which was something I absolutely adored.

This is the last Medina siblings story in this series before heading onto Ghost’s or G’s story. I suggest to read the others before this since they all flow together to creat a bigger and more sinister story of what they all are facing and if the good will win over the bad and the costs that the guys pay and the women to feel. Attention grabbing from the start and won’t let up even after it’s at the end.. you’ll become addicted to the action and the love in each story and this one is no exception since it’s ends with Tessa kidnapped by their brother, and Yannie getting Queenie to come with them to find Carlos.... so now we must wait for G’s story to find out if they get Tessa to safety...

*Possible spoilers
Mateo was forced to stay out of the ‘family’s’ business when his father was murdered but really at the age of 7 he found his way in the darknet, found a fellow hacker, the rest is history or actually he digs into everyone’s history and has for many years. His family didn’t even know a smidgen of what he knows and has done.
QueenIe is is the illegitimate daughter of Paulo D’Angelo, Paulo’s weakness and well guarded secret, only a few trusted men knew of her identity. She was also trained along side her fathers men. Lia’s mother was at a time Queenie’s babysitter and they became close friends as Queenie grew up, and Queenie was the voice behind Lia’s mother to take Lia and Tessa and to run away from the Silva‘s, but only one survived the wreck, Tessa. Paulo forced Queenie to take Tessa and to his away in a different state for ‘punishment’ and they stayed banished until Meteo shows up with G years later. Queenie is 10 years older then Mateo and she known his father. But when Mateo convinces the girls to go back home will lead into many surprises, betrayals and life or death bullet....

The Queen is an edge of your seat, nail biting, thrill ride that kept my heart racing while I was on the edge of my seat.  Now, in the Hitman series, all the books are about a separate couple, but the main suspenseful story line follows from book to book to book so you really have to read them in order. Each of these books definitely gave us breadcrumbs with those intense twists & turns that get the loud f-bombs dropping cover to cover.  However, there's also each couple who shine through, and this time around it was Queenie & Mateo, and boy were they absolutely on fire!  All their chemistry was out of control as they shot sparks in every direction, and it felt like those sparks actually came through my kindle.  I'm saying that because I want y'all to understand how potent it is, and isn't that the best?!  I will warn you that you really don't want to start this story before bed because it's impossible to put it down until every last work is devoured.  So, join me in this colorfully brilliant world by hitting those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

The Queen is book three in the Hit Man series and I do suggest you read in order. This one ends in a cliffhanger leading to the next where as the first three kinda run at the same time ( some events overlap and yet are explained you will wonder who some of these key players are ) so it’s best to read them all ( you won’t regret it they’re all good.
I was curious as to who Queen-was since there was a mention of a woman with Mateo in the previous book but not any hints to whom she was. I was pretty much surprised.

This series is well written and very well plotted out. Each scene, book, character, subplot all plays well of each other. The story very well orchestrated and wow what a twist.
If you like older women, younger men, hackers, mobsters, crime families, Hitman ( and women) lots of action and heat. This is for you! Now bring on The Ghost!

I have been devouring mafia romance stories, and "The Hitman" series is Ah..Maz…Ing!

Suspense, steaminess, fantastic dialogue, fantastic characters.

How does Ms. Isaacson do this? I have been an avid reader for most of my life. To write, to be able to write.... Her debut, and a series at that, that keeps me coming back for more!

I'm counting the days until the next in the series!

I received an advanced reader copy, and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This is the 3rd book in this phenomenal series and is Mateo and Queenie’s story. This is a well written flawless and intense story which is filled with family dynamics, loyalty, action, twists, suspense, deception, secrets, and love which all lead to a steamy and all-consuming tale, which had me totally enthralled throughout. I look forward to reading more from this author, and I highly recommend this series for all.

Dark and Gritty!
I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major characters, but the minor ones too.

Also, it caused me to lose quite a bit of sleep while I was reading it, because it was so hard to put down at night.

OMG. OMG. OMG.
The book I've been waiting for is here and I couldn't start it fast enough.
I really love Mafia books and this lady has given me two books already. Oh boy.
Ellie Isaacson is the author that I'm talking about and her writing is super raw and wild.
Just give her one chance and you'll see for yourself.
The Queen is her latest release and it's the third book from The Hitman series.
If you want and advise, read The Hitman first, then The Boss, and only then read this new book.
This new book explores the lives of Mateo and Queenie.
Mateo had tragedy marked his childhood but that didn't make him less than a strong man. He knows what he wants and will take it if necessary.
Along with his brother and sister, that have a small business. But not your ordinary business, it's more like kill on demand.
This book starts, 5 years early, with him seeking revenge for...
Queenie is one hard woman that will do everything in her power to achieve whatever she wants.
When she made a promise she would do everything she could to achieve it. No matter what.
One failed job and...
Great plot, super engaging and dark.
This book was exactly what I was looking for.
It had suspense and mystery all over.
One minute things were going in one way the then it changed dramatically.
I was laughing and then I was almost into tears.
It was great to have all the questions I wanted answers after reading the first two books.
So much was happening and I couldn't stop reading.
Nor did I wanted to, if I'm being honest.
If you're a lover for a dark romance, grab this series and see for yourself.
Don't forget to read the first two books and only then read this one.
You will love it. Trust me.
Ellie... Amazing girl. This book nailed it and I'm eager to read the next one.
Will you take too long? God, I hope not.  I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I’m really enjoying this series!
I love how they are running concurrently.
It gives a more intense and feel to everything.
It makes for a more dynamic atmosphere.
This book centers around Mateo.
Wow he turned out to be such a complex intriguing character.
The other main player is Queenie.
I loved her.
She’s strong and so freaking loyal.
She loves with her whole being and gives of her self selflessly.
From the first moment they lay eyes on one another there is an immediate attraction.
It just blooms from there.
Very well written and delivers the maximum effect.
Which is what a mafia story should do.
I’m so excited for the next story!
