Rate this book
The fiery Caroline Folton harbours a deep hatred for Henry Beaufort that dates back to their childhood. Even a couple of encounters is all it takes for her to conclude he's the worst person on earth. However, upon meeting again in their adult years, Caroline is shocked to discover that a burning desire for him begins to grow inside her...

When she's supposed to detest him, why does she suddenly find him so scandalously enticing?

Henry has been the scapegoat all his life; everyone thinks he's the troublemaker, the bad brother. His deepest desire though is that Caroline would have no hatred for him if she learned the truth about his character... Although her beautiful eyes haunt his dreams every night, things become more complicated when his brother decides that she is a conquest he can easily win.

Will Henry be able to fight against his brother's wishes and be with the woman who has reawakened his passion and captured his heart?

As fate conspires to bring them together once more, Henry and Caroline can't stop fantasising about sinful and intimate moments with each other. Will their lustful romance be enough to completely change Caroline's mind about Henry? Will their passionate affair triumph over every obstacle, including Henry's own brother?

"Awakened By The Lord's Kiss" is a historical romance novel of approximately 80,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

Driven by hatred.
This is a tale of two brothers and one young woman. In this tale one brother is always blamed for injures and misdeed yet is he really the bad one? Henry is forced to leave home and go in the Navy. Here he makes a name for himself but when he is forced to take leave he has to return home. There he finds his brother James had convinced ever one including his parent he does not deserve to be the next duke that he is an evil man. Like everyone Caroline believes everything is Henry's fault. These three characters are an interesting group. The drama and emotions in this book are very intense as the truth of who the brothers really are comes into play. It is a good story. It is easy to see who the villain is but, the consequences of his actions may be a heavy price to pay. It was a mixed bag of emotions at the ending of the book. It was a very engaging and thought provoking tale.

Hate to Love emerges successfully

Fantastic characters in form of hero, heroine and supportive friends and family. Loved the story line of how a person can be maligned by everyone around while actually being a great person. Could not put the book down and read it in less than two days. Fast moving story which is a pleasure to read. Highly recommended

Nice reading

For being a big brother he took all the blame for what his younger brother did so he took all the punishment for all his brother did. He fell in love with the young girl that got hurt from his brother. He had to prove he was not the one who hurt her finally the true came out his brother. To finally marry her have a family and respect from his parents.

MAGNIFICENT

What a beautiful story. I was impressed with Caroline and her brief encounters with Henry. More so I was impressed with the man he became even after all the putdowns he suffered. Read and enjoy

She finally fell in love with the right brother

Take a younger brother who always seems to get his way for the villain and an older brother for a hero. Mix well with a lovely neighbor for the heroine an cringe as villain succeeds until the HEA.

Highly recommended!

This book is a fucking beast. I’m all for slow-burn and brooding but… All key relationship development scenes (leg injury, family dinner, 2nd dance, private dinner, stabbing, sick bed) are not written out. We read about as the characters reflect back. For this reason, there is no payoff for reading 550 pages. I feel so fucking cheated.

I was also quite disappointed that James didn’t add more conflict. I was expecting him to be a bit more clever with a more solid plan for seduction. What a shame he was killed off. Felt like a cop out.

I also think Caroline flipped wayyyy to quickly. We read 9 chapters about her hating him, and in the span of 5 pages, with no forethought, she’s forgiven Henry. WTF

The confession of love was done in a storage room with a 3rd party present. That 3rd party most likely had strong feelings for one of them. Very strange.

The H eventually turns into somewhat of a broody alpha. He growls a lot ?????

I could not believe how disrespectful Caroline was to Henry's parents.

Also, the servants flipped to supporting Henry wayyy too quickly.

I kinda feel bad giving this such a low rating. I really enjoyed the story. Despite its length, it didn't feel long enough. I think a lot of what I mentioned above were the result of a lot of editing.
