Some good and helpful tips for dealing with stress and anxiety. Not overly involved which can be an advantage if you’re interested in the information but don’t necessarily have the time to devote to reading about it. I thought the technique that was most helpful was NAV- navigating challenging emotions. As someone who experiences a lot of anxiety I thought NAV (name, accept, and validate) seemed to be an effective way to cope with what feels sometimes impossible. I also found many of the teachings in line with my meditation practice which is ultimately the best thing I have found for dealing with anxiety. So while the book does not go into great detail, it doesn’t mean to, and that can help in that it doesn’t overwhelm with a lot of information. I plan on recommending it to some loved ones who experience anxiety as I do and would appreciate a short but helpful guide in coping.

This was a great book. This book gave me some tools to better my emotional health, which I will explore. Plus, the Calm Coach gets straight to the point on page one, so you don't have to be bogged down by so many pages worth of dribble. I know that eventually I will have to read the whole thing again to fully get a good idea of some of the exercises (Even the book admits that we all have short attention spans, and should start practicing immediately instead of waiting for the right time).

A book I will be going back to for little reminders on how to cope with anxiety and how to utilize self-compassion. A must read for anyone dealing with stress or anxiety.

This is the very first time, I’ve finished digesting a book within one week. Normally, my reading pace for one book can prolong to months. At first, I was attracted by its cover when I came across it at the bookstore. Fortunately, it turned out to be very interesting. The author slowly introduces different types of stresses and the related reactions from mind, body, behavior. Then, some simple solutions are added to improve the negative feelings. After digesting this book slowly, I somehow can evaluate my current mental health. Hope that over the time I can apply more self-calm methods from this book.

No me ha desagradado, pero me esperaba más, el título no es acertado ya que habla de la tranquilidad y se enfoca todo desde el evitar el estrés. Igualmente me quedo con algunos detalles que seguro que me vendrán bien.
