Once satisfied with meaningless flings, the combat death of Navy SEAL Cage Mitchell’s best friend prompts him to retire from the military and look for deeper meaning in life. That includes pondering whether he’s ready for a wife and children.
What Cage doesn’t bargain for is falling for his younger brother Cameron’s girlfriend, Monae Williams. Monae, a sincere young woman, is passionate about working with foster children because she grew up in the rough-and-tumble foster system. She’s ready to settle down, but her boyfriend is more interested in seeking an Air Force promotion.
Honor and duty, the core of Cage’s character, prevent him from pursuing Monae; but when her relationship with Cameron ends, Cage tosses duty to his family aside. Usually guarded, Monae has fallen just as hard for Cage. All sorts of fallouts ensue . . . but Monae has already seduced the SEAL , and there may be no turning back.

Wow! This story had a number of Mitchell revelations and they made for a great story. But at least one was glossed over and with the governor in the family in reality it would have been a bigger issue. Cage and Monae read a good couple that deserve their HEA.
Cage and Monae have anything but a meet cute beginning. Monae is dating Cage's brother, Cameron. And even though Monae and Cameron's relationship wasn't going anywhere it didn't make Cage and Monae's attraction easier. But then anything worthwhile is worth working for.
Great characters, with lots of layers and depth, kept me turning the pages. This story was well-written and easily captured my attention. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone who likes their romance with grit.
The narrator did a wonderful job and added to the experience.
This book starts off with a bit of a love triangle. Cage Mitchell is interested in his brother's girlfriend, Monae. Both of them do respect the current relationship even though there is a strong attraction. When Monae's relationship with Cameron ends, she begins seeing Cage. I could not believe the reaction of Cage's family! Cage and Monae are both honorable individuals, but it's not always up to the Mitchell standards.
I listened to the audiobook. I enjoyed the narrator.
This story had me and my feelings all over the place I loved Cage, and I was really annoyed by the way he was treated by his family even before he realized Monae was dating his younger brother Cameron. The Mitchell family dynamics was something else. Each of the Mitchell men from the grandfather to the youngest brother all came with their own unique set of characteristics. I won’t even talk about Camille Mitchell,Gurl what a surprise she turned out to be.
When I say my feelings were all over the place, at first I couldn’t understand why Cage., the middle child, didn’t seem to have an advocate In his family ,other than his sister in Law. No one really seemed to recognize the agony he was going after leaving the military ,losing his best friend and trying to adjust to civilian life. And than there was the seemingly impossible entanglement he found himself in. I was angry with Monae because I felt like she could have handled things differently when she visited Martha’s Vineyard ( like she should have turned down the invitation. To start with) but she didn’t and added insult to injury by not leaving early when she realized the true temptation she was dealing with.
I attempted to stop reading the book so many times because my heart was hurting for Cage ( perhaps I have a soft spot for his type of bad boy ☺️) and I just couldn’t see how this story was going to end well. So I’ll just say ,I’m so glad I continued reading ☺️❤️
Monae and Cage are the most selfish characters ever. I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was looking forward to learning more about the black sheep of the family, Cage, who we didn’t know existed while reading Caden and Savi’s story.
In book one we are introduced to Monae who is dating Cameron. In the epilogue we find out that Cage has retired from being a SEAL and is introduced to Monae at a family gathering.
Start book 2 and Cage actually flirted with Monae and there was mutual attraction. That’s fine. But these two folks acted like they were martyrs for fighting the mutual attraction and not acting on it. It was messy and I didn’t like it.
There was too much going on at the end and the twist regarding Cameron was unnecessary. I guess that was a way to make him interesting? Cause little of what we saw of him I found him boring as hell. I guess it makes sense that Monae would be more attracted to Cage.
The narration of "Seducing the SEAL" brings the drama to life with such flair that it's impossible not to get drawn in. Cage Mitchell, a Navy SEAL grappling with the realities of loss and love, unexpectedly falls for Monae Williams, the girlfriend of his younger brother. Their story is one of forbidden flames igniting in a whirlwind of family secrets and military honor. "Seducing the SEAL" is an intricate dance of passion and loyalty, where the lines of family ties blur in the heat of romance. I was gripped by the scandalous turn—Monae switches brothers, and the drama explodes. Cage and Monae's love feels so right, yet so wrong, but I couldn't look away. With family secrets more tangled than a soap opera, this story is a deliciously juicy tale that's worth every minute. Get ready for twists that are as spicy as they are surprising! #JuicyReads #Bookstagram #bookreviews #ilovereading
Seducing the Seal is a fitting title for book 2 of the Mitchell Brothers series. Cage Mitchell’s career as a Navy Seal always kept him on some mission and away from his family. He is now home for good after making a change. There is something missing in Monae William’s relationship with Cameron Mitchell, Cage’s younger brother. They’ve spent too much time apart and the thrill is gone.
The premise behind Monae and Cage meeting is realistic, considering Cage never stayed in town long enough to hang out with his family. The attraction between Monae and Cage is instant, and totally unexpected. Beyond the physical, their connection is undeniable and the chemistry is explosive. I hated this book with everything within me. I had to force myself to finish it. I hate stories that try to make awful people into heroes. I feel like the author tried WAY too hard to get the reader to empathize with Cage and Mona. Wrapping everything up in a big pretty bow at the end was the last straw for me. I hated every single character except for the dad by the end of the story. He was the only character that stood firm in his beliefs throughout the book and not for the BS. The story itself however was well written and the plot moved accordingly. A good story should make you feel SOMETHING, even if it’s disdain. I would and have read other books by this author.
Now talk about a plot line that has your head go huh. Traditional road to HAE this is not. Like you know this type of story exist in real life and is someone's truth, but for an author to place it in a fictional romance book is bold. St. John decision to tackle this family of the Mitchell s with this level of scandal is jaw dropping. Monae while you root for her because of her past, if you're honest you giving major side eye. Similarly when it comes to Cage. You're like darn so this what this going to be.
You have some heart pull moments and you'll have to be objective to allow this story to play out.
This was an enjoyable love story. The Governor, Savannah, and Liam are still doing their thing. Secrets are embedded in the Mitchell family. I remember the mother from book 1, now look at her skeletons that come alive regarding Cameron. I did not like the father, Cal at all but the grandfather was cool. Monae came up in foster care and I was glad she found her happiness in the end. I love this author, a good book to read.
Sometimes with these forbidden live tropes, I cannot figure how why no isn't possible. If the lady is in a relationship with someone else, and you should not involve yourself in the entanglement- move on. Why is that so difficult? I guess the story would no longer be forbidden. The story overall was good. Let's see what happens with the other Mitchell brother.
Cage and Monae feel a connection the first time they see each other. There's a problem, she's dating Cage's brother. Fate won't let them stay away from one another. When it all comes to a head, they have to choose what's best for them. I love Cage and Monae because they are perfect for one another. I also love the scandal that's bigger than their relationship. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
This was a love story about Monae Williams and Cage Mitchell. They met at a family function celebrating the new governor of Maryland. Originally she was dating the baby brother of the family when she met and instantly was attracted to Cage, a former Navy Seal. While the relationship between baby brother Cameron fizzled the instant attraction became Cafe's happily ever after.
The Mitchell brothers all serve their country in various branches of the military. The drama between them is a keg of dynamite. The drama in Seducing the Seal is centered around the middle brother, Cage. Seducing the Seal had numerous drop-the-mic scenes and some holy cow scenes.
I have been a fan of Yahrah for years; this series is truly a masterpiece. Going to start the last book in the trilogy.
Monae did indeed seduce her seal though he tried to resist because of his brother. When the Mitchell's learned of their attraction there was hell to pay. Monae fear of being a problem for Cage with his family and him hating her for it made an attempt to break things off. But after taking with Cameron Cage went and got his woman. Good read.
Cage and Monae had a wild love story. He was her boyfriend's brother. She broke up with the boyfriend and then things heated up with Cage. It causes issues in his family but he doesn't care. He has to have her. I really enjoyed this story. A lot was revealed within the family dynamic and I can't wait to read the next book.
I really enjoyed this story. I was a little upset with Cage and Monae at the beginning of this story, because I knew they were going to hurt Cameron, but the heart wants what it wants. I truly felt sorry for their parents, but I know in time love will heal all wounds. And Cameron will find his love.
Love this story. Two lost souls found true love. The twist and turns made this book interesting and enjoyable. Guess we will find out in the next story what was the outcome of Cameron.
Cage needed a change and found it where he least expected it. Monae never really had a family's love but was looking for it. They found what they looking for together but wasn't easy. Loved it.
This book is a absolute favorite and a must read. Cage is such a powerhouse and his rough exterior makes him that more appealing and sexy. Family is important but so is love, I am glad him and Monae were able to explore the chemistry and love building between them.
But worth traveling. Yahrah made me really fall for this couple. I wanted them to get their HEA so bad. Cage’s father was insufferable and I’m not sure I really like his mother either. Seems they did damage to all three boys in the name of family image.
Good read, this was a love story with all the drama and deceit, that makes for an interesting read. Cage and Monae are a great match, but their pairing wasn’t without collateral damage.
Oh wee this was a wonderful book! Camilla is a trip, she had the nerve to be upset with Monae while she had her own skeleton! Cage deserved Monae more than Cameron did! Cameron was a good sport and I was happy he reunited Cage and Monae! Happily ever after!!
I loved the story. I didn’t like that they let kelp their feelings a secret and not be honest from the start. Glad that Cameron was happy for them in the end
