Took me several months to finish this book as I took my time to really copy and Understand each page in the art book. Overall this book greatly improved my understanding and skill of drawing folds and creases and I would recommend to any artist that wishes to improve their skill.

This book is a great resource for sketching without references. I love how thoughtfully designed the book is; it's small, portable and the pages lay flat. Despite its compact size, it's packed with insightful drawings and concise, helpful explanations that make learning effortless.

* Imagine wrapping a cylinder in fabric
* Find the point of tension / multiple tension points
* Remember that stiching and volume affects folds and creases
* Consider weight and material when illustrating stifness/fluidity

This is an absolutely brilliant book if you want great tips on how to draw fabric: how the weight and type can vary, and how it hangs on the human body as various types of clothing. As with all of his books, Michel Lauricella offers his advice in easy to understand ways, accompanied by gorgeous sketches. Unlike a lot of drawing books, he doesn't try and give you step-by-step tutorials to follow, but instead breaks down the anatomy you're working with, whether that's the human form or (in this case) the clothing on top of it, and presents it to you in ways that allow you to really understand how it all works.
Definitely a handy addition to any artist's toolkit!
