Highly recommend people read it

I will admit when I read the title I was convinced it must be a paranormal book, however it isn't. It is however about the redemption of the hero the tall dark and handsome Mr Robert Stone. But you will have to read it if you want to know more about that element of it.

Robert meets Brooke, a chance meeting which is the beginning of a whirlwind romance, neither of them expected to occur.

I loved Robert as he is strong, sexy, loving and lovable (despite him thinking he is unworthy of love). Brooke is independent, feisty, confident and the perfect match for Robert.

I also loved the pace of the book. You are never bored or left wanting to skim over things. Tracie has a style which introduces humour and sexiness, making it the perfect book to read.

Pick up your copy now. I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

I was really looking forward to reading this after reading the prequel and learning about Robert's life story. By the end of the prequel we finally got to the successful but tortured man and I was excited about reading all about him finally achieving the impossible and gaining a love interest.

Unfortunately, unlike the prequel, this was rushed and instead a a delicious build up of anticipation, it was improbable insta-love. By 5% they'd met, kissed (and he rarely kisses), taken her out on dates in public and bumped uglies. I felt a bit cheated out of a decent romance, it all seemed a bit lame.

To make matters worse, Robert had seemed such a unique character in the prequel. He's an intimidating and charismatic former crime boss with a strong conscience. I love a badass, absolutely love them, but I didn't get that vibe from Robert in this one. Instead, he seemed more like a Christian Grey wannabe. And I've had my fill of them.

The repeats also drove me nuts. As Robert and Brooke get to know one another he tells her all about his background. At various other times Brooke would repeat edited highlights of his back story to her bestie in a bid to explain his behaviour. Coming into this on the back of the prequel, I already knew those details. I got it the first time and could've done without hearing about it over and over again.

There's some drama that really pulled this story out of the abyss for me by really turning up the excitement and pulling me in. But that said, this felt like a very different book from the prequel. The chemistry was missing for me and I desperately missed the anticipation of feeling all their 'firsts' as I was hoping to.

There is a third part to this, but this is a complete story.

This is my 2nd book I've read of Tracie Podger's in 2 days. To say her books are marvellous and addictive doesn't quite cut it for me lol.

I love a bad boy as the next woman or man (depends on what your preference is). BUT OMG was I ready to meet Mr Robert Stone himself in this 1st book of a series. Brooke Stiles isn't a woman to mess with neither. She's a feisty woman with a mind of her own.

A feisty woman meets a man who is feisty, dependable and damn right sexy. She fights tooth and nail to unearth the secrets behind Mr Robert Stone's demeanor without asking so many questions. Is this a Mafia type book, OH NO it's damn right sexy, ruthless and heart-stopping for you. A British woman meets American drop dead gorgeous man with a secret and a history that he will do ANYTHING to hide from a woman who he thinks will hurt him like hell.

Can't wait to read the next installment to see what these characters get up to next. JOIN ME IF YOU DARE for Fallen Angel, Part 2 ;)

Brooke comes and visits Her best friend Sam for a few weeks. Then Meets Robert. Robert was tall dark and handsome. Brook and Robert were drawn to each other from the beginning. Brooke continued to spend time with Robert and not wanting to leave. after A few weeks of being there Robert asks her to stay. She agrees because she believes they need to explore what is going on between the two of them.
Then Someone Starts stalking Brooke & Robert and they keep getting threatening messages and pictures of them together. So Robert boosts security. This book was amazing it offered suspense, Drama, Love at first sight. and Even gave Steamy chemistry that came off the pages. Then The best part was the sizzling hot sexy scenes through out the book!!
The Question is Will Brooke end up returning home? Or will She stay and plan her life with Robert? Will Robert's secret make Brooke change her mind about who he is. Pick up the book to find out!!

2018 review:
I originally read this book in 2014 and knowing that part 5 is coming out at the end of the month I wanted to re-read for a refresher.
I loved this book the first time I read it and there is no change reading it the second time around. I had forgot in parts what would happen. But I never forget the connection that Brooke and Robert shared, and I got to experience it all over again.
This book and series for me will always be a all time favourite. You know your reading a fantastic book when you re read it and it still gives you all the feels from the first time!

2014 review:
**BOOK REVIEW** Fallen Angel Part I by Tracie Podger
This book captivated me from the start. Brooke is a very strong female character, which I loved straight away and Robert is your Alpha male kind. ;)
Brooke is going to Washington DC, to spend some quality time with her best friend Sam. (who I love) She has just split from a boring 10 year relationship. She wants time away from her ex because he can't quite get it through his head that they aren't together any more.
Brooke meets Mr Stone on her first day there, then he invites her for dinner, they have a wild night of sex. But Brooke is slowly starting to fall in love with him.
Robert Stone is the kind of man that has one night stands. He wont have a relationship for fear of his past coming out. He doesn't understand how to love or be loved. Robert struggles with his feelings for Brooke, when someone normally gets too close he pushes them away, but he can't do that with Brooke, there is something different about her.
Brooke knows what she has been searching for, he has just been found. Her future is already planned for her and she has to try to heal a man that is truly broken by his past.
This book is about a couple who meet, fall in love but have there ups and downs. They don't run away, Brooke and Robert both want it to work so they push through all of their hard times.
I loved this book!!
It is such a strong and powerful story, Brooke and Robert are amazing characters and they work so well together. It was not at all what I was expecting from the story, there were twists and turns that where so unexpected and unpredictable.
I don't want to go into too much detail about the book because I don't want to ruin anything but Robert's back story was NOT what I expected at all. I loved Everly and Travis, they are Robert's support and family he needs.
Brooke has had a hard life too, but she isn't one to sit and feel sorry for herself.

This was a lovely story about love, fighting for what you want, trust in other people and so much more.

If you haven't read this story then what the hell are you waiting for?

Reviewed by Claire Rose on behalf of Kindle Friends Forever.

I asked a very good friend of mine about these books as I was unsure. She told me little about the novel without spoiling it for me and of course, when she asked me if I’d like to review it for KFF, I just jumped at the chance! I was so into the book, I read it in one day. Hungry for more, I dived straight into book two without putting it down for one minute. The author of this series has gained herself a big fan in less than forty-eight hours, so I will most certainly be one clicking all her books in the future.

Well, first we meet Brooke. Long black hair, thirty years old and living in England. After ending a ten year relationship, she decides to go to America to visit her best friend, Sam, who is gay and I might add, I loved to bits. While staying with him, Brooke slowly comes to terms with her life back home as she has not had the best childhood. Parents who raised her, simply ignored her, favouring her sibling more, and a romance that was going nowhere.

Dropping by Sam’s workplace, she gets this strange feeling that someone is watching her. When she turns around, huge black eyes are staring at her. Instant connection is there which goes straight to her soul. Robert’s fathomless eyes, his gorgeous black hair, and Italian looks astound her. Obviously she has no idea who he is or where he comes. He wants Brooke instantly and can feel the strong connection, too. The more we get to know Robert, the more we find he has this dark and dangerous side to him. A troubled past that he refuses to let anyone know about, or even get the slightest bit close to. There are only two people he trusts and loves and the three of them together are a close-knit family.

Throughout the novel we see Robert and Brooke fall for each other but it’s going to be a very big struggle. What they both go through had me holding my breath in some parts and making me a nervous wreck. I have no intention of spoiling this brilliant read for you, so won't tell you any more. I highly recommend you read this book; it most definitely won't disappoint. Furthermore, you won't want to put the book down until the end. I rate this book five stars as the author more than deserves it. The writing is superb, the storyline has its twists and turns leaving me saying WOW when I finished the book.

Review:

I always feel a little daunted going into books I've heard so much about and heard people raving about, for fear of not enjoying it or doing the book justice, but I'm going to try. Because Robert Stone deserves it!

No truer words spoken to start this epic book and me review of ...

Excerpt:
Can you handle Robert Stone and the roller coaster that you're going to be on?
....are you ready for the ride?

In true me style, I went in knowing nothing, no blurb (because I like to live life on the edge like that!) and the instant connection and spark between Robert and Brooke is simply incredible. But It's clear that Mr Stone is a solitary man....because anything else is a loss of control to him. Something he feels very particular about given his history.

Excerpt:
People in love hurt each other all the time, it's what they do about it after that matters, Robert.

But the man we see open infront of our eyes, in the pages of this book is like a mystery unwinding in the very pages of the book. And all at the hands of Brooke. The love of a good woman fixes him back together. Marking of the mental checklist of the progress he makes throughout the story.

Excerpt:
He was shedding his old life and starting to embrace a new one.

But with certain aspects being kept from Brooke, we all knew something had to be festering. Surely this perfect bloody man couldn't be that perfect...but as the missing information is give to piece together the jigsaw, would Brooke be able to deal with the overall picture? With the truth?

Excerpt:
I knew so much more about him and whether I liked it or not, I was still in love with him and I still wanted to be with him. There seemed to be an unexplainable tie, I hardly understood it, but even knowing what I did, I know I would not leave.

An exhilarating, mind blowing, brilliant paced story that constantly kept you guessing. All the hype I had heard about this book was very much deserved. I am beyond excited to start Part 2 of the Fallen Angel next and review asap!

Final excerpt:
A Fallen Angel is one rejected by God because they have chosen to sin.

STOP THE PRESS!! I have a front page exclusive. Fallen Angels by Author Tracie Podger is NOT a paranormal. For all of you who read the title of a book and skip past the cover and make your mind up there and then, stop doing that. Read the blurb, ask around. This book is EPIC!! Can you hear me shouting, EPICALLY AWESOME!!!!

Who loves a hot bad boy? Yeah me too but Robert Stone is no hot bad boy. He's a hot dangerous man. Jesus I have had tingles running all over my body reading this book.
This man has been a danger to my blood pressure.

Okay here's a little spoiler free summary.
Brooke Stiles travels to America to visit her life long best friend Sam and his partner Scott after walking out on her relationship with now ex, Michael.

Not even after being there a week she comes face to face with the most dangerous pair of eyes she's ever come across. She has conflicting emotions and well basically her whole life is flipped up side down.

Secrets, so many secrets. Drama, so much drama. Sex, so much sex, smiley face inserted here. Danger, so much danger.
The story of Robert Stone and Brooke Stiles is one crazy loving rollercoaster ride.

Best friends become part of you, making them family. Blood doesn't make up family. The bonds that tie people together can be stronger than any blood relative.

While Robert is trying to deal with work, protecting those who mean so much to him, Brooke is trying to come to terms with what it means to be in a relationship with a man like Robert. Really she knows she has no choice. HE IS THE ONE!! No more doubts, no more searching, she feels it deep in her heart and in her soul that he is the man she needs to be with and Robert needs Brooke like he needs air to breathe.

God this read is intense but so magical. I swear I must of sworn at least a hundred times while reading. I was gasping, smiling, swearing. The Author brought out so many emotions that it can only mean one thing, no make that two. She portrayed the characters so well that the story came alive for me. I was so gripped by this book I could not put it down.
I have to say Author Tracie Podger is an exceptional writer that has a new fan.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I have beyond loved this book.

WOW
If a book could be summarised in one word this BOOK will be called OUTSTANDING. This was a complete surprise read, Tracie Podger has totally captivated me and I can just say, "move over EL James there's a new girl in town!!"
I picked it up after being recommended by my best friend who didn't say what it was about only that it was a 5 star read.
In all honesty as I read the first few chapters I just didn't know what to expect, things were moving fast and just didn't know where the story was going, but as soon as it progressed it just got better and better and soon we were involved in an action packed, romantic, passionate and love filled journey.
There's so much to this story it will be unfair of me to even contemplate to tell you what is about, all I can say is that this book is one of a kind, this story is original and, yes we are presented with a very typical alpha male lead but his story is very complex and the events that lead to to man he has now become are totally unexpected. Robert Stone has many secrets and throughout the story we get glimpses of his past and the cruel and emotional experiences that have shape him. In another hand, Brooke is not your traditional female heroine, she's strong and badass and once she meets Robert the connection is so profound regardless of what she discovers about Robert only makes her fall harder for him.
The secondary characters are brilliantly portrayed and I can already see how I am going to enjoy each of their stories.

I thoroughly enjoyed, no correction, loved this first instalment of Fallen Angel, and as as soon as I finish my review I'm downloading the second part as I can't wait to read and find out what happens next.

If you want to fall madly in love with a book pick up your story of Fallen Angel I can guarantee you won't be disappointed perhaps only of not reading fast enough to reach the gripping end.

I would love to be able to say that this book was the best book I'd read this year. That isn't quite true, but I knew from the first page on, that the book had potential to be extraordinary. We'll start there and work our way down.

The story, the concept, the arc - just wonderful. I was getting tired of "mafia" stories being about Russians and Albanians, and whatever. In Europe, you say Cosa Nostra, but somehow in the U.S. they're Mafia. The Russians and Albanians are brutal, uncaring, violent, bloody and nothing better than gangs. I was getting so tired of people romanticizing them and I was really pleased to see that Ms. Podger didn't do that. The dialogue in this book is realistic for the two personality types and the narrative is consistent.

The part that took away stars? The misuse of odd grammatical phrases and mis-spellings. There were sentences that needed editing and whole paragraphs that were filled with spelling errors and the misuse of words. Proofing and editing were not standouts in the production of this book. And yes, it DID take away from the book for me, not because there were "just a few" but because there were so many. Multiple times, I found myself re-reading a paragraph just to make sure that the error didn't cause me to read something incorrectly. That's frustrating for someone who reads as much as I do. Yes, I know errors get around everyone, and one or two you won't find me complaining about, but many and yes, I will.

Is it making me stop reading? NOPE. I've already read up to Book 6, so I have to say that is HOW GOOD the story is. Thank you Ms Podger for your imagination and your story-telling skills.

WHAT AN ENDING!! NO SPOILERS HERE! This is a refreshing story with a kick ass ending that had my heart racing. Within the pages you meet Brooke. A lovely woman from the UK in the states on holiday to see her very best friend Sam. She meets a man, Robert Stone, whom from the moment they meet have this spark, a connection unlike any other she has ever felt. Robert Stone is a gorgeous man, a dangerously handsome man. Brooke can't quite pinpoint what it is about him that makes him seem so dangerous. He is not your typical bad boy CEO that has been written about in erotica as of late. He is written as if he were or could be real. These characters are believable, relate-able, likable and enviable. Robert is mysterious, as a man and as a businessman. You don't quite know what he is about until later in the story. I like the mystery, I like the build up of it and the clues left for you the reader to put together. There is sex in this book, however, not enough to be dubbed erotica. I call this romance with a touch of suspense. The sex scenes are hot, steamy hot but it is not the focal point of the story. The connection they share while having sex IS important. If you're looking for a sex filled book this isn't it. The story is much more of importance, something I appreciate. There is a gradual progression of emotion, of growth and trust between Brooke and Robert that is written brilliantly. I enjoyed this story and am looking forward to start on Part 2 today.

5 Stars!!!

I was given this book to read in turn for an honest review!!!

Brooke Stiles heads to Washington for a much needed holiday; on her first day there she meets Robert Stone. Stone has a dark past and has never had a normal relationship before due to fear of his dark past being exposed. Not knowing how to love or show respect he is struggling with the feelings he has for a woman who is making him question who he truly is and what he feels.

Brooke and Stone's connection is instant and Mr. Stone is determined to take Brooke to dinner. Neither can deny their strong connection and Brooke wants nothing more than to help heal the dark and dangerous man in front of her. Stone's past taunts him and he struggles to open up to Brooke. Will Brooke be strong enough to handle Stone's dark past? Or will everything that they want be destroyed by his hidden past?

Brooke is an amazingly strong character; I loved her strength and her friendly nature. She was a very out going person who, if you were to meet, you would instantly like. Tracie Podger portrays Robert in such a way your heart really breaks for him. Tracie is also very good at creating tension in this book; you really didn’t know what exactly it was that was going to happen next or what secrets would be revealed. I cannot wait to read what Book #2 has in store for Brooke and Robert.

If you love suspense and drama with a HOT Romance then this book may be for you! You will not be disappointed.

Favorite Quotes:

Sam was an easy guy to get on with, once you got behind the fake drag queen in him. The campiness was an act he used to cover his shyness. He felt that if people were going to comment on his life choices, then give them something to really talk about.

My Review:

This is my first time reading Tracie Podger and am I ever glad I signed up to review the series, as shortly into this first book - I am hopelessly addicted. The story is interesting, entertaining, and unique, I found it very appealing and hard to put down. Her sensual scenes are smoking hot. This book chronicles a young British woman’s vacation, and it proved to be quite an eventful period for her. She breaks up with her boyfriend of 10 years and decides to come to the US to visit a childhood friend while licking her wounds. Fresh off the jet, she meets her friend’s boss, and the adventure begins. Over a 5 week period, she falls in love, changes her employment, makes new friends, acquires several wardrobes of designer clothes, has the best sex of her life, is kidnapped, shot at, and suffers broken bones. Wow, I wonder what the brochures would look like for that type of holiday?

I finished Robert and immediately started in on this book as I'd enjoyed Robert so much and wanted to know what happened next.

Part of me sat there doubting the speed of the relationship, but before I knew it I was drawn into the suspense element of the book and it just didn't matter anymore.

There were familiar characters from the prequel as well as some new and interesting ones. The difference this time being the book was written from the woman's POV. Normally I prefer a male POV in my books, but Brooke is a great character and I enjoyed this equally as much as the prequel.

What I did enjoy is that the story starts immediately after the prequel ends, there's no rehashing of the previous story. If you haven't read the previous book it doesn't matter as there's just enough mentioned in conversations that you would understand the story line, allowing you to read it as a stand alone if you wish.

Very enjoyable read and I've already downloaded Fallen Angel 2 so I can find out what happens next.

I loved this book. This isn't about your ceo and his bumbling girlfriend as is the norm now for this genre, this story is so much more. Yes it has your typical alpha male but a strong female too. These characters are slightly older so their life timeline felt more realistic. You do have to get some way into the book before you find out who Robert Stone is and once you do - BAM! This is a story with lots of twists and turns and is not what you think it's going to be. There is no running for the hills when things get tough, this is a couple serious about their relationship, they have some worrying times but a belief in themselves to stay put and sort it out - refreshing and realistic! Some well written sex scenes with no juvenile terminology, thank god! It's a debut novel so not without it's faults, a spelling error or two but I got so engrossed in the story, these things didn't matter to me. I look forward to part two.

I was told by a friend of mine how good this book was and she wasn't lying !!!
The intense relationship between Brooke and Robert just blew me away, the moment they met they both know they are meant to be together. Even though Roberts past may interfere with their happy even after. I loved the fact Brooke was a strong independent woman that is willing to ask questions and say no to the controlling yet vulnerable Robert Stone.
Robert has never had a relationship so seeing this solidity man change for the love of a woman was remarkable and I thoroughly enjoyed it
The ending of this book was so good I couldn't read fast enough !!!
I can't wait for more Robert and Brooke in book II

This book was absolute genius!! The suspense nearly killed me, it was intense and also, of course, it has a sexy Alpha Male to keep you (and Brooke) on our toes!!

Brooke is an English woman, on vacation in Washington, visiting her best friend of 25 years Sam.

Robert Stone is a powerful, successful businessmen, with a dark side.

I can't really seem to form words about this book it was just awesome!! If you liked 50 shades of Grey and The Hacker Series by Meredith Wild you will damn well LOVE this book!
It was was an up and down story, one to keep your face firmly planted in the book (or kindle!)

Definitely recommend this to everyone!!

I had no preconceptions going into this book, and, at first, I wasn't sure it was going to be my kind of reading...

But then BAM... I became so intrigued by Robert Stone's secret and the air of mystery around him (I DID NOT see THAT coming) that I read the book in one sitting. It was a brilliant twist that has left me needing to read the next installment.

If you like your reads hot with plenty of twists and turns then this is definitely worth a read!

I LOVED this book. I had already fallen in love with the main character Robert by the time I had read only 3%!!!!
Brooke and Robert were meant for each other and as always with relationships they are not plain sailing, as they both found out.
This story was well written, it had me on the edge of my seat and I found it difficult to put it down.
The characters were loveable and I can't wait to read more about them all.

I've heard so many good things about The Fallen Angel Series by Tracie Podger, I was glad to have finally gotten around to starting this series.
Brooke has gone to America to visit her best friend Sam. She's just come out of a long-term relationship and isn't looking for another man, she just wants to spend some quality time with her best friend.
She arrives in America and heads to Sam's work to wait for him to finish. She heads into the office kitchen to make a coffee, whilst she's waiting when she suddenly has the feeling she's being watched. Brooke soon finds out that she just encountered Robert Stone; Sam's elusive boss. The events that follow successfully turn Brooke's life upside down. There is more to Robert than meets the eye.
Brooke comes across as a nice down to earth kind of girl. She works hard and doesn't want to let people down, she also knows that something is missing. She loves Sam and his partner Scott, she feels guilty when circumstances prevent her from spending as much time with them as she'd originally wanted to.
Robert is a hard man to work out. He has so many secrets and has built some seriously high protective walls around him and his family. He likes to be in control. When Brooke comes into his world his control is tested. Robert is also very protective of those he cares about.
These two make a good team and balance each other out. The other characters are also really good and they complete the overall group dynamic well. I loved how none of the characters were flat or one-dimensional, they all have they're own layers and secrets to be discovered.
The plot is good, it has a good steady pace, it's full of twists and unexpected turns. Tracie has created a wonderfully realistic world for these fantastic characters. She feeds you all the pieces of an intricately woven web of secrets, and leaves you wanting more!
I'm glad I've finally popped my Fallen Angel cherry and I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.
Great starting point Tracie!

Omg !!

First of all I have to say this book is very deceptive to the eye .....anyone picking this up would be guilty of assuming it was a paranormal genre (I admit I made that same mistake) this couldn't be further from the truth !! This novel is a contemporary romance and wow what a romance that is !!

I absolutely LOVED this story , I've read a lot of books in the contemporary romance area but for me this was like a breath of fresh air and definitely stood out from any other books as a FAVOURITE!
Not only was the story a much needed unique one but the style of writing Tracie Podger unveiled was addictive. I found myself literally not wanting to put the book down and resented the tasks that life insists we need to get done because I just wanted the time to read right through. When I wasn't able to be reading well I was thinking of the story , the characters, the suspense, the mystery , the intrigue, the passion , prospect of where the journey would take me next.

Meet Robert Stone - not your typical bad boy more your dark, dangerous and sexily smouldering alpha male. Robert has a past a scary and frightening past, he's beautiful but damaged too. Yet when he meets Brooke Stiles he finds himself questioning his lifestyle and struggles to understand the feelings this woman can easily draw out of him.
Brooke falls fast and hard for this seductive dark man but when the threat of death looms at every corner from being with Robert, Brooke wonders if his world is just too dark for her to join.

This story has everything I could have wanted in a story - not only an epic spine tingling romance but a dash of mystery, fear and an ever evolving plot that twists just at the right moment!!

Amazing !! I wish I could give more than 5 stars !

My first question with this title was is this a paranormal? The answer is no. There is an element of, could our souls recognize each other, but for the most part this has some hot scenes, a good story and a saucy British Heroine.

This is about, you guessed it, a rich alpha suit with a past and the woman who saves him. You think you got this all figured out when you are reading, but then, bam, it’s got some twist and turns, and things you didn’t see coming! I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoying this. I like the way this story line changed and developed.

One thing the author did that bothered me though, this is told in first person but a few times remarks were made to foreshadow that didn’t flow from third person. Example was a sentence that went something like, I should have seen the look that passed between the two but I did not. Maybe I am being particular, but this happened three times and it irked me. Maybe you as a reader won’t be bothered at all by this. It could just be my taste, it just felt wrong.

Anyways, besides me being a book snob, there was a lot about this that really works for me. Brooke is our lead. She is British and tends to have an attitude that is very self-assured. I like that! I get annoyed with always reading about the helpless female that can’t stand up for herself. Brooke has brass and it was a welcome and refreshing feeling.

Overall this had some nice sexiness and a bold female that I think most would enjoy
