Cory has been following her for months. The longer this goes on, the deeper his obsession grows. Experience has taught him that catching this girl won’t be simple. She is too smart, too cunning, and too slippery for an ordinary plan to work. He’ll have to be methodical, to slowly gain her trust. Becoming a part of her life will require him to lie, to deceive, and to make promises he can’t keep. Cory thinks he knows what he’s doing. He thinks he’s in control, but it’s not until he has blood on his hands that he realizes he has gone too far.
Michele Leathers's books have climbed to the top of Amazon bestseller lists. Her novels are fast-paced and full of jaw-dropping twists that will keep readers guessing till the end. I think I’ve had enough of this series. Bellany is horrible, I can’t stand her chapters. I liked Charlotte in the first book and liked the other female leads in the others. This one was just so annoying and preventable, and Cory had so many chances to do the right thing and didn’t. I think if I read the next two in the series, it’ll personally be a waste of time for me. She’s never going to get caught.
Self-published mystery for teens and young adults who like stories about serial killers, kidnappers, murder and double-crossing characters This is book 5 in Michele Leathers's They All Had A Reason series. Bellany finds in Las Vegas as a nanny in her attempt to blackmail a millionaire for some fast money. Without reading the other books in the series, I am not sure if these are meant to be read in order or as stand-alone titles.
The 5th book in this series and we have an OMFG moment as we wonder if this is finally the last time Bellamy will evade the officials and be free. Like the previous books in this series, Bellamy has changed her name and adopted a new identity and a new career to make some money before she moves on again. What she doesn't realize though is that her past could catch up with her as Corey is the closest, he has ever been to capturing her and there's also a PI on her tail, who wants her to pay for what she did in Book #3. In Book #5 Bellamy becomes a nanny by the name of Mariana for a family who she knows won the jackpot at the casino. What happens though is that the family is on the verge of divorce as the dad Ned has run off with the old nanny Lacey. Now Bellamy has to change her plan to get her money. To pull off this con successfully, she will need a helper and that's where Corey comes into play. He was hoping to hit big with Bellamy's story so that he could save his sister Tasha who is stuck in foster care. Can both Bellamy and Corey get their wishes and start a new life or is this the end of Bellamy's life on the run? Find out in Book #5 They All Had a Plan by Michele Leathers. I am interested in reading the next book as I hope we do get to read Bellamy's real family's views if she is caught and see their reactions.
Hmmm…. I really enjoyed this series but I do think after the 3rd book that it probably should of ended. The past two books just wasn’t that appeasing to me but hey it could just be a me thing! However I would still recommend reading these just because it’s a fast series to read!
The fifth installment of Bellany's criminal activities takes us into yet another spree of Bellany mayhem. As the reader, you have to suspend the belief that surely by now Bellany would have been caught by law enforcement. After the reader does that, Michele Leathers entertains with twists and turns that are a trademark of the series.
Book 5 in the “they all had a reason” series. This time we had to Las Vegas with Bellany as she try to finesse her way into a wealthy family household in hopes of becoming rich by stealing money from the family. What she doesn’t know it that they family have their own problems. Also she meets Cory who has his on agenda when it comes to Bellany. Another great read. Highly recommended!
This time we have Mariana, she’s a nanny now but of course she has an ulterior motive, which is money as always. I liked reading from her perspective and Cory’s, the guy that has been tracking her down since book 1. He’s finally caught up to her and it’s interesting to see what he thinks and what his ideas are to essentially “con” her and catch her.
This was a very short book but still really good. I was hooked from start to finish. I couldn’t stop reading and was shocked at the revelation at the end. Cory is the type of character you don’t know how to feel about, he’s supposed to be this vigilante but ends up committing multiple crimes and doing the exact thing he said he wouldn’t??
I’m excited to see who Bellany is next and if she does anything to Cory and Tasha. And will Cory run away from Bellany? Confront her? I’m hoping I find out in the next book.
Overall, I did really like this, although it was very short. I do think it would have been even better if it was a little bit longer. I’m still excited to start the next book tho! I’m so close to finishing the series.

This book is the 5th book in the series by Michele Leathers in her series and in my opinion, it is the best book in the series. I really liked how the book focused on Bellany but also Cam the true crime podcaster. Most of the books in the series focus on Bellany but then also on characters that never come back. I liked how this book focused on both Bellany and Cam who has been in some of the other books in the series. This book I put down but then when I picked it up I flew through it. I also liked how both Bellany and Cam knew each other but both thought that the other didn't know about it, which created an interesting dynamic between the 2 characters. Of course, I also liked the short fast-paced chapters and book. Overall this was my favorite book in the series and I'm excited for the last book in the series. Overall I would recommend this series to anyone who likes short fast-paced mystery novels.
This is book 5. I liked this one a bit more, it did have a nice plot twist that I had not seen coming. Again, all plans were foiled. I am not sure what is going on with this series, the author seems to want to just crank out material and it is just subpar. This one had potential. Too many things were left unanswered and we won't know because the next book she will be someone else.
If the author wants us to connect with the protagonist, she has got to actually "finish" the book. What happened with Lacey's death? Does Cory and Tasha get caught in Mexico? What happened to Clair, Ned, and Oliver?
I am disappointed because I am investing my time in a series, and it is letting me down.
Shockingly, the pattern of bad, good, bad, good, has stopped! This one also held my attention! It was simple and slow at times, but I’m not gonna write a bad review, because it actually had a good story going. Did not see the twist behind the cowboy at the end coming. Only one complaint, and that is how the author repeats so often, “snapping me from my thoughts.” Like oh my lord, find a different way. It is used so much throughout this series that it drives me nuts! Nevertheless, I still loved it. Can’t wait for the next one!
OH MY GAWD!!! WHERE DO I EVEN START WITH HOW GOOD THIS BOOK IS?! Cam changes his name when he "meets" Mariana, (when he's been tracking her down for a few years), then starts dating her to MANIPULATE her is so smart—and adding that in the book gave it depth and complexity. I LOVE the emotional tension between Clair and Bellany as well! And Jack is every babysitters' NIGHTMARE!!! I would never finish raving about this book, but I'll stop now to not bore you. Point is, READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!
I know I said this the last time but this book is the best of the series! (So far - learnt my lesson).
I love Cory with all my heart! The chemistry he had with Bellany was amazing and I had a blast reading this book; I couldn't put it down. I feel so attached to this series now, I need to know what happens next.
Bellany finds her next mark by signing up for a nanny child. But she is not let in on all the details of this kid. She already doesn’t like kids but this one takes the cake.
Cory finally catches up with her and pretends to not to know her. He initially wanted to get closer to her so he can turn her on, but when Roy cuts him off he goes along with Bellany plans.
Corey thought they were trying to help the oldest son get the girl of his dreams, but later learned that Bellany turned on her conniving charm early.
Corey gets out smarted by Bellany because she found out who he was already, but Corey then reverse uno because he had some help to steal all the money they got from Bellany.
She once again walks away with nothing.
Corey runs away to Mexico with his sister Tasha but quickly learns that Bellany knows where he is.

I'm glad I've kept going with this series! I can't wait to see what happens next. This book kept me trying to find time to read throughout the day and night. I just had to know what was happening! I hope in the final book, we see some more characters from the past!
I’m glad the series isn’t over, but kinda sad about the ending. Also this one felt shorter, less detailed, and more rushed than the others. Maybe it’s the flip flopping between perspectives as opposed to one character doing the majority of the “talking”. I just didn’t feel as connected with the characters. Looking forward to the next one!
I have way to many questions! How does Bellany keep getting away? Do Tasha + Corey get caught in Mexico? What happened with Lacey’s death? Oliver, Clair + Ned? So many questions but definitely a page turner
Honestly, I’ve been iffy about this series but I keep reading each new installment and this one knocked it out of the park with the twists and turns in the last fifty or so pages! I can’t wait to read the next one!
I was not expecting much out of this book, because it is shorter but she has an eye for detail, and showing so much on just one page! I was not expecting the end, it kinda started pissing me off till the last page!
The name dropping of major chains becomes tiresome. So I have read 5 of these books, not because they're the thrilling and unpredictable but because they're a quick read and nice to read at bedtime. They remind me of a Lifetime movie.
This book is just as awesome as the other books in this series! It is suspenseful and a page turner. I couldn't put it down. If you haven't started this series from the beginning, you definitely need to!!
This one wasn't the best. It was full of annoying/crazy characters, Bellany included. I had thought CJ was smarter, but apparently I was wrong. Kind of annoyed by the whole thing but at least Bellany ended up penniless....again 😂
These books are great! i have gotten all my friends to read them and they love them as well. This is the 5th book in the series and each book is different while still tieing into all the ones before it. A must read series.
So much fun to listen to! Unfortunately can’t really listen around the kids, but I liked the dynamic in this book. It was a little different, but Bellanie is carried well through the books so far!
BOOK 5!! I am so glad I started this series. This book kept me wondering what would happen next, I can't wait to see what Bellany gets into next. I have enjoyed reading this series and experiencing everything Bellany is doing to the people around her. 8/10!!
