Required reading for a Master's Metadata course. Definitely an informative read that is easy to understand.

Three and a half. A great overview, but dated, now, with technology moving so quickly. There is a newer (3rd) addition. Unfortunately, the publishing of this edition was delayed almost two years, originally.

A bit complicated for a newcomer, but it provides a detailed and thorough introduction to metadata. Some of the diagrams were confusing and unhelpful for me.
