Feeling like a Spooky, Eerie Adventure as Halloween Is Approaching? This Is Your Read about Haunted Mental Health Institutions, the Merciless Places Frequented by Their Patients’ Ghosts. What you’ve seen in films about old-age mental health institutions is hardly anything but hard facts. They used to be drab, merciless, and worse than prisons.
Checking in used to be the easiest thing in the world, but don’t ask about getting out of there. Patients used to be left in their cells for days, isolated from one another, forced into electric shock therapies and ice baths, hardly ever going through real therapy or helpful medical supervision.
These tortured souls are only justified to have found no peace even after their death. In these chilling, spectral places, no soul was at peace, even under tranquilizers. Their minds were tormented, and driven to the edge of insanity.
With data drawn from influential medical journals as well as historical dossiers, the book educates about the ways and treating methods mental patients were subjected to.
The text provides the reader not only with true-story-based ghost stories, but also with historical facts about the development of the industry and medical profiles of famous patients that were mistreated.
The book is an unputdownable read for anyone looking for their next spooky adventure either in real life or on the journey of reading.
The walls of even the most normal psychiatric hospitals keep unrevealed secrets that the author has gained access to and decided to kindly share with his readers.
Most Haunted Hospitals and Asylums are holding onto scary truths to be unveiled as soon as you open the book.

With sentences repeated and some phrases used over and over it's hard to know if you're reading a book on asylums or if you should be in an asylum. This book is what happens when you use only Wikipedia as a source for your high school paper. There's made up numbers like saying 3 million died at Waverly Hills and there's absolutely no citations, foot notes, or even bibliography at the end. This author just made stuff up. There's also no ghost stories, all he says is people say this place is haunted. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because nice pictures were included. Again though there's no credit to the photographer.
