I’m used to playing the field. But specialty baker Tabitha caught my attention the first time I tasted her…frosting.
Suddenly I’m offering my services in any way I can.
Need some furniture moved? Check. Followed by rogue ducks? Check. Weird noises late at night? Check.
Except that late night when I’m on patrol and she calls for assistance, we fall into bed.
And onto the kitchen counter.
And into the shower.
Spoiler: I didn’t need help finding the soap.
Turns out that whole protect-and-serve thing apparently doesn’t extend to birth control. Oops.
But if I can convince her I’m ready to be a one-woman man, our spontaneous hookup might just lead to forever.
Author’s note: Hot cop Brady McNeil is a deputy, but his handcuffs aren’t just for show. Ooh, baby. Daddy on Duty is a standalone accidental pregnancy romantic comedy with a happily-ever-after ending and no cliffhanger.

I don't know how often I've already written it in my reviews for the previous books. This town is so crazy and its water is really magical. They mostly use protection but if fate wants them to have a baby, they will! Even if he had a vasectomy 🙈 It's no spoiler because this series always has accidental pregnancies 😉 This town doesn't only have a baby boom, it also has a dog boom and someone (or more?) who abandons puppies 🤬 What's with these people? Luckily there is always someone who finds them.
Brady and Tabitha are so perfect for each other. I'm not sure if it's love at first sight because they "know" each other for a few months but it's definitely lust at first sight. But they waited quite a bit... It needs a puppy to bring them together. Because it's a cold day and there is a power blackout. Brady is a very filthy man 😎 It's not that Tabitha doesn't have such thoughts too, but when she tries to say something 🤣 But even worse is her twin sister Van! Oh, am I excited to read her story... Brady is a perfect man. He is a wonderful dog dad 🫠 and he will be a wonderful dad too, but when someone you trust says otherwise... 😫 That's the reason for his vasectomy.
This book is so cute. So funny. And it's 🌶️ It doesn't have a lot of 🌶️, but I would say it's the 🌶️iest in this series so far 🤔 It has a bonus with an alternative (deleted) start. Just check the author's HP, it's 🆓. If I had known it's a beginning scene I would have read it first 😁
Adorable story in my favourite Small Town Steamy Romance series with low angst. Loved Tabitha and Brody, especially Brody’s devotion to her and their pets. Loved Tabitha’s bakery where all her employees become extended family. Loved, loved, loved the heartwarming cameos from favourite couples and characters from other Crescent Cove and Kensington Square stories, and it was fun revisiting familiar places around town. The Reader feels part of their small town extended family while dropping in on these community wide events. Lots of new interesting characters and romance potential that means this series will continue for a while – yea!!
I dont know about you all but I sure do love a HOT COP!! This book was an amazing read from start to finish and I could not put it down. You will laugh your butt off, scratch your head and go can that really happen, and there is also a surpise delivery. If you like all the Cove books you are going to LOVE this one!! Thank You Taryn for this Wonderful, Amazing read!!!
Plot: Tabitha and Brady are neighbors, so it's not that big of a deal when he helps her out with a lost puppy at her bakery - after all, he's a cop and helping people, especially sexy neighbors, is what he does, right? The pair decide, upon becoming sort-of co-puppy parents, to engage in a no-strings-attached relationship, which is working out great until they both start catching feelings (and something else entirely...this is Crescent Cove, after all).
Commentary: I never did understand why Tabitha was so averse to relationships. There was almost a hint of something happening in her past and then it was just "business only" with no real reason why she insisted on that. It felt a little drama for drama's sake. Brady, like most of the men in Crescent Cove, seems to catch feelings first, which is kind of cute even if I wish the men would catch feelings and then share the revelation a little sooner. His parents were hilarious though. I mean, his mom was annoying but I loved the contrast between her and the dad. This was an okay installment, though I did wish for a little more background on both characters.
These women give us it all. Laughter, tears (happy), snark, sexy times, rogue ducks, hot cop, curvy bakery owner and all of the rest of the crazy town that is Crescent Cove. If you haven’t dived into this series what are you waiting for??? You’re seriously missing out on all the fun.
I really enjoyed this new to me authors writing style. Great characters, witty banter, funny moments and a crazy small town. I especially loved how this couple didn’t have relationship drama. It was all so fluid and fun to read. Great book.
When Deputy Brody is called out to help someone and it's gorgeous Sugar Rush owner/baker Tabitha, his protective instincts can't help but takeover. He's enamored of her and the puppy she named Pancake, but Tabitha's got walls around her heart for a reason, so convincing her of his feelings and that they can be more than just puppy parents is going to take a lot of work on his part. Brody's more than up to the challenge, though, because at stake is Tabitha's heart and their soon to come baby.
I love Crescent Cove! The baby spell is alive and well in this small town, and with each couple comes more fun, more hot chemistry, and more adorable, quirky residents falling head over heels in love. Tabitha is hesitant to admit to her feelings, but she's not match for Brody's charm and his big heart. I can't wait for more of this zany, baby happy town!

3.75 stars--DADDY ON DUTY is the twelfth instalment in Taryn Quinn’s contemporary, adult CRESCENT COVE erotic, romance series focusing on the ‘baby explosion’ in the small town of Crescent Cove. This is former FBI agent turned police officer Deputy Brady McNeill , and baker owner Tabitha Monaghan’s story line. DADDY ON DUTY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Tabitha and Brady) DADDY ON DUTY follows the building romance and relationship between former FBI agent turned police officer Deputy Brady McNeill , and baker owner Tabitha Monaghan. Tabitha Monaghan didn’t know what to do when she found an abandoned puppy behind her shop but when her neighbor Deputy Brady McNeill offered his services, our couple opted to co-parent the puppy Tabitha named Pancake, a co-parenting that would lead to something more. When their time spent together became fodder for the gossips of Crescent Cove, Tabitha would become the target of a jealous ex but not before discovering the truth about Crescent Cove’s baby explosion. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Tabitha and Brady, and the potential fall-out as neither had plans for anything permanent, plans that now include so much more.
Brady McNeill moved back to Crescent Cove never expecting to settle down with anyone special but meeting his neighbor, and sharing responsibilities for a lost puppy, Brady offered up a ‘friends with benefits’ arrangement that quickly took on a life of its’ own. Tabitha Monaghan never thought she would have time for a social life having worked non-stop to keep her bakery afloat for the past two years. As her business gained momentum, Tabitha found herself the target of gossip when the rumors began to spread about her and the local ‘hot cop’.
The relationship between Tabitha and Brady begins as a friends with benefits as they share ‘custody’ of an abandoned pup. Brady has no plans to settle down, and his reputation in Crescent Cove does nothing to alleviate Tabitha’s concerns when she discovers that their friendship has quickly turned into something more.Tabitha struggled in the wake of her positive pregnancy news, news she hoped Brady would accept in the face of everything else. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to Tabitha’s twin sister Vanessa Monaghan, as well as Brady’s siblings Honey McNeill, Deputy Maverick ‘Mav’ McNeill; officer Christian Masterson. Maverick and Vanessa’s story is next in COPY DADDY NEXT DOOR.
DADDY ON DUTY is a story of family and friendships, relationships, babies and love. The fast paced premise is captivating; the romance is flirty and fun; the characters are charismatic but the ex-girlfriend was more of a red herring than anything else. There was no reason for her appearance or actions, and it did nothing to impart any major conflict or suspense- she magically disappeared without a trace
This is one quirky lot of characters in this story. They all work together to weasel into the lives of Brady and Tabitha. Two of the most adverse people to the words commitment or children. However, mention the word sex, especially the phrase “no attached sex.” Now, you are talking their language. So after seeing Tabitha coming in and out of her apartment and never saying a word, he knew she was one voluptuous woman that he would not mind seeing in his bed. But he was not ready for a relationship and didn't think he would ever be prepared for one, especially not for children.
He had also seen Tabitha at the bakery, which he knew she owned. He knew she baked specific treats for pups because she was nice enough one time to leave a bag on his doorstep. On this night it was Valentine’s Night, and he was working, and he, like a few other bachelors, did not have a date for the week-long festival. Buying candy for your beloved so she’d have sex with you later. Even if, statistically, you were more of a morning wood sort of guy. This of all places made them stand out too because this was the baby-making capital of the world.
Before he left town he had a handful. Just casual dating isn’t so casual anymore when you’re past thirty. Not true, but it felt that way to him. He had been a part of the FBI for a while, like his mom had been before she had retired, and he decided he missed his family and wanted to come home. Jared, the sheriff, is almost home and is going home to have dinner with his fiancée, Gina. So, he was going to be leaving them to their resources. No sooner had he gotten into his cruiser than he told dispatch he was available.
And a call comes in saying that with the power out, he’s needed at the bakery. “Two minutes ago, a distress call came in from Sugar Rush, the bakery on the corner of Elm and Main.” He discovered Tabitha made treats for dogs too. Better yet, she catered to a wide range of dog allergies. Her mom had a dog allergic to wheat flour, which was beneficial for me since my Daisy was allergic to half the foods in existence. When he gets to the bakery, Tabitha is shivering outside, holding a puppy to her bosom, wrapped in a scarf.
He walks her inside to hopefully get her warmed up, but it's no better inside, so he offers to take her to his place since he has a fireplace where hers does not. Therefore, she and the pups could stay warm since their complex doesn't have any electricity either. So while flirting with her and cooing over the dog she instantly bonded with, he offered to help her care for the pup, or should I say his dog, Daisy did. You see, she lost a pup, and the whimpering from this pup fed the need to mother. The chemistry between the owners and the pups is priceless. But the nosy, angsty, and gossipy town is funny and sad at the same time, showing how it can hurt and help also.
I feel like the ladies that write as Taryn Quinn (authors Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn) are a bit of a well-kept secret, which surprises me, because they are two of the most prolific writers of romance around, and have been doing what they do, and well, for a long time. Both the books that they have written individually and those that they craft together are some of my favorites by far, and I think that more lovers of contemporary romance should get their eyes on their words.
The ladies have done it again with DADDY ON DUTY, their most recent book in my ever-favorite Crescent Cove series. To be fair, I am never ever going to have anything bad to say about this series, because I absolutely love every single book, and this one is no different.
Everyone loves a reformed player, right? Brady McNeill, hot cop in a town of hot cops, is just that. He's not one for relationships because, well, who wants a broken heart? But life, and the Cove, have a way of changing things, as any citizen of this charming little town in upstate New York well knows.
Tabitha Monoghan has a plan, and a relationship with strings, LOTS of strings, isn't part of it. But, again, Fate and the Cove have other plans...if you know, you know...
I love the Crescent Cove books, and one of my most favorite things is the inhabitants of the town, quirks, shenanigans, and all. Every character that Taryn and Cari write is unique, charming, and guaranteed to join my list of favorites, every single time. Tabitha is strong, self-motivated, and extremely driven, which is nice to see in the heroine of a romance novel. She knows what she wants, she isn't afraid to work hard to get it, and she owns her needs as a woman unashamedly. She's actually the perfect foil for Brady, the one to show him that even strong women need a soft place to land when things get hard. One of the reasons that I like Brady so much is that he' happily steps right in to be Tabitha's soft place, surprising himself and everyone that knows him.
The ladies make sure that this latest trip to the Cove feels like coming home, making sure that we readers get our fix of friends old and new, and do their usual awesome job of setting the stage for the next book, featuring Brady's brother, Maverick, and Tab's sister, Van. Talk about sparks, that one's going to be a doozy...in the meantime, walk, run, one-click the heck out of DADDY ON DUTY, and any of the other Crescent Cove books that you may have missed. You're about to fall in love... ❤️
Crescent Cove is a magical place where babies are made on the regular and love is found even when you aren’t looking for it. Nestled in upstate New York, you find the snowy winters lovely and the warm summers passionate.
We get to Brady, a deputy in the Crescent Cove Sheriff’s Department and Tabitha, owner of Sugar Rush Bakery. You wouldn’t think that these two are looking for love because truthfully they aren’t, but in each other they find fire, passion, wit and companionship. There is an undeniable chemistry that draws you to them and though they fight their attraction, you know that they want to be with each other.
I loved everything about this tale, I laughed out loud at how much they fought with each other. Tabitha was witty in a way that was endearing. She would blurt out all the things that came to her mind and it made for entertaining dialogue. Brady was a little bit of a wildcard; he didn’t want to ‘catch’ feeling and yet I think he did before Tabitha.
Taryn Quinn keeps bringing us back to Crescent Cove and though you know the love and babies will be there, there is a brilliance to it each and every time that is different. I want to visit Crescent Cove. I want to be friends with the people of Crescent Cove and I want to eat at the shops. I want to be part of the gossip and the world that they create.
That tells me that this is a series to love. If I can time and time again come back and fall in love with the characters these ladies create. Read this Crescent Cove story. You will love it, just like me!
This may be the 12th installment in this series but it can be read as a standalone, although I do recommend reading the other books because they are just great reads! In this one we get Tabitha and Brady's story! Tabitha owns the bakery Sugar Rush and isn't looking for love or even a good time really. She doesn't feel like she can flirt and everything that comes into her head just pops out of her mouth. Brady has been single and just looking for a good time for a long time. He doesn't do anything more than a night or two, not since his ex and the things she said. But he can't stay away from Tabitha. And when one thing leads to another and now there is a baby involved? He has to make Tabitha understand that he wants her for the long haul, not just for a good time.
I really liked this story! I was honestly surprised that I liked Brady as much as I did, he came across kinda like a jerk to me at first. So I was iffy about him. But I should have known better with these author's! They always make me love their characters, even when they are being massive jerks! These two have off the charts chemistry, but beyond that-they truly get each other and the things that make them tick. There is cuteness in there as well with Pancake (love the name btw!!) and how Brady helps to take care of him. I loved seeing previous characters and a certain woman giving birth, but I also loved seeing Brady's family! I wouldn't mind getting their stories as well! It's always fun getting sucked into this world, and this book was no exception!
I highly enjoyed this recent trip back to Crescent Cove! Just when you think this town, famous for baby making, that the magic was in the water everyone was drinking, it has gone even farther even reversing vasectomies!!!! Tabitha is an awesome character as she owns the local bake shop. She has no life as she is up even before the birds to get her goods baking. Plus long long hours and constant demands for orders. Her fraternal twin Van helps her manage the bakery thank goodness as she is so overworked. Then during Valentine's Day she loses her power and finds a puppy in her dumpster. She calls the Crescent Cove Police Department for help as she hopes a certain deputy will show up to help her. Brody used to live right outside of Crescent Cove, but moved into an apartment in town to be closer to his job. He has been told before by his ex that he will NEVER be father or husband material. So he had a vasectomy and has just had casual sex ever since. But he really has the hots for his neighbor who lives in the apartment across from him, he just needs an opportunity to really get to know her. This book is loaded with all things that will give you a smile including a puppy named Pancake, the evil ducks are back, babies and toddlers everywhere, and constant laughs supplied by Taryn and Cari. Oh plus you can't forget all the good stuff like amazing sex chemistry Tabitha and Brody have. Excellent read!!!
Taryn Quinn's latest release, Daddy on Duty is a wonderful addition to their Crescent Cove series. This story is funny, sexy and all sorts of fun! It's a complete standalone but long-time readers will love catching up with former favorites from previous books. If you are just starting out, I promise you'll fall in love with all of the characters and want to go back and read the previous books immediately!
I adored Tabitha. She's a successful business owner, sweet as pie and just a little bit quirky. Her sexy, hot cop neighbor Brady is pretty hard to resist. These two can't stay away from each other and they burn up the pages with every sexy scene. I loved how their relationship developed easily even when they didn't realize that they were in a relationship. They have a ton of chemistry and two adorable dogs that will have you saying "awwwww". As with every couple in "the cove", an unexpected pregnancy throws a wrench into their relationship. But these two are in it for the long haul and after a few ups and downs, they find their happily ever after.
As always, Quinn's writing is excellent. This duo gives readers the perfect story for these two fun characters. It'll make you laugh out loud, chuckle and everything in between. You'll be rooting for Tabitha and Brady every step of the way in this delightful read. 5 stars
I loved Tabitha and Brody’s story. It is sweet swoony low angst perfection. This is book 12 in the Crescent Cove series. Despite the fact that all the books in this series are about (accidental) pregnancies, I love that the books are still primarily focused on the couple and the baby is simply the whip cream on the love sundae. Brody is a deputy in small town Crescent Cove. He does not feel he’s cut out for marriage and babies. In fact, to avoid the Cove’s baby reputation, he’s proactively gotten a vasectomy. Tabitha recently opened a bakery in the town and as a new business owner she’s focused solely on that. The two neighbors with no time or inclination for a relationship nevertheless are thrust into one when fate steps in to help. On Valentines Day, an abandoned puppy that they rescue thrusts them together as they share puppy duties. The two of them dance toward their HEA one swoony moment at a time and an accidental pregnancy in the midst of a casual fling is the final happy accident to convince them of forever. This book is chock full of happy energy, sweet moments, explosive chemistry, snort worthy laughs, yummy baked goods, cute dogs, and quirky characters. I love visiting this quirky fertile town one couple at a time.
There is nothing more enjoyable than a trip back to the fictional world of Crescent Cove and I am so glad that Daddy on Duty has arrived! If you haven't read any of Taryn Quinn's crazy fictional town's books I really recommend checking them out because even though every story stands alone there are so many inter-connected characters that you are going to want to meet them all in their own story. Tabitha is new to the Cove as an owner of the bakery. She is a single busy gal and she may be a bit lonely this Valentine's day but she has a plan for her business and doesn't have time for a guy and definitely not a baby in this crazy town. Brady has been on the town's police force for a little while. He is also busy in his career and doesn't have time for a relationship either but is feeling a little left out this Valentine's day. When he gets called to help Tab with an abandoned puppy in her dumpster one thing leads to another and Bam! Crescent Cove has cast it's Cupid arrow into both of these two naysayers! Daddy on Duty was light, funny, sweet, silly, hot and heavy all wrapped into one great story. As with all of the books in the series it was told from dual POV and was utterly delicious.
Brady is a policeman on Crescent Cove’s police force after leaving the FBI and missing his hometown Turnbull. He had himself fixed the year before so he would have no children. He has a reputation of a player but it has been months since he has seen anyone. He has a huge crush on the town’s baker, Tabitha, who is also his next-door neighbor. Tabitha is shy and cannot flirt to save her life. She has a fraternal twin sister, Van. She opened her bakery almost two years ago and plans on making it a huge success. There is no room for romance, a man, or babies~ Valentine’s Day finds the tow without power and a small snowstorm. Tabitha finds a puppy in the dumpster next to her bakery and calls the police; which happens to be Brady. After he meets up with her, they decide to huddle up after his shift in front of a fire and his dog and her rescue pup after his shift. When they finally come together, lightning strikes once again~ It is funny the reputation they start around town. This book is just as hilarious as the others in this series! Guess what? Another miracle occurs…Tabitha is pregnant! This is another funny romance in Crescent Cove’s series~
I have to admit the Crescent Cove series is a favorite of mine. That said Daddy on Duty is another really good book in a series full of good books. Reading these books is like taking a trip back home, catching up with dear family and friends. Always good for a laugh and a good time!! Brady and Tabitha meet during a power outage. He is the local cop, she is the owner and head baker at the new bakery in town, Sugar Rush. Tabitha has just found an abandoned puppy in the dumpster outside the bakery and with the power outage calls the police for help. Brady arrives and of course helps the girl and the abandoned pup and the sparks start to fly!! (Turns out they live across the hall from one another, which makes puppy sitting and other activities very easy, wink wink!!) This being Crescent Cove you know where this is heading. Its a fun, light hearted, laugh out loud read and I highly recommend it!!! I received a copy of this book as a winner of the authors Wenchmas 2022 contest..
Daddy on Duty by Taryn Quinn takes place in Crescent Cove, where the water must cause the many unexpectant pregnancies. This story is about a work-acholic pastry chef Tabitha, trying to get her new business afloat, and Brody, a hot, single, next-door neighbor cop who is romantic-phobic. Then finding a stray puppy after lights go out at the bakery to the lousy weather triggers Tabitha and Brody to engage in outrageous flirting. This flirting ultimately leads to them getting hot in front of Brody’s fireplace. But an unexpected baby when a vasectomy was done? Hmmm! Crescent Cove is overrun with children and pregnant women. Lots of sexy times take place in Crescent Cove. Seeing two characters fall in love despite the odds against them, including gossip from the town’s busybodies, a deranged ex, and lots of work drama, makes for a great book! Taryn Quinn is a Steller writer that always produces “must-read” stories.
Great new book in the Crescent Cove series! Tabitha and Brady are fun. I love how their relationship starts with a puppy, what's not to love. Pancake and Daisy are such great additions to this book. There is lots of snark, laughs and sexy times in the book. Lots of moments where you just want to melt and sigh... I have to say, Tabitha and Brady's family, oh my goodness, they just add so much laughter to the story. Van had me laughing out loud. It a great story with lots of supporting chameos of characters from other Crescent Cove books. It's really great how they are all intertwined and keep coming back book after book. It makes it feel like one long story that will never end. Which I love!!! I have to say, after the baby explosion in Crescent Cove, I don't think I'd be hooking up with anyone...lol. Another awesome addition to a fun serious compliments of Tarryn Quinn. Keep them coming!!

Ducks and puppies and toddlers and babies!! Oh my!! I adore this series and all that it entails! I love how Taryn Quinn spins each one so they are all their own unique stories. I adored Brady in previous books and his “not gonna affect me” attitude. Well since he got his own book and if you read the title, you know he got caught in the fever affecting this town too. I adore how uncool he is around Tabitha and the conversations they get into. But when they just let things flow, it is hotter than an oven to bake her famous treats. Tabitha is so adorable in her awkwardness. She knows this about herself and still her words don’t flow as she would want. Until the night the lights went out. That’s how it really starts for them even though they really don’t spend that much time in the same space that first night. But the time they do spend shows what kind of people they are and how they treat those in their lives. Such a spectacular book!
It seems Crescent Cove is steaming up again. This time we are being charmed by Brady McNeill, former FBI agent turned Crescent Cove Deputy, and Tabitha Monaghan, owner of the bakery Sweet Rush.
Seems these two were destined to meet up as they were neighbors in the same apartment building. But it took finding a stray puppy on Valentine’s Day to kick this romance into high gear.
Right from the beginning these two jumped in with two feet, sharing their apartments, dogs and a lot of steam. It’s a good think they were both on the same page, casual and no forevers, and definitely no babies. But this is Crescent Cove, where even a man with a vasectomy can still find a way to knock up his casual fling.
This book is full of feels and naughty. It will immerse you back in the town of Crescent Cove with all your old friends and a whole crop of new ones. If you love the Crescent Cove series, you will surely love this one as well!
Brady is a cop in Crescent Cove (aka baby making capital of the world). Tabitha is an owner of a bakery that's still new in town. Valentine's night, there's a big snowstorm and Tabitha finds a dog near the dumpsters. She takes it into her bakery and calls the police for help. This is where Brady, who's also Tabitha's neighbor, comes to help her. Tabitha immediately names the dog, Pancakes and wants to adopt it. Brady wants to help Tabitha and takes Pancakes to the town vet to check him out.
Before you know it, these neighbors decide to co-parent the dogs and have become steamy quite fast. Neither one of them wants a relationship, commitment or anything that will tie them down. But they have unprotected sex because Brady had a vasectomy and is safe. But this is Crescent Cove, so is he really safe.
This is a great addition to the Crescent Cove series. A whole lot of steam going on!
Overall I enjoyed the story, it's only a 4/5 because it's good but there are a few things I didn't care for but they were important for the story so I'll forgive them. I liked the relationship that eventually spawned between Tabitha and Brady. I really, really loved the dogs, Daisy is a big sweetheart and that Brady has a home-phone just for her is so so cute. Pancake is adorable and I can't wait to see just how big he'll get.
I admire that Brady can acknowledge that he'd put up a wall between himself and most of his family and decide that he wanted to change that. reaching out to family again after so long isolating yourself can be difficult.
I love Honey and Mic and Van so much, they just brighten any page they're on. I look forward to their stories, especially with how much of a troublemaker Van in particular can be.
This story had me chuckling many, many times—especially stuff from Brady’s POV. Tabitha and Brady are just kismet. They are comfortable together from the first real interactions. Just about everything about the other attracts them. It was pretty ugly of Brady’s ex to say certain things that really affected his decisions. Add to that the crazy one-nighter that rears up again and it’s not surprising he acts certain ways. I really like when Tabitha acknowledges what she is doing herself and decides to go with what she experiences, not his exes and gossips. Sure things did not happen as intended, but they get happy pretty quickly after some brief nastiness. I can hardly wait for the next story after seeing who it is at the end of the book!
Daddy on Duty is the story of Hot Cop and Strawberry. It is a standalone book with an HEA ending.
He's, well, a hot cop, and she's the owner of the Sugar Rush bakery. When Tabitha finds an abandoned puppy in her dumpster, she calls the police for help. WheN Brady arrives to help with the puppy, the stirrings of romance start to swirl around them. They alrealdy live in the same building, but the puppy brought them together.
And WOW. Together sure is steamy! Neither one is looking for a "serious" relationship -- they're just having some fun. LOTS of fun (but not on the tables in the bakery, thank-you-very-much).
In Crescent Cove, you know what sex leads to...
Taryn and Cari have another Crescent Cove winner with this book!
Where else accept in Crescent Cove would a vasectomy fail? Flirting apartment neighbors Tabitha and Brady discover that it is probably not a good idea to claim, "don't worry. I got snipped." After getting hot & heavy together without protection. (Not on Valentine's day in Crescent Cove, at least.) Aspens of the series don't know, babies seem to be epidemic in this little town.
The pair have to navigate the change in their plans for each other and confront that they want more than a neighbors with benefits arrangement. How will make the first move?
This is a nice story, but I deduct a star because there's a couple of plot lines that are not resolved periods
