well the promo phrase says it all 🤭 Giana is such a bratty, dramatic crybaby and I didn't like her much.

I didn't like Alessio much either 😒 I just don't like it when the feeling of attraction is one-sided for more than 50% of the book. It made Giana seem well... delulu 😔 also, I'm greatly biased towards he falls first trope. The smut was really good though 🤌🏽

I fear everyone was right about this one… and honestly, they didn’t warn me enough 😭.

This was genuinely painful to get through because both main characters irritated me beyond belief. Every chapter had me wondering why I was still reading. At some point I just wanted to lock them in a room together and never hear from either of them again.

Alessio absolutely worked my last nerve. Every other chapter he would do something completely awful, then somehow act surprised when Giana got upset. Like… sir, what reaction were you expecting?? The lack of self-awareness was actually impressive.

And Giana wasn’t much better. I went into this expecting a badass FMC, but instead she just came across as exhausting. She’d spend one page saying she never wanted to see him again, and the next she’d be worried about him like nothing had happened. Girl, PLEASE stand up 😭.

The entire relationship followed the exact same cycle:

✨ Alessio does something terrible.
✨ Giana gets mad.
✨ She forgives him five minutes later.
✨ Repeat… for the entire book.

After the third or fourth time, I was completely over it. There was no growth, no real payoff, just the same argument on a loop until the book ended.

And the plot? I’ve read this exact storyline so many times before, except other books usually manage to make it interesting. This one brought absolutely nothing new to the table.

By the end, I wasn’t even convinced they were together. I’m genuinely not joking when I say they were so inconsistent that I finished the book wondering if they even liked each other.

This was frustrating, repetitive, and one of the easiest one-star ratings I’ve given in a while. 😭

Damn!! It took me so long to finish this book... 😭 Partly because I completely lost interest in the middle.
The beginning was actually pretty good and had me hooked, but the middle dragged a lot. Thankfully, the last few chapters picked up again and were much more engaging.

ALESSIO

This man kept pissing me off. 😭
He spent most of the book pushing Giana away, and the other woman drama was just too much to bear. (Which I absolutely hate, by the way. 🫠)

That being said, he could be really sweet when he wanted to be. But the rest of the time, he was just unnecessarily rude, and it got frustrating after a while.

GIANA

I really enjoyed reading Giana's character.

It was refreshing to read a bitchy, bratty, and mean FMC. Though I genuinely felt bad for her at times because of everything she had to go through.

One thing I absolutely loved was how she always put people in their place especially Greta. Those moments were so satisfying to read.


Overall, this wasn't a bad book, but it wasn't a memorable one either.

I enjoyed some parts, but the dragged-out middle and the unnecessary OW drama stopped me from loving it.

Honestly... I think I would've been better off skipping this one and going straight to Runaway.

Worst MMC of the series for me. Both the leads were insufferable at many points. I had to drop towards the end when he kissed the ow literally the next day after taking fmc's virginity. (he's a manwhore ofc🤦🏻‍♀️)

ain't no way I'm taking this bs just because he wanted to protect FMC(she didn't even know that if I remember, no communication). and he couldn't even do that. because FMC ran out of the house (after him kissing ow) and then got kidnapped and went missing for many HOURS!! while MMC went out on a trip with ow (just for the facade). yeah he couldn't even keep a check on his girl whom he's protecting lmao. didn't even check his phone to message her. didn't realise she's not at their home anymore.

safety- ow drama for the whole book. i think he had slept with this one manyyy times before. don't remember correctly now.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! I love Bazookah for writing this, this book literally let me see that reading can be fun🩷🩷💋💋. I love Gianna in the beginning of the book she was a little cringe, but she became such a good character. Oohhh and Alessio MY MANNNN I love him so much. In the comments of Wattpad there were so much people that don’t like him but I like him and I wish he was real. I love him more then Nico, I did not read Getaway so I can’t say things about that story BUT I KNOW THAT IT IS GOING TO BE FUN TO READ🩷💋💋!!

This is a wattpad book. It had a good mafia storyline but I got bored. The writing was repetitive and sometimes too long going into detail about random things. Things about the characters were inconsistent but for a wattpad book I still enjoyed it. When I got halfway thought I did only read the dialogue on some chapters. Would I recommend probably not

i didn't hate the characters as much as others did. they weren't even that bad, in my opinion.I actually like gianna a lot. Some found her irritating, but i thought she had a very real personality, and her character was very unique. i just think it was the characters' relationship that threw me off. They were nice towards the end when they finally began understanding each other and had cute moments here and there. the way, in one chapter, they liked each other, then in the next they would argue, and the whole back and forth was the reason why i didn't enjoy it as much.

(2.6/5 stars) alr so let me just start off by saying i was pushing through this book just so i can get to runaway and see what the hype is about. i would see ppl saying they loved hideaway and how it gets better as you continue reading but it genuinely never got better for me until the ending and that perverted teacher got shot. giana and alessio would honestly pmo more then i wanted them to. she would be a baddie and a diva sometimes but then MOST of the time she just gave me 2nd hand embarrassment. she would do unnecessary bs and always at the end of the day run back to him even after she said she wouldn't and he broke her heart. she was also so head over heels for him for the majority of the book which i also didn't like. bazookah also clarified in some of her chapters that there is a MAJOR character development which i honestly saw a little however i think thats why i didn't like it as much. i hated the fact it took her so long to realize that he was honestly not good for her and then when she finally realized that, he fell for her.. the scene where she realized that alessio brought her to his home because she was sold to him was such a plot twist that i didn't expect. i honestly think it was so random but also so fast paced. like she had an immediate crash out which is fine and expected but then she just didn't forgive or talk to him for a chapter or two and then they went back to normal.. the age gap was also not doing it for me but i just reminded myself to forget about that and think they are around the same age. anyways i feel like ive hated more on this book then said some stuff i actually like abt it so let me talk abt that 😭. bazookah said that there would be character development and i definitely feel like there was some. by the end of the book giana didn't need alessio to take care of her and she finally became more independent which i love even tho it took a while. the background stories of the characters and their parents was so sad but also interesting. i feel like one big reason i liked this book was genuinely because of the author. i love her writing style and i feel like she genuinely did her big one on runaway. i love when authors write things that just makes you reread the line multiple times and i feel like she definitely does this in her books.

Kitabın bu kadar kötü olucağını düşünmemiştim. Allahtan bölümler kısa ve bir şekil kendini okutuyor. Eski watty'nin bir an geri döndüğünü düşündüm. Herkesin neden ilk kitabı atlamayı tavsiye ettiğini şimdi anlıyorum. Karakterler arasındaki ilişki o kadar toksik ki bir şeylere vurma isteği uyandırdı. Ayrıca kızın yaşı küçük ve ergen ne yaptığını ne istediğini bilmiyor kesinlikle.Ayrıca Alessio'nun 28 yaşında olup ondan daha velet olması da ayrı bir konu. Genel olarak ikisiyle de bağ kurmakta zorlandım. İlk kitabı sırf bir şey kaçırmayayım diye okudum. Özellikle üçüncü kitap için çok heyecanlıyım.
