We start the next installment of Charlie Diamond in the courtroom as new charges are added to her case. She doesn't even blink. She's on a journey and she knows she has to see it through to the end. What will this mean? Will she now regret the choices she's made, or will she stand firm? You'll have to come along in this newest installment in the Twelve Horizons of Charlie to find out.
This book begins with a vacation in The Caribbean, but then it takes a twist and brings Charlie back home. This time someone follows her there. Who will it be? You’ll have to dive back into the story to find out. Is this person her forever husband, or is he someone she’ll walk away from again? Nothing in Charlie’s life is black and white, and it won’t be in this story either.
Continue the journey of Charlie and Stephy and an adventure that keeps us guessing as to what’s going to happen next.
Charlie Diamond was raised by incredible parents in Prairie Town, Oregon where everyone knows their neighbors and a kid can’t get away with anything. To top that off, her father is the small town’s preacher, making her nearly untouchable. But that doesn’t stop one boy from crossing the line in the sand her father has drawn.
Bentley Lawrence III has also been born and raised in Prairie Town as well. As a matter of fact, he’s from four generations back, and his family owns a huge ranch and logging land that employs most of the town.
Bentley’s twin sister, Stephanie Lawrence is best friends with Charlie, and somewhere between kindergarten and high school Bentley has fallen madly in love with Charlie. Sometimes, though, love just isn’t enough, not when unbearable tragedy hits when that seems an insufferable possibility.
When Charlie’s world falls out from beneath her, a deathbed promise, and a loving best friend, sends Charlie on a whirlwind to find herself and live the dreams she promised Bentley she’d live.
Come join Charlie as she races around the world to live the dreams of her, Bentley, and Stephanie as she becomes a new person with each new location she comes to until she finds whom she was always meant to be.

Oh my Lordy! This is the first book I have had to stop while reading. Today, unfortunately was a migraine day. Pain meds and sleep must happen to function. So while I started this book over 6 hrs ago, I had to stop before getting much further than Charlie and Colby's meeting. But, having woken, in time for bed and meds, lol, I couldn't go to sleep without finishing Charlie's story as Charlie Opal! So, to make brief, pain still exists, it simply couldn't stop me. So while I can still see through my migraine, the tears make it difficult! This was one of the more moving parts of Charlie's life! There was so much change in two people, Charlie and Colby, and yet Charlie's story goes on.... Okay, before I can no longer see, or keep eyes open, allow me to say again, Ms.Anne this is the most amazing, compelling, emotional, moving writing I have ever read by you, let alone someone else. You're ruining me, I want so much much more, and I want now, it's very much salted Carmels to me... There simply is not enough, and this cannot be the end, for now, already!
Serpentine.... hmmmmmmmm Sooooooooo ...., (keeping the spirit of things ) NEXT ... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome story continues for Charlie. On another adventure to tell all on the witness stand. Her life spread out for the Jury and the judge to hear all of her exciting happenings throughout the year since Bentley passed away. He made her promise to live her life to the fullness. Her next adventure was to go to Texas and marry Colby for one year. It started as Colby had to be married to have this huge ranch. So they find happiness for a whole year, being married to each other. Like all the men before Colby she needs to leave again. She doesn't really understand what she is feeling about him, but he is in love with Charlie. The chemistry between these two are off the charts. Can't wait to read the next book in this series! I hope Charlie finds what she is looking for this time! ENJOY
I must say, I have a theory! Thinking who might be her love interest. I believe that Charlie found a little of herself in this story. Being with Colby was close to home and possible gave her a feeling what it might of been. But this mystery man? Who can he be? Can’t wait to hear her next adventure. I feel sorry for Mr. Hart he really doesn’t know who he’s up against.
I simply cannot get enough of this series! Each one brings you different emotions, and this one by far is the best one so far! Continue to experience the journey Charlie takes us on, as she tries to find herself. This one will have you begging for more, and you'll laugh and cry as you experience Charlie's emotions! 5 stars for this one! Don't miss out on this series!
This book keeps getting better on each episode. This one was the most emotional for me, I ended up crying several times. The ending was a shocker and I can’t wait for the next book. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.
I am loving this series ! Charlie and Stephy are the stuff of dreams , as besties/sisters ! I'm enjoying the characters , especially Hart , the building of of Charlie's life . Hart made a big mistake saying that in front of Cash ! Bring on Serpentine !!
Wow. I am intrigued and ready for the next book in the series. I want to know who the mystery man is. I know there's so many more books to go, so I know there will be more twists and turns. Hurry up, already!!!
This is a wonderful story that pulls at your heartstrings and make you relive events from the past. At least it has to me. I have laughed, cried, and yelled at a character or two. Can’t wait for the next one.
I’m not sure what has happened with this series. This is supposed to be the Opal story but it is Sapphire and Jade. I love this series and enjoy reading Melody Anne’s books.
This series started good, but now it’s becoming tiresome to read. How much grieving does one person need? I’m finding it a bit ridiculous. Twelve books with the same sad story is a bit much.
I have always been a fan of yours but these books are the absolute best I have read of yours. I've cried and laughed and just let myself feel the emotion Charlie that she feels. I can't wait to finish the last book. Thank you. R Williams
I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to find out what happen next in Charlie life. My hear went out to her when she lost the baby. I am hoping in the end she end up with Colby.
This is the most amazing and entertaining series I’ve read in a long time. Keeps you on the edge of your chair! Love it and keep a box of tissues near by.
Oh my I thought we were getting our happy ever after, but no not yet it seems, poor Colby, he was the best thing to happen to Charlie, lets hope this gets sorted.
