Luca Tieri
2 booksLuca Tieri is an Italian illustrator and comic book artist based in Tokyo. He is known for his peculiar art style mixing pop-art influences, bright neon colours and cyberpunk aesthetics.
Tieri was born in Torre del Greco, a city in the province of Naples, Italy in 1978. He started his art career in Italy, collaborating with a number of magazines. His first art book the art of Luca Tieri was released in the United States in 2006.
Around 2010 Tieri moved to Japan and has been active within the Japanese illustration industry ever since, doing work for advertising, music records artwork and other commercial projects.
In 2021, Tieri published his first long format comic, the sci-fi graphic novel Vecta.
