Clara Barnes wants a baby, and I’m going to give her one.
I wanted Clara the first time I saw her, but as soon as I figured out she was the local vet and would be working on my ranch, I knew I had to let her go. I put myself in the friend-zone until the night she told me she wanted to get knocked up.
There wasn’t a chance I’d let another guy get her pregnant, even if he was an anonymous donor. Not when she had me, Maverick Wilde—grade A certified Montana cowboy—right in front of her.
The arrangement was perfect. I make my donation, she gets her baby, we go back to being friends. No strings. No messy heartbreak.
Except everything changes when we decide it’ll be a lot more fun to make a direct deposit and do things the old fashioned way. That spark between us? Now it’s a blazing fire I have no desire to extinguish.
Our baby proposition just got a lot more complicated.
USA Today bestselling author Kim Loraine was raised a Navy brat but spent most of her life growing up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. A proper Washingtonian, she's addicted to coffee, doesn't let a little rain ruin her day, and thinks the sun is a gift from God. When not chasing her three little minions around, Kim spends her time writing, reading, and binge watching Doctor Who.
This cover is definitely a vibe and most assuredly sold The Baby Proposition to me. My own assumptions regarding the kind of story this type of cover offers sadly didn't help me find any excuse for the lack of substance here.
To put it plainly, I didn't expect much depth to the story going in, merely some light and sexy fun and this book can't even claim to deliver either. Everything was too surface: the setting, the characterization or lack there of, the half-hassed plotting to the main event, the expeditive pacing, the random attempts at character's back story and side plot that lead nowhere. The whole thing was blatantly wobbly.
But more than this, the absolute dearth of chemistry between the love interests killed it for me. I could have done without the aforementioned for the sake of some good sex scenes but not luck in that department either. Not even the many "darlin'" from Maverick could save it for me and I'm usually weak at the knees for a cowboy dropping the Gs.
I've enjoyed a few Kim Loraine previously, this was sadly nothing like I've had the pleasure to read from her before.

Style: Friends to Lovers Romance Story: 3.5/5 Enjoyment: 3.5/5 Dark Level: 0/5 Sexual Level: GOOD Triggers: No Violence: No Male: Sexy & Jealous Series: Book 1 Pages: loc.3089 Audio: N/A Kindle Unlimited: Yes
STORY: WHAT I LIKED: I liked the chemistry and friendship between Maverick and Clara. It was cute and a little sexy as well. Maverick was adorable with his friendly flirty ways but added jealousy to the mix and it added to his appeal, because he really liked Clara. Clara put up a good front with not showing her emotions and attraction to Maverick. I liked her attitude and independent mentally. This was a nice quick friends to lovers read.
WHAT WAS SO SO: The story started out ok and that’s probably a me thing. I rarely read friends to lovers as it depends on the type of friendship the characters have. After their first sexual encounter, Maverick gave me stage 5 clinger but not in a bad way, I was just surprised that he confess a lot so quickly.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY I enjoyed the sex scenes. They definitely got better as the story went on. I very much enjoyed the scene of Maverick missing the cup to deposit you know what.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS: So I am not familiar with the author, but, I believe that there are characters from pervious books. That caught my interest and made me interested in reading their stories. I also enjoyed Maverick’s brothers, Luke, Sutton and Killian (hot mess this one haha).
OVERALL: Was I entertained? Yes. Did I like the story? Yes. Would I read the other books in the series? Yes. Sidebar, I did like that small preview in the book of the next book in the series, Big Deck Energy. It definitely sparked my interest.
TRIGGERS:
****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.
I am such a sucker for a friends to lovers romance and The Baby Proposition is all that! Clara and Maverick have been friends and co-workers for years. Clara is the deeply respected town vet and Maverick is our handsome rancher. They have danced around one another for years but when Clara decides that her biological clock is ticking, she knows that it is time to take action. Deciding that since she can't find love, she will take on the task of mother on her own. Maverick has held a torch for the lovely vet for years so when he finds out she is about to embark on this new adventure on her own he has quite the crazy idea. This couple is sweet, romantic, funny and when they finally find their groove oh, they certainly get the sizzle on! ~~Michele McMullen ~~
The Baby Proposition is such a fun, fabulous, heartwarming story! Clara and Maverick own my whole heart. Nobody writes swoony, sexy cowboys quite like Kim Loraine does and let me tell you Maverick is one book boyfriend you don’t want to miss out on! Clara and Mav have been friends for two years. They work on the ranch together and attend many social functions together. Their attraction and chemistry is strong but neither wanted to tempt their good friendship, and working relationship. Until one night Clara reveals to Mav her want to have a baby and he volunteers for the position as baby daddy and everything changes. Clara is soon approaching 40 and feels her biological clock is ticking. She had planned to go through a donor to become pregnant but now with Mav’s offer things are about to change for both of them. I adored this couple. I loved Mav’s determination to get Clara to see her worthiness. He is charming, protective and oh does this man knows how to slay to dirty talk! Clara is the perfect mix of sassy and sweet and the two have the most explosive chemistry together! As it is bound to happen, their relationship quickly turns into much more than a baby making project, and emotions and feelings get a little more complicated than they imagined but so worth it.
JF Harding and Stella Hunter perform this audiobook in duet style narration and what a treat it was! JF’s performance blew me away. His voice is deliciously sexy, swoony and sweet. His many whispered terms of endearments got me every time and that combined with the most perfect southern accent was fantastic! I adore every book narrated by Stella Hunter but this performance as Clara is one of her best! She delivers on the emotions, passion and vulnerabilities her character faces flawlessly. Highly recommend the audiobook! Such a fabulous listening experience.
*ALC received from Audibly Addicted in exchange for my honest review. *
Kim Loraine might have outdone herself with The Baby Proposition!! Baby, let me tell you Maverick Wilde is going to make you swoon from the very first "baby" he utters.
It isn't often that I have a theme song for a book but for this book it is 100% Shania Twain, Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under. Do yourself the favor of listening to it if you don't know it.
Clara Barnes is nearing forty and wanting a baby. She has given up the notion of finding a man to have a baby with, so her next step is to find a reasonable donor for her to make her dreams come true. That is until her best friend Maverick offers to give her the baby she has always wanted and every plan she had for life veers off course.
Maverick Wilde is not the settling down kind of man. He knows this about himself but when he finds out his best friend Clara is wanting a baby the thought of anyone but him making her dreams come true leaves a sour taste in his mouth. He does the next best thing in his mind and offers to be her "baby daddy" because even though he has wanted Clara for years there is no way that he could be what she needs, what she deserves.
As Maverick and Clara embark on the journey of giving her a baby something snaps inside Maverick, and he doesn't just want to give her a baby he wants to give her a home and a family. Can he convince Clara that what they have is more than just passion?
Stella Hunter and J.F. Harding might be one of my favorite narrating pairings, EVER!! Stella Hunter has been my favorite female narrator this year so of course I was positively swooning over her as sassy country Veterinarian. That being said, J.F. Harding made this narration!! His Texas southern drawl was everything delicious but when those steamy moments came around lord help me, I blushed. Next year I am going to fill up my TBR with all things J.F. Harding because seriously y'all, I have been missing out.
Included in this ALC was the prequel novella The Wedding Date Proposition which was wonderful seeing how everything started between Clara and Maverick if it is not included in the final copy, I highly suggest listening to it or reading it if it becomes available.
Of course, I loved this book!! What's not to love? A seriously tasty cowboy and the sassy southern woman who won his heart, I mean come on!!
Kim Loraine's cowboys will keep you up late at night and that is not a bad thing...
This was an ok read. It is set in a small town and features gorgeous cowboys so that got things off to a very positive start. Clara is the town veterinarian and she is well liked and respected by everyone in town. Maverick Wilde is one of the Wilde boys. They are handsome brothers who had an awful father that impacted all of them hugely. They have a reputation in town of being heartbreakers, players and usually at the centre of any trouble.
Clara and Maverick are friends but they have never crossed the benefits line with each other despite a very obvious attraction. Then , Clara reveals that now she is in her thirties , she wants a baby and she is considering a sperm donor. Long story short, Maverick offers to try and get Clara preggers but he is clear up front he wants nothing to do with the baby or her after. Maverick did not have a good Father role model and he worries he would be a disaster as a dad or husband. Clara accepts as she had planned all along to go down the motherhood route alone but all the lines and boundaries get blurred and walking away may not be what either of them wants.
I enjoyed parts of this book but, for me, neither Clara nor Maverick made a strong impression. I warmed up to Maverick but Clara always felt a bit aloof. This is the first book in this series but it definitely ties into the Ryker Ranch, Saddle Up, series and I had not read all of those books so I was a bit lost at times as to different relationships with secondary characters. I felt I was missing important pieces.
HEA? Yes - I thought this was well done. Cheating? No.
(audiobook) Can you say perfection? It was very close, at least. A lovely couple, a heartfelt story, hot sexy times, lots of emotions: it was a well done recipe with good ingredients.
Maverick was a surprising and compelling character. A hot cowboy, a good guy and not a playboy, who’s afraid of having a family and reproducing the way his father treated him and his brother, but who’s committed to helping his best friend, the woman he loves, with having a baby–what’s not to love? In touch with his feelings, and not afraid of expressing them, he delivered some sweet and sexy lines to Clara, that melted my heart. He could be crude at times, but that was just part of his rough charm.
Clara, too, wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, nor to take charge of her life. Competent professional, good friend, independent woman, I loved her. Feeling having a child was the last piece of her puzzle, she was ready to seek a donor, until Maverick offered himself as a tribute, in the name of their friendship. Little did they know that would change their relationship forever. In a very good way.
This couple was everything! Their friendship was delightful, their love affair was even better. Once they decided to go there, they opened themselves even more, and shared the more difficult part of their past. That also meant that it became unconcievable why they didn’t want to date before, because they didn’t have a tragic past–though it wasn’t all rainbow and sunshine either.
There were good chunks of cowboy too, from riding a horse or a mechanical bull, to taking care of cattle. I felt like the added hockey team–I won’t say more about it–was a bit too much.
What could make it better? The narration of course. I knew how good the female narrator was already, but the male narrator blew my mind. The hottest cowboy that ever cowboyed. The duet narration was a good idea. And all the emotions, from funny banter to heavy conversation, to sexy bits, were expressed beautifully.
Quickie
- Series: Anything for love #1 (can be read as a standalone, linked to various series by the same author) - Hashtags: #cowboy romance #friends to lovers #pregnancy - Triggers: N/A - Main couple: Clara Barnes & Maverick Wilde - Hotness: 5/5 - Romance: 4/5 - + that’s one hot cowboy voice with a perfect drawl - – I didn’t quite understood their hang-ups
Sunrise, Montana is my happy place. I love the cowboy world Kim Loraine created and each book gets better and better. Mav and Clara’s story was amazing and the narration was perfection.
Kim Loraine really knows how to write good swoon as here comes Maverick Wilde melting our hearts into a puddle. I, for one, am in love! This friends to lovers’ story is all you could wish for, a beautiful friendship that turns into sweet steamy lovin´ mixed with tantalising longing and a little drama to get our heart aching just a smidge.
Maverick and Clara have been friends for a long time, both secretly burning for one another but not acting on those hidden feelings because of their working relations and friendship. Although when Mav finds out Clara wants to have a baby on her own, he gallantly offers to be her "Baby-Daddy" because he can’t imagine anyone else filling that role. Mav & Clara have such sparkling chemistry and I was enthralled following them through their story to a blissful HEA, needless to say with a few complications on the way. It was also wonderful to see familiar characters make an appearance as you can never have enough cowboys around and Mama Ryker is just a gem.
Seriously, every time, I read one of Kim´s cowboy romances, I think this is it, this is the one who stole my heart but then I am surprised once more by the next swoony charming stud that comes along claiming my heart. This story is no different and I can always count on Kim to give me what my heart desires, the perfect love story with an even swoonier cowboy! She is also a genius in finding the best narrators to portray these characters. We are treated to duet narration of Stella Hunter and J.F.Harding, and HOLY WOW, have you listened to J.F. Harding!?!? He is my new narrator crush, and I was fangirl-dying listening to him say DARLING, BABY and all the things in this southern drawl! His voice should probably come with a warning “Caution! Be swooned, sweet-talked and have your earbuds melted at your own risk” Ahhhh and Stella Hunter gave me all the feels with her passion for animals, her sweet sassy demeanour and fervent determination as Clara. She just is fantabulous!
The heroine was both apparently too old to wait any longer to have a baby, and also so immature she should not remotely consider having a baby. Felt like reading about a teen pregnancy.
Hello Maverick Wilde and all your swoony, broody, sexy cowboy vibes !
J.F. Harding as Mav did things to my ... heart! I love a good 'darlin ' thrown in to my cowboy romance, but I could listen to this man say baby alllllll day looong! Stella is amazing as always, and I enjoyed this new narrator pairing! Duet style narration is my favorite and I'm so glad that Kim Loraine writes these books in duet.
Clara is the premier vet for the Wildes and Rykers and approaching 40 with no prospects of a relationship on the horizon. What she really wants is to start a family and decides to take control of her destiny like a lady boss and find a suitable 'donor' to make a deposit. Enter Maverick ( who's holding a candle for our heroine). He generously volunteers to do the honors and the rest is history, or is it?? There's so much more to this couple the title reveals. Clara and Mav will melt you, but first, they will make you crazy!
Kim Loraine is my absolute favorite cowboy romance writer. Why? Because even though this trope is not new, she brings a fresh take on it that I couldn't resist! Maverick is not your typical cowboy, he's got so many layers to him and Clara is the lucky lady who gets to reveal them. If you've become as invested as I have with these families you will absolutely love listening to this book.
Here's my prediction: There's a new cowboy in town and his name is J. F. Harding! I'm hoping to hear a lot more from him in the future. In the meantime, I'll just re-listen to this one on repeat!!!
Got this book from Bookbub, a fabulous friends to lovers romance, the mains charters were a delight to read. Maverick and Clara were friends, you follow them after Clara decides she what a baby and Maverick doesn’t what just anyone to be the father he what’s to be. The journey has a few bumps but go read to see if things work out. First time reading Kim’s books and it won’t be the last 5⭐️
Kim Lorraine never disappoints so when a long come a Sexy Montana Cowboy EVERYONE should have swoon eyes .. because I know I did and Maverick Wilde does NOT disappoint !!
He may think he isn't worthy of a girl like Clara Barnes BUT never say never when Maverick sets his mind to something he makes a promise and he will stick with it FOREVER !! he is just the right Cowboy to give Clara what she wants and baby is what she wants. She might thing a sperm catalogue is the way to go BUT no one will ever be good enough for her and Mav is just the man to make her see that.
He wants to be the one to give her the WORLD !! Can this Cowboy give the Vet what she wants after two years of the skating around the truth ?? The TRUTH is they were made for each other .. loving each other.. being each others best friend .. there each others ride or die !! But can or are they willing to do and see what everyone else in town knows .. including the nosey church ladies .. they are a match made in heaven !!
Can jealous, secrets and bad judgement calls ruin it all for them even though a little one is involved ??
Wait till you read the ending it will have you SWOONING !! Loved it !!

The baby Proposition de Kim Loraine serie Anything for Love libro 1
Argumento:
Me gustó...
No me convenció...
As seen on my blog (Jessie's Reading Corner): This was a really delightful read/listen. Perfect to get lost in on a Monday! I chose this book as my next audiobook because the author and both narrators are going to be at Indies Invade Philly next month and I’m on a mission to read/listen to as much authors/narrators as I can before then. I started late so I don’t think I’m going to get through them all, but I’m going to try!
If you’ve followed my book blogging journey from the beginning, you know that I am a sucker for friends-to-lovers romance and this book was so stinkin’ perfect!!
Maverick and Clara have been friends since they met two years ago. As the blurb says, Maverick is attracted to Clara, but once he realized that she was going to be working on his ranch, he shut his feelings down. It isn’t until the two decide to pair up for all the weddings happening, to avoid the matchmakers, that the lines begin to blur. Then he hears about Clara’s plan to get turkey basted with someone’s swimmers and he offers himself up as tribute.
I really like the stories where the hero is the first to fall, and the one doing the pursuing and wooing. Maverick Wilde landed himself in my top book boyfriend pile with this story! I loved how he treated Clara, how he kept calling her “Darling” (J.F. Harding helped with that too), and how he kept pursuing and wooing her. Kim and J.F. Harding almost had me bawling my eyes out at work when Clara read Mav’s letter!
I really liked the side characters in this, and I think most have or will have their own book so I am definitely interested in going back and reading their stories!
This audiobook was the first book that I listened to where the narrators actually spoke their character’s lines, regardless of who was narrating that section, and I found myself completely immersed in the story because of it!
Looking forward to reading more stories from Kim Loraine and listening to more stories narrated by Stella Hunter and J.F. Harding!
**audiobook review** I received an ALC from Audibly Addicted and I am so thankful for the opportunity. Let me tell you - I I am so consumed with the lives of the Wilde, Langston, and Ryker Family. I've said this before and I will say it OVER AND OVER again, the world Kim Loraine has created with these families is a such an amazing world that celebrates love. Regardless of whatever personal issues, in the end these families come together to support one another through any and everything. With that said, let me talk about this book - The Baby Proposition, because Holy Hell was it damn hot. Maverick and Clara have been friends for a while. They are each other's plus one for weddings and events. They completely rely on each other to be there.
Maverick is the Wilde brother who feels he doesn't completely belong in one place. He doesn't feel that he will ever completely fit in with his brothers at the Ranch. He isn't interested in falling in love and starting his own family, or so he thought he wasn't. When he learns that his best friend, his plus one Clara is planning on starting her own family (as a single mother), Maverick realizes he cannot stand the thought of Clara having a baby from any other man who isn't him. When he volunteers as tribute - things between Clara and Maverick get hot really fast. The lines between friendship and love are tested and real feelings surface from within.
Listen Darlings - J.F. Harding and Stella Hunter's narration of Maverick and Clara was HOT, HOT, HOT! That bathtub scene!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I must have listened to it 10 times. The chemistry between Man and Clara was so intense because the two had been friends who trusted one another. This was something that strongly contributed to their relationship, but it also contributed to Clara's hesitation - especially because she knew what Mav wanted and did not want.
I loved this book, but I knew I would. I laughed, I got hot, and I also cried. There is something that happens in this book that brought an entire small town together and that is exactly what I mean about these books being so much more than what they are. Kim - give me more!!!
The Baby Proposition was one swoony, sexy, and endearing Cowboy, friends to lovers story. One of the best I’ve heard actually. Kim Loraine creates an amazing cowboy/ranch living world so perfectly. The story of Maverick and Clara was captivating from beginning to end. They have been the best of friends for years. Clara the vet to all the ranchers in the town , and Mav a ranch owner they work very closely together. They also attend functions like weddings together as friends. Clara nearing 40 wants to have a baby, and doesn’t want to rely on anyone… doesn’t want to get disappointed. Mav cannot stomach the thought of her having a baby with anyone else, so he offers her his “stud services”..With Clara secretly burning for Mav, with his Panty melting grin and that deadly sexy smirk. She excepted. He also is the only constant in her life. Mav starts to realize things about himself he never knew, and the story gets so down and dirty fun and complicated. J.F. Harding and Stella Hunter perform this duet-style which is such a great pairing for this book. I am a huge fan of J.F. Harding, this was a different type of book I’m used to hearing him narrate. He blew me away with his performance as Mav. The southern drawl he had fit perfectly. Cocky, self-assured… cowboy 100%! In the somber parts of the story I could feel the pain in his voice, the conflict, anger, the vulnerability. He was perfectly perfectly cast as Mav, and was pure perfection! Stella Hunter is also one of my favorite narrators, and this performance just took her to a whole other level. She was assertive, strong willed in scenes where she was vulnerable which was my favorite. She just has a voice as smooth as silk that I could listen to all day long. Love her! This book was fun, sexy, interesting, full of surprises, heartache, and second chances. Packed with dirty talk to make your spine tingle .. all the things you could ever wish for ! 5+ stars! ** Advanced Listeners Copy**
Maverick and Clara have been skirting around each other since he was required to come back to his Daddy’s ranch to help his brothers. He doesn’t want anything serious and she doesn’t need anything serious but these two fit together like perfect puzzle pieces. It’s been wedding season across their little town and the two have decided to be each other’s standing date over two months, but what Maverick doesn’t know is that the woman who has his mind, heart, and his eyes always plans to have a baby without complications of a relationship. This doesn’t sit well with Mav, so he proposes he make a deposit at the bank. Things get complicated when the old fashioned way seems more appealing and fun.
The dynamics of this relationship was great. You have an independent, successful, caring woman who feels everything because of her past, but you have a man in the same boat trying not to repeat the sins of the father. These two are electric together and make each other better individually, but it’s the journey that makes it all the better.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
“Clara Barnes was a lightning strike on a cloudless day. She was a wild force of nature that came out of nowhere. It was a one in a million chance to feel like this, and I had it right here with her.”
•Friends to lovers •Small Town •Breeding 🥵
This was my first book by Kim and I really enjoyed it. I’m a hoe for a good pregnancy/breeding trope, it was cute and hot!
What I liked: I like that they are older and she knows she wants a baby and is okay with doing it on her own. It was so cute how much she loved that he called her baby. So cute!🫠 When they found out they were pregnant and his sweet I love you…so sweet.
What I didn’t like: Felt a little lost cause because I think it’s continuation from a previous series but I got it pretty quickly. If I knew the secondary characters a little better I might have got hooked quicker but I was trying to figure everyone out. But I did like the secondary characters to go back and check them out. Sometimes she bugs me like she doesn’t trust him yet they’ve been inseparable for years and he’s never let her down before
Maverick and Clara have been friends for years. She works as a vet for the surrounding ranches, including Mav’s. They both are attracted to each other, but neither will admit it to the other. Although single, Clara wants to have a child. She doesn’t want to waste time waiting for Mr. Right. When she lets Maverick in on her plan, he decides to offer his services.
Maverick is kind of a loner; never staying in the same place for long. He has his brothers, but they have their own families, and although he doesn’t feel like the odd man out, he has no plans to settle down. Clara also has no desire to get married. But when he and Clara start working on a baby, he begins rethinking his stance on relationships. Even though they’ve been friends for years, Mav and Clara start seeing each other in a new light. Maybe, just maybe…
I loved the flirty banter between Mav and Clara. Their chemistry was obvious, but it got even stronger once they started trying to get pregnant. Their friendship evolved into a much stronger bond, and the heat between these two was off the charts. I loved getting an update on characters I’ve read and meeting some new ones in the world of Kim Loraine’s cowboys.
Kim creates some amazing cowboys and I love their stories. J.F. Harding and Stella Hunter give a wonderful narrating performance.
Clara Barnes and Maverick Wilde have been friends for a few years. They are both attracted to each other, but kept it to themselves. With bad parenting examples, neither pursued marriage. But as Clara approaches 40, she decides that she would like to be a mom. When Maverick hears about her plan to use a sperm donor, he offers his own services instead. And it seems to make more sense to switch to the old-fashioned, comfortable way rather than go the clinical route. Will this lead them into further thoughts of a HEA with each other? Can he convince Clara that he is serious about this?
I draw your attention to the “Daddy Boot Camp” section of the story that will have you laughing out loud as Maverick’s friends try to prepare him for fatherhood. It was so much fun! Grab your copy and enjoy their story as the two friends finally have a chance to explore their real feelings. What path will they decide to take?
Maverick and Clara's story is pretty fast-paced and a little bit emotional. Especially when Maverick thinks he doesn't deserve Clara. Both of them have had feelings for each other since the first time they met but then again Clara works on their ranch, so he wrote her as off-limits.
That was two years ago. Clara has given up on finding someone or doing something about her feelings for Maverick, so she decided to have a baby on her own. Maverick was not having it though so he offered to be her sperm donor. Things quickly took an interesting turn.
Absolutely loved their story. It was fun and sweet, but also emotional. Maverick is definitely a swoony hero, despite his insecurities and issues. But he tried so hard to be the man Clara wants and needs. I mean, the lessons he did with his friends to get him ready to have a baby? He couldn't have been any more perfect. He's the only one who couldn't see just how imperfectly perfect he is. My heart! I can't wait for the next book already
This is a well written book with a cast of strong characters centering on Clara and Maverick. The author does a great job developing their relationship and brings all the feels in this friends to lovers romance. It's told in the dual POV which shows the depth of their fears and emotions. She does a wonderful job painting her scenes and moves the story fluidly delivering a sweet and sexy cowboy love story. I loved reading their story and highly recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
I loved Clara’s mindset, how she was an independent woman who didn’t need a man to complete her life. She was determined to live her life how she wanted. But I also love that she ended up wanting Maverick haha! These two made me laugh with how they started out but you could tell that they were perfect together. Also daddy boot camp had me giggling like crazy but it also made me fall for Maverick even more. This was such a sweet, fun & quick read!
small town romance. friends to lovers. he‘s a cowboy that just inherited a fortune. she’s the veterinarian in town. she wants a baby. he offers to be the donor. they decide to do it the old fashioned way. lots of trying for a baby.
Do yourself a favour and get the audiobook! The narrator does an accent and I was seriously blushing while listening to this!
This is a friend's to lovers romance. The characters have some fun and exciting mishaps. Will the proposition work the way they want or will they get more?
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love a good friends to lovers and add in the breeding kink/offer to help make a baby and it's a recipe for sexy and heartfelt.
I honestly enjoyed Maverick and Clara's friendship. They'd kept things platonic for 2 years because of work but finally give in to their not so platonic feelings when Clara reveals she wants to have a baby on her own. It's like a combination of "let's get it out of our system" and "let me be the one to give you a baby". Which makes for some really sexy moments.
Aside from that. I love seeing previous characters support them the Wilde brothers, Clara's friends, their families. And I appreciated seeing how our MCs overcame their relationship avoidance that resulted from their pasts.
