“If those above destroy bridges and seal borders, then we’ll just have to navigate rivers and oceans to find each other. They show us that the cure, if there is one, is global; it is the color of the earth; the color of the work that lives and dies on the streets and barrios, oceans and skies, hills and valleys- like the original maize, it has many colours, hues, and sounds.”

Mostly stories, inspiring and nice to read. The declaration for life at the end of the book is amazing!

A silly little read mostly about banter in the Zapatista collective. It's few serious moments excel but the rest drags. The 4 page Declaration for Life is probably the highlight

Skip most of this except for the last few pages. Very heavy on metaphorical/allegorical storytelling which I didn’t expect and didn’t really care for.
