I've loved many novels by Tanya Chris, but it takes a special talent to write a good short story that not all good novel writers possess. Fortunately, Tanya Chris possesses that talent in spades. In these stories that range from cowboys, to brother's best friend, mm to mmm, nerd/jock, all the favorite romance tropes we get fully rounded characters who show us who and what the are immediately and get us involved in the plot from the first line of the story. These are perfect for dipping into when you want a good story but don't have lots of time. I really hope Tanya Chris gives us many more short story collections.

Outstanding!
This was a compilation of twelve short stories that just ROCK! I couldn’t put the book down and was entertained and mesmerized by the stories of hook ups and potentially more. What was nice was at the end of each story you would find a suggestion of what Tanya Chris story had the same theme if you wanted to explore. I have read almost all of Tanya Chris’ books and have loved every single one. I highly recommend this book as an introduction to her writing since it display the depth and range of her stories. You will not be disappointed!

This is a steamy entertaining collection of 12 short m/m and m/ m/ m stories. This author brings the heat and sweet with an endearing array of characters. Read a few before bedtime to ensure sweet dreams. I highly recommend it.

**I received an ARC with the understanding I would provide an unbiased review.**
Overall I think this is between 3.5 to 4 stars, mainly because there was a lot here that made me want more about the MCs and I know I won't be getting that. A lot of sexy times in most of the stories, probably could be classified as 'one handed' reads.
99.0% Buddy Lift, pretty sure this is directly from a porno, lol. Guy gets more than furniture delivery from his moving company. Definitely more about the sex than the connection between the MCs, but still a fun, dirty story.
92.0% Horndog Says Woof, another quick read that feels like it could be a beginning of a really fun story. It would have been nice to see Roland go back to explain Snowball to Kyle and to see them together. But, dogs and guys who are good to each other make for an enjoyable read.
86.0% Lollipop, Lollipop, friends to lovers, two HS seniors admitting to each other that they want to be more than friends. I'd have liked a little bit more because it was really just becoming a story as it ended, but it is sweet in an eighteen year old getting off way.
79.0% Hot Rod, very quick read about two race car drivers who appear to be enemies but are anything but. Lots of macho in this one but in an enjoyable way.
74.0% Here Cutie, Cutie, this was a cute updated take on a couple common themes, firemen coming to rescue cats out of trees and firemen porn. It was actually really a sweet story although Paul's lust over Aaron's house was a little weird.
66.0% Demi-Love, a bit of voyeurism, some long time friends finally giving into what they both wanted for a while thanks to a girlfriend who is all about watching. I would enjoy more of the three of them.
59.0% Cape Cock Block, I read this before a few years ago. I like it, but I find it a little odd that there is never any acknowledgement that Shaun was into Leith the entire time. Still a fun bit of a version of orgasm denial.
45.0% Anytime, Anyplace, oh, I loved this one so much! Geek/Jock, Archer is maybe on the spectrum and he's adorably pushy and completely aware of what he wants. Jordan is physically a jock, but mentally just as geeky as Archer and equally sure about what he wants. I would absolutely love to read more about these two.

27.0% I'm not sure how I feel about the racial aspect of this story, but for as much as this was about the sex there was a definite aspect of sweetness. I liked the friendship between Mike and Elliott.

📚Excellent way to dip into the author's work😉
This is one steamy collection, MM mostly but author Tanya Chris mixes it up with some other combinations too (MFM, MMM). All different from each other, all get the juices flowing😋. Each story is complete on its own, but Chris adds a cool feature. At the end of each short story she gives a suggestion for one of her books with the same flavor but not necessarily the same characters. Very helpful if your predilection is geared to a specific trope or combination of players.
I thought I would just read one short story at a time but like that potato chip, I could not stop once I started! The stories are to the point, with a quick move into the heated parts and a full plot arc in every one.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

I have been one of Tanya Chris' affectionate readers for some time now, and I think the idea of this book is great. It is a collection of hot and hotter very short stories that you may read at any moment of the day when you have a break and just want to switch off your mind and forget the world around you.
You will find a variety of MCs, backgrounds, and heat levels. At the end of each story, the author also suggests other of her books that deal with similar MCs or generally storylines. So this is a great way to get to know her work, enjoy it and then go to her Amazon page and buy her books!

A Great Sampling of Tanya Chris.
I'm definitely a fan of this author. This collects 12 of her short stories into a single volume with each story ending in helpful recommendations for a similar longer length story she's written. I do prefer the longer stories, but quickies like this are fun. A word of warning, though, before you buy - most of these have been available as freebies through giveaways or the author's website and subscriber newsletter. I recommend borrowing on Unlimited if you're unsure whether you've read any of these before. For me, I'd had most of these on to be read list for ages and this collection finally got me around to reading them.
My favorites were Anytime, Anyplace, City Slick, Horndog Says Woof and Cape. The New Guy is the most memorable read, but I don't know if it's one of my favorites. There's a LOT that happens in that one and the beginning is a little skeevy but it gets pretty good by the end. Demi-Love is the only one that I knew I'd read before going in and it's a good one, though it does contain a female participant so beware if you only want MM stories. All the rest are pretty standard, quick erotica fare. Cute and sweet, for the most part, but not really enough to be a satisfying or overly memorable read.

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. 12 short novella bundled. Just love how each story has it all where you have friends helping out in different ways from, a whiney straight guy, lonesome ranchers, first timers, voyeurism, feisty fetishes, all enentertainment to read after all Tanya Chris never disappoints, you name it's these smoking little reads have it.

This is a bundle of twelve short stories from an author I’ve had on my watch list for a long time. Her stories are never close to the same and each should be rated above five star. She combines emotion, heartwarming, heartache, humor and originality to each story. Each of these stories, even though complete, made me want more. I’m so glad she put this set together, it gave me a chance to read a complete story in between other chores I was doing.

Tanya Chris has announced her retirement from the field of m/m; I hope someone can fill her shoes, because I will miss her a lot. 'A Dirty Dozen' is a sort of farewell kiss blown to her fans and showcases her particular gift for sweet hotness, or hot sweetness... you get my drift. What a treat!
