Re-read 25th - 26th March

I needed a refresh before I moved onto the next one.

Original review.
Okay so I’ve made it to book 14 and that’s all that’s available at the moment. I think reading these books has just become a habit. I loved them at first but they’ve all become so similar. To be honest they have been for quite a while really. While I like Monty and Simon they never seem to grow or really develop. And as this story proved they’re not exactly the brain trust. But Peaches I adore.
I also think a break will help.

I enjoy this series so much filled with humor, excitement and thrills... and btw, well written characters and great storyline. The story just flies by and I found myself one morning sitting longer at the kitchen table reading away while my coffee got cold! Mr Sanchez never disappoints .. you can tell he takes his work to heart and provides an excellent read.

I just recommend this series, this book to anyone who enjoys a fun read!

That was a very quick read

Simon and Monty are in a bit over their heads. Okay, they’re completely in over their heads. So much so there’s no time to breathe, have coffee, tea or sausage for Peaches. Another engaging, destructive episode of Montague and Strong. I can’t wait for the next book.

After a somewhat slow beginning, this book went straight into non-stop action with a side of hair-raising danger. Once Monty and Simon enter the moving market all bets are off, no matter what protection Dex thinks he affords them. Chaos is back, embodied in a dark mage with control over the unbounded and he will not stop until he has his revenge.

Simon is still trying to get a grip on his new improved self and lashing out at everybody out of frustration and barely contained rage but, in the end, rage can be used to propel you, can't it?

And, argh! this is the last audiobook I have in this series, so I'll have to wait to keep reading it *cries*
But after having done a Peaches-style consumption of these books (14 novels and 7 short stories in 12 days!) maybe is a good idea to take a break :P

Another triumph!
Only 6 more to go in this series & looks like the action will be picking up!
Monty, Strong & of course Peaches have grown throughout the series with the real-time problem solving & dialogue fully realizing this team!
Hoping for another visit by TK & LD! And bonus points for pop culture references peppered in!

I wonder if I'm running out of steam when it comes to this series. They're really short reads and not a lot happens, and I'm usually okay with that, but I wonder if I've gotten all I'm gonna get from this series. I love the characters, but I wish there was more development in the storyline. I wanted there to be more revelations, more changes, just more. At this point, I kind of knew what to expect, and that is always disappoint when reading a book. Basically, I would really like a full length novel.

Destruction is Coming!

Divine Intervention is a story by Orlando A. Sanchez.
The team is back and destruction is coming. Of course, it is not their fault. Destruction just seems to follow them. After all, what can they do when a god has it in for them.
And as usual, my favorite is Peaches. Peaches is great! He even has his own addendum to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs which includes naps and sausage.
Simon is learning more about his powers and is becoming powerful in his own right.
Magic, action, destruction, New York City! What more can you ask for in a great story.

Maine’s & Chaos bad to the bone

Monty & Strong had to go to the Moving Market and found that Tess and Maine’s laid a trap for them by putting them in a time loop. M&S have to find a way out of this time loop, only to find out when they do the crafty artesian has taken a book that will lead Meines& Chaos directly to them, the book is a beacon to lead Meines and Chaos directly to a cemetery for the showdown. Peaches goes to retrieve Uncle Dex to the rescue to help drive Chaos out of Meines body. The NYTF sends missiles but they can’t defeat Chaos, the officers end up all dead and their souls become the unbound are used against M&S. In the end the Director ends up being the blood sacrifice needed to drive Chaos from Meines body. Strong wants to kill Meines but Dex tells him it’s above his pay grade. Strong insists that Meines must die, then Babd Catha says she will punish Meines. The city is a disaster and a war zone, a lot of good people died trying to stop and dark mage and the God Chaos, who is roaming around looking for another Dark Mages body to kill Strong and Monty. Chaos is around waiting to come back and get his revenge. Can’t wait for the next action packed book.

☆☆ SPOILER ALERT ☆☆ From the audiobooks

I give it two extra stars for the battles. I'm ready for these people to go on an extended vacation without me...

There was never a time when Uncle Dex would kill his two nephews.  Harm yes, kill no.

Monte always says. "We have no other option". This is never really true.

Will Simone eventually grow as a character? I think in micro-doses. Simon is on some super stupid variant.

(carry over from the previous book)
Monte did not rent to super rare Dragon car from Cecil, The Dragon Clan used it for special occasions. Monte told Cecil, that if something happened he would pay for a replacement, so why would Cecil be mad at them? They did not smash it.

Everyone in their life blames them for every wrong thing they are remotely close to in New York or elsewhere. That has worn thin to me.

Why would [acting] director Jarmen not understand what was going on in a battle she sent her people into? It took me a minute to understand why she did what she did, but why was she so reckless? How did she bond with officers she knew for less than a week?

I might need to take a break from this series of characters' shenanigans. ✌🏾📚🎧

Things always seem to go from bad to worse...........

But this has gone off the charts and into Holy Heck, being polite so my review gets posted😉, stratosphere!!

Explosions rock The Boyz and Peaches world and not in a good way.

Hundreds die, just because a God once banished by Simon, Tristan and Peaches, makes a nasty comeback and goes straight after them.

Oh yes AND the Mark is like a beacon, letting all comers know that if they kill Simon, they'll get a reward for it 😮😮🙄🙄

Glowgre 😅😅😅👍👍

Love this series

This book was just as lovable as the rest of the series. The one thing I keep forgetting and need to remember is that these are surprisingly fast reads. What I mean by that is that even if they are over 200 pages, the action is so non stop that the pages fly by. It may be the wholesale destruction they face, but even the deaths don’t seem heavy. This is an important distinction in books for me.

Fast Paced

It was over too quick. A new mark puts our beloved detectives in jeopardy. Two old enemies challenge our heroes and Dec makes a couple of appearances. Love it. M&S need to go back to the Market to secure an item. Tess is none to happy to see them. An old an powerful enemy is back and wants to kill them both. Of course, they both have a couple of tricks up their sleeves. Great read…. Very fast paced….

DIVINELY INSPIRED AND MAGICALLY EXECUTED. M &S ROCK ALL WORLDS

This one required that emotional investment that Sanchez can still wring out of you by the bucket. Monty and Simon (and Peaches of course) are again masterfully choreographed to a thrilling battle with an old god who isn't ever going away. The A team is pulled together and, as he warned us, someone dies. Thanks again for the breathe grabbing work.

A Storm is Brewing

This was a wild ride! I cannot say enough good things about this series and this author. I have loved Simon and Monty since Tomb yards and Butterflies. Peaches is the bestest boy and deserves ever flowing meat.

I don't think in ready for what my guys are going to go through but I cannot and will not stop noe, even if it breaks my heart. As long as Mr. Sanchez is telling these stories, I'm down for the ride. The next book beckons!

Not my favorite

A lot of the author’s books have a lull in them, but this book didn’t ever get out of it. The previous book was my absolute favorite of the series, so this was a disappointment to experience in the aftermath of amazing writing. I know all he books pave the way for future novels and give detail to the inter workings of the MS & P universe, I’m struggling to see what the purpose of this one was/is.

Love this series but

So disappointed that Mr Sanchez does not offer audio for the rest of the series. Most good authors have audio. I guess this separates him from the really good authors. Such a shame. Especially when he says he writes for his readers. Such BS. Please correct this. It is never to late to provide the audio to your books

A good place to stop reading the series.

The last few books be came so formulaic, and I tired of everything being about pain, and meat. But having so many cliff hangers meant trying to push through yet one more. Fortunately this book ended well, but with more death and destruction promised for the books ahead, it seems a good place to stop.

This was once again awesome! I just love Simon and Monty's banter. And I loved that this time around it was Simon who figured it out, the way out at one point, with just the, erm, softest of taps from Karma. A lot of characters, lovely characters, died in the last few volumes, though. It made me sad :(

Chaos is back

Monty and Simon and of course Peaches are back in another exciting adventure. Simon is every bad guy’s target thanks to Kali’s mark. Another fun trip to the market and meeting a new friend? I always enjoy these adventures and am sad when they’re over all too soon.

Always love the Strong and Montague stories.

Strong never learns until he does and Montague puts up with his snark, that usually gets them in trouble.
Let's not forget Peaches and his famous "Meat is Life" motto. Enjoyed the story and look forward to the next one!

Excellent as always

I love this author, and this is my favourite series, the Montague and Strong series. Together with Peaches, the hellhound bonded with Strong, the team takes on evil wherever it hides. A very fun and exciting read.

Another breakneck ride

No one escapes unscathed when there are Unbound and a psychotic dark mage to deal with. Once again Simon and Tristan are taking on a an enemy they cannot possibly defeat on their own. If you like snarky banter, a fast pace and a Hellhound with an adorable name, this is the series for you.
