This is the 2nd book in this series, and this is Luna and Cody’s story. Luna is Riley BFF, and she though her life was planned out, with her dream job, marry the perfect guy, and have some kids down the line. Luna’s “perfect man” dumps her at the airport, and when she meets tattooed bartender Cody, the sparks fly. When her ex-boyfriend comes back into her life as a co-worker, Luna needs to make some tough decisions. This is a well written story which has undeniable chemistry, friendships, emotions, humor, witty banter, drama, tension, misunderstandings, surprises, and love, which leads to a heartfelt page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Holy Moly! I couldn’t put this book down. What a page turner! Imagine dating someone and the place where you work your ex decides he’s gonna work there also. That’s what happens to Luna. Things definitely don’t get easier for her. Her and Cody are perfect together but her ex seems to not get a hint, especially when Luna tells him she has a boyfriend. Luna doesn’t tell her boyfriend right away about him either. When something unexpected happen and Luna tells Cody, will their relationship survive? Luna is also hiding something else from Cody and a lot of people she loves. How will this affect her life or even the life she could have with Cody. I shed some tears for Luna and Cody throughout the book. Their chemistry and banter is what a true relationship is all about. Things are definitely gonna change for them in the long run when everything comes out. Will it pull them together for the greater good or permanently destroy what they had? Be prepared to not only fall in love with this book, but also Luna and Cody on their wild ride of a journey from beginning to end.

Thank you to Shannon O'Connor for providing me with an ebook copy of Unexpected Days for me to read and review. This is the second book in the Eternal Port Valley series and is also able to be read as a standalone novel, however reading the first book added to my immersion into the plot. I enjoyed the first book in the series and this one was even better! I felt immediately connected to the hardworking female main character and was rooting for her throughout the book. The main character's from book one were seamlessly included in this story, and it was great to be able to see the progression of their relationship in the background of the story. I loved that this story was fast paced and I couldn't read it fast enough. There were a number of spelling and wording errors, which disrupted my reading at times, but didn't significantly impact the story. The ending left me hopeful and eager to read the next book to see where these character's lives will take them.

Unexpected Days was an unexpected surprise in the very best of ways. I loved Luna a ton, and man did she get the wrong end of the stick when it came to relationships. I could totally understand her with her life planned out like she did, but unfortunately, other people don't always get on board so despite the fact that she thought she found the perfect man, well, he was a disappointment when he dumped her out of the blue in an airport. However, fate intervened & brought Cody into her life, and he was the best thing to happen to her as he broke down her walls one by one. It gets complicated when that ex comes back into her life as her co-worker, it turns her world upside down all over again which could make or break the new relationship. Will they still be standing together when the storm passes?! Well, you'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out, but be prepared for all the feels along the way with this emotional ride! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the second book in the Eternal Port Valley series and is also able to be read as a standalone novel.  While this could be read as a stand alone, I think that reading book 1 (Unexpected Departure) first enhances oneś reading since the characters are intertwined.

Luna thought she had everything figured out with her boyfriend Parker and that her future with him was set.  She did not plan on their relationship coming to an end and she tries to move on with Cody.  What she does not expect is that Parker will enter her life again.  When she finds that she is unexpectedly pregnant she has to evaluate her relationships and make some decisions that will affect the rest of her life.

I received an ARC of Unexpected Endings.

I have been lucky to read a few of Ms O’Connor’s books and I am hooked by her writing and characters. Luna and Cody are in a perfect relationship until her ex Parker reappears on the scene and throws Luna’s life into chaos. A misunderstanding causes Luna and Cody to separate and some drama creates more space between them until they are brought together again by an unexpected surprise. This was a beautiful read that had me emotional on occasion but I loved reading it so much. This book had it all – romance, love, drama and passion. It will most certainly grab you and reel you in. A wonderful series that I highly recommend.

I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

As always I love Shan's writing, especially the imagery when she's writing New York! And I was very glad to see not only more of Cody and Luna of course but also some of Riley and Sawyer. The thing that kept me from giving it a full five stars though is it almost didn't feel finished. Like I wanted to see conversations and them putting in the work and things like that. There were also times I was mad at Luna but I see pieces of myself in her haha. It was a very good book I just wanted a bit more.

This book was hard to put down! Luna has a great life, with a job she is amazing at, with a boyfriend that is perfect for her. However, when her ex comes to work at the same place she does, she keeps it to herself. And of course something happens, and because Luna was not completely honest with Cody upfront, we do not know if her relationship will survive. There are definitely some spicy moments, some laugh out loud moments, and all the feels. Such a wonderful read!

This is Luna and Cody's story.   It is 2nd in the Eternal Port Valley Duet.  It can be read as a stand-alone but I suggest you read them both.   Ms. O'Connor always delivers all the feelings in her work. This story is no different.  The characters are relatable and feel like people you would know.   (Or want to know)

Frustrating

I found Luna & Cody’s story very frustrating; at times I had a hard time liking or having compassion toward her. At times I felt Sawyer, Riley & Cody & Lina’s story’s got jumbled. Some chapters were all over the place. I did push on & enjoyed the out come. ***Even though it wasn’t my favorite read, you need to give it a chance•***

I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am reviewing it voluntarily

A lovely topsy turvy story full of the sort of problems in every day life

The characters are real the trials too

Got annoyed when secrets were being kept that doesn’t usually end well

Luna and Cody were very cute together, and I enjoyed their story quite a bit. Their HEA was very cute.
