Not what I was expecting. It was definitely too short and I think the fast pace hindered the character development. It felt very wham bam thank you ma’am with Martin and he did a pretty good job of making Alexis sound like the perfect rebound/fling rather than having any real, deep emotional connection to her.

Maybe it was better to get back at Jessie by claiming this woman for myself . . .

Alexis meets Martin when she finds herself fighting her former employers for sexual harassment. He is the attorney that has been trying to take down her late boss and his brother and he agrees to help Alexis since their goals are the same.

Martin recognizes her as a Little but Alexis is a newbie and there was little to no introduction for her which seemed off to me. Martin openly pursues Alexis when he finds out that his Little, Jessie, has been sneaking around with his brother, Ryan. It skeeved me out that Alexis looked like Jessie physically and Martin was 100% onboard with moving on with Alexis to get back at Jessie.

She wasn’t bad looking, and she reminded me a lot of Jessie, despite how mad that made me. She was short and curvy, but she seemed a little more dependable than Jessie. Hell, if it hadn’t been for the fact that I was still pissed off about Jessie betraying me, I would probably try to get with Alexis. She was cute enough . . .

IDK about others, but nothing in the above quote warmed me to Martin. He came off as cold and calculating. I love reading DD/lg books but I need to have a caring and affectionate Daddy and a concrete connection between the MCs that isn’t 100% about the sex. I just didn’t get that from Martin and Alexis. Everything he said and did was for his own benefit and Alexis, although really a sweet girl, came off as too naïve. She questions what a Little is and is okay with being brushed off by Martin’s vague “ That’s something for another day” response. There was no build up to their relationship and that one sex scene (without protection after only knowing each other for a few hours!) felt really out of place and rushed. I'm used to suspending my disbelief when reading but something so blatantly reckless was too much to overlook.

Overall, it was okay but not something I’ll be remembering or re-reading any time soon. This is part of a series and it’s hinted that Jessie (Martin’s ex who was cheating on him with his brother) is the “heroine” of the next book. Apparently, Ryan (Martin’s brother) dumps her and she decides to try her luck at going after Ryan and Martin’s other brother, Jack. I know it’s a small world but when siblings share lovers, its too small so I won’t be reading any more.

If you liked the idea of a Little farm/ranch, I’d highly recommend the Montana Daddies Series by Laylah Roberts, the multi author series, Holidays at Rawhide Ranch and Dinah Mcleod’s Ranch Rules: A Cowboy Daddy Romance and The Ranch Contract: A Cowboy Daddy Romance. There are great characters, emotional connections, amazing chemistry and open discussions of the DD/lg lifestyle for both newbies and characters already living the lifestyle.

Outside Drama: Not really. Aside from the whole cheating plot device, which was resolved way too easily, there was no drama. Martin said jump and Alexis instantly obeyed. Easy Peasy, Lemon squeezy.

Daddy/litte girl Kink: It’s implied but as a newbie, Alexis doesn’t exhibit any traits and their vanilla sex is just that.
Little Space/Regression: None. Alexis is ready to move in with Martin and live on a Little Farm but has no idea what or if she’s a little. She basically just goes along with it because Martin likes it and she want’s Martin to like her. Very one sided dynamic between these two.

Other DD/lg characters: Martin and his triplet brothers live on a farm, they’ve made a safe place for Littles and Daddy Doms. It’s implied that all the brothers are into the Dd/lg lifestyle but there are no scenes or other characters that make any appearance in this short read.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of the Bad Daddies of Texas series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Alexis is sweet, strong, stands up for herself (mostly) and because she told her boss no (not giving in to the sexual harassment) she no longer has a job. Martin sexy as all get out attorney who meets Alexis and wants to help for several reasons but reasons one was the sexual harassment issues. Martin’s goal is to make companies pay by shutting them down for mistreating their employees or wrongful firing of their employees. Neither of them expected the chemistry to be instant and intense, the magnetic pull to be so strong. So, do her past employer get what’s coming to him, her intentions was to get back to her ranch do she and can they find happiness?

This is the beginning of the story of Martin and Alexis. He is a lawyer and also run a farm with his brothers Jack and Ryan. They are triplets. At the beginning of the story he had a Little named Jesse. He had a meeting with had a meeting with Alexis because she was fired from her job after one of the owners of the company harassed her. This has not be the first time this happened and this would be the chance Martin has to finally close the company with all the evidence Alexis collected. During this day, Martin realized that Jesse was cheating on him but at the same time he was attracted to Alexis. So he decided to move on and have a non strings attached moment with Alexis. But after that he decided that she was the one for him. This is the first book and I can’t wait for the next one. Great characters and plot.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Martin and Alexis. Martin is a lawyer and lives on a farm with his brothers Jack and Ryan. Martin haas a little named Jesse and soon learns she has been cheating on him. When Martin gets a new client named Alexis, he finally has the evidence he needs to shut down the Jenson Brother's company. Alexis was sexually harassed and recorded the conversation. Alexis is very attracted to Martin, but she thinks he is probably taken. When Martin learns Jesse cheated on him, he knows he can pursue something with Alexis. I liked this book, i thought there should have been more to the story and think i will have to read the next book in the series to see who things turn out.

'Bad Daddy's Broken Little' by Mary Potter is the first book in her new series Bad Daddies of Texas and tells the story between Martin and Alexis. Martin is a lawyer and lives on his brothers' ranch with his Little, Jessie. Alexis works for the Jenson brothers and and is a victim of sexual harassment then fired unfairly. She contacts Martin to see if he would take her case.

Ms. Potter has written a great start to her new series. This story is full of drama, suspense, a few twists, and heat. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a quick but satisfying read with their glass of wine.

Alexis is set up by her boss when she insists on trying to file a sexual harassment charge. She goes to Martin for help with filing the suit because of his reputation for taking down the unscrupulous employers in the area. When they meet the attraction is immediate and they are delightful together. This is a short story that leaves the reader hanging. Alexis and Martin meet when she approached him about a sexual harassment case she wanted to file against the boss's of the company who fired her because she wouldn't go out with one of the co-owners.
Martin was only to ready to take on this case because it was finally a chance to close this company down after numerous other claims had fallen through.
Martin was a Daddy but as Alex seemed co confident and independent could be hope she might also be a little?

Loved the story Alexis was working for a company when one of the Bosses tried to hit on her Alexis recorded everything and took photos of everything that she signed. Alexis organised a meeting with a Lawyer, she had to meet the Lawyer out the front of his work. Martin is a Lawyer and he wants to take down this company, he organised Jessie his little but when he phoned he could not reach her, her phone was off. He was mad with Jessie and took Alexis to his office.

Very short, cute but to go after a relationship on the same day was really rushed. Alexis is going to see Martin who is a lawyer because she is going to sue her old bosses after they fire her for turning in one of the brothers for sexual harassments. He moves her to his Little's farm and decides to keep her as his little. The one he had has been cheating on him with his other brother. So much for brotherly love. Seemed like the story was rushed. I enjoyed the story of Martin and Alexis. The story was short and to the point. I wish it had been a bit longer. It had a lot of information to cover and could use some more pages to fully delve into it. The author has written some nicely developed characters. This story did leave me with some questions. Hopefully the next book in the series will be able to answer them. Hope to read more by this author soon.

Their Unexpected Love Connection -
I had a few free hours to spare and stumbled across this book and OMG, I was really happy that I chose to read it. The storyline was great and characters were intriguing, but most of all you won’t be able to stop reading, once you start, as you will just want to keep turning the pages. I will definitely be reading more books from this author.

This is a great read from a new author to me.
Alexis has just lost her job but will her new lawyer Martin be able to help her get justice or will the attraction between them get in the way.
A great storyline and characters that you won't be able to forget. The story isn't finished but can they get a HEA and get her justice.

Its a quick easy read. Martin is attorney and runs the farm with his brothers and Alexis is sexual harassments victim from her work. They end up fighting the law suit together and falling into love.

Ugh!!!

This was a soft introduction to the daddy/little lifestyle. With good characters and a good storyline it was entertaining. A great performance.
