Grab a comfortable chair and your favorite beverage because once you start reading you won't be able to stop. Prepare for Amber and Jake to take you on an emotional roller coaster. The series continues with lots of secrets exposed, plenty of drama and emotions. The conclusion to Amber and Jake's story is not what I expected. As you know from the previous book that Amber is pregnant and they have adopted three boys. Amber finds out she is adopted and who her birth mom it. Jake has issues dealing with everything. This has been an amazing series and you really should read the previous books first for best enjoyment. The story was well written and gripping. Avery North has written a 5-star book. In order to know the full backstory of this series, you will need to have read the first five books. At the end of book 5, we found out Corrine is in prison for what she tried to do to Amber and Jake. Amber found out she was adopted and she had a DNA test done to see if she could find her birth mother.
Book 6
Amber has just gotten the letter letting her know who her birth mother is and she can't believe who it is. Jake reads the letter and said: "Are you kidding me, Corrine is your mother?" Jake gets upset with Amber when she tells him she wants to go and see Corrine in prison. Jake wants to know why. She tells him she just wants answers as to why she was given up and for the way she was treated by Corrine while growing up. Jake tells her that she just needs to walk away. Jakes said that with everything Corrine had done to them, and everything she had put them through he wanted nothing to do with her. Amber tells him that she doesn't expect him to understand but it is something she has to do. Later that night, Jake makes Amber promise not to go and see Corrine. Even with the promise, Amber goes to see Corrine. She finds out that Corrine was due to get married but her fiance was killed in an accident. This put Corrine in a very dark place and she didn't want anyone to be happy. She couldn't care for a baby so she gave her up. Amber asked, "If you had known I was your daughter when you were my guardian, would it have changed things?" Corrine said that she didn't know. Amber then tells her that she would not allow Corrine to get near her grandchildren. She then walks out of the prison. Jake has found out that Amber went to see Corrine and he is upset with her. He asked what happened and she tells him. He tells her that she needs to just walk away from Corrine. The next day, Amber gets a call from the warden of the prison and is told that Corrine had been stabbed and is in the hospital and might not make it. Amber wants to know why she is being called. She is told that she was the emergency contact name for Corrine. Amber is told what hospital Corrine is at. Amber tells Jake that she is going to go see Corrine and he gets upset all over again. She tells him that she has to do this and she doesn't know why. When she gets to the hospital and into Corrine's room, she said "Corrine, what have your gotten yourself into this time. Anne, Corrine's counselor walks in behind Amber and said she was sorry that she didn't know someone was with Corrine. Anne asks if she was a relative? Amber tells the woman who she is and the relationship she had with Corrine. Anne said that Corrine had mentioned her. Amber asked, "What happened?" Anne tells her that word spread that Corrine was getting released and some of the inmates were jealous. She was stabbed in the shower and one of the guards found her. If she made it, Corrine would be released into Amber's custody until her court date for the stabbing. "What do you mean release?" Amber asked. Amber was told that Corrine was being released on good behavior and also because the prison was being shut down. Corrine was one of our model prisoners. Anne said. Anne told her that someone would have gotten in touch with her shortly with the information. Anne said that she needed to go but asked Amber for her information so that she could send her the information on Corrine's release. Amber goes home and tells Jake what is going on. She tells him that she wants to take Corrine up to the cabin until she recovers. Jake is not happy about her wanting to do this just because he doesn't trust Corrine. It takes Corrine three weeks before she is released from the hospital. It is time for Amber to take Corrine to the cabin. Jake is concerned with Amber going to the cabin since she is seven months pregnant. Jake has hired a security guard to watch over Amber up at the cabin with Corrine. While up at the cabin, Amber and Corrine have a few long talks about the past. Corrine tells her that she is really sorry for the things that she had done to Amber and Jake over time. Jake is worried about Amber since she has not called or texted him and he calls his mom to maybe get some advice. His mom gave him some good advice and it makes him think about things and how Amber feels. Amber and Corrine are sitting at the table talking and Corrine reaches over to take Amber's hand and she winced. Corrine asked "what's wrong? Did I hurt your hand?" Amber tells her that she just thinks the baby kicked too hard. Corrine tells her that she will fix her come tea. “Oh no, Corrine. I don’t think tea is going to calm me. My water just broke,” Amber cried as a contraction hit her, making her bend over in pain. “I think the baby is coming.” Corrine looked at Amber. “Shall I call an ambulance? Jake?” Amber stood, clutching her stomach. “Help me upstairs, then you can call, Jake. I’m sure he’ll call an ambulance, but I don’t think there is time.” Corrine helped Amber up the stairs and got her settled on her bed. “I’ll go call Jake and then get some towels. I’ll be right back, baby girl. Your Mama won’t leave you.” Jake has taken the boy down to the lake and left his phone in the car. He doesn't know Amber is in labor until he and the boys get back to the car. He tells the boys they are going to go to the cabin to see mommy. He just hopes he hasn't missed his baby girl's birth. When he gets to the cabin, he tells the boys to stay downstairs while he goes to check on Amber. When he gets to the bedroom, Corrine asks for him to hand her something. He goes to Amber and she lets out a scream. The boys come upstairs and ask if Amber was alright. Jake tells them that Amber is just having their baby sister.
Will Amber and Jake finally get the peace they want?
Can Amber and Jake forgive Corrine for the things she has done?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

*Spoiler alert*Amber can’t believe she was adopted. She wants to know where she came from. Jake suggested she get a DNA test. It might help her get some answers. She expressed to her doctor how she was feeling. He took blood work. He called her in to discuss her results. She was shocked to find out she was having a baby. To surprise her boys she got a cake. Her family just got bigger. Her DNA results came in the mail. A match was found. She could not believe who she was matched to 100%. Amber needed answers. Jake wants her to wash her hands of her. Jake doesn’t understand. Yes Corrine has done horrible things but she is Amber’s mom. Amber goes to the prison for answers. Corrine doesn’t know until Amber enlightens her. Amber doesn’t know Corrine is scheduled to be released early on good behavior. Corrine sits and sobs after Amber leaves. She can’t believe Amber is her daughter. Corrine has been clean and sober since she got arrested. Amber gets a phone call from the prison. Corrine was found by a guard. She was stabbed in the shower. She was in the ICU. Amber went to see her when she was told that they were going to call her about Corrine’s release in her custody. How was Amber going to explain this to Jake without an argument. Amber was not turning her back on Corrine. Jake doesn’t trust her. He hires a bodyguard. Amber takes Corrine to the cabin to heal. During the time they actually got to talk. The unexpected happened. Her water broke and she was leaving messages for Jake. Corrine sprung into action and helped her to the bedroom. Jake and the boys were fishing. Jake left his phone in the car. When got back to the car he saw missed call and texts and a couple voicemails. The baby was coming. When Jake and the boys got to the cabin the baby was almost here. The paramedics came. Corrine went to step aside and the paramedics told her to continue. Corrine delivered her granddaughter. Amber and the baby was taken to the hospital to get checked out. Corrine had the boys. Jake had no choice but to put his trust into Corrine. Corrine knows she has done horrible things and she knows she might not be forgiven. She proves to Jake and Amber she is a changed person. They move her in their house. She helps with the boys and Amber. Corrine and Jake have become friendly. Corrine and Jake’s mom sat down and aired out their differences. Amber’s life is becoming complete. Her family is getting along. The wedding is next.Jake and Amber have been waiting and finally they are getting married. Their hearts are full and family is complete. This was nail biting series. I loved it!! Congratulations Avery!!

Together - Part 6 - Sometimes you have to forgive your family, even when they have done wrong

Together is the sixth and final book/part of the Fight for love series. This book continues the story of story of Amber Paige and Jake McCarthy and picks up where the previous book, Resolution, ended. Even as Amber and Jake's lives are settling down there is still more drama coming in the form of Corrine, but not in the way that she once impacted them. Since discovering Corrine was her birth mother Amber knows that she needs answers to certain questions. Once she has those she also realizes that she cannot just walk away and never see Corrine again. Jake does not want Corrine anywhere near his family, which includes Amber, Adam and now Stevie and Timmy, plus Penny the dog and the unborn child that Amber is carrying. But when Corrine is seriously injured it is Amber who cannot stay away and soon starts a new relationship with Corrine, who proves that she has changed and is very regretful of her past treatment of Amber. Jake may not approve but it is his mother who gives him a few words of wisdom that have him thinking maybe he needs to understand Amber's POV a bit more. Before long everyone comes together and forms a large and loving family unit with Amber and Jake at the middle of it all.

This was a wonderful conclusion to the story. There was still more drama, a lot of love, family, friendships and of course some hot and sexy passion. I really enjoyed this last book in the series.

Jake and Amber find that the simple life is not quite in their grasp at the time even though they are happy with the boys and since Amber found out she was adopted and she hasn't been feeling well she goes to the doctor for the DNA test to find her mother she tells the doctor about how she has been feeling and he does a blood test, she is feeling much better when she returns home. Jake and Amber are horrified to find out who her mother is and she has to go and speak to her even though Jake insists that he will not allow the kids to be influenced by her mother in any way, Jake finds out that Amber is responsible for Corrine who has been assaulted in prison. They both have a change of heart. A very interesting storyline and the characters are very entertaining. Drama, suspense, mystery, love, and happiness. Best til last

Have loved reading Jake & Amber's will they won't they love story it has been full on & more than a few times I never thought we'd see a happy ever after. Everything was looking good until she found out who her birth mother was at the end of the last booking leaving us on a cliffhanger then when we found out who it was it seemed like Corrine was going to come between Amber & Jake again but I was on team Jake not willing to forgive her for what she had put them through but Amber had other ideas. However Corinne did eventually make me come round a little bit & I was desperately hoping she would not cause anymore pain & trouble for Amber & her growing family which left left me a bit surprised as to how the story ended.
Have loved reading this series about Amber & Jake which I definately recommended reading.

What a fantastic series, and an incredible end to it! Amazing writing the whole way through by Avery North. I highly recommend this one, but especially following the first five in the series.

Amber and Jake have a fantastic (and steamy) relationship throughout, and it all comes to a beautiful close at the end of this book, through a whole lot of very interesting twists and turns and things no one sees coming - after they have adopted their three sons (Adam, Stevie and Timmy), Amber has had their baby girl, Corrine has come to live with them after being released from prison into Amber's custody (for good behavior, and recovering from an incident upon leaving lockup), move into a beautiful new home... and they all live happily ever after!

Family Ties . . .

I can’t believe it, but we have made it to the exciting conclusion of Jake and Amber's story. At this point, they are married. They have adopted the three boys, Adam and his best friends Stevie and Timmy; Amber is also pregnant with their new baby on its way.

Amber had been trying to find who her birth mother was. She finally has a DNA match and the reader will be shocked to find out who she is! Jake wants her to stay far away of the toxic people, but Amber is pushing for closure she needs. Can their relationship endure these final roadbumps? Would Jake dare to leave her after all they have been through? Grab your copy and soak up every page as the loose ends are tied up and we can sigh in relief… maybe?

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! Sometimes you ask questions you really don’t want or need the answers to…Amber asked questions that she didn’t like the answer to but made her grow. Amber and Jake. They certainly have had their share of ups and downs as a couple. They have weathered each and everything that was thrown their way. After learning who her birth mother is and going against her husband wishes to get answers where does it leave them, more hurdles to jump or can they finally have peace and happiness?

This is the 6th book in this intriguing series and is a continuation of Jake and Ambers’ journey. Amber has just received new of who her birth mother is, and she is shocked to the core, while Jake is determined to keep her aunt away from their children, and he will do whatever he must to protect his family and keep them safe. Amber finds herself needing answers and goes behind Jake’s back to get them. Will the challenges they face become too much for their relationship to survive? This is a well written story which is filled with emotions, family, twists, trust, secrets, forgiveness, intrigue, and love, which leads to an addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed reading, Together: Fight For Love Series Book 6 by Avery North because it was such a fantastic story about Amber and Jake. They certainly have had their share of ups and downs as a couple. They have weathered each and everything that was thrown their way. I wasn't sure how everything would work out for the two of them, but I am so glad that I read this series. It kept me so emotional in reading this last story in the series. When you are together in love, you really do have everything. I would highly recommend reading this series and this book. I was such a wonderful story.

Amber has gotten her DNA test back and is shocked. She shows up it to Jake and so is he. He wants her to stay away from Corinne to protect them and their family. But Amber wants answers about her life. Jake wanted her to leave it alone and she agrees. But then goes behind his back as she needs answers. She sees her and gets them and tells Jake he’s upset about that she saw her but can’t do anything about it. Things start happening and things can change everything but will Amber and Jake go along with it. They want a happy family so will it work out?

After the shock of finding out who her birth mother is, Amber makes a promise to Jake that she can't keep. There are so many surprises, mostly good ones. The book also shows the ability to change (on the part of multiple characters), true regret for past bad deeds, forgiveness, and so much love. The biggest thing that I love about Amber and Jake is that they don't go to bed angry, working things out without placing blame or pointing fingers at each other. This series has been a roller coaster ride of emotions, and I'm glad to see this new family together where they belong. The last book of this storyline is a real game changer. DNA results are in and Amber is pregnant again, and her aunt Corrine is finally in jail. Loved the characters through this story and watched them deal with so much. Getting answers as well as more upsetting changes happen. The author does not leave things alone at all, right up to the end. You will not believe all that happens in such a short time. Jake and Amber do add to their family in the ending. Hooked on this story and can not wait to binge read it all together.

I have loved this series from the start. Avery North is a truly amazing author. The story had the ups and downs and finally coming together. The suspense of Amber wanting to find her birth mother. Jake being so protective of Amber and the kids. Again the storyline was so intense and the characters so well developed and entertaining. The story had it all with the drama, suspense, love, and at the end a HEA. I highly recommend reading this from the start of the series to the very end. I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I have.

What a wonderful series I have just finished reading by this author.
The story just flowed from one book to the next.
All the characters worked so well together.
And I had a great connection with them as well.
you do wonder what is going to happen with a particular character in the book, but it all works out very well for them all.
I can highly recommend this series to others that are over the age of 18+

Amber has found out that Corrine is her birth mother, Jake doesn't agree with Amber when she goes to the prison to get some answers from Corrine.
Shortly after that meeting Amber is informed Corrine has been stabbed and is in ICU.
After leaving the hospital Corrine is also released early from prison, but into Amber's care.
Can Corrine convince Jake that she's a changed person and will Amber and Jake finally get the calm, normal family life they've fought for.

This is the exciting conclusion to the Fight for love series. Amber and Jake are hit with another curveball when Amber finds out who her birth mother really is. Jake is furious, but Amber wants answers in order to move on. Will Amber and Jake get their happily ever after? Or will this be be enough to make Jake walk away? A great conclusion to Amber and Jake’s journey. I highly recommend this complete series.

Together is the final book in the Fight For Love Series which concludes the saga of Amber and Jake. Amber’s news of being adopted finds her questioning her past and submitting to DNA testing. The results of the test is shocking to the couple but they each have differing opinions as to what Amber should do about the news. Corrine is injured in prison and Amber finds her aunt is to be released under her custody. This well written series and book ends in a dramatic and surprising way.

Yes, I read them all just to see how awful it could get.

Slight spoiler: Timeline does not make sense in complete story. Author killed an off-page character in one installment but later did not die. Just walked away. Author could not even be bothered to remember what was written earlier.

To me, it seems like a money grab to get a poorly written book broken up in installments to cash in. If I did not have KU, and therefore cost already paid, I would have definitely stopped after first installment.

This is of course just my opinion and may not reflect anyone else's experience.

Avery North has wrapped up Amber and Jake's story in this book. As you know from the last book Amber is pregnant and they have adopted three boys Adam and his two best friends, Stevie and Timmy. Amber is also about to find out if she has a DNA match and found her mom. There is a lot going on in this book as the storyline finishes itself out. Be sure to read the other books before you read this one.

Well, that certainly didn't end the way I thought it would. I always knew Jake and Amber would get their HEA but not welcoming certain people into their family. What a turn of events and of forgiveness shown. They are better than me because I don't know if I would do that the way they did. Jake was a good man for sure. There's a sprinkling of colorful words here and there.

What a wonderful ending for a great series. This series was full of drama, trauma, deceit, anger, blackmail, loving, caring, and forgiveness. I recommend you read the book in order to get the complete understanding of what happened between Jake and Amber and how they finally got everything they ever wanted in life after all the bumps and curves they survived. I recommend this book and the series.

I made it!

Well, I finally got to the end of this series, and I have to say, it just really isn't for me. There were a few annoying inconsistencies in the story, and it was all really just too much. However, the ups and downs and twists and turns were entertaining, and I can see that there will be a lot of people who enjoy this soap opera style of writing.

Great conclusion to this seriously good series...
Gosh, just when you're recovering from a revelation you probably didn't see coming the heroine decides to forgive & forget. The hero is not so trusting but eventually relaxes & they can get on with their lives. Their baby girl arrives, the boys & gran adore her so they get married at last & possibly have a bun in the oven on their return from their honeymoon. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

I absolutely enjoyed the ending of this series. I wasn’t sure if they were going to make it from what was happening on the first page. I couldn’t put it down it was so awesome. To have a love like Jake and Amber have is amazing. I loved all the surprises, changes, and so much love, I totally recommend this book, you won’t be disappointed, with all the love these two have to share.

This was a great ending to this series. A lot of secrets are revealed while Jake and Amber go through a few ups and downs. As Jake and Amber find their HEA there is forgiveness and healing as they become one big happy family. I really enjoyed the way this series ended. It was great to see Amber and Jake grow together, learn to communicate better and find a way to move on from past mistakes.
