Incomplete click bait

I dislike authors selling or giving away incomplete books and expecting the reader to buy the next book(s) in the series to get to the answers. Not recommended.

Why Me?

Good question. Why do I take offense at profaning that which is sacred or crude language? It’s because there is better literature available!

“Turning a blind eye to something you know is wrong but can’t control doesn’t make you innocent.” “But I couldn’t stop it. I didn’t have a choice! You don’t know how bad I wanted to do something.” “You always have a choice. You just didn’t make the right one. And now you’ll have to pay.”

Gripping! Why Me… is the first book of the Last Words series. An introduction to the characters, that lead us through the stories of those they’ve lost. With a common factor, they want answers to the many questions that plague them. Where are they? What happened to them? Who did this and Why? Although their lives will never look the same they hope to find some inner peace. This book was a page turner and had me putting pieces of the puzzle together late into the night.

Two missing girls and a body all connected to one name Ronald Collier the owner of a talent management company. These people live together, emitting vibes of how we see the playboy bunny mansion portrayed. Creepy old men, young girls, parties, drugs and sex all controlled behind a security gate. Police investigations went cold and the blame was placed onto the shoulders of a journalist. A drunken slur puts a new spin on the case, FBI Agent Ethan Charles enters to see what he can find out whilst hoping he gets answers of his own.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "WHY ME". This is an on the edge of your seat start to this great new series full of mystery, suspense, intrigue, angst, secrets, lies, betrayal, twists that make for a very addicting read.
Kevin Delaney contacts Agent Ethan Charles FBI a friend of his to investigate a missing girl for Thomas Asher a Cop friend of his its his sister he thinks she's caught up in sex trafficking.
Sarah Green a reporter who was engaged to Thomas Asher till he cheated on her, she wrote a story about Starr Asher the case went cold because a cop Halloway did nothing to find out what happened so they blamed it on the reporters story.
Sarah & Ethan meet over a video posted about another girl gone missing Cassie Ryan & he's looking for his fiancé Katherine all these GIRLS have a connection to Roald Colliers who was the owner of a talent management company.
I definitely recommend to get this riviting interesting book so much happens, so many secrets at the Collier mansion there is definitely something not right going behind the scenes it ends in a cliffhanger can't wait for next book. AWESOME READ!!!!!

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in the new series, Last Words. In this book, Ethan is an FBI agent who was between cases when a friend called and told him about a cop whose sister went missing. The case was similar to Ethan;s missing fiance, so he decided to go to investigate. While there, Ethan met Sarah, a reporter who was trained as a cop, but is raising her sister after their parents died. Sarah came into the police station with a video of a young woman being shot and wanted to see if they thought it was real. Ethan decided to look into the video and Sarah asked if she could partner with him for the story. So far their investigation took them to a common place among the missing women and things are heating up. I really enjoyed this book. I like Ethan and Sarah together. I think they make a great team. I don't really know who to trust yet. I have many theories and i can't wait to see how things play out.

A mysterious video of a young girl getting murdered had Sarah at the police station. Ethan was also there and by chance chased her down to take a look at the video. Now they are trying to figure out if it's been tampered with, who the girl is and locate her body.

Thomas Asher is a cop and his sister Starr went missing before the video with the murdered girl happened. He is seeing the woman who is in charge of the mansion Starr was staying in due to her contract with them. He is determined to find out where his sister is at and what happened.

This has mystery, suspense, secrets, manipulation and so much more. This book grabs your attention from beginning to the very end. Well written plot and the characters are intriguing. This does end with a surprise ending and will make you excited to read the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed these new characters. Agent Ethan Charles is an FBI agent who went to LA between cases to help the cold case of a friend but at the same time, look into the disappearance of his girlfriend as there may be a connection. While at the local police station, he meets policeman Thomas Asher, whose sister Starr Asher has also disappeared. Ethan meets Thomas’s ex Sarah Greene, who is a journalist. She was at the police station to show a video being circulated of a girl being murdered. The two of them set off to work on the case. I enjoyed meeting these two characters, especially Agent Charles. I hope to read more with him in it. Of course the sexual tension between him and Sarah is always welcome too…

I received a free copy in exchange of an honest review.

I just started reading the Last Words Series. The book is about an FBI Agent, Ethan Charles who comes to L.A. to investigate the case of a missing girl, who's brother happens to a police officer. While there at the police station Ethan meets Sarah Green, who works as a writer for a small newspaper. Sarah has a video of a young women being murdered which she shares with Ethan. This starts a professional relation between Ethan and Sarah when she asks to help in the case. Two years ago Ethan's fiancee,Katherine, disappeared while in L.A. Not only Katherine missing but Officer Asher's sister Starr has gone missing and now the murder of Cassie Ryan. Are these three young women connected in some way. There are six books in the series to read to find the answer.

Thrilling Thriller
It's a very good start to the series, mixing thriller, drugs, sex around a shady rich man and his acolytes, while a journalist Sarah, and Ethan, an FBI agent, try to discover the origins of a murder that always brings them back to the same suspects. Added to this is Thomas, Sarah's ex who works in the police force, and whose sister is missing. The whole gives a story full of twists, clues, and especially a cliffhanger that leaves even more possibility for the future parts.

Started off another great mystery series

Sarah, a journalist, stumbles on Ethan, an FBI agent, when she heads into the precinct to report a potential murder. As the story progresses a partnership is agreed on, the story twists, and the pieces of the puzzle keep moving not allowing for a clear picture to form. W.L. Knightly has started off another great mystery series leaving the reader guessing. I can’t wait to see what kind of plot twists and roadblocks that Sarah and Ethan will face.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Great beginning to another mystery series by W. L. Knightly. Ethan is a FBI agent whose fiance went missing two years ago, never to be seen again. Sarah is a reporter and the ex-fiance of the brother of another girl who has disappeared. The brother, Thomas, thinks there is human trafficking involved. Then a video of a girl being viciously murdered is seen on a dubious website. Are they all connected--Ethan thinks so. Thus begins this investigation and this series. Really good read with a little romance thrown in. As always, looking forward to more. W. L. Knightly.

Really good highly recommend

Book 1 and what a start to the series.Agent Charles is looking into an officer who is behaving strangely. Ethan is looking for his sister who was missing somebody had to know something. Sarah is a journalist and also a qualified police officer, but due to personal reasons, she didn't join the local police department. Will Agent Charles find the mystery about the missing women, and will Sarah finally get a much needed break. Highly recommend , I can't wait to read the next one.

This was an amazing start to a new series. It sucked you in from the beginning.
The story is about Agent Ethan and journalist Sarah Green.
Ethan fiance disappeared 2 years ago and has never been seen again. When a similar case comes to his attention, he requests permission from his boss to look into this new case. He gets the permission.
Sarah Green is a journalist who has been writing about these disappearances and requests Ethan to let her be involved.
I liked their banter with each other and all the different strands of the story which makes me eager to know more and how the story will evolve.
The dynamic between Ethan and Sarah is interesting too.
The twists are already apparent in this book. I had an inkling about the twist that was revealed at the end of this book from the beginning. It was quite obvious and many readers will have already figured that out. Wonder where this investigation will take both Ethan and Sarah.
There seems to be a tentative romantic angle which is nice.
Great start to a new series by this fabulous author. Cant wait to find out how this story develops.
I received an ARC from the author. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. This is my honest review.

Sarah is looking after her sister as her parents have died and her sister is a bit of a handful, so she’s dealing with her and trying to work to keep money coming in. Ethan is FBI and has been sent to investigate a cold case. Sarah ends up helping him. However Ethan is hiding some information from Sarah. Can’t wait for the next book!

From the very first words on the page, I was hooked. I can already tell that there’s a lot more going on than we’ve been let in on so far, and I’m feeling some similarities to “8mm”. The cases, the relationships, are as tangled as a drunken spider’s web. I’ve only just finished this book, but I’m already anxious to find out how all the pieces will fit together.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

Ethan is an FBI agent that had his fiancé come up: missing two years before. Sara is a LA cop turned journalist that sees a video of a girl being killed that brings Ethan to LA to review it. There are other missing women also and this makes him see that the causes maybe linked to his fiancé’s. Sara and Ethan work together to find clues and see if they can find out what and why this is happening and who is behind it! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Get ready for another series from this author and what a gripping beginning we get to enjoy. This book literally had me glued to my seat from the start. Loved ones are missing, people are dying, people are lying and what is the lodge? This is the only the beginning of a new adventure and I am so looking forward to see where we are headed from here.

love the first in the series.

This was definitely a great start to the series. A suspenseful thriller. There aren’t really twist and turns since it’s pretty straightforward for the time being. Can’t wait to read the second in the series to see how the case progresses. Knightly does a fantastic job. I could see this play out on tv.

More alike then you think,.

Was a really interesting book. Can't wait to read the next one. Just goes to show never judge a person by there attitude because you don't know what they've been through. When it comes to family, you sometimes have to do some things you wouldn't ordinarily do, just to get info that you need.

quick read

There were many grammatical errors. Please look up when to use these phrases bring and take. It is irritating to read a book by an author who does not take the time to look at word usage.

Missing and murdered high price call girls.

A call girl is murdered on video and the FBI starts investigating. All the while, the agent is also looking for two missing call girls.
Story was left incomplete, similar to a cliff hanger on a soap opera.
