I'm just happy to read adversarial doctrine on someone other than the Russians.

The tactics discussed are heavily focused at the Division and Brigade levels. Though certain concepts, such as deception operations, are utilized all he way down to PLAA Platoon formations, and are explored down to that level.

Many PLAA concepts are similar to US Army doctrine, with some notable exceptions that will be found in the text.

One thing I believe is often overlooked, is that the PLAA is not a separate institution from the Chinese Communist Party. It is the armed wing, imagine the Democrat/Republican party having its own army. Therefore every operation and action is inherently political in nature and inseparable. This definitely has its advantages in waging war, since the entire government apparatus, as well as the entire national population, will be synchronized in all military objectives.
