Sebastian is a mystery romance and the fifth book in the series For The Love Of A Good Woman and should be read in order. Stubborn. Bull-headed. Sexy as hell. That was Maggie—the woman I was currently protecting. As the owner of Reed Security, I didn’t go into the field that often, but I was coerced into playing bodyguard for the trouble-making reporter. She didn’t listen to a damn thing I said and was constantly putting herself in danger. This story she was investigating was going to get her killed if she didn’t learn to listen. More troubling was the fact that I was seriously attracted to her and was having a hard time keeping my hands off her. She was a distraction I really needed to avoid if I wanted to keep us both alive.

I liked this book, though it could have been a bit steamier. There were some really funny parts, more suspense and mystery, quite a bit of thriller as well. They investigated more than one dark and abandoned building that may or may not have contained dead bodies and men with guns out to kill.
It was a true investigative storyline with bad guys and worse guys, bodyguards, safe houses, car chases and the everything else. The heroine was a tough gal with sass and Sebastian is an alpha male former Marine badass security guy. What more could you want?
Edge of your seat action. Ex military hero who runs Reed securities is hired by the boss of a reporter working a dangerous story. The two are thrown together and Sebastian seems to find himself pulling Maggie out of a lot of situations. Fast paced, with plenty of sexual tension. Two strong individuals with strong personalities will have plenty of back and forth until they get their HEA.

It's getting harder to refuse a book. I had tried but I couldn't. Lol. I refuse to lose a good reading to get more hours of sleep. Call me crazy but I don't care. I've only been following this lady for a few weeks but they were enough to make me a stalker. Lol. Giulia has a way with words that can make you addicted... Just saying. Been there and done that... Anyway you need to give her a try and start to read For The Love Of A Good Woman series. Just start it and you'll be hooked in a sec. I've already read 4 books and I'm about to embark on the fifth. Sebastian is the next book from this series and Dayum... It explores the lifes of Sebastian and Maggie. Sebastian was a military man that served his time but after an injury he was discharged from duties. After that he created his security firm and this way he could keep protecting people. When he accepted the mission to protect a reporter he couldn't imagine the turn his life would get. Maggie is a reporter that lives and breaths her career. She's used to do things her way and doesn't take no for an answer. When she puts her mind in one thing it might be impossible to break her will. When she start persuing a story she couldn't even guessed... Jesus... What was this? I'm amazed... Great plot, well written, super engaging, intense and scary. Let not forget hot too. The chemistry these two share is of chats but they are so stubborn... Jeez. How can two people be like this? There were parts of the story that I laughed so hard but there were others that I was nervous and a bit scared. Suspense was lurking in each page and the need to know more was getting higher and higher. This book presented us with crime, punishment, drama, suspense as well as desire, love, friendship and loyalty. Girls... We have some steamy scenes too. Giulia... You rock. This series is getting better and better and I'm so glad to have Sean's book waiting.
Varbūt autoresprāt, tāda bērnudārznieka uzvedība demonstrēja, cik viņa ir spēēēēēēcīga sieviete un soooo not like oooothers.
Tas būtu vismaz kaut cik ticami, bet tāpat to varētu uzrakstīt seksīgi. Bet cepums autorei, ka vismaz izvēlējās rakstīt pussy, nevis izmantot pārspīlētus poētiskos izteikumus par slapjām, dievišķajām rozēm, maigajām alām un vēl ko neko.
Sebastian, a former military man and owner of Reed Security Systems, finds himself on protection duty for the fiery, independent reporter, Maggie. Hired by Maggie's boss after she finds herself chasing a dangerous story, Sebastian and Maggie are spending a lot of time together and pooling their resources to get to the bottom of her investigation. After Sebastian comes to Maggie's rescue on multiple occasions, the sexual tension amps up, but they lead very different lives in different locations. Will mutual attraction and concern for each other's safety be enough to pull these to back together? Will they get to the bottom of the threats on Maggie's life?
Giulia Lagomarsino's For The Love Of A Good Woman series consists of well written, easy to read books that paint the picture of meeting your soulmate and falling in love. Sebastian and Maggie's story is no exception. AS they work to solve the mystery, you find yourself hoping for a happily ever after ending. Excellent choice.

I loved Maggie & Sebastian's story. It was a fast paced book that kept me on the edge of my seat. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a copy of the book via booksprout.
Well, this is the fifth book of the series, "FOR THE LOVE OF A GOOD WOMAN" and if you've read previously from this author, Giulia Lagomarsino's other stories/series, then you would already know that this is about Sebastian and Maggie, both very independent, stubborn, determined and hard-headed people, who you can clearly see that they are made for one another and have feelings for each other yet they try to push and fight their feelings away.
Luckily, in this story, that won't fly anymore like it did in the previous books/series and many things will happen, both good and bad, don't don't worry, these two strong individuals will get their HEA <3 :)
OMG THIS BOOK IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I now have a toss up between Cole and Sebastian for my all time favorite book! Sebastian is an absolute heart throb! "That's probably a good thing, sweetheart." "Don't call me sweetheart. I'm not your sweetheart or any other endearment." "Maybe I should call you Gingersnap." "I said not to call me anything. You can call me Maggie." "Of course, you don't really have a ginger color. Maybe 'Red' would be better." "No." "No, you're right. You're not really a redhead either." "How about you stick with Maggie?" "I could call you Freckles.." "I don't have freckles." "Yes, you do. Now that your makeup has worn off a little. I can see those cute freckles poking through." "Maybe I should call you strawberry. You are strawberry blonde, after all." "Can't you just let this go?" "The guys will be naming you if I don't. Better to let me name you, otherwise you'll end up with something like 'Fire Crotch'."
Gah this sarcastic man makes my heart melt! He is so emotional and warm hearted! Giulia you have done it once again!
Thanks to the author for ARC in exchange for my honest review.
The story only worth 3.7 stars of mine. The story continues with the reeds security, which related to one of my review previously. The story to me is sort of a bit boring, yes, Maggie is stubborn and sexy but the plot just turns out too predictable. I would say this story worth reading when free time. I guess it's just not interesting enough or me. A bodyguard and a stubborn woman... yea the chemistry of this combination always works out the way they should so nothing really unexpected or so special for me but still not a bad story I would say.
Action and heat! Sebastian was an amazing book. I loved all the action and mystery in it. This is the fifth book in the For the Love of a Good Woman series. I have really enjoyed this series so far. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but the stories are interconnected so to get the full experience I suggest you read the previous books first. This book is a romantic suspense novel. The plot of this book was good. Maggie is a reporter willing to do anything for her story. She has a moral code she follows which includes making sure others are exposed for the sins they commit. What happens when she starts digging too deep into her most dangerous story yet? Sebastian is just trying to run his company the best he can. He doesn’t have time to provide protection to the reporter personally. He would much prefer have his team do it. What happens when he gets caught up in this web that Maggie has created? Maggie is such a strong character. I love how she is able to push her fears aside and do what she needs to do in order to settle her soul. I really like her morals. She is more than a reporter. She wants the truth. Then you have Sebastian. He is an alpha through and through. I really liked his back story. I was interested to see how it would turn out with our resident king of protection. The chemistry between these two was instant. It didn’t present itself as just chemistry at first though. It was also coming off as hatred. You know what they say though? There is a fine line between love and hate. When these two get more than they bargained for with the story, passions flare and things change. I loved the heat in this book. The writing style of this book was good. I liked the main plot, but I also liked the sub plots. This is a romance novel, but the suspense gave us something else to focus on as well. The pace of the story was good. I really liked how a certain character showed up and redeemed himself. I felt that was really needed for him. All in all, I loved it. Overall, this was a great story. I really liked Maggie, even if at times I thought she was dumb for jumping into things without thinking. I found her to be brave and courageous. I would recommend this book to others. I think we could all use a Sebastian to look out for us. I can’t wait for the next book. Ratings: Plot: 5/5 Characters: 5/5 Heat: 5/5 Writing Style: 5/5 Overall: 5/5
The fifth book in this series has a little bit of everything for the different kinds of romance readers. In ‘Sebastian’ Giulia mixes romance with action, humour and mystery to create a book that will keep your attention until you finished and maybe even after.
Sebastian and Maggie were fantastic together. Their chemistry is there from the beginning disguised as hatred but then morphs into a fun and flirty dialogue with scenes that are both enjoyable and funny. I adored the back and forth between the main characters. The attraction develops quickly into wanting to see where things go between them then to love and what a ride they are on whilst it does.
There is a lot of high-stake drama taking place in this book and with the clash of Sebastian’s and Maggie’s approach to such situations it certainly keeps you, and the characters, on the edge of your toes but does a wonderful job of showing that these two opposites are each other’s perfect match. Giulia also weaves in some more difficult topics that relate to events in previous instalments of this series and in doing so gives these characters more depth and brings something new to the plot.
Having read The Reed Security series this book is very similar in the sense of high-stake action and humour and how Giulia combines these is one of my favourite things about that series, so I loved this book. Though knowing how this series is set before that, it provides a great insight into how The Reed Security series will unfold for the new reader. For me however, it gave me a greater understanding of Maggie and Sebastian’s relationship and deeper insights into things I’ve read in The Reed Security Series.
I loved this addition to the ‘For The Love Of A Good Woman’ series and look forward to seeing where Giulia goes next.
Sebastian is the owner of Reed Security, but doesn't go out in the field much anymore, preferring to stay in the office to take care of everything. However, that all changes when he's asked to protect a journalist named Maggie, who immediately becomes a big pain in his behind. See, she's come across a story that in the first 24 hrs of investigating, two attempts on her life have been made. So he becomes her bodyguard, and it's one hell of a journey, since on one hand, he wants her badly, but on the other, he wants to choke her out at times because of her crazy recklessness. So yeah, they had serious chemistry which was HOT HOT HOT, and having to be around each other every day, it exploded into sexy times that tried to set the sheets on fire. Their interactions were hilarious as well, since Maggie is a pro at finding trouble even knowing her life is in danger. Then there's the cast of secondaries added in, and since this is a mystery, they make up the good, bad, and the down right ugly, so at times, I wasn't sure who was the good guy. The excitement kept me on the edge of my seat, since there was plenty of action, and my heart raced a lot throughout. I cannot say this enough, the hysterically funny moments had me laughing hard, while some very intense angst hit out of the blue. Giulia Lagomarsino is so talented that I've loved every book that I've read by her, and CANNOT WAIT for more! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Title: Sebastian (For The Love Of A Good Woman #5) Author: Giulia Lagomarsino Genre: Contemporary Romance/Mystery Thriller Rating: 5/5
Ms Lagomarsino takes us on another intense and highly thrilling adventure with this, her latest instalment in the “For The Love Of A Good Woman” series.
This time it’s Sebastian or as I like to call him Seb’s turn at finding his perfect woman who happens to end up being a client of his, his security firm well him in particular is hired to watch over Maggie a journalist who’s working on the mother of all stories that just so happens to put her life and those around hers life’s in danger. Together they end up on a wild and thrilling journey uncovering truths and bringing wrong-doings to light, all that whilst giving into some seriously hot chemistry and falling in love.
This book had it all, mystery, suspense, action, humour and heat. This author just keeps getting better and better, I cannot wait for the next book.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Sebastian is book five in the For the Love of a Good Woman series, and TBH he was one of the ones I was looking forward to reading about. Sebastian runs a security firm and is hired to protect Maggie, a reporter whose story may be the death of her. Maggie stumbled onto a huge story, and she would not be a good reporter if she didn't try and get the scoop, even with bullets being fired all around her. When her boss hires Sebastian, the last thing Maggie needs is someone that is going to impede her progress with this story, but given no choice she is dragged along with Sebastian while he tries to keep her safe. The only issue is that Maggie doesn't like to follow orders, and feels that she is just fine without him.... but is she really?
So this was a good story, with lots of action, drama, good naughty times. I loved seeing the whole gang, they bring lots of laughs when they are together. I give this 4 stars.
I really enjoyed this book!! First I strongly recommend you read this series in order as characters and backstory run through each book and it helps you understand the characters and the storyline!! That being said Sebastian is book #5 in Giulia Lagomarsino's For the Love of A Good Woman series!! This is Sebastian and Maggie's story!! Sebastian is the owner of Reed security so he spends most of his time in the office not out in the field!! Maggie is a strong willed, stubborn and tenacious reporter so they are complete opposites but like they say "opposites attract" and that is so true for them!! This book has everything the characters have amazing and instant chemistry, there is mystery, action, heat and some seriously hysterically funny LOL moments!! They say that there is a fine line between love and hate and in this case that line is straddled alot!! Absolutely a fantastic read and series I highly recommend it!!
This book is about Maggie, an investigative reporter for the Pittsburgh Press, and Sebastian ("Cap"), who is the owner of the Reed Security company. Sebastian is hired by Darren Hughes, the newspaper's editor, to guard Maggie since she is working on a story about political corruption and is in danger. I have to say that I have never read a romance book in which the heroine is almost killed so many times, but Sebastian keeps saving her life. There are several great chase scenes - by car and on foot - and also several great sex scenes as Maggie and Sebastian find themselves intensely attracted to one another. The big question is whether they can stay together and find true love and an HEA after Sebastian's assignment is over. I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy romance and action/adventure. Since there are other books related to this one, readers will have a lot to enjoy!

What temperaments and what fire! Very good story, very well written. I loved these extremely courageous and bold characters to uphold what is right. They have a fiery temperament, sometimes excessive. The story lacks neither romance nor action. Very good mixture. Maggie is a reporter and investigates the mayor of Pittsburgh when she discovers his financial malpractices. Very quickly this one tries to eliminate her. She's under the protection of Sebastian and his security agency, but she's extremely stubborn and unpredictable, the exact opposite of what Sebastian needs to protect her. Many actions, threats, some hot scenes and very good dialogues. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Sebastian: A Mystery Romance by Giulia Lagomarsino. This is the 5th book in the For the Love of a Good Women series. I have been waiting to read Sebastian and Maggie’s story, I love the chemistry and dialogue between these two. I thought this was a great story, one that you can fall into and be hooked for hours. I’m not overly fond of mysteries (I like to be able to anticipate what’s is going to happen) but I had a hard time putting this one down, so I could actually get some work done (work is overrated, right!). Overall, I enjoy the author’s attention to detail and dual POV story telling with this series and I recommend this to others.

Reporter Maggie needs protection so her boss hires Sebastian Reed. After getting information that all is not right in the Mayor Office reporter Maggie goes snooping and find men shooting at her then later a flash bang is thrown through her window so her boss insists on protection and hires Sebastian Reed. Maggie fights and argues but protection she gets even if she keeps ignoring what she is told for her safety. As they start to dig deeper more gunmen appear and when Maggie's source disappears and is thought dead it becomes clear that this is a deep rooted conspiracy.Meanwhile Maggie and Sebastian get closer. An intriguing romance to relax and enjoy. .

Maggie is insane. She is so crazy just spending time with her will make you go crazy also or want to kill her as Cap goes through time and time when he finds himself acting as her close protection. I really enjoyed reading this beginning to their relationship. I actually read the second book in the Reed Security series before this one so reading this one second instead of first made it really interesting. It was great to learn the journey these two took to get where they ended up. They have been through a lifetime of crazy in a short amount of time. I highly recommend both the For the Love of a Good Woman and Reed Security series. They are worth your time and money.

What do we find Maggie doing at the beginning of this book? What happens? O….. M….. G….!! This book is HILARIOUS!!! I got a really great feel for Maggie's brand of crazy reckless in this book. Holy Smokes! While things do get crazy stressful for Maggie in this book, we get a great feel for her and I understand her better now from what I have read of her in the Reed Security Series, which follows this series. I understand her Nickname better and her love of all things that go BOOM! Enjoy this read! If I could have given this book more than 5 stars, I would have!
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin' With M. Brennan.
While the plot was actually good and the story had good flow, the female main character, Maggie, was AWFUL! She was the most selfish, overbearing, bratty, annoying, unlikable character I've ever come across in all my decades of reading! I honestly couldn't fathom why on earth the love interest, Sebastian was even remotely interested in her! All they did was fight and try to get themselves out of the trouble she repeatedly got them into because she was selfish and stubborn and just wanted to do what she wanted to do regardless of the fact it put other people in danger. Maggie almost got her and Sebastian killed numerous times because she refused to listen and seemed incapable of learning from her mistakes.
This is the 5th book in this phenomenal series, and is Sebastian and Maggie’s story. Sebastian is the owner of Reed Security, and prefers his office job to being out in the field. Maggie is a reporter, who will go to great lengths to investigate a story, and when she digs a little too deep she puts herself in serious danger. Sebastian ends up as her bodyguard in order to keep her protected. The chemistry between these two is explosive. This is a well written flawless story, which is filled with action, mystery, suspense and love. I was completely hooked and intrigued throughout, and cannot wait to read more from this talented author, and I highly recommend her work for all readers!
I read this book first before moving on with Cap in the Reed Security series and I am glad I did. I have absolutely loved Maggie and her desire to drive Sebastian absolutely freaking nuts! I also love the familial relationship that develops between Maggie and Sinner, although Sebastian does not find this as funny and as entertaining as we do. Obviously, with Maggie and Sebastian's story not ending in this book, it does not make it any less of a good book. In fact, it provides a few extra layers to the continuing story in Cap. This book does have a decent ending to it but not all the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed in this round.
Maggie is a reporter for the newspaper and is investigating a mayor who isn't on the up and up. She is threatened and then her editor hires Sebastian to provide protection. As she turns up more info while investigating she is threatened more and there are attempts on her life. Maggie is ambitious and doesn't want to stop her investigative work. They end up going to a safe house and while there chemistry fills the air and they begin a steamy romance. Plenty of action in this story, and the romance between the two was an added bonus!

Another 5+ star rating! I love this series and the well written storylines that flow along keeping you on the edge of your seat. The characters are strong, intelligent, dominant, sexy as hell, feisty and absolutely intriguing. Sebastian and Maggie fight and disagree with one another constantly. She doesn’t stop to think about her safety and just goes with her instincts, while Sebastian is trying to protect and keep her alive. There is lots of drama, humor, angst, suspense and mystery all rolled up Into this romance. A MUST read.

Sebastian 'Cap' Reed is the boss of Reed Security and a real 'hotty'... he's personally assigned to protect Maggie a journalist who likes to get herself into all sorts of trouble when she's covering a story, but this time her life is a risk. Cap likes to do things by the book but Maggie likes to do things her way and this makes them clash, but along with winding each other up there is also a lot of attraction between them. Can Cap keep Maggie safe and still have a relationship as well or is Maggie just to much of a loose cannon for him... There is plenty of action in this book along with romance and plenty of laughs as you follow their story.
This is the fifth book in the "Love of a Good Woman" series and they just seem to be getting better and better. In this one we meet Maggie and Sebastian. Of course Maggie is a reporter who will go to any length to get her story and out a wrong doer. That's how she always finds herself in sticky situations. Sebastian is just trying to run is business and can't personally protect every client but somehow Maggie pulls him into the situation. Once again, Giulia Lagomarsino has taken us on a romantic mystery with drama, angst, and adventure. I'm glad I caught up with this one. Now, I would tell everyone else DON'T MISS IT!
I received this book for an honest review. Another excellent book by Giulia Lagomarsino. I loved the connection between the two main characters, they had some light hearted moments and some extense ones! I could not put the book down. I really enjoyed seeing the members of Sebastian team, even the employee who caused all the problems for Cole and Alex. This book was filled with action, excitement and humor. This was an excellent read and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I can't wait to read more from this author!
