She also writes about the bond we have with dogs using her pen name, Casey Wilson. Tammy is known for creating perfect escapes, unforgettable characters, and binge-worthy series.
When Tammy isn't working on ideas for a novel, she's spending time with family and friends or supporting her addiction to books and chocolate. She and her husband have one grown son and a spoiled golden retriever.
Paige lived in Boston with her husband. After he died in an accident she moves back to Linden Falls to live with her mom and help her at the bookstore she owns. Paige is looking forward to future plans with her mom and is devastated when her mom died unexpectedly. At first she isn't sure what do but decides to stay in town to take care of her mother's bookshop. She thinks that the Wishing Tree is only folklore but when she finds one of the wishes in her dog's wet fur, she decides to do what she can to grant the wish. When the local nursing home calls, Paige finds out that her mom had been going there weekly with her service dog to spend time with the residents. She decides to try it one time with plans not to go back but is so thrilled with the residents love for the dog, she decides to continue going weekly in memory of her mom.
Paige is a fantastic character and this book brought me to tears several times. It's a story of love lost and found and a story of finding happiness by helping other people. It's a great addition to this series.
I am loving these interconnected books in The Wishing Tree series by a whole host of fabulous authors! Wish again is Tammy L. Grace's input into the exploration of the residents of Linden Falls, and this time we are learning about Paige, who returned to her childhood home, after the awful death of her husband, to the comfort of her mother and the bookshop she runs. More unfortunate events tear Paige up, but every cloud has a silver lining, as they say, and Linden Falls also has a Wishing Tree. Even though Paige isn't a believer, a wish happens upon her and she ends up making it come true for someone else, and with that as a catalyst, she ends up finding many new things to do with her time, as well as rediscovering old passions and a new found love for her illustrator job. A wonderful addition to the series, and Gladys, her dog is just fabulous!
I love each book in this series more and more. These characters of this book were so special and talk about scrumptious food mentions! A perfect quaint town with good friends and a lot of caring people. Start reading about a special place in Vermont called Linden Falls; you won’t be sorry.
Wish Again is fast-paced with lots of memories, reminisces, the Wishing Tree, small town life and drama, businesses, losses, love and a happily ever after that was sweetly portrayed. This is Paige and Reed's story and we learn how the loss of her mother affects her. She's had other losses and sorrows in her life too and they have shaped her. With a nice support system, some of it unexpected, she can overcome some of her grief and go on with her life.
I liked how the older generation was portrayed and how nice it was to reconnect with some of the characters we've met in previous books in this series - all written by different authors. The small businesses are woven throughout and we get the flavor of the town and how they support one another. Gladys is a sweet therapy dog who seems to know who needs her affection at any given time. The story had a nice flow and closure. There's a lot more stories to tell and I can't wait to read the next book in the series, Workout Wishes and Valentine Kisses. Ms. Grace is a fairly new to me author, only having read one other book she's written. I look forward to reading more of her sweet tales.
Book four in The Wishing Tree Series is written by Tammy L. Grace who introduces us to Paige who arrives in Linden Falls after the death of her husband. This small town with the beautiful linden tree at its center was her childhood home and seems to be the perfect place to heal and recover. And what makes it even more perfect is the quaint bookstore that her mother has lovingly managed over the years where lifelong friendships are made and ultimately kept. Gladys, a fiesty golden retriever that definitely has no problem making friends, also features prominently in this book. This is a fast read, just a couple of hours, and the story therefore, by design, moves very quickly. Of the stories I've read so far in this series, this one seemed to unfold at a faster pace than the others. But all of these installments, thirteen so far, are novellas, meant to be short and satisfying, meaning that I can easily read each of them in one sitting if I want. Or I can enjoy them a snippet at a time. Each book is very affordable too which makes it even better.
This is book #4 in the delightful Wishing Tree series. Once again, some of the characters in the previous books make an appearance
Paige moved back home to Linden Falls, Vermont, several months earlier upon the death of her husband, Danny. She moved in with her mother, Margot and helped her run the family owned bookstore. What a shock it was to Paige and her brother Jed when their mother unexpectedly dies in her sleep. Now it's just Paige and Gladys, her mother's beloved dog who is certified as a therapy dog.
Paige finally pulls herself together several days after the funeral and reopens the bookstore, and receives a call from Aspen Grove, the care center and assisted living facility where Margot and Gladys volunteered asking if she'd be able to continue keeping the schedule of visits with Gladys. Paige didn't think she could bring herself to visit a care center after Danny had bee in a similar facility.
Although Margot found great pleasure in seeing the Wishing Tree out of her window, Paige didn't feel the same about the tree and certainly doesn't believe the wishes come true. However, on a rainy day Gladys comes inside with leaves and a wish from the Wishing Tree stuck to her wet fir. The wish asked for a friend for Hazel, the writer's mom, who had to be admitted to Aspen Grove, while he, Robert, went back to Boston. Paige, despite her reluctance to visit Aspen Grove felt compelled to take Gladys to visit the residents and to stop in to see Hazel.
This is a beautiful, heartfelt story of friendship, second chances and how reaching out to meet the needs of others can actually bring healing to those providing the help and support. Every book so far in this beautifully written series has captured my heart from the beginning.
Tammy L Grace brings us the fourth book in The Wishing Tree Series named Wish Again. If you have read anything in the past from Tammy Grace, you know she brings out all of the feels in her books. You know you are going to need a box of tissues, comfy clothes and a chair that hugs you while you read. I guarantee you will not put this book down once you start it.
By this time we have met several of the residents in Linden Falls. Each book brings us a new set of folks or we learn more of the circumstances of the ones we’ve met. Paige has come home to live with her mom and help her with the bookstore on the town square. I just love this town. The town square surrounds the huge Linden tree at the center. The tree is believed to grant wishes.
Tammy always has a dog in her books and this one has a wonderful dog named Gladys. She is a trained therapy dog and also pretty much has the run of the town square. She is one of those dogs that knows and loves everyone. She is known to make her daily trip around the square visiting all of her friends. If you have ever had a Golden Retriever you know that they are such gentle souls and we see that in Gladys.
If you haven’t started this series yet, I really encourage you to pick up the first book The Wishing Tree. It is FREE! You will be able to read the first chapter of the first six books. By the time you are done you won’t be able to wait to read the full books. There are the original seven and they have added another six for a total of thirteen. Wow! I love a series I can bury myself in and get involved in all the wonderful residents of a small town. What could be better than that? I get all giddy when I pick up the next book in the series. I hope you do too!
I’m really enjoying this series of books each contributed by a different author. All of these authors write wonderful stories on their own and this series is also great. Wish Again is written by Tammy L. Grace. Having read her books before I know she almost always adds an adorable dog or two to the story. We return once again to Linden Falls, VT. This time we are introduced to Paige (and her mother’s dog Gladys) and Reed, a former childhood friend. Both have dealt with some heartbreak and grief, but now they have returned to Linden Falls, one to help with an aging parent and the other to heal from the death of a spouse. My favorite part actually turned out to be how the author handled the stories of a couple characters who are elderly and move to assisted/senior living. Having had a parent who went through this, it was a very moving part of the book and handled so well. This is a great series and this book another wonderful addition to it.
This book…and this whole series so far, has been delightful! This one features Paige who returns to Linden Falls after the death of her husband. She is helping her mother run the bookshop when her mother dies unexpectedly. As she is reeling from the losses, she is asked about bringing her mother’s dog, Gladys, to visit the residents at Aspen Grove. She hesitates but then finds a wish from the Wishing Tree in the dog’s wet fur. The request was simple and Paige took it to heart. This story has all the emotions, some well developed and realistic characters, and a wonderful happily ever after! Don’t miss it! I received an advance copy of this book from the author, however, I voluntarily wrote an honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.
Paige struggles to recover from her husband’s death from an auto accident and returns to her hometown where her mother and brother were still living. As the book begins, she is trying to cope with the sudden death of her mother just a few months after her return. Her mother owned a book store located in her house that Paige is now keeping open. Her mother also had a Golden Retriever named Gladys who helps Paige reconnect with life through therapy visits to an assisted living home and a second chance at love. I love how these authors worked together so that some characters from other books carry seamlessly into each book.
Tammy L Grace has done it again! The fourth book in the Wishing Tree series, is just as captivating as the others, I read it in less than 24 hours because I just couldn’t put it down. No spoilers here, I don’t think they are fair. This book follows Paige Duncan who left Linden Falls after school, finds love and happiness to have it destroyed when her husband dies following an accident, she returns home to her mother to recover and … what happens next is for you to discover as you read this wonderful, uplifting book. Enjoy! I’m now waiting for the next book in the series to be released. Happy reading!
Paige looses her husband and moves back to Linden Falls to live with her Mom. Then she also loses her Mom. Paige finds herself on a new path that shows her how love for a golden retriever and new and old friends can heal her heart. Once again we see how wonderful Linden Falls is. The magic of the Wishing Tree shows us how it is so magical. You will not be disappointed by the wishing tree once again.
Wish Again by Tammy Grace is book four in the Wishing Tree series. Her delightful entry is the story of Paige who returns to Linden Falls after suffering a terrible tragedy, only to suffer another tragedy shortly after coming home. Unfortunately for Paige, she no longer believes in the magic of the Wishing Tree. But a bookstore, a dog, some elderly friends and of course the Wishing Tree bring to Paige a second chance at happiness. I received an early copy from the author. I am enjoying this series written by wonderful authors. These comments are my opinion.
What a sweet story! Wish Again by Tammy L. Grace the fourth book in the Wishing Tree series covers a lot of love! The love of a dog, Gladys, who I fell in love with! The love of friends, new love found, love of family and the love a community. It's a definite feel good read which is much needed at this time in our lives. I like reading these series that are written by multiple authors who collaborate to bring us great stories based on a common theme. I bet you can guess what the common theme is!
The Wishing Tree series just keeps getting better with each novel. I absolutely loved Wish Again. This story really resonated with me. I could identify with Paige and her situation and so cheered her on as she started to make her way. A lovely story with wonderful characters. I was sad when the story ended. I hope Paige's story will continue in a future book.
Thank you to the publisher for an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.
Wish Again, book 4, in the Wishing Tree series, by Tammy Grave, is a book that not only delights, but reunites old friendships, forges new friendships, rediscovering oneself and starting over and learning to wish again on the wishing tree, just one more time. Once again, the magical Wishing Tree is still bringing people together in the town of Linden Falls. I give it 5 stars!
This was an excellent story about how the wishing tree works in people’s lives. It is about how Paige found comfort helping two ladies in a rehab facility. It also showed the importance of pets in their lives. Paige finally find the happiness in life that she’s deserves. I like how the epilogue leads the reader to the next book in the Wishing Tree Series.
I so enjoyed the age range of the characters, and the introduction of romantic interest was well onto the book. This is a lovely picture of finding value in, and being valuable to, a whole community instead of just one romantic relationship to fill one's own needs.
This book is a heartwarming story that is full of emotions. The author brings the book to life with her words, and you feel like you are there. I loved how Gladys, the therapy dog, had such a large role in the story and how she helped Paige and others in their time of need. This is a story that will stay with you long after you read the last page. I received a complimentary copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
I am absolutely loving this Series of books. Each one just as much as the next.
Tammy L Grace no doubt has wonderful characters and the ones from the other books previous are present as well and just as wonderful. I would highly encourage you to read the entire series.
I received a copy of this book the author in exchange for fair and honest review.
Another great book in this connected series all centering around the Wishing Tree in Linden Falls! I loved how Tammy L Grace incorporated her love for dogs into the storyline, Gladys is such a huge character in this book and series!
This is the 4th book in the wonderful Wishing Tree series. Just like the previous books, I was pulled in immediately! Paige has been helping her mom run the bookstore in the cozy town of Linden Falls, while still trying to heal from her husband's tragic death. Sadly, her mom, Margot, passes away suddenly leaving Paige to grieve once again. Paige tries to manage the bookstore and care for Gladys, who was the Neighborhood therapy dog that her mom owned. Could Gladys help Paige through her grief? Paige has always been skeptical of the miracles of The Wishing Tree. With the help of Gladys, will Paige be able to find happiness amid all her grief? I can't wait to see what happens next! You can't help but fall in love with the town of Linden.
“You don’t realize how carefree our lives were until you grow up and have to deal with everything”, Paige tells Reed as they enjoy a cup of tea. Tammy L. Grace’s characterizations are so real that you understand their emotions. The wishing tree may not have real powers, but I’m not going to rule it out. Paige, Jed, Reed, Hazel, Florence and the winey widows are all dealing with loss in their own way and the wishing tree just helps it along. I really enjoyed this story and the different ways everyone deals with loss, be it loss of a life or of a way of life, all require change.
This series is so good! This is book four and Paige has moved home after loosing her husband. She’s dealt a double whammy when her mother dies unexpectedly. We follow Paige as she gets back into her life and moving on. This is a quick book, perfect for an afternoon read. On to the next one
This book in the Wishing Tree series tells about Paige’s story. She struggles from the tragic loss of her husband and her mother’s recent death. Paige is determined to continue working at her mother’s small town book shop as she cares for Gladys her mother’s dog
When the local assisted living center reaches out to Paige to continue her mother’s work of visiting with Gladys as a therapy dog, Paige struggles with the decision. When she sees the resident’s reaction, she realizes she must continue the work
As the book progresses, Paige opens herself up to new friends and new changes at the book store. Can she find happiness again?
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion
This one went straight to my heart (sigh). I just wanted to wrap Paige in a huge hug. She desperately needs someone to care. After losing her husband and mother in a relatively short period of time, Paige can barely function. She soldier's on to keep her mother's beloved bookstore open. The magical Wishing Tree stands in the center of town. Her mother believed in the magic of the tree. Paige no longer believes the tree can grant wishes and that it has forgotten her. I loved this book! It is extremely moving and will bring you to tears. It will make you realize how quickly life passes by. One minute you are young and in the blink of an eye the mirror will defy what your mind still believes - you are no longer 30. Where has the time gone! Paige may no longer believe, but The Wishing Tree still has a lot of wishes to grant. Thank you to Tammy L. Grace for this advanced review copy. In return, I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
Paige has lost her husband Danny and now her mother Margot has passed away. How much hurt and heartbreak can she handle? Paige has her mother’s bookstore to open, memories of her mother flood her thoughts. Margot was also taking Gladys a certified therapy dog to Aspen Grove care center to visit. Can Paige continue taking Gladys to visit? Her mother believed in the Wishing Tree being able to grant wishes, but Paige does not. This story brought me to tears and I so wanted to be able to reach out and hold Paige in a hug. A story of second chances, friendship and how sometimes the most unexpected connection can bring healing and comfort.
