A forbidden romance. Della de Basi Mom. Divorcee. Reprehensible human.
Corey Drake Young. Mysterious. Dangerous. Oh, and my son’s friend. The first time I didn’t know. The first time I could be forgiven for. Maybe . The second; definitely not. Third . . . like I said . . . Reprehensible. Human.
He’s right; I’m coiled tight. Untamed . . . and he has his sights set on unleashing me from my own constraints.
A blonde. A brunette. A tea lover. A coffee addict. Two people. One pen name. They're pals, besties if you will, maybe even soulmates. Consider them the ultimate in split personality, exactly the same, but completely different.
They love a good laugh, a strong, dominating alpha, but most importantly, know that friendships, the fierce ones, are the key to lifelong sanity and fulfillment.
Diría yo es tres y medio, me gustó aunque de repente la escritura la sentía medio poética/detallada de una manera rara y creo que en general no había una vibra cohesiva, tipo es una historia corta no hay necesidad de tanta crema a los tacos xd. Pero hey, salieron frases lindas;;
"Nothing learned about it. All about chemistry, baby. Sex ain’t like this with people you lack the right connection with. It’s a spitfire when experienced with the right person.” His eyes meet mine then, boring into me, forcing me to read into his deeper meaning. “If you trust yourself with someone else," he watches me intently, "implicitly, you let your body go places you never imagined. Sex isn't just an act, Della. It's a fucking declaration of deeper feeling.”
“Time, age, circumstance, they’re all inconsequential. Your heart, your body, your fucking soul, they all know when they’ve found what they’ve been searching for.”
Della and Corey are both wickedly Untamed. I'm not usually a novella fan or reader because short reads wind me up and I prefer full length novels. BUT. When I read the blurb for this one, I knew I HAD to have it. New, refreshing, incredibly taboo and forbidden. I loved every second of it. These two both have their heads on straight, for the most part, so it was great to see their wild side. And man, were they hot together. Pure 🔥 Only thing I would say was certain sentences needed editing better, maybe. Not that it impacted my overall reading experience and rating of the book. And I wish it would've been longer and the tropes explored further, because I don't think I've ever read anything with this particular mix which was great. But again, that was a given. Maybe the ending could've been given an extra couple of pages to explore the characters "after" kind of thing. All in all, a great novella. I've read quite a few and it's definitely one of my favourites. Highly recommend to taboo/forbidden romance fans, especially if you enjoy the older woman/younger man trope like me.

A steamy, forbidden age gap romance in a short story. Is it okay for a woman to be with a man sixteen years her junior? What if he’s friends with her son? When the heart wants what it wants…do you embrace it or do you fear the reaction of those close to you? As a wife and mum we put our husbands and children first, but don’t we deserve to be happy too? It’s been too long since Haley Jenner released a book and Untamed came as a pleasant surprise. These girls have a way with words that draw you into the story.
Della sees him in the club, he hasn’t taken his eyes off her all night. He has a dark and dangerous air about him, she’s drawn into his web dancing for him. After hooking up with him she returns home, a little sore but in a cloud of bliss. Imagine her surprise to find Corey sitting in her kitchen the following morning. Untold embarrassment when her son introduces him as his friend Drake who’s come to check out the shed space. OMG is he even legal yet? Corey charms his way back into her bed and resisting him becomes impossible. Will she keep him as a dirty little secret or shout from the roof tops that she is in love?
Quickie Review: This amazing author duo is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I saw this one and knew it would be a quick and easy read between books. But I didn’t realize how much I wouldn’t want it to end. Once I started it, I was absolutely hooked. It was everything sexy and everything beautiful. It also broke my heart. But in the end, they expertly pieced it together back together. I just would have loved a look into their future with an epilogue. But still I was happy none the less. 5 Stars.
A short forbidden romance between a mother and her son’s friend. It was a very short story and I didn’t get enough of a feel for the characters to get into it. Hot sexy scenes from the start and a little drama.
Hot hot hot! Age gap insta-love and 🔥🔥. This was such a great short story. Mom sending son to college. Mom finds her perfect lover, combats her loneliness. But it becomes SO much more. Loved it!
It was a good read , a hotttt read , but it was also a quick read with very little “story” to it … I get it’s a short super hottttt taboo read but I just feel like a little more depth was needed..
This was a good, steamy, quick read. The story was believable and not totally farfetched. I was rooting for all of the characters to get their happy ending and that happened!
