To Catch a Thief

Rate this book
Oliver

To catch a thief... you have to think like a thief.

And Rian Beaumont was my mark.
I’d start by stealing her kisses. But I already knew that wouldn’t be punishment enough.

The only crime I committed was almost stealing her from my brother, and for that, I served my time.

She thought she knew me, but she had it all wrong— I was nothing like my brother. To prove her wrong, I was going to steal her heart and make her mine.

Rian

Oliver Wexler might not have been the one that ruined my life five years ago, but he basically drove the getaway car.

The only thing more dangerous than kissing the enemy... sleeping with the enemy. Good thing I had no intentions of doing either.

But Ollie had a pesky habit of sticking his nose— and his lips--where they didn’t belong. Even though I’ve already learned my lessons about falling for a man like him. Because with a Wexler brother, it was never only your future on the line . . . but your heart too.

Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling author, Nana Malone writes Sexy Feel-Good Romance and loves of all things romance and adventure.

That love started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.

I love this addition to the London Lords gang of characters! Ollie killed me from the prologue and Rian, I felt like that poor girl couldn’t catch a break. The chemistry between them was amazing and I loved the banter between them and the push and pull. The I like you, but I’m going to act like I hate you, was perfect. It was a slow burn but as soon as they caught fire it was hot! There were a few characters that gave me stabby feelings in this book, the main one being Max. I ended this book feeling like I wanted more, however, that is what Nana Malone does best. Leaves you wanting more. I would absolutely recommend this book.

I loved reading this!! Rian and Oliver were amazing characters, their chemistry was 🔥 and I loved reading more about the London Lords. It had a lot of drama, suspense and steamy scenes so I really enjoyed it.

Rian is back in London after some years in the states thanks to being involved with Ollie’s brother Max. She wanted a fresh start but it all crumbled down when she realized Oliver worked in the same place. They had to work together and despite fighting at the beginning they couldn’t deny their past and the feelings they had for each other.

Oliver was wonderful, despite everything that happened with his brother he only wanted to provide for his sister and help her have a future. He tried really hard to forget about the problems he had thanks to his brother, so he was great at his job and he had a lot of people supporting him.

Rian and Oliver had a very strong connection. They had a brief moment together 5 years ago and after all that time apart those feelings didn’t change and it was a matter of time before they acted on their feelings. I loved their banter and pranks at first, they loved teasing each other but still they cared about the other. It was a really great story and I loved how everything ended for them.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Exciting, fast paced, and full of great banter, To Catch a Thief is a fantastic spin off to London Lords, filled with cameos from all my favorite characters.

This book has it all - great characters, intriguing backstories and with a slow burn chemistry that ignites a scorching sizzle, sass and so much action, this book left me wanting more.

To Catch a Thief by Nana Malone is one of the hottest and wittiest enemies to lovers romance I have read in 2021. The sexual and emotional tension almost killed me. And so did the fast paced heart pounding storyline.

Rian Beaumont has come back to London after years and this is her chance for a fresh start. Her dream job at the elite London Lords hotel and an attempt to leave behind the horrors of her past. But then she meets the person she last wanted to see. Oliver. The boy who one changed her life and the man who is dredging up all kinds of secrets and dangers. Ollie doesn't want her to mess up his newly built life either. They have to hate each other but there is too much unresolved emotional issues and sizzling hot attraction between them. And they get tangled into a game of deceptions, heists and violence that they never wanted to play.

Rian and Ollie were a nuclear bomb ready to explode from the first page. They had layers of misunderstanding and years of regrets. They had so much unsaid feels and uncontrolled chemistry. And I was completely lost in their story. Rian has suffered a lot of pain and I am in awe of this brave girl. She is a very strong headed and fierce heroine with moments of vulnerability and uncertainty keeping her real. Ollie has come so far from his dark past and he is one protective alpha for sure. He has an undeniable charm and drool worthy sex appeal. You just cannot ignore his confident personality. He and Rian have been put in an impossible situation and they come together to overcome the obstacles. They went from constant bickering, pranking and pretending to hate each other to trusting and saving each other. The story will keep you at the edge of the seat along with Unlimited sexy times! Rian and Ollie go on so many dangerous missions to take down the person who made their lives a nightmare.

Nana Malone writes unforgettable characters with unforgettable stories. To Catch A Thief is no exception.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I was so excited to receive an early copy of this book and it did not disappoint. It surpassed all of my expectations. From the moment I read the prologue, I knew I’m in for a treat. Ms. Malone had me hooked I could not put the book down. This book had me at the edge of my seat and had me turning page after page because I was desperate to find out what happened next. This was a riveting read, fast paced, full of action, suspense, great banter and steamy, sexy scenes between the two main protagonists. The side characters were also intriguing and made me wanting to know more about their stories. I highly recommend this book and a definite must read.

This book pleasantly surprised me.
This review is going to be a short one, as the blurb gave away nothing of what actually goes on and with who. So I want to keep it that way for everyone else going in.
I will say that long time readers will enjoy especially, even if the couple themselves are new to us.
A lot was packed into this book but trust in this author, you're in for a wild ride and your emotions will be all over the place.
Definitely reccomend and can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

I thought this fast paced, enemies to lovers, suspenseful stand alone was a wonderful addition to the London Lords world! Ollie and Rian had so much combustible chemistry it felt hot to the touch! Loved the witty banter and pranks. These two were perfect for enemies to lovers given their history and I always absolutely love the mystery and suspense angles this author throws in making it so hard to put down. I enjoyed seeing a few characters from previous books, such smart and well put cameos, every time I finish one of Nana Malone books I think 'ok, she's not topping that' and then she does. An amazingly reliable one-click author!

Oliver and Rian have a history and when they are thrown together again for a job, the sparks are undeniable. They quickly turn to a frenemies role but can’t deny the strong connection they share. When they finally succumb to their shared interests, they can’t get enough.

They both keep secrets from each other that would’ve helped if they would’ve just been honest with each other. I loved the little pranks they pull on each other yet the care they have for one another is so sweet.

Great spinoff of London Lords but still has them as side characters. Hoping there will be additional books of the two friends that are mentioned. Love the little bit of twists and turns throughout the book that continue to throw Rian and Oliver together. Ends with them together but no epilogue.

Love a spin off of the London Lords!

The past always comes knocking on your door, even though you think you’ve moved on. Oliver and Rian have a past, even though it’s not the usual. They meet again with both of them working for the London Lords. They want to stay away from each other, but it’s impossible. Bad luck follows both of them around, though, always caused by Oliver’s brother. Rian has a history with him, also. It’s a complicated relationship with a lot of action, and a lot of sparks. A great standalone. Always a great book from Nana Malone. I always look forward to more of her writing.

Wow, when I didn't think nana couldn't put out another amazing hit she has with this one. Now your getting to see some of the others from the elite . though don't get me wrong you will see some of the original gang too might even chuckle at them too.

But these two have cross paths before now when Rain has returned to London to start fresh but that's so she finally puts her past to rest. Oliver is shocked to say the least when they come across each other again.

But like all things theres twist and turns through out the story that will.make you shale your head. But keep you going because you need to k ow what happens next. I hope there's more to their story to come. Can't wait to see what's next

A spin off of the FABULOUS London Lords. Ollie and Rian have a scandalous past and they have to play it nice when they discover they are working together on a huge project at work. Their childish pranks only make the chemistry between them even more palpable. The daily gummy delivers is genius! Each wanting to fight their own battles and protect themselves leaves them closed off from each other and those around them that are on their side and willing to help them wage war against those who are determined to hurt them. Will their childish tactics lead to sizzle between the sheets…. Okay ? Oh yeah!!!! But will their checkered past and longstanding desire destroy them and any chance they have to be together?

Loved This… BIG!

Ollie. Little brother to a dreadful human. 5 years ago he saved a girl who could not stop thinking about. Fast forward. She walks into his work.

Rian…. Needed a white knight on a stormed night… and Ollie showed up!!! Chaos ensues. Fast forward 5 years… walks into a new hard fought for job and guess who is to show her around? yeppppp. You got it.

Pros: stand-alone, great banter, loved the characters, protective alpha hero, sassy fun and needs no one heroine.

Cons: I would’ve loved a prologue novella, I could’ve read about young Ollie for days

Highly recommend

Whoa! Talk about stepping right into the fray! To Catch a Thief has Ms. Malone’s expected strong (and hot!) characters and great storyline. Loved Ollie & Rian’s revenge shenanigans. They were epic! It was great seeing the London Lords & Ladies and Winston Isle friends too. This is an HEA, no cliffhanger (thank goodness!). Hmmm, I wonder who’s up next? Liam? Alex? Hope we don’t have to wait too long!

Nana Malone’s “To Catch A Thief” was hilarious and action-packed! There were pranks and an HR friend with an offer for trickery ideas. This office romance was a second chance romance that stemmed from five years ago when Rian dated Oliver’s narcissistic brother and her world turned upside down. Now, she is back in London town and lady just wants to stop looking over her should and work!

Malone writes strong women becoming stronger heroines which I love to read about. I love that we get a mini London Ladies get together scene in this book!

I loved the hero who was trying to better the life of one sibling while keeping the other at bay and overcoming his internal conflicts. With the support of the London Lords and his best mates, anything is possible when challenged by a range of villains!

Thank you to Valentine PR and Nana Malone for the ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Rian and Ollie knew each other as teens. She was dating his older brother. Things get ugly between the young couple and then the police get involved and I was left wondering for a bit what exactly happened, there’s a bit of mystery surrounding it all. The three characters suffer different repercussions from it. The situation isn’t clear to everyone until later in the story.
I like the second chance/hate chemistry the two have. Although, it’s not a super steamy book until the end. It’s pretty low, slow burn.

There’s tension and suspense. The reader and Rian don’t know exactly what’s happened in the past and suspicious things are happening in the present. Is she imagining things or is she really being watched and followed?
It’s a bit of a crime/caper story, slow burn romance and a suspense.
I liked the characters, however I didn’t feel connected to them or highly invested in the story. I really wanted to be, it had a lot of the components I love. I was missing deeper feelings for and about the characters. It felt a bit slow at times and then a bit rushed in other parts. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as fast paced and romantic as I was hoping.
I’ve read a book by the author that is inter-connected to these characters and enjoyed it.
This was a bit of a miss for me unfortunately, I like more heat and stronger connections to the characters. It didn’t have me on the edge with anticipation.

To say Oliver (Ollie) and Rian have a complicated past would be the understatement of the century. After a disastrous night, that almost ruined Rian’s life, she comes back to London having landed a new job only to learn her new coworker is Ollie. All the emotions from the past surface and complicates the new life Rian wants to lead. But she can’t seem to stay away from Ollie and their shared past starts to complicate everything. Can they have a future together or will the past ruin that too?

The chemistry and banter between Rian and Ollie is on fire. From the pranks to the heated kisses they are always seconds away from imploding. Rian and Ollie both tried so hard to protect the other one from everything that threaten them and their relationship but if they would have just talked to each other they would have saved themselves a lot of pain. So much emotion in this thrilling and fast paced story of doing whatever it takes to protect the ones you love even if that means sacrificing yourself in the process.

Thank you @valentine_pr_ and @nanamalonewriter for this eARC in exchange for my honest feedback!

Oliver and Rian have a complicated relationship. At 16 Rian was dating Max, Ollie's older brother, who was a dangerous criminal and unknowingly used her to aid his crimes. So one stormy night after breaking up with Max, Ollie comes to her rescue delivering a passionate moment before the cops interrupt. Years later she returns to London and finds herself working with Ollie. Max can't let these two find happiness though and haunts Rian while pulling Ollie deeper into his world. I enjoyed this book and found the prologue to be pretty attention grabbing as the chemistry leapt off the pages. As they reconnect years later these two give off an enemies vibe and though it's a slow burn when they finally do get together those love scenes definitely deliver. Rian is feisty while trying to piece her life back together. Ollie is stubborn and doesn't ask for help, but can't help falling for his lovely brunette. I'd read more in this series about the secondary characters for sure.

This was a great addition to The London Lords theme. I loved Rian and Oliver's story and found it hard to put down once I started reading. This book will definitely take you on an emotional roller coaster. Layers and layers of emotions and regrets. This book has so many twists it'll have your head spinning. A great story with an incredible story line. The characters were wonderful and there were some cameo appearances from other books. This is one book you don't want to miss. I read an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to review it.

This is an enemy to lover book and man does it really pack a punch. You think you kind of know what is going to happen from the blurb but you would be wrong. There is so much more to this book than I thought there was going to be. I fell in love with Rian and Oliver. Rian is a girl that is very off limits because she is his brother's girl. These two already had some serious history when they are thrown together for a job. The sparks are still there and very undeniable. As much as they want to thought they can not deny the connection between them. While these two can not get enough of each other they also are keeping secrets from each other and they are not exactly being honest with each other. This book will have you laughing out loud with the pranks they pull on each other. But don't let that fool you either. The way they feel about each other is not a joke and a very real living breathing thing. You are going to love this book and these characters. They are going to rock your world!!

OMG!! I absolutely loved To Catch a Thief!! This book was such a great enemies to lovers with a whole lot of suspense read. In a word...it was simply wonderful. I enjoyed every single page of this one. Wow!! Oliver and Rian were a perfectly combustible pair whose all around chemistry jumped off the pages. OMG! These two stole a piece of my heart.

Rian, who used to live in London when she was younger and used to date Oliver aka Ollie's older brother Max, who has a very sordid past, before she unceremoniously left London with a cloud of dark suspicion surrounding her, has now returned 5 years later and is now working at the office of the London Lords after having worked for them at their New York office. However, unbeknownst to Rian, so is Ollie, and to make matters worse, they are working in the same department and have been paired together on one of the biggest accounts the London Lords are launching. Despite Rian thinking Ollie wronged her, Ollie has his own thoughts about the wrongs that Rian committed against him, and is wondering why she returned and with a new name. This is where the story just takes flight and never stops soaring. These two become entangled in a mess not of their own creation, but in order for Ollie to keep his sister Tessa, who he has given everything to since their mom passed and their brother Max went about his way, safe, they will have to work together to find their way out of this tangled web that has been weaved for them.

To Catch a Thief is an absolutely wonderful addition to the London Lords world. Not only were we introduced to Rian, Ollie and his friends, who are the perfect group of guys to carry on The Elite's new traditions, since they are basically younger versions of the London Lords themselves, but we also are able to reacquaint ourselves with our old friends the London Lords and their beautiful women. Oh, and speaking of the London Lords, let me just say that I really need Bridge's book after reading this one, and I need books on Ollie's friends. Thanks in advance! Bravo, Nana Malone on yet another fantastic read.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
To Catch a Thief was a thrilling read and my first by Nana Malone. I really need someone to kick my butt for waiting so long to read one of this author's books.
This story was about Oliver Wexler and Rian Beaumont. They came into each other’s lives five years ago when she was involved with Ollie's older brother, Max. Ollie showed up and saved her like her own personal white knight. She has moved back to London to work at the London Lord's Hotel which happens to be the same place he works. Neither want the other in their life now or so it seems. When they work together on the same project, a hilarious game of prank wars ensues which had me laughing so hard I cried. Max is still doing his best to interfere with them living a happy life. Seeing them finally learn to work together had me loving the overall plot so much.
It was almost impossible to put this book down. There were constant twists and turns, unpredictable outcomes, suspense that had me constantly guessing, action kept me on the edge of my seat and incredible heat that left me in need of a cold shower. I loved the world development and character growth. I can’t wait to read more from this author. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. I missed this. Nana gives readers their friends and crushes back to them in a stunning way. This book gave me all the feels. Rian (Cooke) Beaumont and Oliver Wexler have history. Shock and awe can be the only way to describe their meeting again five years later. They meet at a job that both need for different reasons. Ollie wants Rian gone immediately. He is currently going through the pledge process with the Elite. Yes, worshippers of Nana, that Elite. We get to see the London Lords do their thing again. Rian and Ollie are forced to work together as they both work for Livy in operations. Both Rian and Ollie have an ingrained sense of independence and will not ask for help because both have been burned severely. Thankfully, the two cannot fight their pull to each other. The pulls gets them into a situation that only the London Lords can get them out of. Will this couple be able to come out unscathed on the other side of this nightmare? You will love this couple and their friends just as much as you love Team Winston Isles. An unexpected and very appreciated spin off written beautifully.

I couldn’t think of another story for Book 100 than a dive back in the London Lords universe. We are introduced new character including our main couple Rian Beaumont & Oliver Wexler. It’s been five years since the pair last seen each other and a lot has changed since then. Rian is looking for a fresh start whereas Oliver is trying to escape the shadow of his toxic brother Max. As the story progresses Rian and Oliver things about each other while working together among other things. Of course, we can forget appearances from our favorite London Lords Crew. After fighting some major hurdles & each other the couple finally getting their HEA. I still have a few questions and characters on my “hit” list. Other than that, I enjoyed this story. I am looking forward to next adventure and Bridge’s story.

This is a great spin off from the London Lords. This story is such a un story to read. There is great banter, lots of laugh and let's not forget I got to see some of my favorites from the London Lords series. The love story between Ollie and Rian has a back story that is filled of intrigue. Rian use to date Ollie's oder brother and had to leave London surrounded by suspicion and has now returned to London 5 years later. Upon her return to London, Rian finds herself paired with Ollie on a really huge account for the London Lords, and old feelings of being wronged by each other resurfaces. It is not until that these two have to work together to save Ollie's sister Tessa that the true chemistry between these two start to really simmer and develop and they begin to really sort out their true feeling for each other. This is a great story and I would truly recommend it to anyone that just wants to read a really great love story between 2 really complicated people. This story takes you the reader on a great ride and you would love every minute of it.
Great job Nana and I can't wait to see what you next to offer your readers.

Oliver Wexler had his eye on Rian Cooke but she was with his older brother Max and he didn’t understand why ?? He saw her for her not like his brother saw her as a mark. Until the unthinkable happened and Rian was gone .. until 5 years later when he walks into work and there she was .. BEAUTIFUL AS EVER ! Maybe on the outside she looked like the old Rian. It in the inside he will find out she is TOTALLY different, thanks to Max !!

When Rian moves back to London to work for the London Lords she never thought she would ever see Ollie again, so when she walked into that meeting on her 1 st day and saw him she knew she should RUN !!

Can she work for the Lords and keep under the radar so no one knows she knew Ollie is her past or will there attraction still be there ?? Or will he have to push her away to keep away from her ??

This story is way off the charts like ALL of the Lords books !! You won’t be able to out it down because you will want to know who is hiding, who is running and who has the goods ?? Loved it !!

Stealing our hearts once again.

Nana Malone has once again brought a couple to life and your heart falls in love with them. Oliver and Rian have a history. They knew each other in the past and that made them, at least Rian, want to keep their distance. But as with all of Nana Malone's books, the chemistry for the right couple is stronger than they can deny.

Rian & Oliver are part of the London Lords. And in true London Lord fashion, there is secrets and intrigue. Strong friendships. Twists. Turns. and the deeper you get into the story.

Oliver is truly a man on a mission. Seeing Rian again has brought back all the feelings that he has had for her. His heart is hers and he has to make her get past the old hatred and see what he sees between them.

As the story progresses, things unfold. And the world of the the London Lords brings it all together. Looking forward to exploring more of the Lords and seeing how their hearts are mended and filled.

Awesome job, Nana!

This amazing read gives you tons of tingly feels and breathless swoon with some heart racing action and thrilling suspense. Rian and Oliver's story is a terrific romantic romp. I fell so hard for these two. Every interaction between these two was a moment that generated sparks. Their banter was sharp and clever and their chemistry a banked inferno just waiting for the perfect moment to combust! I thought this book was a pure delight. It was rich with emotion and thick with drama but also incredibly fun, filled with heart and a tiny bit of cute. This is my unbiased, unsolicited review.

To Catch a Thief by Nana Malone is the story of Rian Beaumont and Oliver Wexler.
Rian when she was around 16 was dating Max who is Oliver older brother. But unknown to her Max was a dark criminal who was using her. Now several years later, Rian has return to London for a job with the London Lords only to find that she will be working with Oliver. Of course she has put up her guards towards him and Oliver has found that he is very drawn to Rian. Between the sexual tension and their pranks this was a hot fun read. Loved it and I do recommend this book along with this author's writing.

I love the London lords series, and now they have recruits. Ollie seemed to have his life on track after a rather not so great past, but when his past walks in for a job with him, it seems his life comes crashing back down. Rian was one tough girl, her past was intertwined with Ollie's, the past she wanted to forget. Loved these two together, the little pranks they pulled definitely gave me some great ideas. What a great read!
