Got to say I wasn’t a big fan, really terrible arguments, in a book clearly out with an agenda but fronting itself as a ‘no-nonsense, just the facts’ (always a red flag). It was rife with unsubstantiated claims, some fairly petty digs, and the occasional argument that likes to have it both ways without failing to see the hypocrisy. I looked up the author and turns out the reality is that this is by a former engineer and army officer whose been in business for a bit and is now having a go at doing statistics himself. Wildly overconfident in my opinion and I was hardly surprised to find that he’s a regular GB News pundit on the war Ukraine (expert on that too apparently!). Top marks for the endorsing foreword by the deputy master from a city of London livery which represents the energy industry, definitely not someone who would have any vested interests around net zero…
