Hate You Forever

I, Tara Mangal, take thee, Marnix Taylor, to have and to hold from this day forward.
For better, for worse, for richer, poorer, in sickness, and in health.
To love and to cherish, till death do us part.

Or at least that’s the story we’re spinning to the world...

My new husband is an infuriating, stubborn man with no remorse, no sense of humor, and no idea of what love or marriage is supposed to be about.

Good thing I didn’t pick him because I actually wanted to marry him.

The only reason I agreed to his ridiculous terms was to escape being married off to another man. A man my parents had chosen, not knowing he was dead set on destroying me.

I barely escaped a life with the monster of a man from my past, only to have three new ones dropped into my lap.

Marnix Taylor, my savage husband who can take anyone down with one look.
Cohutta Reilly, the sweet, playful jokester who also happens to be my husband's best friend.
And Rushton Bergman, the quiet, brooding bodyguard, determined to protect me at all costs.

The three of them may think they can control me, but they will soon learn that Tara Mangal can’t be tamed. Not even by the three hottest men in Craibridge.

Hate You Forever is book one in the Hate Series. It is a reverse harem novel with themes like marriage of convenience, enemies-to-lovers, and bodyguard romance. This series takes place in the same fictional city of Craibridge as Love in Sight and Love Triggered, and will contain some character cross over, but is a standalone series. You don't have to read the others to read this series!

This book has so much wrapped up in it - marriage of convenience, reverse harem (my favorite), bodyguard romance and an enemy to lovers take that's so good you feel the sexual tension oozing from the pages. It started off hot and stayed that way! Holy heck!

Tara has finally found herself again after going through something that changed her completely. Living through your very own nightmare will do that to you. She's sassy, strong and is sexually free. She knows what she wants and how to get it. Take charge and take numbers... well, never. That's how it works, usually. Being forced to do something that her parents wish makes her do something drastic. She will refuse it until she has no more breath in her body.

Marnix Taylor is cutthroat, independent and has his emotions wrapped up tight. He was raised to show no weakness and that he is above all. Especially people from the other side of town. He wouldn't be where is now if he wasn't. A top-notch lawyer who doesn't lose and knows how to win at all costs.

A chance encounter at Tara's restaurant sets something in motion that no one saw coming. A stipulation in his father's will has them crashing together... who will burn up first? Both needing to be married for different reasons brings a contract to life. The push and pull between these two was intense. Lust and hate a very fine line. Some of his one liners that were meant to dig into her armor were so hurtful. I wanted to slap him silly!

Then throw in a one-night stand of hers that she actually called back for a repeat - who just so happens to be closer to all this then either know.
Oh and don't forget Rush, the bodyguard. The one who is to protect her at all costs. Not pleasure her. Add in a crazy ex who will stop at nothing to own her, and you've got quite the read!
So many lies, half-truths and people that are so broken they have a hard time letting the good in.

After reading that ending I instantly downloaded book 2!! Can't wait to see how this explosive story ends!!

HATE YOU FOREVER is the first book I read by Denver Rose, but after finishing and leaving me on that major cliffhanger, I am definitely reading more of her books.

Our story starts with Tara and her family restaurant on the brink of being taken away from her. She has been working hard to make her family proud, and being independent, but the restaurant is struggling.
Marnix, one of our boys we will swoon over and want to slap from time to time, is a rich lawyer from the other side of town. He overhears a conversation Tara is having on the phone with her parents while eating at her restaurant that will trigger the events in the story.
After meeting Tara, the attraction is undeniable even though Tara is not falling head over heels for him as women normally do. That's also when he learns that in order to inherit the company his father left him, he needs to be married within 3 years and it has to be for at least 1 year before the company is legally his. Otherwise the company goes to his father's partner (who we hate, cause he is a horrible person).
That's when Marnix or Nix, decides to marry Tara and when Tara meets Rush and Reilly. One becomes her bodyguard and confidant, the other turns out to be a lover Tara had prior meeting Nix.

The chemistry, the sexual tension, banter and arguments between the characters is everything you need in a love-hate reverse harem story. I am not going to lie and say I did not find myself not wanting to shake Nix until he stopped being an idiot, but the story process was beautiful.

I didn't know how strong of a MC Tara is until we went deeper into the story. The more you read and you discover, the more you admire her and want to slap Marnix (maybe gently) for not seeing the right signs.

To add a little spice into the mix, we also get to read from different POVs. Which definitely helps to build the characters in your mind and why the do what they do. I personally find this aspect really important when we are reading a love-hate relationship.

As always, when things are looking like they might have a happy ending, a cliffhanger is thrown into the mix, the bad guy pops out with an "aha" and we are left devastated because why would you not protect and stop the hate towards our MC? But hey, hell breaks loose and I CANNOT WAIT to see what will happen next. I hope Nix gets put in his place for being an idiot with trust issues and the bad guy gets what he deserves. I hope book 2 is Tara raising from the ashes and serving some well deserved justice.

If you love love-hate relationships, I highly recommend this book. It has the extra added hotness that it's a reverse harem. The book does contain some dark themes, so please check the trigger warnings before starting it.

Trigger warnings: This book contains abuse, rape, drugs and violence. If these topics are not appropriate for you, I would recommend to check other titles.

If you haven’t hopped on the Denver Rose train yet what are you waiting for these ladies are killing the game book after book and Hate You Forever is no exception! Just when I think I have found my favorite book from them they come out with a new one that takes the cake! This baby is dark, gritty, RH and the men are sexy AF with a fantastic FMC that gives as good as she gets. Everyone has some baggage some secrets and issues that haven’t all been exposed yet but let me tell you they will absolutely captivate you from the very beginning.. I loved all of the guys even the extra broody one that I wanted to punch in the throat 92% of the time ( bae you know who you are). The chemistry between all of them is explosive and that ending WTF!!! I wanted to cry, scream, throw my kindle and punch something like seriously!! Now I will sit and wait impatiently for the next book which I know of going to be freaking fabulous.

Hate You Forever by Denver Rose

The book is a reverse harem with themes like marriage of convenience, enemies-to-lovers, and bodyguard romance. This is the first book in The Hate series.

The book does come with a trigger warning: " Book contains material only appropriate for 18+. May contain situations or talk concerning abuse, rape, drugs, violence.

All I can say is WOW! Denver knocked this book out of the park! I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I am loving the chemistry between Tara, Marnix, Cohutta, and Rushton. I really enjoyed getting all of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

The book ends on an amazing cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book to be announced!

I would highly recommend this book if you like reverse harms, marriage of convenience, enemies-to-lovers, or bodyguard romances. This is a MUST READ!

Once again, Denver Rose knocks it out of the park with a fabulous read! I couldn’t put this book down. I was definitely hooked since page one.

There were so many things to like about this book! No ow drama, no cheating, and I especially loved that Tara held her own with every single thing thrown at her especially by Nix.

Nix is a total alpha hole throughout most of the book and you can’t help but love him. Rush and Cohutta are my absolute favorite! I am in love with them! The way Rush protects her and the way they both care for her.. gah! I love it so much!

But man was that cliffhanger BRUTAL. I wanted shake someone. I just need book 2 asap! Highly recommend!!

A plot that's only a plot because Tara can't snitch on her abuser

This has a lot of potential. However, I'm really annoyed that miscommunication and assumptions dominate the entire plot. It's what is keeping this from being more stars.

To start, our fmc is Tara, a woman who has survived a brutally abusive boyfriend, our villain Zayan. He's truly horrible and carries all the trigger warnings for this book - gaslighting, drugging, rape (which is written into a flashback and detailed, not just briefly mentioned), and assault. We don't know why he left for 7 years, but after almost killing Tara with a drug overdose, he does. She moves on and, for the most part, is a strong, sassy and independent woman. Except... she never tells ANYONE that Zayan is horrible, let alone the details. Not her parents, not her best friends. No one. She could be a really likeable fmc if she just got her head out of her ass and told someone, especially when everyone keeps pushing Zayan. People would believe her, and she knows this, but admits that it's her own embarrassment keeping her from sharing. (But nothing else embarrasses her?! not nudity or flirting or sassing a powerful person.)

This leads to a marriage of convenience with our main mmc, Nix. He needs it for inheritance reasons. They get married, blah blah. Tara and Nix are oil and water. They are constantly bickering and fighting, mostly because Nix is a complete asshat. We also have Rush and Reilly, who are much more likeable and has the sexy times with Tara. All of this is fine and what keeps the story interesting.

Here's my problem with the miscommunication-drives-the-plot. Almost every single problem that arises is because someone doesn't share with the class or someone makes an assumption that is wildly inaccurate or both. Tara's parents trying to matchmake her with her villainous ex? Tara never told them he's an abuser. Nix gets mad that Tara and Reilly have the sexy times? No one told him they knew each other before the marriage. Tara thinks Nix is a misogynist ass and constantly pushes him away? Nix doesn't stand up for Tara in front of Tara, but behind closed doors. Also Tara's in double danger - Zayan and the mafia - but no one shares this info. Lordy, the amount of times I found myself wanting to scream at this book for two characters to just talk to each other was high blood pressure inducing. Infuriating. Ruins my enjoyment. It also makes everything so. damn. predictable. Because we, as the reader, know all of this and can easily see how people will misinterpret and get upset by all this bs.

On top of that, the cliffhanger is gnarly intense and - you guessed it - hinges on Nix being an asshat that doesn't know how to communicate. *bangs head on desk* He is insufferable! Also Book 2 isn't even out yet.

Also, I know this isn't relevant, but I'm fired up so.. Why does everyone has such weird fucking names?! Marnix. Rushton. Cohutta. Zayan. Lya. Like?!

tl;dr This story is only a story because no one talks to anyone about anything meaningful and every conflict or problem could be completely avoided if Tara told people Zayan was an abuser.

Loved it

From the moment I started this book I was hooked. The fmc is sex personified, and I love that about her. For Tara, sex is a way she expresses control and freedom of her body. It’s something she needs and nothing to be ashamed of.

I always love when an fmc feels no need to hide her sexuality or suppress her carnal appetite. And Tara absolutely doesn’t hide this.

As for the men. Manix is an asshole, there’s no stating that in any other way. I hated him at first but once you start to learn about him you understand kind of why.

All I can say is that he’s definitely a result of his environment. Luckily we get his pov so we are able to see his motives and what makes him tick.

He’s not a bad guy exactly just uptight and pretentious. But with moments of softness he doesn’t like to show but manages to grace us with every now and then. He grows on you I guess is what I’m saying.

As for Rush and Cohetta I loved them so much. They were the sweetie pies/ cinnamon rolls of the group. Cohetta has been into the fmc since day one, and it was especially sweet seeing him yearn for the fmc and watch him fight to hold himself back. He loves his best friend but he can’t help his desire for the fmc and it was personally a guilty pleasure of mine to watch him struggle to hide his feelings for the fmc from his friend.

Rush is the personification of a gentle giant or teddy bear, and he’s Tara’s sweet and silent protector. I have to say him and Cohetta are my favorite out of the men.

As for the pacing of this story, it was great romance wise and plot wise, but nearing the end I felt like it sped up a little too quickly? The romance I mean. I was happy with the results, but I do feel like the romance could have continued to be built up into the next book? Regardless I did enjoy it but I sort of wish this book was just slightly longer to do just that.

In this book there was no ow drama, and we don’t have to see the men with ow before the fmc which is nice, but I was a little annoyed that two of the men have shared before. Don’t let that deter you from reading because it’s just briefly mentioned, but whenever authors have the men in RH do that. I can’t help but always think they use it as a cop out to explain/ reason why they would be willing to share the fmc later on.

I’m not saying that this particular author did it for that exact reason, but I am saying I feel like a lot of other RH authors do so for that reason. And I’m honestly not very fond of it and it kind of takes the specialness away from the men sharing her.

Sorry Rant over 🥴

Anyways I’m excited for the next book but also terrified. That cliffhanger was not a kind one but if you are a person who is able to take them. I would recommend this book strongly. It took me right out of my book slump. I loved it.

Trigger warnings/safety
-mention of sexual abuse/ forced drug abuse
-implied mm (not a trigger for me but may be for some)

TW: Abuse, Rape, Drugging, Violence.

Can I just start by saying I hope book 2 starts with someone punching Nix in the face.

I think this is my favorite harem to date from Denver Rose. The different personalities of all the guys and Tara work together so beautifully. Cohutta Reilly is the easy going tattooed playboy with a dark past. Rushton Bergman is the silent brooding type that would risk his life for those he cares about, but he also has a hidden temper. And then we have Marnix Taylor, the egotistical rich guy with daddy issues that hides any real emotion behind a 100 foot wall. But when you add in Tara’s take-no-shit attitude, and her ability to put them in their place and bring them to their knees makes for an interesting story.

After her parents threaten to marry her off to an abusive ex Tara is racking her brain with ideas on how to financially save her family's restaurant without him. So when an arrogant asshole in an expensive suit asks her to be his fake wife so he can inherit his fathers company, she has a hard time finding a reason to say no. With this marriage came a handsome protective bodyguard, and an ex one night stand she couldn’t seem to forget. This should be interesting.

While I can appreciate Tara’s strength for surviving the trauma she went through in the past, I will admit she was not my favorite FMC from Denver when starting this book. I just didn’t find her very likable at the beginning, however, learning about her past did help to make the way she is more understandable.

Out of the guys, I think Reilly (AKA Cohutta) is my favorite. He comes across as the car free playboy, but he actually gets attached easily, and when Tara would try to push him away I would feel so bad. Rush does come in at a close second, but I don’t feel like we really get much connection between Tara and him. I do hope to see more of them together in book 2. As I said at the beginning of this review, I hope Nix gets throat punched very soon because the end of this book (no spoilers) had me screaming at him through my kindle.

While this series is set in the same world as two of Denver Rose’s other books (Love in Sight & Love Triggered) you do not have to read those books in order to understand this one. This book does end on a cliffhanger from hell, so please beware before reading. Overall this was a really fun book to read and I look forward to seeing what happens with Tara and her men in book 2.

I received this as a free ARC book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much to the authors for sending me a copy.

Vengeance better be her’s…….

I absolutely adore this author so I knew this book would be good. This book may be book one of a series but the character and story building in this book was done perfectly.

Tara has fought extremely hard these last several years to finally be her own person. After enduring the worst possible situation that any person can go through. She forces herself to live a life of no relationships and no feelings in a string of only one night stands. Just when she thinks she’s somewhat safe her parents throw a curveball at her. One that leaves her stuck trying to avoid the one person she’s fought years to better herself because of.

Marnix Taylor is everything that Tara didn’t expect to find in her quiet little restaurant. The smugness that is Marnix automatically has Tara being her amazing sassy self right back to him. The immediate connection that these two have is hilarious and I’m all for it. Even if they are both too stubborn to see it for themselves.

Reilly starts out as Tara’s typical one night stand. However one night turns into an amazing second night and then she finds herself unexpectedly staring into his eyes as she’s introduced to her new fiancé’s best friend.

Rush realizes that what started out as a new assignment of being a bodyguard comes with feelings that he shouldn’t be feeling about his Boss’s new wife. But when Tara confides her deepest secret to her new found friend Rush is left stuck deciding if keeping her trust os better than making sure his boss is kept in the loop.

The ending of this book is one that I never expected to happen. After finally getting somewhere with the saga that is all Marnix and Tara, all hell breaks loose and you’re left trying to pick up the pieces of your mind after it explodes.

The cliffy sucks so be warned. However it leaves you demanding that Tara gets the vengeance that she deserves. Trust me when I say that this book will 100% drag you in and then you’ll be screaming for more.

Sorry, not my thing.
Had a tough time swallowing Marnix’s putdowns. Constantly being demeaned is not my jam. Also his need to control her, that did not sit well with me, especially after she compared him to her abusive ex and saw all the same signs. Sure he diverged from the ex and started to change, but man, why ignore those signs? Were you waiting for it to get just as bad before saying no?? I get that she’s now a strong confident woman, and good for her, but why let yourself be led down a seemingly similar path?
I’d never. Fool me once…
And well, ok you already know this will contain spoilers, so I have to get this off my chest. The reader already knows that Marnix will end up with her. The harem was laid out from almost the beginning, so no surprises there. But it is a deep, abiding, pet-peeve of mine when a character goes back on her word.
“I will never let any man control my life again!” -𝒐𝒌, 𝒆𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏.
Next minute she’s coming down dressed in clothes she really doesn’t like, all because he basically strong-armed her into accepting. When she gets to the event it’s justified because his reasoning was right and hers was wrong, but she literally let him control what she wore and that grated on me, and it was not the only time.
Another example: he’s about to walk out the door, she delivers an ultimatum - “Leave me and I’ll hate you forever”. Except…we know she’ll change her mind because he’s one of her harem.
So although I’ve yet to actually read what will happen coming up in the next book, chances are high she’s going to go back on what she said.

Her other 2? Darlings. Give me Rush 𝑨𝑳𝑳. 𝑫𝑨𝒀. That man can be my everything.
However, I want to walk away from a book feeling good, not angry.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Hate You Forever was a surprise I was so happy to discover. This is my first book by this writing duo and it will NOT be the last. In this book you’ll find the following tropes – dark, reverse harem, marriage of convenience, enemies-to-lovers and bodyguard romance.
When Marnix Taylor meets Tara Mangal, they realize they could help each other. In order to inherit his father’s company, he has to be married. At the same time, Tara's parents are trying to force her into marrying a monster whose hell bent on destroying her. So, Nix makes her an offer she can’t refuse. They will marry for convenience’s sake which will benefit them both. Nix is a savage that can take anyone down with one look but he doesn’t know the first thing about love or being a husband. Then she meets Nix's best friend, Cohutta Reilly, who is sweet, playful and a regular jokester. Then, there’s her bodyguard, Rushton Bergman. He’s your regular quiet, brooding man determined to keep her safe. All three men are a handful. If they think they can control her, they are sadly mistaken. They’ll learn she can’t be tamed even if they are three of the hottest men in Craibridge.
What an AMAZING start to a new series! This book grabbed my attention and kept it through to the cliffhanger. I didn’t want to put it down for even a minute. The chemistry between these characters were pure FIRE! I want to trade places with Tara. I loved the plot down to the finest detail. If you love hate to love, reverse harem romance, then you need to give this book a try. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

Great start to the series

Honestly, that very first line pulled me right in. Great job, ladies. That whole prologue was *chefs kiss*. Although, reading the final line of the prologue, we all knew that was not going to be the case. We. Knew.

From the excellent prologue, the book just got better. I had adored Tara as a side character in the other books by this author (you do not need to read the other books, but they were good so why not) to enjoy this novel, other characters are briefly mentioned. Anyway, I adored Tara and this book solidified my love for her. She is sassy, she dishes it as good as she gets it and although she is a very strong woman, she does have her weaknesses and insecurities.

As for the men, I enjoyed her budding relationship with all of them. It was heartbreaking to see how her past affected how she reacts to relationships and different aspects of her life.

The ending of the book made me want to throw this book at a few of the characters. One in particular. And maybe something more solid for another. Such a great way to end it and I cannot wait to see how these events, and a redemption story line, will play out.

I found this a uniquely fascinating story.

It’s a mix of what she should do? And what does she feel like she has to do? And let’s not start on the ending, cliffhanger of all cliffhanger warning, the heart will find a new place to reside.

I’ll be honest, in the first few chapters I was a little unsure, but the moment I got into it, I flew through the words and pages.

I fell in love with Tara and found she had some kick behind her.

Go in blind, but wait for the next one if you can’t manage a cliffhanger.

XOXO Lottie.

I had some high hopes for this and will still read the sequel because I want to know what happens next, but that last chapter really bothered me. I think I'm in the minority because it seems like everyone is head over heels for this book, but Marnix and Tara had just had this great moment and then everything flips and it just seems completely out of nowhere in my opinion. I was loving it so much until that last little bit of the book, which really bums me out. The chemistry between Tara and the men is amazing and I definitely hope that the sequel redeems the series.

Based on Tara, wanting to save her family's restaurant comes to an agreement with Marnix.
She agrees to marry Nix for him to save the restaurant and to escape an evil man from the past.
We also meet Rush and Reilly, Nix's best friend and bodyguard. The tension and attraction between them and Tara are off the charts.
This is a Dark RH Romance with lots of triggers.
Overall, I loved this book and am looking forward to the next in the series.

THAT GODDAMN CLIFFHANGER I CANNOT SURVIVE TILL THE NEXT BOOK!!!

I really liked this book and I cannot wait to see how it all works out!

+18 Dark Romance - steamy, spicy, kick-ass confident female lead and fast paced

• POC female lead (indian)
• reverse harem
• MM sword crossing potential in the next book???
• marriage of convenience
• forced proximity
• POC love interest (one of the guys)
• Bi love interests (two of the guys)
• fast paced action/plot & fast-burn romance
• k!nky elements
• SHE TALKS D!RTY Y’ALL - I didn’t know I needed that but apparently I did!

It was a fun, easy read with a simple and fast paced plot with all the exciting tropes!

I really like to see POC leads in books and this is the FIRST REVERSE HAREM WITH A POC FEMALE LEAD I’VE READ and it feels 1) exciting 2) shameful there aren’t more like it out there! I’m a POC and I was so freaking excited to find out she’s Indian. There was some homage to her culture too which I appreciated.

If you like Tate James’s reverse harems or Sheridan Anne, I think you’ll enjoy this one. Definitely give it a go!

⚠️ Please note that there are triggering content in this book. The lead is suffering from PTSD, and is a survivor of severe prolonged domestic violence and abuse so there are mentions of her past, and remembered scenes from her past, on page. Her abuser is the villain of this book where he comes back after 7 years.

⚠️ TW: domestic violence, prolonged abuse, SA, drug abuse

Holy hotness, this book grabs you from the steamy prologue until you’re yeeted off a cliff, with that cliffhanger. This book is dark, steamy RH and I am here for it.

Tara is everything you could possibly want in an FMC. She holds her own, and gives as good as she gets. The guys, holy hotness! Marnix, Cohutta, and Rushton, three completely different personalities, and each hotter than the next. The sparks, steam, and connection between them all is #relationshipgoals.

A marriage of convince, body guard romance, and some enemies to lovers vibes, all mix to bring an explosive binge worthy romance, filled with secrets and a cliffhanger that leaves you demanding the next.

Holy cow this was a great read from start to finish! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars ⭐️ is because the relationship with her parents wasn’t explained well. First they call her every couple of days and pressure her to get married, then she says her dad is her best friend but then they don’t call for weeks and she doesn’t tell them anything….but “they’re close.”
So that was the only thing that I didn’t care for but the rest was superb😁

Holy moly this one is a doozy. I love her relationship with two of the three men, but goddamn I hated the third the entire time. He was a douchebag the whole time. And stupid too. I loved the story king with her abusive ex. It added so much tension and the cliffhanger at the end is making me want to read the second one asap.

The Cliffhanger! Noooooooo...
This is a solid five-star read, and although I usually am not into more than one alpha at a time
(yeah, I'm funny that way), these three brawny rock stars, along with one kickass heroine (love her!) were the perfect foil for one another. Excellent writing, storyline, suspense. And the steamy, smexy scenes... Yowza. Can't wait for the next one!

4.25 Stars! ❤️

Whenever the Denver Rose duo announces a new book i cannot contain my excitement for it! So the second this one was announced plus seeing the teasers for it i couldn't wait! I dived into the Hate world as soon as i could and got into it quickly. I really enjoyed this first book so very much!

This first installment in Tara's journey pulled me in! When Marnix, Cohutta, and Rush enter the picture things get complicated for her. I wasn't sure what all to expect in this first book and it kept me glued to my kindle. I connected with Tara and admired her strength. I really liked getting to dig into Marnix, Cohutta, and Rush's minds.

I loved the uniqueness of this journey and how each character had me feeling so much!

With Hate You Forever, The Denver Rose duo have created such a great, steamy, and breath of fresh air RH you won't want to turn away from! Gah! I can't wait for more of this story and it's characters! I'll be counting down the days until book two is here!

Wow what a start to this new series. I was hooked on this book from the first page 🖤

Following Tara on her journey meeting Nix, Reilly and Rush who are all just 🥵 I love how different they are but they work so well as a group. Tara is an incredible female lead character, her sarcastic sass had me laughing so much. But she also has this vulnerability to her which you can feel coming out the pages.

The spice is this book was so detailed and incredibly hot 🥵 especially when you get some spice in the first chapter 🔥

Multi POV reverse harem book, with all the characters being different this was such a fab way for them to express themselves. Reilly I think is my fave but I love all the boys. There is some darkness hidden away and when it starts to surface you don’t know what’s going to happen next. The story keeps you on your toes.

That ending though 😱😱 I think you tried to kill me with that cliffhanger. I’m already dying for book 2 and I only just stopped reading. My heart still hasn’t calmed down.

Incredible story, loved the whole book, it’s really well written that I got lost in their world, experiencing the story rather than just reading it 🖤

I would give more than 5 stars ⭐️

I was hooked from the first page.
This is great start to a new series and it certainly delivers on character, plot and spice and let me tell you, you can literally feel the sexual tension and chemistry.
So...this ends on a cliffhanger, right where things are really ramping up - cannot wait for book 2.

Omg Denver Rose made this book hot right from the get go. Like a thousand on the steamy scale!

We have forbidden romance, dark trauma, marriage of convenience, psychotics exes. I devoured this book. Tara is a very independent woman, but she is bound to save the family business. Even if it means marrying a man for a year.

But what happens when the hottest hook up you ever had is your new husband's best friend? And you are insanely attracted to your new body guard your husband assigns you? And the husband isn't suppose to be someone you want, but you can't help that you do?

And Nix the husband has his own secrets. He works as a lawyer for dangerous people. He is required to marry someone and has a time limit to do so.

And Tara's ex comes back for the first time in 7 years. And it's not good. Rush the body guard is the only one you've trust with the truth of what that monster has done to you.

Cohutta and Tara have unbelievable chemistry. But they also have similar traumas that they sense in each other.

But the cliffhanger...man I can't wait for book 2. If they could make it hotter I am not sure how that is possible. Amazing 5 star get it!

This is an AMAZING start to this new series!! I was hooked from the very 1st page!!

This book blew me away!!! It is a reverse harem, marriage of convenience, bodyguard romance with a dash of enemies to lovers.

Tara has finally become the person she wants to be after living through something awful. She doesn't do relationships or feelings, just a lot of one night stands. But, then her parents throw a wrench in her plans, and she refuses to do what they want her to do.

Marnix Taylor is a rich, powerful man. When Tara meets him while he is eating at her parents restaurant, they have an immediate connection. When they both need to get married for different reasons, they come to an agreement.

Reilly is Tara's no name one night stand that she had an unforgettable night with. He can't forget about her either and they then have a second hot night together. When she sees him again, it's at her engagement party to Marnix, who is Reillys best friend.

Rush is Marnixs bodyguard. When he starts guarding Tara, feelings start to get involved. When Tara opens up to him, it puts him in a bad spot. Tell his boss, or keep her trust.

Tara is a badass FMC!! She doesn't take any crap, gives as good as she gets from anyone and doesn't let anyone walk all over her.

I have no words to describe the guys. Reilly (Cohutta) is my favorite, Rush is a big ol teddy bear, and I CAN NOT wait to see Marnix lose control 😉

I was not expecting that ending at all!!! That cliffhanger has me dying for the next book! Hate You Forever is my new favorite book from Denver Rose!!

Incredible read from start to finish!

The story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The heat: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I spent a cold rainy day curled up with this ARC, and let me tell you, these 4 characters did a hell of a job warming me up! But then the unthinkable happened, I remembered Hate You Forever was the first book in a series, and at some point soon, I'd have to say goodbye to these characters when I'm not nearly ready!

Reader, I wasn't ready! I'm still curled up in the corner trying to recover from that cliffhanger!
Ever heard the term Better the Monster you know than the one you dont? Well Tara disagrees with it anyway, she decides it's a better idea to marry the monster she doesn't know to escape the one she does. Big surprise, she gets a lot more than she bargained for!

Holy hotness batman! This book starts out with a bang (literally) and just keeps cranking up the heat index to a 10,000 as the book progresses. I'm shocked my kindle didn't spontaneously combust during some of the scenes in this story. These authors know how to write chemistry, and more importantly, they aren't afraid to write scenes that feel real and raw.

I think that is what draws me to these authors in general. Their writing has a level of rawness and originality that transports me to the page and makes me feel like I'm living the story. Especially with their endings, I still can't believe that cliffhanger! I never saw it coming!

I need this next book now! Excuse me while I go flood the authors with messages begging for more more MORE!!!

So way back when, I used to be addicted to reading Harlequin romance novels. My favorite trope? Marriage of convenience. This book takes me back to the reason why I love that trope so much. The angst, the push and pull between two people thrusted together for one seemingly simple end goal. Marnix Taylor needs a wife to inherit his father’s law firm. Tara Mangal needs money to keep from losing her family restaurant. So it seems simple and easy enough. They get married and stay together for a year. Marnix Taylor is unapologetic. He’s calculating and cruel and his A-hole meter is firmly stuck on level 10. He’s wealthy and he knows and he flaunts it. Tara is from the West Side and not ashamed that she’s the girl from the wrong side of the tracks. Opposites attract. But larger things are coming into play and so a marriage of convenience is proposed.

But there are other things that loom to threaten everything.

First is the ever-present best friend Cohutta Reilly, and also the bodyguard Rush Bergman. Feelings come into play. Tara’s past is quickly catching up to her. Her ex is back. And he’s revealing himself. He’s here. He’s present. You can’t escape him. He is not a good man. This book did not end well. I’m gonna need book 2 like asap.
