War The Complete Series is a non-stop thrill ride that will leave military science fiction fans hungry for more! Included in this box Reader reviews of book 1: ★★★★★ "The action is fast and furious!" ★★★★★ "Really great sci-fi!" ★★★★★ "Cannot wait to see what happens next!"
This series could have been a best selling series ... if it had been written in 1956.
It's more space opera than science fiction because there is very little science. While there is no soap, the triple crossing alien with unexplained, futuristic (magical?) powers who is out to mess with three galactic races, is reminiscent of some of my wife's favorite villains.
Its All In The Details👽💫🚀 There were confusing and changing descriptions of various characters and ships🚀 in parts of this long and somewhat repetitive series at times.
I got this e-book from Amazon📚 with kindle unlimited.
I confess, I slept thru some of the text to speech reading of this series. But then found I really didn't miss much in between.
A very intriguing storyline! There are 3 main species in our universe. For centuries they have been enemies, fighting war after war. Then comes an enemy from another universe determined to kill off 2 of those races and let only one rule our universe to be their trading partner. They use deceit to reach that goal. The action and warfare that results will knock your socks off. Who will win, the humans, the crocodile men or the emotionless pale aliens? Read this'll thrilling series to find the answers to these questions and more. Highly recommended for all ages of sci-fi fans.
Fantastic. One of the best SPACE Operas that I. Have read.. Engaged me for a week .
I read a lot, and have been reading sci-fi for many years. These books are very close to hard scifi. Maybe hard to see for some. The software constructions are really well done. There is good hardware descriptions. As well. The writer created good characters that I would like to read about again. Great work!
It was nice that there were minimal typos, usually just missing plurals, like referencing a group of admirals but using the singular admirals. It was annoying, though, when ships or entities got mixed up. Like Extractor getting mixed up with the Unicorn, or Novak getting mixed up with Kota. Several times I had to reread sections trying to find what I had missed. But definitely worth the dollar.
Multi coloured emotions and the shining light of random bodies. An exciting story, kept suspense and intrigue throughout. Some very convenient things happened, but it wouldn't be a long book if they all died in the beginning now would it.
I would have given this book a better rating if the author had kept the details straight. For example in the first book the XO of the ship was described as a cyborg. But later he became an android who was shot in the head during a battle however a few pages later he was back on duty with no repairs. In the fourth book there was a character named Oloon who was a resistance fighter. She was captured with the protagonists and put in jail. A few pages later a general ordered her arrested, while she was supposed to be already in jail. Then she was shot in the back, and killed while running from some soldiers. And then she was alive and shot again by a firing squad from which she stayed dead. Meanwhile the good guys came down to the planet in a captured shuttle called The Unicorn, of which they only had one because the military of world used that type craft. But the shuttle kept trading places with a totally different shuttle called the Extractor without a pilot. Another detail was the author kept using the word "round" when he should have used magazine or maybe clip. And the ending was completely unrealistic. An entire inter-galactic culture does not change because humanity has hope.
This was a fun series to read. It opens up with a bang as things go from boring job to everything going crazy all at once. And thus starts another action filled crazy story as an old Captain and a young smart engineer think outside the box to save the lives of their crew. It made me think and try to figure out what might happen next. Just a good read and I could not wait to see what happened next in each book. Each story was entertaining and not always straight forward. I was lucky to get an advance copy and read its entertaining action filled story. A wild adventure full of action, intrigue, danger, unknowns, a massive crazy looking ship, and new friends and some enemies. Watched the crew face danger and escape capture a lot. But a fun series to read.
The story line was okay but the writing seemed amateurish and rushed. I mean how many times can one person be in certain death situations only to be saved at the last minute through some incredible miracle. Plus there were a lot of grammatical errors which is very distracting.
Action packed adventure for universal dominance. Four races competing for advanced technology and resources. The forth more advanced aliens pitting the others against each other.
I'm not certain that this started with the end in the mind, and it felt a little bit like we were living through the discovery with the characters. I recommend it and as a winter read, and you know those can sometimes be disturbing.
This series was suggested based on previous reading. Well written and kept me anticipating what was going to next happen. Both surprised and disappointed when reaching the end.
Enjoyed the series although there were a few grammatical errors
Liked the series. Decent character development, interesting tech and both scrupulous and not opponents. As a long time reader of sci-fi it's pleasant to find a modern author who provides good space opera.
It is nice to have a real page turner that holds your attention like this series does. Never a dull page or dull charcter. Read and if your a fan of space operas you'll be pleased
Someone once said "a good book is one that you can't wait until it ends, and then when it dose you don't want it to" . Well, thank whoever, this one finally ended!!! (Only after I scrolled to the end)
Fast track sci-fi novel with diverse cast of characters. A little light on development of other civilizations. A great romp for sci-fi fans and entertaining.
The action is non stop in the series... Dare I say too much? Character building was done well for one person but there were a lot of great characters in this series. Having said this I still enjoyed this book and would recommend this to other people.
Fascinating story with lots of twists and turns to it. The unexpected challenges faced by this brave crew make this a fun journey and a great read. We'll done!
