More "Monkey See, Monkey Do" and Less Teaching

This book really doesn't instruct on how to draw Manga and Anime styled faces as it shows the drawing stages. It gives zero instruction or discussion on the foundations of this artistic style. So much more could have been done! As an artist, it was just a fantastic disappointment since I had high hopes for this book!

This book is a superbly skilled at taking a very early drawer to the top. I can not draw, but I could follow the step-by-step instructions and make a picture of a girl that looks like the picture. Happy Dance. 💃 The artist will also be happy dancing about how exciting the pictures have come out.🕺 There is a wide variety of faces and the upper torso is also included. The budding artist can also learn how to draw clothes.

This method of line-by-line drawing is what I wanted to draw when I was a kid, but have since learned is not the sort of drawing practice that improves artistic skill over time. I can see this book as more of a craft project but not as something to do with kids who are genuinely interested in getting into art. The general advice in the beginning and end is somewhat useful, though.

A Teaching & Activity Book For All Ages

This isn't a substitute for a serious art course, but if you want to learn to draw faces in a cartoon style, or even to make your doodles more exciting, you'll enjoy doing the projects in this book. There's only a small written portion, so I think it could be enjoyed by kids who want to make their drawings more expressive.

This was okay, but there are many better drawing books out there aimed at children. I guess that's what I get for a free book.

This book follows the style of line by line drawing, therefore it lacked instruction and does not cultivate artistic skill or innovate artist creativity.
