I was amazed when I finished reading ‘World’s Best Bank’. This is a well thought out guide on how to overcome the challenges that emerge when implementing digitalization in a business.
My favorite part were the lessons from the bank’s rapid response to customer’s and employee’s needs when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, as it is a very current topic that needs proper solving.
The author is an award-winning case writer and a Global Scot appointed by the First Minister of Scotland, so I had no doubt he knows what he is talking about.
This is a wonderful, powerful and delightful book that delivers on its claim. The way that it is written, the various reflections and poignant teachings offered will most likely help any reader to understand the benefits of implementing digitalization and that is why I highly recommend reading this book!

A good outlook on business

A book geared towards businesses, “World’s Best Bank” by Robin Speculand gives sound advice on how to use the knowledge one gains when they work with the public. Because the customers are there, if one knows how to observe, businesses can take into account what they learn of their customers and optimize the way their technology works, how it could help the business to grow. The world of technology is here, and businesses cannot simply maintain a traditional outlook on how their customers purchase their wares. This book will help those who want to utilize this knowledge to lead their business onto the next step in their journey. I found it very interesting, well-organized, and insightful to use in any future endeavors that I might have with my own business. Great read! Highly recommended!

Mega Transformation Story with Huge, Balanced Outcomes

Did you enjoy Satya Nadella's book, "Hit Refresh?" If yes, please enjoy another mega transformation story by Robin Speculand in “World's Best Bank.” It tells a story about how DBS, an Asia-based bank, fundamentally transformed its business, won numerous awards, and was showcased by Harvard as one of the top ten digital transformations of the last decade. There are many lessons and guiding principles within. One of my favorites - "It's not enough to apply digital lipstick. You need to become digital to the core." There are numerous additional guiding principles and wisdom tips within for how an organization can truly move towards digital transformation and beyond. This book has pragmatic advice for making big fundamental shifts and realizing the rewards and awards.

An innovative, interesting read.

With a very clear narrative, this book written by author Speculand is a must read. World’s best bank is an innovative read on how to transform the traditional into digital. The information is presented in a very clear way; I really enjoyed reading this book because everything is well organized. Also, I believe that adding colour to some extracts or headings is a very smart way of catching the reader's attention.
This is a certainly thought provoking read that I would recommend to all. I can say that I learned quite a lot of interesting things about this digital wave. It is a must read!

World's Best Bank, written by Robin Speculand is a book that gives us strategies for a digital transformation. Although it is a middle length book, it has plenty of interesting information that I read during the weekend. I really enjoyed it.  The author gives a lot of clues on how to create better experiences with clients, something I believe is really important.

It is clearly written; luckily, I did not get lost with jargon or difficult explanations. I really enjoyed how the author wrote this very useful guide. I will certainly recommend reading it because it is thought provoking and I learnt a lot from it.

Some good examples, but mostly hollow

Like the real world examples e.g. a chapter about ecosystem examples.
But a lot of the content feels hollow and full of buzzwords.
