Is this the end of the road for the country's most notorious criminal?
Hi, I'm Addie Dawson, and I run Helping Paws Animal Shelter. When my employees suggest holding a "Speed Dating with the Shelter Pets" event, I'm all for it. But when the Grisly Grandma shows up, I need to find a way to stop her in her tracks...and make sure some of our long-time residents head to their forever homes.
Bailey Booth is an animal lover, travel enthusiast, and avid reader. She drinks way too many oat milk lattes and will probably laugh at your jokes. She also likes long walks on the beach and candlelit dinners...oh wait. Wrong profile. Bailey's been writing and amateur sleuthing since she was a kid. Fun fact: Spy Kitty in the City came to her in a dream. Follow your dreams!
What do you do if a serial killer shows up at your shelter to adopt a cat? According to author Bailey Booth, not much…
What a cute and unique plot this story offered. If only there was character development and a cohesive flow, but at 37 pages, Im not sure that’s really enough to work with. There are so many plot holes left open! I mean, does Brooke get the hot guy? Is Barkley gonna be okay in his new home? Was the event a success? Is Addie gonna go to the after hours outing? Is Gladys even the real Grizzly Granny?!?!?!
I was honestly excited to read this short story, but in the end, I felt let down and frustrated.
2.5 stars = 350 KB and way the heck smaller than the books I just read with less KB than this (maybe my computer is sizing everything wrong for some reason. I had a full book that was supposedly less KB than this but was over 30 chapters long, way longer than the size it was supposed to be)
Cute intro to the Spy Kitty in the City series This was a fun quick read. The girls at the Helping Paws Animal Shelter have set up speed dates for their most challenging animals and one of the potential adopters looks familiar! I'm looking forward to reading more books in this series.
