Black

A madman hurt my wolves and tried to take Elena.
There isn't a layer of hell good enough for him. Once I find him, I'm going to exact justice on every single inch of his skin and soul.
And then I'm going to put my broken pack back together and heal my sweet, wounded little wolf in the most delicious, depraved ways.
I'm going to marry her and make her forget that the world ever held any other monster but me.

Elena

After the Lobos are attacked, I feel...adrift.
How do you go on after something like that? Something that rips away an important piece of your soul? My Jonah...he's lost and I'm in agony.
I don't know what to do other than turn to Black and plead for him to become the dark knight I never wanted to need. The one I wanted to hate.
But how can I hate the way fury burns in his eyes so brightly? How can I hate his brutal strength when it feels like salvation?
I was wrong about wanting a gentleman. I need a monster.
Luckily, I know one.

Fantastic finish 😍🔥. Usually by book 3 I’ve lost interest in some or most of a book series because of the filler in the books to stretch the series out but this didn’t happen to me with this series at all!! It finished even stronger than it started imo.

What is weird about this book is that I liked Black more in this book however I didn't really believe the story line with the character. Elena continued to get on my nerves and even though Jonah is suppose to become more alpha I just never get that vibe from him.

Listen I was super upset with how things ended in book 2, but Ann came in and gave us the best ending possible for this series.

The character and relationship growth between Jonah, Black, and Elena was everything I had hoped for. It was pretty touch and go when it came to Black, I’m 100% a Jonah girl, but it was good to see that he really is capable of change and wasn’t a total asshat. Elena really stepped into her role as omega/Luna, and Jonah… I can’t say much about that without giving spoilers, but I was over the moon.

I hate saying goodbye to these characters, and hope they pop up again in Pluto’s book!

This was the final book in the trilogy and I definitely enjoyed the resolution to all of the series-long plot threads, especially Jonah finding his place in the pack and with the trio. I never got the in-depth shifter world-building I typically like but in the end that didn't bother me so much. A few steamy (extra if you are a tamer reader) scenes but really more about story than that aspect, and never once did I think this series was dark at all, though there is some light violence if you are an especially squeamish reader. Happy to see the happy ending for them and boy did I love Matthew - great character! I'll enjoy returning to the world for the side character Pluto's book the author mentioned in the back too.

This is definitely my favorite book in the trilogy. My heart belongs to Jonah, but I did find things in Black that I really liked. He went through more of a character growth in this book and I think he finally did right by Elena.

Once again we see Elena struggle with her wolf, her own emotions, and the world around her. My heart was definitely breaking for her when she felt like she almost lost one of her mates.

I think my favorite part of this book was the ending. I was really satisfied with how things went down. I don't want to spoil it for people, but I think fans of this series will love it.

Depraved, the third book in the Feral Princess series by Ann Denton, was absolutely the best conclusion ever and utterly impossible to put down once you started reading!!! Denton is a master at creating a flawless storyline with an intriguing plot full of captivating characters that make you feel everything that they do and this story was no exception!

Elena, Jonah and Black have all come so far throughout this series, I absolutely love seeing how they’ve grown and finally come together as a team. These characters have all grown and evolved beautifully throughout the story and I love the depth that we get to see with each one, and the sacrifices that they were each willing to give for the others. And finally seeing all previous questions and issues come to an end, with the villains getting his due, was perfection!

Overall if you’re a fan of dark ménage, hot as hell wolf shifter omegaverse romance stories, then this one’s for you! With a compelling story about a hot possessive alpha male that wants nothing other than to claim his omega, a sexy but sweet beta elite coming in to his own and a fierce omega that learns that taking control sometimes means giving in all combined with a lot of hot sexy time this series is a definite must read!

First off, thanks so much to this wonderful author for gifting me a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review! All thoughts and opinions below are mine.

Depraved was the culmination of all the dark drama set forth in the two tumultuous first installments of this series and it did not disappoint!! I could not have stopped reading this book if my life had depended on it. I had such high hopes for Elena, Jonah, and Black and this ending exceeded all my wildest dreams!

Black’s development as a hardcore pack leader was astounding; he is by far and away my favorite shifter alpha all the paranormal romances I’ve read. Jonah owns my heart and soul, however, and I was SO HAPPY to see these two males learn to level with one another. Elena’s POV chapters, once again, feel like home to me, as she still grapples with her fate and comes to terms with who she is meant to be as Luna.

By the end, I was teary-eyed and so sad to say goodbye to these three. This author’s writing style is entirely compelling, totally engrossing, and forever one of my favorites. Be sure to read up on the trigger warnings before you dive in, but I can highly recommend this series to fans of dark paranormal romance, especially if you love shifters, omegaverse, and/or reverse harem!

Entertaining ending to the trilogy

This is the happily ever after I needed from this trilogy and Ann Denton delivered. There are a lot of lessons featured in this book like being true to yourself and understanding that sometimes people can’t change.

After the explosive (literally) ending of book 2 I was anxiously waiting to see the results of the fallout of those events. There was so much action in this book and it kept you on the toes right until the very end.

This book did, and didn’t, focus as much on the relationship, it was more of realizing the dynamics and figuring out how to work together as a cohesive unit. There was also a decent amount of character development, both good and bad, from certain characters. Especially some you wouldn’t have thought of and I was very excited to learn that there will be a spinoff with a certain character. I would also love to see a novella or spin-off for our favorite butler.

This was such a sweet ending to the trilogy,
I loved how everything worked out and enjoyed every minute of it.

Wowzers!! This is tehbest series i have read from this author and one of teh few recently where i have been desperate for the next installment- Add to that the fact that it probably has the best ending i have read for a while. Ita amazing how the conclusion for this book is so right that you are left with no questions and a warm fuzzy feeling.
The not knowing keeps you on teh edge of your seat in this last installment and the plot twist are erpic! so there are ups and downs, punishments, sizzle, high heat and eventually love.
Elena and Black have a road to travel which includes Jonah and the pacj but they need to be strong to survive.
Amazing Series which is on the Dark side which normally i cant do but it didnt go into taboo's to much and this series was an addiction i willingly surrended to.

Overall I think this series was pretty good. Glad I read it, but I don't really know if I would want to read more by this author. I think my main problem with this book is the timing of everything. Like sometimes it would seem like a couple of weeks have passed and then the next thing you know they are saying its only been a couple of days. Like how did a three story pack house (mansion) get built in like 2 -3 weeks. I also felt like the three MCs just kept having the same problem and would only sort of fix it just for it to come back up later. The story was entertaining and the spice was great, but to me there were just too many things lacking for the series overall.

Ann brought together every single thread she'd explored throughout this trilogy and pull them together to make an absolutely epic conclusion. This book will give you all the feels, it will shatter you, it will set you on fire and it will fill you with love. Ann will make you question multiple people's intentions and integrity throughout just be prepared.

Elena blew my mind in this book, under no circumstances does she have it easy she is challenged at every turn. She puts her heart and soul into her own personal growth throughout and absolutely amazes me at the individual she becomes be the end of this book, especially when you think back to who she was in the beginning.

Jonah's depression and self doubt broke my heart, he questions everything in his life, himself, his feelings, Elena and her feelings, Black's intentions, other peoples opinions and he just drowns. He doesn't as for help and ends up adrift and alone clinging on by a claw. His journey of self discovery and worth is astounding and he becomes the best version of himself.

Black, this man, this alpha has truly met his match and has his past action thrown in his face with such intensity that he can do nothing but face it head on when hes made to look in the mirror and see the results of his past actions. Through his fight for his pack, his omega and his life he learns some heavy lessons that were well over due. Faced with the prospect of losing that which he most desires in the world Black finally becomes the alpha he can only be with Eleana.

Ann explores the best and worst, strengths and weakness of the main characters, she makes them grow and become the best versions of themselves. She put them through hell it made for exquisite, nail biting reading. I adored the closure this book brought to the trilogy it was just perfection.

Depraved is the finale of The Feral Princess series. It was chocked full of love, steam and tears too. I loved how Elena's relationship with Black and Jonah was the main focus of this book. Well at least I thought so. With all the ups and downs of all of them trying to work out their dynamic together. All whilst trying to cope with everything else that's going on around them. Elena seems to come into her own in this ending and it was great to read. I enjoyed reading it

Depraved is the third and final book in the Feral Princess series. An explosion has hit the pack house and chaos has ensued. What comes out of the destruction and mayhem are a lot of realizations and growth. Elena, Jonah, and Black get the epic ending they deserve. A great series and a well written story.

This was a pretty good conclusion to the trilogy. My attention was honestly in and out alot. There were some moments I was hooked and couldn't put it down and others where I couldn't seem to read on.

I enjoyed the unhinged serial killer plot and discovering the horrors of his past. I did feel like the stones he was leaving felt a bit redundant to continue especially since we knew who was leaving them.

But at the same time it did keep me on edge constantly without knowing what the next move the Black Knights will make. I kept trying to guess them but I only guessed right once.

I do wish the relationship between Joanah and Black was more devloped as to me it just feels like they're strangers who share a mate.

I loved the final battle! Who would have thought that about Joanah? I'm so glad he found his place within the pack and nobody could deny it!

The first time I read an OmegaVerse I read a sweetverse and surprisingly enough it was love at first sight. There was something about the concept that worked, even though I'm demisexual and need a little more to a book to enjoy it. I was a little unsure about OmegaVerse that isn't sweetverse, but I love Ann Denton so when I got offered arcs for this series I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did, because it seems that it's not just sweetverse I like.

Denton had quite a few loose ends to tie up in this book. Of course they have to find a way to deal with the Alpha's Son who is trying everything he can to wreak havoc. There is also the complicated relationship situation, where Elena bit Jonah and Black bit Elena. And then there is Elena's position in general, since she prepared her entire life to be an Alpha and is now all of a sudden an Omega. And therefore quite an atypical one.

And Denton truly takes her time to deal with everything. Just like she gives her characters room to break, to fight and to glue themselves back together. The aftermath of the explosion is done beautifully. Because Denton described everything, from the fear to the despair, to the hurt and the grief, we feel how big its impact is, how devastating this moment is. And when the focus is on one problem, Denton keeps on reminding us about the others.

Although Jonah and Elena had a lovely character arc and kept on growing and learning throughout this book, I think it's Black's arc that I liked best. Yes, in the first book he was this manipulative and possessive Alpha, but it's quite clear that he truly loves his Omega, that he is willing to make her comfortable, that he will do whatever he has to do if only it makes Elena happy. And just like Elena I couldn't help but love him in the end.

Depraved is the third and final book in Ann Denton’s Feral Princess series, and chaos is about to break out in full force with this book. But you’ll get a HEA, and an overall satisfying ending.
Depraved picks up where book two left off and continues forward. Elena is floored by the explosion that took out the pack house and those who were unfortunate enough to be caught inside. Stone Jr. has crossed the line for the last time, and Black intends to make him pay. The game of cat and mouse is on, but it’s going to be complicated on many levels. Jonah is struggling with his place now in the pack. His insecurities really come out to play. Elena is all over the place in this book. She cares about both, but she also gets wrapped up in herself more often than not.
This book is packed with a lot of good elements. Pluto may be a jerk from time to time, but I still love him and want more. Matthew is probably my favorite character hands down. LOL! The dynamics are engaging throughout this book and it’s a real page-turner of a novel. Elena really irritates me the most because she’s always quick to judge or condemn. She gets mad at Black for not talking to her about stuff, but her automatic go-to is to runaway when Jonah is feeling inadequate. I honestly feel more empathy for Black than her half the time because she just honestly acts like a brat all the time.
There is character growth and development which I like and appreciate, I just wish Elena had been given more growth. All in all, I loved reading this series and I’m a bit sad to see it end. I’m hopeful that we’ll get more from these characters in a spin-off. I’m rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I struggled with Elena

I pushed myself to try to finish this and I just can't the whole time through the books it's just Elena being bi*** to Black while wanting another guy and after Black goes through everything trying to save her and her mate she is still a bi*** to him. And so I just jump to the last page and spoiler she is still a bi*** to him so he tells her to leave with her mate then she says he's rejecting her and cry's! What! This whole time she cry's about leaving black and then he says go and she bites him to mate. I don't like her and I'm over it now it's to late I'm not reading the next book.

Black became better.
Elana was an absolute migraine.
Jonah was just a push over.

Idk I never really felt this trio.

The fact is Black would have never liked Elana if she wasn’t an omega, and Elana would have always pushed Jonah around until she found someone else. And Jonah was helpless to do anything because of his wolf. Also I felt the beta elite was kinda stupid. It was just tossed in without a care in the world hoping to stick. Maybe if it was mentioned in the first book or something so it doesn’t feel random. But it felt like it was just said and done to give Jonah more pages.

Overall it could have been very interesting but after book one it took a nose dive for me in the plot.

I liked it but elena was guilt tripping Jonah. You saw he was doubting himself thinking If that was really what he wants. And elena keeps guilt tripping him. And he couldn’t say no bc he loved her WAY to much. So that was something I didn’t like. I did like black in the end but not in de middle and in the beginning. He was way to controlling. I did like the ending in the series . He became selfless in the end where he gave Elena to Jonah in the end. Would recommend this book

So she argues all the damn time. And simps after the golden retriever boy. And argues pointlessly and unreservedly with the Alpha. This series started so good. Although the second book was 5 % plot with a load of sex thrown in. But there’s no character development. Like she’s 21. Just show a bit of maturity. This girl is so annoying.

This is the final book in the Feral Princess series. While it was an interesting story arc, for some reason I didn't LOVE the series, or this book. It was OK. It's definitely an "omegaverse" lite story. If you're heavy into that genre, I don't think this series will fulfill your wanton desires. If you've never dipped your toes into that genre, buckle up because there's a lot of "stuff" about this genre that may not be for the timid or easily triggered reader. The OV trope itself can have some variations - depending on the author's worldbuilding. Make sure you read the author's trigger warnings in the beginning of the book . . . and heed them!

Noteworthy things about this universe of characters . . .
1) The pack hierarchy is much different here than I have read before, at least this is the first OV wolf shifter series I have read. All other OV stories I have read have been sci-fi romance. Probably because of it's OV roots. There are multiple alpha's in this wolf pack with one of our MMC, Black, as the true alpha of the "Lobo" pack (very original *rolls eyes*). Anyway, I've never seen a wolf pack with more than one alpha, unless it was a menage, then maybe 2. But never a bunch of them.
2) Alphaholes are very prevalent in OV stories with a specific way about them. In this pack, all wolves - no matter their designation; alpha or betas - vie for a ranking. I've also never read a book where pack ranking was so important. It was an interesting spin on "normal" pack hierarchies.
3) Black's butler, William, is the most delightful surprise of the entire series. He's what the author describes as a "glimmer." He's a human with no wolf, but because he has grown up in pack society, he can stay on pack lands and serve the pack. So while human, he definitely understands all there is to know about the pack hierarchy and so Black's "odd" behavior as an alpha with an omega mate doesn't phase him. His sarcastic sense of humor was on point and I loved every moment he was on the page.
4) A "glimmer is a shifter born to wolf shifter parents, but their wolf never comes in. Therefore they cannot shift. Shame really, to be part of such a magical community but never able to really take part in it. Anyway, because of this, these "glimmers" are used a lot by the pack to be their liaison to the human world. In the area surrounding the pack, a lot of glimmers have opened businesses. They serve not only the human population, but are also there to help the pack get the things they need without drawing too much attention to themselves. I rather liked this interpretation of wolf shifter society.

Honestly, I don't have a single thing to point to to explain why I didn't enjoy this series more. I have read other OV series, so I'm not clutching my pearls over the genre. Sure, some parts of it are a little tough to swallow (sorry for the pun) but I didn't let that influence my rating. I did like the FMC, although she did grate on my nerves a bit in this book. Of course even though she's an omega she challenges her alpha mate . . . riiiight. I did like multiple POV's here so I was not stuck inside her head for the entire series. It was very interesting to see what was going on in her other mate, Jonah's, head. His thought were particularly gut wrenching at times.

In any event, I wouldn't tell you not to read this series - unless you hate the OV genre. But if you really want to see this done well, I would recommend The Alpha Horde series by Milana Jacks or Quarantine Omega by Lizzy Bequin.

Boy were we left on quite the cliffhanger with Defiled. Thomas Stone was caught leaving a note for Black on the pack house grounds which leads to a chase where he inevitably gets away before blowing up the pack house. Jonah and Pluto are both in bad shape, but recovering. Unfortunately, other pack members weren’t so lucky. While trying to assimilate the packs, Black finds out that Thomas is deranged and always has been, so he recruits Elena to help him find out more about him from other pack members who may be more comfortable talking to an Omega than the new Alpha who just rolled into town. Things don’t go well and Black sends Elena back to the Lobos pack while they hunt him down in Dark Night territory. Elena isn’t convinced that Thomas is in their territory and tries to convince Black, but he dismisses her ideas. Instead, she is sent back to start planning their wedding, which of course she is thrilled for. Once Jonah and Pluto are healed, Pluto starts trying to train Jonah to become the Beta Elite, which is a beta wolf that can become their monster version and actually fight instead of cowering and back down. As Elena and Black become closer, Jonah starts to feel like he’s losing Elena even though he has been coaching Black on all things Elena. Things are coming to a head with Thomas Stone, soon it becomes clear exactly what he’s after, but will it be too late for Black to realize?
I have absolutely no notes saved after reading the final installment of the Feral Princess trilogy. I was enraptured by the story and on the edge of my seat the entire time. I couldn’t put the book down, I’m pretty sure that I read it in about a day. Elena’s character comes so far in this book, and the way Denton brings everything to a close is great. It was well edited and I don’t recall any point where I was pulled out of the story. Still a little grossed out by the 20-year age gap, but other than that, the entire trilogy was amazing. I hope to read more by Ann Denton in the future.

Dark Omegaverse Perfection!
Book 3 of the Feral Princess trilogy

Genre: Omegaverse
Tropes: love triangle, fated mates, possessive alpha, Alpha+Omega+Beta dynamic, psychotic villain, found family, shifters
Spice: 4/5 dom/sub dynamic, MFM and MF
Content Warnings: violence, threat of sexual assault, off-page sexual assault of a side character mentioned
POV: 1st person POV, alternating between 2 MMC's and FMC
Medium: read on Kindle Unlimited

We start out right after the explosive ending of book 2. Tragedy has struck the pack. As the Lobos mourns and searches for survivors, Elena steps up as Luna and gains respect from some of the pack.

The story mostly follows Elena and Jonah's POV.

We see Jonah recover from his injuries, but his wolf is not settled and his place in the pack is unstable. Elena claimed Jonah, but she is claimed by Black. Where does that leave Jonah, a lowly Beta?

The nefarious plot to destroy the Lobos is the B plot. It is exciting and dangerous. Alpha Maddox will do anything to keep Elena safe and protected, but at the same time, he wants to install her as the Luna for the entire pack, including the territories that they are absorbing from other packs. They go on a mission to the south to delve into the villain's past and search for leads. All is eventually revealed and resolved in a surprising and exciting way.

Elena is stuck in the middle of two men: the one she chooses, and the one her wolf chooses. The love triangle plays out deliciously.

I really loved this series. It is fast-paced, sexy and exciting. The characters are well developed and the banter is entertaining. The spice is over-the-top hot. Would love to read more from Ann Denton!

Finding a place within a pack can be a huge challenge. Certainly is for Elena, whose fierce independence and badass human form is in a huge contrast to her omega wolf. She is suffering, forced into submission, many choices taken away from her, and unable to recognize the situation as opportunity as she never wanted this life in first place. Jonah has it no easier - being a beta mated to his best friend and the omega that is stolen by alpha Maddox. He can't win, but the mating bond also puts him in impossible place. And Black has his hands full with many issues too. The most important one? Thomas Stone.
If you are a fan of some darker kink thrown into the PNR story, this might be a book for you. Elena's hand is often forced by alpha command, her will and choices taken away, and the helplessness puts her into a fiery, emotional state. The hitting heads is balanced by much gentler and sweeter relationship with Jonah, and that guy has win my heart over pretty fast. I never pretended that I liked Black, and all in all I was willing to admit exactly one redeemable choice in the whole trilogy (no spoilers here though). But I believe there are many readers who enjoy dominant alphaholes in their books. I was team Jonah until the end and no outcome would change that :) Otherwise it was a nice read, I bet many readers get the urge to slap a few of the side characters, but that just proves the ability to create a strong bond with the main characters and emotional response to the story, which is much appreciated.

I was so excited when I saw the third installment of Ann Denton's The Feral Princess series was releasing. I've been dying to know what happens with Elena, Alpha Black and Jonah. If you enjoy omegaverse books that are dark and sexy, you will love these books.

Depraved picks up where Defiled (Book 2) left off. I don't like giving any spoilers so here are the things I will say:

Alpha Black... his arc throughout this series has been great and in this book especially, we really see his growth and change from the alpha we met back in Defiant two books ago. I absolutely fell in love with his character in this book.

I was so curious how Ann would finish out Elena, Black and Jonah's stories and how they would impact the overall pack dynamics. This was woven beautifully into the story and we really got a sense of the characters struggles and where they ultimately landed. There are so many interesting characters in the pack that I would love to see their stories in the future... and I will be on the lookout for them! :)

Finally the spice - the spice in these books is fantastic. Definitely 4-5 peppers for all you spicy romance lovers.
