Quinton: Heading to Coventon with my progeny, I never expected to run into Melissa. A lifetime ago she was my best friend’s progeny and lover – and I was attracted to her then. Now, she’s here and she’s single — and I can’t stop thinking about her… wanting her. Then he showed up.
Melissa: Quinton was my maker’s best friend decades ago. When he showed up at Sanguine for the Vampire’s Samhain Ball I practically choked on my drink. He seemed more regal, built, and gorgeous than I remembered him – and I’m pretty sure he’s flirting with me even though he brought along some perky blonde. To make matters more difficult, my maker, James, just showed up, too – alone – and he’s trying to get back together with me. I know who I want, but I also have loyalties.
Melissa is a vampire she owns her own interior design company while putting up streamers for the vampire queens party an old friend walks in Quinton while she was dating his friend they flirted with each other but nothing ever happened now Quinton has brought a date while Melissa is single she’s never gotten over her crush on Quinton but there’s nothing she can do about it now and it really disappoints Melissa. There is so much more going on in this short story but I will let you find that out for yourself, this is a fantastic story I loved it and the characters and I highly recommend this book.
Quinton was on his way to Coventon with his progeny when he saw Melissa at the bar, decorating for the Vampire Queen’s party. When they first met, Melissa was his best friend’s progeny and she and James were lovers. With both of them single now, he was definitely interested in her. She also had been attracted to Quinton, and he looked even better now. He had a blonde with him, but she was sure he was intentionally flirting with her… at least until James, her maker, walked in the door alone. And worse, James wants her back. Has she once more lost her chance to be with Quinton? Or will she stand up for herself and try to refuse James?
I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind, and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading, I could not put it down until I read the last page.
