We really enjoyed learning about animals and science through this book that pairs week by week with classical conversations’ curriculum. We looked up many videos in response to our own intrigued curiosity over it all, and felt an increased connection to things like Epeira spiders and dung beetles. Ha! So cool.

I loved reading this aloud to my 7 year old. I appreciate the beautiful and rich language. She gave narration after each chapter. The introduction has great advice on using this book to savor creation. Super helpful for parents new to Classical education.

Loved this reader. The vocabulary challenged me but it was wonderful. I look forward to reading it aloud again next time we do cycle 1 with classical conversations!

Wasn't sure what to expect, slow going at first but we got into it toward the end! Some of the info is a little dated since it's from 1912 😅
