To celebrate the 10th year of the Paradise Icon writing workshop, this volume contains eight stories from workshop participants. Herein you will find the following stories:
Chris Bauer “Shoggoth in a Jar” Doug Engstrom “So Much Depends” Athena Foster “Sown Men” Ransom Noble “Monster” Shannon Ryan “Screwed” Catherine Schaff-Stump “O-Taga-San” Emily Vakos “Damsel” Stephanie Vance “Troubleshooting Earth”
All the proceeds from the sales of these volumes will go toward support Icon, the science fiction convention that hosts the workshop.
Cath Schaff-Stump writes fantasy for children and adults. She writes funny stories, dark stories, and everything in between. She is the author of the Klaereon Scroll series and the Abigail Rath Versus series. Cath lives and works in Iowa. She hosts the blog Fantastic History and writes the Substack column The Crone.
Caveat: I've worked with these writers for years, and I think they are all very talented. This is a charity event for the con that hosts our workshop. The stories herein are emotional highs, ranging from funny to serious. This is an awesome book.
Some very enjoyable stories collected from an annual writer's workshop at the Icon convention in Iowa. I liked most of these adventures. A good mix of serious an humorous stories based on SF, Horror and Fantasy sub genres.
