As they work, they each find themselves making mistakes. As Baker Aker helps them to learn, mistakes happen and we just do our best to make things right and move along.
What I loved: This is another really fantastic early reader from the Daniel Tiger series. This book teaches about how to deal with making mistakes - something everyone, even grown ups, do. The story models a few different mistakes and the tailored ways that each character figures out to fix them. This is perfect for preschoolers who are figuring out how to handle emotions and what to do when mistakes happen. The illustrations are colorful and detailed, bringing the story and emotions to life. The text is large and clear, making this great for a pre-reader to be read aloud to preschoolers - a great story that they can follow along with.
Final verdict: A delightful early reader that teaches about making mistakes, BAKING DAY! is a great new Daniel Tiger story that caregivers and children can both enjoy.
Daniel Tiger and Prince Wednesday bake cookies with Baker Aker, learning along the way about how to fix mistakes by making the best of them.
Although Paul and I don't like to read a lot of books to Lily that feature junk food, the cookies weren't the main point of this one. It had a lot of good detail about the baking process and encouragement that a mistake isn't the end of the world. A keeper.
