When had my life turned into trying to survive a war? It felt like just yesterday I was a ‘mostly’ normal girl. Okay, maybe being a shifter-witch hybrid meant I’d never been normal, but at least I’d led a quiet life.

We might have struck back at Councillor Stone, but it was only a matter of time before he made his next move. It was time for the pack to get serious about how we were going to survive the mess we’d been dragged into. That meant learning new magic and embracing a role I’d been trying to ignore.

When the fight comes to us and we have to leave the packlands, were we really going somewhere safe, or could it be possible that we still had no idea who we were really fighting? Power seemed to attract violence in our world and it was time to decide if we were going to fight back or find another way to survive.

perfect ending

Spice:3.5/5 - good and well written.
Wow. What a wonderful way to end a truly great series. I hope CJ Cooke is planning on spin off series for the kids and our favorite dragon. This series had so many fights and problems to solve, at times it was overwhelming, but everything was wrapped up so beautifully. I would have liked to see if they had their own kids and maybe a little more of their life after the fight, but the ending was still grand. Cons: I hated how often we were told the characters felt like something was off (like every chapter) and then it’d be nothing, it always felt like strong foreshadowing then it’d be like oh well guess my instinct was wrong. Made you second guess the characters decisions a lot for nothing. Overall an amazing series and a great spin on a shifter story.

Hidden Moon by CJ Cooke is a paranormal reverse harem romance. This is the fourth book in The Stoneridge Pack series.

I absolutely love Catherine's books! I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed getting Calli, Tanner, River, Grey, Lachlan, and Maverick's point of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Catherine did a great job wrapping up Calli's story. I was so excited to see in the author's note that she is working on three spin-off books.

I would highly recommend this book if you love paranormal romances, reverse harem romances, or romantic suspense.

Well, I loved this entire series. Calli, Grey, River, Tanner, Maverick, and Lachlan are wonderful MCs, and the relationship between Tanner and Maverick becoming real brothers is really highlighted in this final installment. It is beautiful and sweet and made my heart full. Lachlan blossomed in this book, and it made me fall in love with him, even if he hasn’t been here long. Grey is a force of nature, obviously, and River is the one in the background, quietly holding everything together. Calli is so well-written, it’s almost not fair. She’s good to her core, but not a Mary Sue at all. These characters have been a little nugget of peace and happiness and I’m grateful they exist.

Let’s talk about side characters though. Holy crap. I don’t know how CJ Cooke does it, but I CARE SO DAMN MUCH ABOUT THE SIDE CHARACTERS. Particularly Holly and Jean. Cooke makes it point to say that Jean and Holly SEE Calli. They both see what she has done for them individually and as a pack, and they want to be there for her in return, in their own ways, at different points in this story. But their purpose in the story is not just “be there for Calli”. They are complete characters with friendships and relationships of their own, and I love that the space was created for such a full, rich cast of characters.

This series is definitely one for the reread shelf. In a genre that can feel a bit same-y same-y, thank you Stoneridge Pack for being something special. ♥️

This book took me forever to read. It was good, but I felt like it kept dragging on. Also the ending still left some unanswered questions with some of the characters (Those characters have their own series now) I just wish it was wrapped up for the pack a bit more. Overall I think this series was great!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Disclosure: Aside from being a reverse harem book, there are a few scenes that depict physical, emotional, and psychological abuse that may trigger some readers. Take this as your warning. In my case, it triggered me to be frustrated but more towards the ones who inflicted it, and I felt for the characters involved.

Hidden Moon is the fourth and final installment in the Stoneridge Pack series. Reading Books 1, 2, and 3 are advisable before getting lost in the plot, characters, and concepts. This book starts directly where Book 3 ended - an epic battle! It will be a disservice to the whole story if readers miss one of the best battle scenes in the book to date.

The saga continues, and yes, this is the final book of the series! I am sad yet thankful since the series was exciting and addicting! I still needed to reread the previous book before diving back due to the new names, and admittingly, the last few chapters of Book 3 were the BOMB!

The Stoneridge pack grows as the book continues from the ending of the last with survivors taking shelter at Stoneridge Pack lands. The secrets shared in that secret lab that Calli and her mates destroyed were beyond imaginable! There was so much horror that the trauma affected everyone, even those not in the fight.

What to expect:-
1. Amazing powers unfold further for Calli and her pack. Yes, all her mates start to evolve in this book. It goes beyond the shifter/witch powers since Calli learns a lot more about her destiny and the roles of her five (5!!) mates in all this.

2. More politics and secrets about the Council, Calli's parents, and the "other entities" working behind the scenes unfold.
While dealing with trauma survivors, Calli and her mates start discovering a lot more of the politics of the Council and the "hidden agenda" they seem to brew behind everyone's backs. Too many backstabbing and betrayals make this final book an epic one. Each villain's explanation and goals floored me because they were all so twisted!

3. Sinister plots and new revelations - even within the pack's midst. The concept of mixed breeding and genetic chemistry are tackled - experimenting within themselves got "nasty" with dire consequences. I am still reeling over one of the characters, Jessa, on how she should supposedly see the future, plan and warn everyone, but not realize the one mistake that will directly affect her at the end.

4. Character growth and development finally come full circle in this book. Other new characters will be bringing in the trouble that moves the story to unexpected levels. This time, a few witches (again) cause the trouble in this book. Ironically, family relatives brought about more harm than help, which will frustrate anyone.

5. Epic battle brought me to my knees from start to finish! Why?!?! Because Calli's pack is still the underdog in everything - even with so much power, it can only go so far with the many enemies they face. My only comment - the ending felt a bit too simple, based on the previous endings. I was surprised by how things "went," but it felt a bit lacking, or was it supposed to be this simple?! I get that the author might want a more uncomplicated ending after the three previous books' gruesome and messy endings that brought so much horror and tragedy.

Overall, I love how the author wrapped up the series with Hidden Moon. Calli and her mates have gone through so much growth and self-reflection that it was impossible not to connect to one or more of them. The series explored many facets of life's teachings, healing, and hope. I am very excited about the hint of a spinoff with one or more characters in the series.

Started to lose interest by this book

I have just finished all 4 books in this series and am yet to write a review for any of them. I think the reason for this is I was still trying to work out my thinking in these books.
First up, obviously the storyline was enough to keep me reading through all 4 books. However, I must admit, this final 4th book was harder and took me the longest to read.
The storyline and world building across all 4 books is actually good. We have a world filled with shifters, witches, vampires, good vs evil, long term planning and a little world domination never goes astray.
Where it falls down, it's wordy and a little long-winded. I noticed this in the first couple of books, the pack would determine something needs to be done .... And then just not get to it. I don't think I've ever seen so much procrastination in a book series before. Of course the author plays it off as " there's just so much going on", but seriously, who makes a ward that requires people to get tattoos and then just put off the tattoos until after disaster happens? I'm the earlier books this was a little easier to deal with, but by the time the reader gets to the 4th book, and we get pages and pages of writing about 1 thought, well I was pretty done, the book dragged and I was losing motivation and started to skim through all the unnecessary words. Book 4 feels like 1 of the longest books I've read in a long time.
The ending ... It was ok, kind of anticlimactic. I do feel like the author has made options for multiple series to come from these 4 books, but no thank you. I don't regret reading these 4 but I'm not ready for and other from this universe.

WOW. Callie and her mates survived and fought so hard. Not only to be together but for their pups, and for their pack. CJ Cooke was great at building up anticipation of war in this final book and delivering that war.

Callie accepting her fate was beautifully done as Pack Queen. Her mates having their own magic, some of the answers we found out during this book really tugged at my emotions. I think that’s what I have loved from the start was that despite who had magic, who can shift, that sense of belonging after being so lost meant so much to all of them. Callie got things done, she always had a purpose, she fought, she cried, she loved, and she owned that pack!

I think there is so much room and promise for more with side characters too. Like Sean, his sadness and ruggedness, so many questions about him and his dragon!

This book was an emotional, powerful, fighting way to end the series and overall I think it was a fantastic PNR series.

Callie, Lach, River, Tanner, Mav, and MY Grey, all developed so much emotionally and magically! Each start to leak power and I loved what that meant to them and to the pack.

With so much going on from the last book, of taking in other shifters, witches, etc. Grey is moving everyone forward in a new and better direction and the epilogue was just what they all deserved!

It was steamy, dangerous, emotional, and magical! I will miss them.
That threesome scene with Grey ordering his beta around and edging him and Callie. Damn. TY FOR THAT ahaha!

Oh Side Note: I love the bromance btw Davion (vampire) and Grey (alpha wolf) !!!

This book series wasn't the best I ever read but neither was it the worst. But the fmc like I've said before us a whiny brat and never listens and puts stuff off she's supposedly 20yrs old but acts like a 5yr old most of the time with all her tantrums. Idk the author just dropped the ball on the fmc. I could somewhat deal with the guys but even they got annoying at parts. It was also insanly long for no reason most of the books are so filled with fluff just to make it last longer that i kinda got bored to the point i skipped and skimmed a pretty good bit and was able to keep up with the plot which goes to show its just mostly filler. The sexy scenes also was kinda repetitive and vanilla-ish boring. There was only 3 menege scenes and they were bland which is kinda shocking seeing as theyre meneges lol only the last one was hot but not as hot as it could of been. This book series was just ehh if that makes sense. Also I get that this is a fictional book but I personally like when authors try to show in some way that the characters are adults who go about intimacy maturely because even though this book is 18+ doesn't mean that younger ones won't read it. So they need to see the mature way of thinking of intimacy and the possible concequences of not going about it in a safe way especially during the times we are living in. Anywho this doesn't detract from the story but it does in the rating I'll give it.

All the mother Fkn tears. Seriously I have loved Calli’s journey from the very beginning and I have been so invested in her and her mates he!! All the characters in this series.

There are so many truly amazing moments throughout this story that will have you not only shedding a tear or two but also have your heart bursting at the seems. The kids aka the pups are absolutely to die for. Cherry Bomb and the boys gave me so much life. This pack has seriously been put through the ringer and just when you think they are going to get a breather something else is thrown their way and they always come back stronger than the time before. Calli’s growth in this final book was leaps and bounds her finally accepting who she truly is and what she wants her future to become with her mates standing by her side.

CJ I truly have no words that I can express how truly amazing not only this book but the entire series is. This world you created is nothing short of perfection I couldn’t have asked for a better conclusion to Calli’s story. The ending is so her!! I am so sad to see these characters go but I am really hoping we get to see them again in the future with maybe some spin offs for some characters especially the kids and Sean!!!

Our favorite pack is at it again, trying to tackle the enormous chore that has been placed upon them. There are twists and turns and so much growth. And oh the betrayal, I didn't see it coming. It doesn't end all neat and tidy, there are unresolved items (at least 3 but only 2 are kinda big, one small lose thread), so if you were hoping this would be the end, I will be the bearer of bad news and say that isn't so. If you were sad thinking this was the end and you would lose your favorite rag tag group, there are still things unresolved so at least another book or 2 could be coming. The spice is spicing in this book, more so than the others. To be completely honest, there was a time or two where I was wishing all the spice would stop so we could get back to the issues at hand. Like come on people, the world is ending and you have time for that much spice? The kids are of course present, it felt like they were less present about half way through though.

"Hidden Moon" is the epic ending of "The Stoneridge Pack" series; one of the few series where I actually feel like every book is just as good or even better as the previous one. On the one hand I loved how massive this book was, but on the other hand it felt like torture to have to wait sooooo long to find out how the series would actually end! Seriously: why do people think we can still work, look after the kids and do household chores when we are in the middle of a book like this?

I have read all these books in the last month and now I'm struggling, because I'm not entirely ready to let go of these characters. Luckily the author mentions some spin off books and series that I'm really looking forward to! I became intrigued with characters like Sean, Davion, Cassia, Wells, Keelan, ... and I would love to find out more about the pups once they grow up. So many possibilities... All the more reason to diligently stalk C.J. Cooke to find out more as soon as possible!

Engaging

This series was extremely engaging. I loved the characters and was hooked by the plot ( I need more cherry bomb!) plus the pacing was perfect for my mood. In the first two books there were some gramatical issues that were not continued in books 3 and 4 which made them even more enjoyable. Additionally, there were enough threads left dangling to entice me to read any spin-offs. My only critique is that there was some lack of consistency on matters that were non-essential to the plot. A few examples are that every character at some point had brown eyes ( those that had eye color given as a physical descriptor) even if they had green or blue eyes prior. Also the alpha saw 12 soldiers in the woods but during and after the fight there were 9. There were others but this was a small issue. Overall, this was an exciting and fun series. I would recommend!

It took me a long, looooong time to finish this series. I think it's too long and the plot isn't so interesting. Tbh, this is the first series that I was TIRED with the characters, mainly the FMC. Too much happening and not enough. I mean, Callie couldn't get a break. This is a girl in her early twenties we are talking about and she has waaaay to many responsibilities. I thought adding the kids was too much. Also all the side characters weren't interesting enough for me. Sometimes I forgot poor River was around lol. I would have enjoyed more romance, more relationship development instead of all the chaos and bs. Some things could have been solved early on. Anyway, it was okaish. I wanted a epilogue focusing on the main characters not Jean getting turned, geez.

Oh wow

I am sorry but I couldn't leave a review as I was so caught up in the story that I just had to binge read it all at once. I'm so very thankful that I found this completed series. I'm not gonna lie I totally skimmed a lot if the sexy scenes as I couldn't wait for the story to continue. I'm telling you it was getting so close to the end I was scrolling so slow cause I was afraid of finding a devastating cliffhanger and I would have to wait. Heck I still feel there is more.
If you haven't started this series , do it now. You won't regret it one bit. Its an awesome ride. And yeah I will be following the author impatiently waiting for more.

I hate to say that Hidden Moon is the fourth and last book in the Stoneridge Pack.

For me it all started with Wolf Hunts, that is when I first learned about CJ Cooke and

I have been obsessed with her ever since.

I liked that the book was from different POV's like Calli, Tanner, River, Lachlan, Grey and Maverick's version of events.

I also appload her for making the side-characters amazingly involved. Not to much but also not to little.

I loved how CJ wrapped up Calli's story. I even love the fact that there will be 3 more

spin-off books.

For the paranormal romance lovers and of course RH lovers, this series is made for you.

An epic conclusion for a wonderfull world.

The storyline finally comes to an end. It was as she pointed out a little anticlimactic. The father finally got what he deserved, but still, it went down a little too fast for my liking, considering all the drama he put their mate through. The counsel members were assholes from start to finish except the one who held his cards close to the vest.
The dude betryaed her, but for good reasons. Then, at least he had the common sense to try and save her.
Now, if it were me and that Evilllyna came around, I would have pointed out how big of cry baby she was when she was screaming like a wench after the escape she made.
Some people just don't get it. Power just wasn't meant for everyone.

DNFing at 30%
I can’t bring myself to read any more of this, but I can’t not count this book. I’ll be skipping ahead to find out what happens….

2 ⭐️ for the series
My god it was painful trying to get through this. The plot was so interesting and had a ton of potential. But there was soooooooo much unnecessary filler! It started out strong and I actually enjoyed the 1st book, the 3rd book I found myself reading the first sentence of a paragraph and then skipping the rest because it was so repetitive and not needed.
Finally when I hit the final book, at 30% I realized I was skipping whole pages just to get to what was actually happening in the story.

Wow!

Wow! That was one hell of a conclusion for one hell of a series! I have completely enjoyed every single book in this series and I am truly looking forward to more adventures in this world, so many possibilities. Normally, I am someone who can see where the twist and turns are going to lead me, but I can honestly say that I did not see those cliffs that I fell off of. Brava! To an incredible author who can pull that off. I look forward to reading more by this author and I would definitely recommend giving this series a try.

I've absolutely loved this series and the journey it takes you on.

Spoiler ahead
The only thing I found disappointing is the finale battle. It was quite anticlimactic, there's been a big build up to the battle and how their going survive/win it. The battle didn't last long and felt there wasn't enough fighting. It seemed too easy. Stone and his pack were made to be a huge threat especially with zoe but yet they lost fairly easily against callie's pack with their animage powers.
I still found the book/series a great read with amazing lovable characters.

This book as well as the other 3 in the series were a rollercoaster of emotions from laughing to tear jerking moments to heartfelt moments that you just can’t help but smile and awe at. The amount of spicy blended into the book and wasn’t overly or underly done.

The FM had the performance combo of kickass and compassion.
The mates all had their own personalities that made them all lovable.
The character growth in this series was amazing.

I love how CJ Cooke writes her series and couldn’t recommend this series any more than I could 😍 It is a must read for all RH fans.

Served with Yorkshire Pudding!!

Ok, I have to say I loved All the characters, all were well developed and very likable or Hateable, you can’t help but love the pups and you just know they should have their own book in the future!!!! Please!!!! The villains are villainy and need to die!!! The not so villainy but not really good characters are some Shady arse people that needed to get got and in some cases they did, made for a very good read over all… and was all served with Yorkshire pudding! Read it!!! It’s good and I recommend it so there is that…🙃

Hidden Moon is the epic conclusion to this amazing series!
The Stoneridge Pack gather forces with their allies to take down Councillor Stone and put a stop to his crimes against the shifters. This was an amazing, heart pounding and action packed book. I thought it was a fitting end to this amazing series and am so happy there will be more to come from a few of the characters.
If you love shifters, witches, vampires and other supernaturals than you should definitely check out this series!

A big part of me was sad to see this book it meant an end to a series. However, I can see a spinoff hint!
We finally get answers to a lot of questions. questions about Sean, the council, her parents just to name a few. The story everything you could possibly want. Love, esteem, enemies, suspense, drama, laughs (Tanner). So if you haven't read the first three I highly suggest you do because this book was amazing.

good series with a weird ending

I did enjoy the books. This one was drawn out and then rushed at the end. Like 95% and that’s when the big bad happens and is then immediately over? Why didn’t they just do what they did immediately? What’s the point? Learning there are going to be three spin off series - why - it was a crazy rushed and knowing we won’t get these POVs again was upsetting. I did like the characters though.

Ahh the last book where the secrets are finally revealed… eventually… and war to prevent war is a thing (I think it’s like a controlled burn in fire fighting). Anyway, it was a good end. The spice is there but not overwhelming. Still plenty with the kids running their mayhem and the delightful Abby (Cherry Bomb might be a favorite nickname for me). Strong finish. I’m going to read the spin-offs now. I’m gonna need some more Cassia and Davion.

Good Ending

I really liked how this book wrapped up. Not all of the plot threads are resolved but it sounds like we’re getting more into this universe. Overall, this is an amazing series. The characters have depth, the writing pulled me in and held my attention. It was way too easy to get lost in the words. Love it!

Captivating

This is the first shifter book series ive read since the Patricia Briggs series, that has really capivated me. I couldn't put it down. Lots of action and story line, and just the right amount of steamy sex, magic and family morals. Good character building. Makes me want to know more about Sean, and wishing there was a book five.

What an Amazing Finish

CJ, you out did yourself with final part to the Stoneridge Pack story. You took care of business and left some possibilities for more. Sean's story? The kids? The Vampires and where did they go? Hope you develop some of the these questions into offshoot stories.

Hidden Moon, the fourth book of the Stoneridge Pack series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). The story line was the most intense of the series. We know who the bad guys are, but the reader still has no idea when or how Stone will retaliate. This was my favorite book in the series...a strong ending.
