A must read for christians, this book teaches obedience and trust.

TRIGGER WARNING: For those who have experienced sexual and spiritual abuse, this may not be the book for you!
Overall the reason for a lower rating is because I have experienced spiritual abuse. While I absolutely respect everyone for how they conduct their relationship with God, as someone who was spiritually abused, it is not how I can conduct my relationship with Him. I still do read books on both sexual and spiritual abuse, this book took it to a different level which was very triggering for me.
Otherwise it was a good read. Reminded me a lot of Lori Wick(esp The Princess) and I esp loved Lura and really could empathize with her throughout the novel.
Sexual abuse is also mentioned although does not go in explicit detail.

This is a heartfelt Christian novel that explores love in its many forms; romantic, platonic, and spiritual. The story emphasizes the power of faith and trust in God to overcome life’s hardships. I read it quickly after receiving a copy from Bookworm Books, which for me meant it was captivating enough that I kept going back to it. Overall, it’s an inspiring story, even for readers who may not share the same religious beliefs. I appreciated many of the storylines and overall messages of trying to help others, showing people grace, love and support.

The novel Beautiful Wings is very remarkable; it centres on redemption and demonstrates the transformative power of God's love on a man.
Personally, Ikenna and Lara were my fave couple. I find Lara's narrative to be very strange, yet it was lovely to learn of her conversion to Christianity. She transformed from a brat into a compassionate and loving adult. The tale of Dayo and Nimi was a riot of colour and beauty. I prefer to think of Dayo as my guy because of the heartwarming way he loved Nimi.
I saw God's kindness and realised how crucial it is for us to ask God to take the lead in our lives by reading the story of Dapo and Nimi. In summary, beautiful wings teaches you about redemption, the love of the father, and his mercy. Prepare to shed a few tears here and there (winks, lol).

I'm a sucker for love any day any time. And so far this book is making me blush like a fool. The fact that it’s a christian book but the romance is still romancing is a huge plus! I love how Nimi and Dapo both want to do things Gods way. Seeing them make mistakes made the book a whole lot relatable. Honestly this book felt REAL without compromising Godly standards, most Nigerian christian fiction tend to not know how to bring balance in that area. But this is a book well done! So many lessons to be learnt in it not even just about dating relationships.

Wow! Loved this book from start to finish! If you are looking to do relationship God's way then this is a must read! I do encourage every christian single to read it.
One of the most important lessons I learnt is that obedience or disobedience has a ripple effect! After reading this book, I sat down to review my life and realised how true this is!

Oooh my God!!!!! What an amazingly well written book!!! Salvation is so sweet!!! I found myself crying in between the book and the book called me out in areas of my life where i have haboured pride, self righteousness and areas that I don’t trust God with.

The book showed me how even our most painful experiences can be part of something bigger. What feels like brokenness can actually be the beginning of a beautiful transformation,like wings that come after a season of waiting.
2. Our True Identity Comes from God
One of the most powerful themes i learnt is, who we really are is not based on our past or what others say, but on how God sees us. It’s a reminder that we’re fully known and deeply loved by Him.
3. Healing Doesn’t Happen Overnight
The story is honest about how healing can take time. It’s not always neat or quick, but God walks with us through every step. We’re encouraged to be patient with ourselves and trust the process.
4. Letting Go Brings Freedom
Forgiveness is a key part of the journey in the book. It shows how holding on to hurt only keeps us stuck, and how choosing to forgive even when it’s hard—opens the door to peace and freedom.

Beautiful wings changed my life in a way I can’t even put into words. I was at a place in my life where I could not even reading my Bible. I just lost my mom and I was hurting so bad. All I wanted was to get lost in the world of fiction to ignore the pain. I read this book and I was just reminded that God is a father. My anger dissipated. Nimi’s relationship with God despite the fact that she lost her dad too was a big one for me. God is dependable, intentional and he will save his children!
And the romance is hot hot hot!!! Didn’t put the book down until I finished it. Didn’t read it for a while so I could savour the book again. Would read it again soon. Thank you for writing this book Itunu Taiwo. Thank you!

Beautiful Wings is just that book! The book that will cause you to pray in the middle of reading. The book at will cause your emotions to be all over the place but yet eager to know what each chapter holds.
The life of Lara shows that no one is far too gone for God. The love of God is beyond our comprehension. I really don’t want to get started with the whole Soji, Aisha and Lara saga…I am holding myself back. Also, Ikenna’s heart is truly held by Christ Jesus!🥺
It’s truly the Lord that’s able to save a man, we are just vessels. The obedience of Nimi bore fruits that she couldn’t fathom. Obedience unto God is life.

Reading Beautiful Wings felt like sitting down with a close friend and hearing a story that’s honest, raw, and deeply encouraging. Itunu Taiwo has a way of weaving faith, love, and real-life struggles into a narrative that’s both relatable and inspiring. The characters felt so real—flawed yet full of potential, and I found myself rooting for them from the very beginning. What I loved most is how the book doesn’t sugarcoat life, but still manages to offer hope through every chapter. If you're into clean romance with depth and a strong faith message, this one will definitely speak to you. It stayed with me long after I turned the last page.

This will be my second time rereading this book and I'm still as moved reading it as I was the first time. It took me on a really beautiful journey that challenged me to examine my heart and my motives, and reminded me once more that the God I serve is a God who wants all of me and will not settle for anything less than first place. He's my first love and nothing or no one should dethrone Him from His position in my heart.
There were so many spirit-filled gems in this. So many! The characters were well-layered, and their portraits well-drawn. The story moved at a steady pace and took me both up and down and immersed me completely in its world. I watched the plot build and thicken, seemingly unravel and then be woven into something much more beautiful than it ever was.

This is one of my favorites Christian novels. it was so beautiful to see how Nimi's love for God was shown in her love for Dapo and others around her. How her ordinary life impacted other lives in an extraordinary way ❤️ it reminded me that God doesn't waste anything! God is intentional and uses very single detail to work his will in our lives.

I keep saying I'm shocked at the plot twist of Nimi and Dapo's separation, and it still remains the highlight for me. A spirit-provoking book that reminds us that attaining stature doesn't happen at once, but is rather a journey God is very involved in as well.

Itunu Taiwo’s “Beautiful Wings” is a beautiful artistic expression of the love of God towards us. I enjoyed how the author depicted Nimi and Dapo’s commitment towards loving each other, the right way. Also love how the plot cleverly balances across other story ideas. Good read!
