Call and Response, the first book in the author’s Homecoming Trilogy, is loosely based on Joseph Campbell’s Monomyth of the Hero’s Journey. The protagonist Narsula, must go on an epic quest to find his true identity and overcome his condition of malaise and despair. With astounding poems, a propelling narrative and four original drawings, it's a great beginning for a new poetic voice in contemporary literature.
