Story 1
Stephen is in a hospital bed with a broken hand suspended and in a cast. His non-private room is cleared out. Carol, his nurse offers to help him. Evidence of her visit will be carefully dealt with.
Story 2
Nina helps Stephen into the shower. There are some things you just can’t help. Nina becomes fascinated. Stephen will need another shower.
Story 3
Carol discovers Stephen’s laptop. Despite Carol’s previous knowledge, Stephen’s laptop provides tutoring.
Story 4
Keith Ashton has been in the hospital for a week. He got too drunk and got run over by a Cadillac at a party and wound up at the hospital. He flirts with Candy, the night nurse, who is just back from a vacation in Europe. It’s a total tease.

Amelia recognizes Victoria’s state and elects to take her on a horseback ride through the park instead of a carriage and walk. The two women return and Victoria meets James.

Victoria and James have a discussion about her attire. This is followed by sensations of both heat and cold. She returns the favor and there is an encounter with Charles.

As Charles wants his wife, Victoria, committed to Bedlam, we find he developed his opinion of Dr, Reeves only upon receiving a bill for his services. Amelia has a plan. But James has found out about an extra-marital relationship that Charles has been having.

Steve Williams has just landed a multimillion-dollar advertising account, has worked very hard and has an all-expenses paid vacation coming. But first, there is the drive from Chicago to Sioux Falls, where he lives. On the way, he stops at a truck stop and discovers there is a big accident 30 miles ahead. A detour and an accident put him into a hospital. He awakens with amnesia, not recognizing his wife, Linda, or anything before the day he woke up, intubated.
Story 22
Linda Williams tries to process the information about the accident Steve was in that Dr. Kensington told her about. She is not to tell her husband, as this could cause more problems in his recovery. Steve asks Linda about their history and she tells him about their past together, their children and his work. Dr. Kensington tells Steve he can go home the next day. Returning home with no memory of his life creates issues. Steve’s boss, Bob Jenkins, visits the day after he gets home. He reassures him.

Steve visits his doctor. He is healing but will still be wheelchair-bound. The doctor recommends a Dr. Tamasuki, a hypnotherapist in Cincinnati, to help him recover his memories. Something other than a preliminary visit to a hypnotherapist does trigger memories.

Steve visits the advertising firm’s office, to return papers and see if more memories return. The family takes Steve to his first hypnotherapy session and some memories from just before the accident return. Once home, Linda gets photos.
This story is not in keeping with the title of the book. There are no nurses, there is a medical thread but the story is more about the amnesia and the path Steve takes to try to get his memory back.

The narrator starts dating Adam, who has an exhibitionistic streak, saying that kink is usually introduced later in a relationship—except with Adam. After a tour on his laptop, she orders some toys that relate to medical fetishes and the two play with them.

Meg Thompson awakens in a hospital, attended by Dr. Smith and Kate, a Nurse. She has been in an accident and has just come out of a coma. Kate flirts with her.
Story 28
Kate brings Meg home, despite how improbable it would be for a hospital Nurse to provide visiting Nurse care. Kate cooks, bathes Meg and provides dessert. The author switches from Meg’s point of view to Kate’s.
Story 29
Back to Meg’s point of view. She has Jack as a boy toy and Kate as her girl toy. She wants a man her own age. Kate’s point of view, she had a relationship with a man who was abusive. Jack comes over and we get his point of view.
Story 30
Jack invites Meg and Kate to a fraternity party. Meg plans to sell her house and move into a condo. At the fraternity party, Meg meets Dean Greg Thomas. I have never heard of a college Dean being invited to a fraternity party. Greg and Meg hit it off.
Story 31
We open with Donna Faircloth having a really good time with Malcolm Johnson and learn her husband, Clay, is unaware. Donna and Clay seem to work on different shifts and their sex life has been put on hold because of that. While Clay and Donna are in a long-simmering feud, Malcolm’s wife is jealous and suspicious.
Story 32
We now shift to Malcolm Johnson’s point of view. Malcolm describes his wife, Brenda as not interested in sex and less curvy than Donna, but jealous and suspicious. He describes Donna as “goal-oriented.”
Story 33
Brad McKinnon gets out of Math to go see Nurse Masterson for a physical. The author doesn’t seem to know that Nurses don’t do complete physicals, physicians do and one has to have an appointment at the doctor’s office for that. Instead of Nurse Masterson, there is a Japanese woman named Mia Sakamoto who is there as a part of her med school internship. This is even more improbable as is the scene that follows.
At 39% of the way in, I am putting this book down.
First of all, the organization of the book is execrable, as there are several short stories with chapters in this book (as one can determine from my notes above) and there are no titles for the stories. The author clearly is writing mostly about nurses, which is dandy especially for those with a nurse fetish. But some stories don’t include that.
The stories vary in how good they are, some less, some more. It seems like the author just took a collection of short stories written over the space of a few years and put them into book form. If you’re really hot for nurses, this book is okay, but its organization leaves a lot to be desired.
