Non so cosa sia peggio.
L'ennesimo buco di sicurezza di un'isola che dovrebbe essere sicurissima, Wolverine che si fa fare una tavola da surf di adamianto e affilatissima perchè si, Wolverine che conosce una surfista sulla spiaggia e all'istante si innamora e gli spiffera dove siano i vari luoghi sensibili di Krakoa su una mappa che lei ha costruito apposta sulla spiaggia, il fatto che i surfisti basandosi sull'accuratezza nulla della mappa raggiungano attraverso la foresta la nursery e tornino indietro, senza incontrare anima viva... c'è l'imbarazzo della scelta.
E poi abbiamo le Naiadi che stanno scoprendo l'adolescenza e ormai per loro è partito il conto alla rovescia per il cambiamento, ma intanto vedremo la composta e matura reazione di Quentin quale sarà.
Insomma, il nulla cosmico.
Arricchito dalla presa per i fondelli in copertina, tra la "celebrazione" e la missione più mortale fino a qui...

... Really. If I could figure out how to give this review a side-eye gif, I would.
So, someone tried to make X-Force feel like a sunnier comic than it usually is. This issue focused on surfing Wolverine, and baby-sitting Quentin Quire. Wolverine got a gnarly adamantium surfboard because, I don't know, reasons. (Wouldn't the weight of the adamantium make it a terrible surfboard? I'm not an expert or anything. I just figure there's a reason why people don't use tungsten surfboards in real life.)
I despise Quentin Quire, so his new personality and costume just made him a little more tolerable. The fact he was willing to look after infants in this issue made him more human still. But my hatred of him was so deep, this still didn't put him anywhere near the category of me actually liking him. This issue showed his relationship drama with Phoebe of the Cuckoos. Which, okay. Whatever.
Wolverine gets seduced by a blond surfer stranger because, I don't know, he hasn't had a new love interest in a while? You would think he would have some degree of suspicion about her, if for no other reason than because he should be capable of smelling her emotions. But, apparently not. At first I had some hope that this blond was going to turn out to be Lifeguard, a Shi'ar-mutant hybrid we haven't seen for the better part of 20 years. But, no. Apparently not.
X-Force is usually a title about 3 field agents whom aren't particularly close friends, going out on assassination missions, while the occasional side character talks about how much they hate Beast. This issue feels like someone's attempt to distance the title from its dreary tone. The result feels vaguely... pandering?

More like 1.5. I planned on dropping this title a while ago but held on when the Colossus storyline was teased. That lasted all of two issues only to immediately revert back to the junk that made me want to leave. Done for real this time.

Not sure what I just read. surfing Wolverine was just weird, the Omega stuff was interesting seeing the relationship continuing to develop (or now ending?) and then random baby theft.
With the tag line on the front "deadliest mission yet" nothing actually happened.

Kid Omega has been babysitting this while time? Weird. You'd think Black Tom and Cypher would have worked out that security risk before now. The break from the constant action was nice though. The surfing scene was fun. Phoebe breaking up with Quenton is not gonna go well. Was it even her?
