Vivre une vie de victoire même au sein de la souffrance

John F. MacArthur, Jr. was a United States Calvinistic evangelical writer and minister, noted for his radio program entitled Grace to You and as the editor of the Gold Medallion Book Award-winning MacArthur Study Bible. MacArthur was a fifth-generation pastor, a popular author and conference speaker, and served as pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California beginning in 1969, as well as President of The Master’s College (and the related Master’s Seminary) in Santa Clarita, California.
This book has completely changed my perspective on suffering.
I've always understood that God uses suffering in our lives to mold us into the person He wants us to be. But I never fully grasped how the proof of our faith is so precious to God.
Now, when I encounter trials, and we've faced a couple of big ones in the last few months, I am truly excited about the prospect of giving God a gift that is precious to Him - my absolute trust, no matter the circumstance - the proof of my faith.
Just finished this up which means this Sunday will be my last sermon through 1 Peter. Macarthur's commentary is a tremendous help, especially in seeing the breakdown of Peter's thoughts. I found Macarthur's insights helpful as usual. :-)
