Hell's Angel #3

The Devil You Know

Rate this book
The world is burning, and I’m the one who lit the match…

I didn’t mean to. In fact, I thought I was playing the hero. Turns out I got played the fool.

Betrayed by those I love most, I’ve gone into hiding to lick my wounds while praying things get better. Meanwhile, the earth is broken, Heaven is bleeding, and someone—or something—is trying to break the seal on Hell.

Last time, I only made things worse. This time I must do better.

I’m the CEO of Hell, so naturally it falls to me (and my sassy orange kitten sidekick) to mediate this celestial war that’s been brewing for millennia. Yeah, wish me luck.

I read this book under a previous title. This is a copy of my review.

I enjoyed book 3 of the series. Lucy is still snarky, even though she is in pain from her loss and Levi's betrayal. Hiding out on earth and raising, well, hell is a great distraction from her pain. Unfortunately she has a job and is going to have to face everyone eventually. When mommy dearest goes on the attack it is time to go kick some butt. She might be mad at Levi, but she misses him and Dacian and knows it is time to face them.

Lucy's mother has gone off the deep end and taken Lucy's brothers with her, no surprise there. Lucy will have to battle them all, along with some nasty recruits from other realms in order to save Earth, Heaven, Hell, and her friends. When her mother brings charges against her father for neglect, things get interesting.

I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Absolutely Brilliant Series by author Jane Hinchey. I'm so glad she's decided to publish it under her real name as an Omnibus too. She lives in Adelaide as well, so it's lovely to support a local author.

This series gave me all the feels. My heart broke for Lucy in several places and it makes me wonder if the pain was drawn from the life experience of the author. It was exceptionally well written and really spoke to me. I'd give the series 6 stars if I could x

Final book in this series...

I'm sorry this is the last of this series, it was really good.  So much is happening in Heaven, Hell and on Earth...  Action, family feud, etc...   I loved the characters, the story and could have read a few more books with Lucy as the main heroin...

Lilith, The name invokes so much. Stories, all kinds about her. This one also has different stories about her. This story is extremely good. I enjoyed this one so very much. You need to read it and see what I mean.
