We had a great thing going,
Best friends and business partners, with the world at our feet.
But one thing was missing…
A baby.

HER:

After a decade at the grindstone, I woke up.
My body doesn’t care that I’m a businesswoman, at the peak of her career,
If I’m going to start a family with the least intervention possible, I need to start yesterday.
Corey’s the kind of guy who has an answer for everything,
Of course the baby question was no different!
He made it sound so simple: have a baby together, as business partners.
No strings, no feelings.
Simple, right?
I agreed to his plan, and in that moment something shifted – for me, at least.
Now, I’m starting to worry that this isn’t the ideal arrangement I thought it was…
Can we be the perfect, no-strings parents?
Or have the two of us have made a big, big mistake?

Friends-to-lovers romance. 3.5*
The deep friendship forged between Elise and Corey started in their college freshman year when they were assigned as project partners for a business task. Fourteen years later, they have a respected joint venture business and are both eat, sleep, and live their company. They have both sacrificed their work-life balance to ensure the success of their company. Until one day, Elise realises that she has a biological clock. They have a deep friendship and respect for one another as over the years they’ve become each other’s soulmates. Corey volunteers himself to be a baby-daddy and from that moment their relationship goes to pot. Corey reverts to being possessed by their business, but Elise wants more. That’s understandable but her desire for a child comes totally out of the blue and out of character. Corey remains true to his obsession with the business which makes him dull and materialistic, not a character that I liked. During a big argument, the protagonists terminate their friendship along with their business partnership. Corey’s all work and no play lifestyle is unsustainable and 14 months later, he has a heart attack. From here on, Corey develops an appreciation of life and a need for continuity, when he finds out he is a father. For me neither of the protagonists’ characters were well developed, their existence was self-sustaining, turned inward and the sudden change in their outlook on life had no traction during the storyline. The idea for the novel was good but the storyline lacked momentum and the characters needed more depth. Another sweep of editing wouldn’t hurt either.

Elise and Corey are paired up in college for a project and become fast friends. Years later they are in business together and doing great. Elise goes to the doctor and learns that she doesn't have long to have children so she sets up an online date. When Corey learns that she's leaving work early for a date he isn't happy and they have a fight and he learns why. They next day they talk about her date and she tells him how bad it was and he offers up to be her baby daddy. He says that they already work well together why not have a child together so they could have someone to leave their company jointly together to. However things don't go as planned and they have a falling out. Elise thought she wasn't pregnant from their night together but turns out she is but she's isn't speaking to Corey so she decides to move on on her own. Corey ends up having a health crisis that is life changing for him. Will this have him turning to Elise? Can they find their way back to one another?

This is an amazing story that will hook you in the first chapter and leave you wanting more with the last one. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover

Hold on for the melodrama overload

No-Strings Parents is the fifth book in the Billionaire Baby Surprises series and is the story of Elise and Corey. They first met in college when they were paired up to work on a project together in class. They became fast friends and even started a business which they run together. When Elise decides to have a baby and there are no men in her life she decides to find a baby-daddy. The only problem is that Corey is more than a little unsettled by it, can anyone say jealous. So he proposes that he become the father to her child and they can co-parent but without all the usual benefits. They spend a night together but things between them go off the rails and from there the story becomes a melodrama.
This story was okay for me but I found myself not really caring a lot at different times while I was reading. I am not sure exactly why this happened except maybe it was the melodrama overload, as there seemed to be a lot of it with this story.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own and I know that other readers will love this story. In the end I think it was just not for me.

Elise and Corey met in their first year of college, being of a similar mindset they got along well. They always felt an attraction to one another but when one was single the other was dating and then their friendship blossomed and they didn't entertain being together.
14 years after college they have opened their own business and are doing well. But Elise starts to feel like it's time for her to start a family before its too late, but as she isn't dating she needs to start looking for someone who would be willing to start a family with her.
When Corey finds out her predicament, he decides to offer her a solution. He will help her start a family, there will be no strings attached and they can remain friends. But what happens when the lines start getting blurred and their feelings start to grow. Will they be able to find a way to make their new situation work?

I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it

No-Strings Parents is my first book by these authors. Elise and Corey have known each other since the first day of college. Fourteen years later, they are business partners and firmly stuck in the friend zone. Elise is starting to worry about her fertility so she makes an effort to find dates. To Corey, this seems wrong somehow, although he has no real right to be jealous. He suggests that as they're already doing everything else together it would make sense to try for a baby together as well. They have one night together and it feels really, really good, and brings forth lots of emotions. But Corey doesn't handle it well and they might end up losing everything.
This was a quick read that I finished in one sitting. I liked the writing style and it is well edited. Some of Corey's reactions came a little out of the blue for me. I got it from Booksprouts and this is a voluntary review.

Elise and Corey met at the start of college and later became business partners. After fourteen years, they are still best friends only and Elise decides she wants a baby. Not having luck getting picking a man, Corey suggests himself as they are friends and it keeps it between them. After the one night, situations arise, she quits and then finds out it worked, but some things can not be unsaid.
The characters were a strong team together, with similar determination and feelings. The storyline places a huge situation - a baby - in the middle of their world and the drama, hidden info, surprises and more keep the pages turning. The depth of the characters is great and the storyline has good balance. When Corey has an issue, Elisa is called and that opens a beautiful doorway and a wonderful ending. Well done.

Elise ad Corey have been friends since partnering up in College and they have continued that partnership for 14 years into a successful marketing business. There has always been some attraction on both sides but the stars never aligned for them and they are afraid of ruining their business relationship and not having the other return their affection. Elise goes to the doctor and realizes that her fertility days are numbered so begins dating again which causes Corey to become upset and when he figures out why, he offers a solution that they have a no strings baby. No marriage or relationship but co-parenting. Hmm, this is gonna work? Great novel and author, loved this story of 2 workaholics who realize their future.

This book was so good but drove me crazy with some communication issues but overall I loved it. Elise and Corey have been best friends since college and 14yrs later they are now business partners and they could be more but they stuck in the friends zone. Elise’s biological clock is ticking and she wants a baby and after watching Elise trying to find the perfect person to by the dad he volunteers and after doing it the old fashioned way just one time Corey gets cold feet and rejects her and she leaves to company and finds out she is pregnant. Corey lets her go and it’s a big mistake and not long after has a heart attack and Elise is his emergency contact and he finds out Elise is pregnant. Can they have a future together or not.

I liked the characters and the plot of the story. Having friends and business partners that make a deal that adds a level of intimacy to their relationship, you know there will be drama, but the kind of drama you expect and prepare for. I don’t like a lot of outside drama in romances.

Corey and Elise were great characters. Best friends and business partners for years have them a solid foundation and it was easy to like them as a couple. When they make a deal to become parents without the relationship aspect, you know it’s going to change everything. You just have to hope it doesn’t change permanently. As close as these two characters are you want them to patch things up and get together. It was easy to root for them to work things out and find their HEA.

This book brings us Elise and Corey. They met in College working together on a project. They have the same work ethics, so they are both easy to work with. Several years later, they are running their own successful business, but have remained in the "friend zone." That is, until Elise starts thinking about her life, and she decides she wants a baby. While looking for new potential baby daddies, Corey volunteers. They spend a romantic night together, but then Corey changes and ghosts Elise. She quits the company, and to her surprise is pregnant with his baby. When Corey has a heart attack, and Elise is his contact person, he finally learns the truth. Will he turn away from Elise again? Read and find out. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

I enjoyed this story. It starts out with two people in college and then skips 10 years. That's when it got interesting. Corey and Elise had a project in college that grew into a busines that was hugely successful. Neither one were dating anyone but Elise felt the need to have a family and Corey volunteered to be the father. Then he wasn't interested. He just wanted Elise to focus on the business again. Once she left the company, she found out she was pregnant and she decided not to tell him. The last third of the story was very interesting and well worth the read.

This was a bit different to what I was expecting snd it was an enjoyable read, I liked both characters and the storyline was good, I was just amazed that they really liked each other right from the beginning but it took all through college and then another 14 years working close together for them to have one argument and ditch each other even though neither wanted too AND when Elise found out about the baby! Bit harsh considering how good they’d always been, but still made for a good read and had a great ending 😁

3.5**** stars. Elise and Corey met as college freshmen. They go on to found a successful business where business always comes first. That’s until Elise’s bio clock starts ticking and she wants more. Corey volunteers to be the sperm donor the old fashioned way but freezes her out after and back to business. She is lucky to get pregnant the first time but has had enough of cold Corey and sells out. When is he going to get some sense? Nicely written but not my favorite.

I loved this book . The story between Corey and Elise was great . They have such a great connection between them . They are friends ,business partners and then baby partners without any feelings between them. But will they be able to have a baby together without any feelings being involved. Read the book to find out their story and what happens in their life with plenty of steam. This is a book you will not be able to stop reading.

NOT My Cup of Tea

In the beginning the FMC was said to be an only child. Then 14 years later we meet her married brother at their father’s birthday…hmmm. The book had a good concept but there was so much internal dialogue I started skimming. I had moments of confusion in the fact that these two have known one another so long and the harshness displayed or the cold shoulder after intimacy. So many things that could have been done differently before the tragedy by just telling one another how they felt.

I enjoyed this book, was a sweet love story. It was well written and the characters were great. Elise and Corey have been friends since college and they have denied their feeling for so long. Only a misunderstanding comes between then and they fall out for a while. I loved reading about how each character changed and grew as a person. It was good to read, had a good twist in there that I didn’t see coming. Was a great book. Recommend

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

This is a well-written friends to lovers romance, Corey and Elize met at college and have been best friends ever since. Now years later, still friends and owning a company together, Corey suggests that he father the baby that Elize is wanting.... after a major flare up between them, they part ways. Their story is sweet and emotional and has drama. I liked both Elize and Corey.

No Strings Parents. Yeah That'll Work, Not

Honestly the story was a good one. The phrases 'fair point' 'you make a good point' are already annoying in the first four chapters. To much Elise, not enough Corey after chapter 10. They were living in the same town right? How did they not run into each other in a year and a half? I thought she was going to the hospital to see him, but they didn't see each other until he got out.

I was expecting something different from this book based on the plot, so I was intrigued that it didn't progress as much as I thought it would.
I liked both the story and the main characters (the secondary characters unfortunately weren't given enough space in the story), although I didn't love them because of some of their attitudes.
