Roseann McGrath Brooks is a freelance editor, part-time college writing tutor, and all-the-time believer in love. Currently, her Vacation Friends Romance series has four books, with three more planned. She has BA in English and French and an MA in Humanities. Roseann lives in suburban Philadelphia with her recently retired minister husband and thanks God every day for him, their two children, their three grandchildren, and, really, all of their extended family -- not to mention the cookie bakery across the street. She loves reading, writing, theater, bell choir, biking, running, skiing, and hanging out with friends.
Abby and Cayden meet while she's on vacation. All goes well as they learn about each other. Although their lifestyles are different, they are both strong Christians with strong healthy family ties. Real life brings some challenges and, just as are learning to deal with those, more stressors are added.
I really enjoyed the story. They faith element is naturally woven into the lives of the characters and their actions and reactions to their changing situations seem realistic.
I loved being able to hear more about a character from the previous book in this story! However, it is not necessary to have read the first to enjoy the second. As an educator and an Eagles fan, I enjoyed all of those connections and it made the story very readable. I am looking forward to future books by this author!
I loved, loved, loved this book. I was invested in the couple from the first page to the last. There has to be more. Please write more about Abby and Cayden. I need to know what happens to them next, they seem like a such a sweet.couple.
