When the seats finally became available, after a tiring standing-room-only ride in the crowded subway train, why did the woman in high heels choose not to sit down while her 10-year-old did? When made to compete in the kids’ activity of arranging wood blocks one on top of another, why did one manager falter at just 5 blocks while another managed to stack up an impressive 20? Are we able to learn things, like swimming or riding a bicycle, without any memory of having undergone such learning?
Do we impose limits and restrictions on our own selves that we may not even be aware of? How is our inability to recognize such self-imposed limits related to fleas? For happiness, is it good to be the big fish in a small pond or go for bigger oceans? How does the culture of a society constrain its very members that it is intended to help? Why did the family, across generations, always clip the turkey’s wings while cooking a festival feast?
If those questions got you intrigued, piqued your curiosity, and hastened your pulse with excitement, then this book is for you. This book covers those and a slew of other questions that shed light onto what constrains people, what motivates them, and ultimately what makes them happy.
Uday is an economist and an engineer with keen interest in philosophy and a firm belief in the progressive march of humanity towards a better and brighter future. He lives in Princeton, New Jersey and works in New York. He is a Columbia University Alumnus, ex-strategy consultant with McKinsey & Co., investment banker, and writes on economy, philosophy, and fiction.
Psychology has always been a subject of interest for me. It is always good to know facts, proof, and theories related to the human brain and nature. This is one such book that has it all.
Inconspicuously Human is a non-fiction book. It is divided into 10 parts, each describing some interesting experiments. the chapters at length discuss various experiments, processes and outcomes. All these experiments have to do a lot with our day-to-day lives which we generally miss observing.
My personal favourites are "To be in a Small Pond or a Big One?" and "What is Entitlement?" The author's free-form perspective section at the end of each chapter is a boon. I found the cover of the book to be very appealing. It was overall a good read.
Have you ever wondered about the functioning of the human brain? Not about what we study in Biology but what we study in Psychology. It is an art, agreed; maybe that’s why they included it in the Arts Programme (I don't discredit its Science Programme). I came across this book, Inconspicuously Human by Uday Singh, which discusses the functioning of the human brain for laypeople. Nevertheless, the students pursuing psychology must read this book.
The book is divided into 10 chapters which comprise the secrets to our pursuits to better living. The book involves various experiments that have been conducted by psychologists to study human behaviour and the insights on their significance from the author’s free-form perspective.
The book carries a formal style, and concerning the interests of the readers in nonfiction, this book has a few pages. One can read it in a single sitting, but it is advisable not to do so, as to digest what you read. In one of the chapters, the author discusses the impact of the food we eat, and it brought me back to Ikigai. Even though the book has explained human behaviour notably, the elucidation of a few experiments would have lead to better assimilation of the knowledge, but this could have also evolved confusion in those new to the subject. The author has requested the readers to be open-minded. To fathom out the results of the experiments, one must remember that those experiments were conducted in a controlled environment, i.e., other existing factors have been considered constant here (like we do in physics/chemistry).
This book is recommended to everyone, but the students pursuing psychology will find it more interesting.
There are things which some people are able to do naturally without any professional training while few needs to put in intensive number of hours. For instance , one must have observed few individuals learn car driving so effortlessly just by observing while some aren't able to master the craft even after months of training.
Similarly there are many other happenings in our day to day life like there are beings who despite being old and frail prefer to stand even in an uncrowded bus while some young ones with no luggage prefer to sit. So what is that particular thought process due to which one makes a specific set of choices while others don't ? Is it something inbuilt that we are able to grasp a few things without any formal training while everyone isn't? Are there some restrictions that human posed upon themselves due to which they dont come out of their limiting beliefs? Are we unaware of the huge amount of skillset that we posess inherently?
All these and many more questions are thrown at us in this highly riveting book and author has tried to unravel the secret behind each one of them. A reader generally doesn't come across books on such subject. So when I picked this up ,I was a bit sceptical but after reading it ,it has put all my doubts to rest. The way author has tried to demystify the science behind human behaviour and how things work in a highly complex brain is applaudable. I truly loved the psychological aspect of the book and how everything is explained out logically is a treat to watch as well. The publishers have done a great job at their end too.
Overall a deeply engaging flawless work. Highly Recommended.
With thought provoking questions and equally intriguing insights this book attempts to capture the interesting side of human psychology and at the same time understanding our behavioural patterns.
“if we change our outward expressed behaviour, it changes the way others react to it, establishing a virtuous cycle of self-fulfilling prophecy.”
This relatively short volume holds much more potential knowledge than anyone can think of. With each meticulously woven chapters it tries to bring forth the inherent tendencies people have and how people can actually use theories out of lab experiments in real life to channel their full potential and live a satisfied life. This book has very gently touched some important topics related to human psyche. The theme of this book itself is enough to pique interest of readers.
The book contains relatively small chapters and simple writing style is the cheery on top. Can be read in one sitting. Most important is every chapter has a detailed author perspective as well as a small summary of the chapter along with that comes takeaways at the end which is an absolute requisite. I'm glad that I chose to read this book because it added value to my life and helped me strengthen my belief system. Recommended to everyone.
'Inconspicuously Human' is a well detailed and complex book detailing the psychological approach of human experiments and everyday life things. There had been various research and study on human anatomy and behavioral patterns. It is one such thing were minute details and bigger theories seems to be less and hence the scholars could never end up with a conclusion.
Divided in ten progressive chapters, this novel takes through deeper definitions and broad way of thinking in perspective of human behavior. This novel not only narrates the reasons to human behavioral pattern but also the experimentation relating it.
This novel is full of in depth and comprehensive details. The writing is raw and complex. Overall, I relished reading this book.
This book talks about the psychology and sociology related most widely cited experiments in respect of human nature and its behaviour.
This approach has taken to capture the experiments and findings as well as to understand the insights of human nature psychology which changes from time to time. On the basis of that we can take actions and allow us to become better version of ourselves by making different approaches to lead our life.
Author talks about the potential to change the different viewpoints on a psychology on behavior and on our instinct as a human. This book is more suitable for the people who is looking to read on psychology and it’s aesthetics. It’s a little bit tough to comprehend the message from each chapters.
"To understand the complexity of life you have to start questioning and thinking. Cause the ones who do it are the ones who win"
This book is beautifully written and talk about various research and study on human anatomy and behavioral patterns with details and experimental theories. It is divided into 10 chapters to make the understanding of the various concepts easier for the readers with an interesting topic of our daily life. The writing style is so easy to understand that you may even finish it up at one go. It will provide you useful informative and educative for people.
The language is easy and each chapter ends with a summary that further enhances the reading experience. Along with the theory , the cover of the book is also very presentable. The well detailed and complex book detailing the psychological approach of human experiments and everyday life things
This is a good book to read for teenagers as well as adults. A very informative and interesting book with proper scientific explanations. It is highly recommended for people who are interested and want to learn about human psychology.
"When I look at the world I’m pessimistic, but when I look at people I am optimistic."
The book Inconspicuously Human talks about psychology, the science of behavior and why humans behave the way they behave. The author also talks about the different cases and experiments done in history to know Human behavior. What motivates the humans, what makes them happy, what drives them, and so many other questions are explained in this book.
Those who love nonfiction this is a grwag for them. The most amazing part of this book is the experiments and the case studies given by the author which makes it easy to understand and valid. Although a very informative book, and filled with knowledge, the language of the book can be little bit tricky. Overall a good read and something everyone should give a try!
BOOK REVIEW BOOK - " Inconspicuously human " AUTHOR - "Uday Singh " GENRE - " Psychology , Non- Fiction "
As the book cover suggests, are were mere puppets in the hands of our brain? How does the surroundings stimulate our behavior to act in a certain way?
First of all, I'm glad that I read this book. I thoroughly enjoyed the insights it provided on our behaviours to different situations which we seldom observe or realise.
This book is an amalgamation of various experiments performed over the course of history to analyse human psyche. Through this, it opens plethora of questions in our mind and helps us identify the loopholes in our behaviours or simply to better ourselves as humans. To lead a healthy and happy life.
Few of the experiments mentioned above are given below -
1) Blue eyes - green eyes - to analyse the impact of a preconceived notion on our behaviour. A group of students were chosen for this experiment based on their eye colour. When the students were told that blue color students were superior in traits and academics, they exhibited the traits and behaved crossly with green eyed students and viveversa. Even students who performed well usually crumbled when put in a so called weaker group. This experiment was influenced by the case of the clever hans horse.
Take away - preconceived expectations play a vital part in our life and it's better to be positive and know our expectations of ourselves which will have an impact on our achievements.
2) Flea experiment & wood blocks experiment - which proved that what limits we set for ourselves determines how far we reach. The higher we aim, the closer we reach to it.
Eg . You aim to get 90% , you get 87 % or more. You aim to pass in an exam, you might just get passing marks. This experiment proves the importance of goal setting in life.
3) Monkeys on cocaine - Big pond or small pond ? This experiment showed the importance of self worth or perceived importance we have in our social setup to our psyche.
4) Autophagy - importance of eating less as one crosses the threshold of 30 years and the importance of cell building and their connection with diseases and premature aging. The importance of gut bacteria. I loved this chapter as it broke several misconceptions about diet.
5) Inception of culture and cultural practices. Adherence to cultural practices according to the need of the day and the situation and rational thinking rather than blind faith in it.
6) Ultimatum game, Milgram experiment and the famous Stanfords prison experiment - What is entitlement ? Power corrupts ?
7) Capuchin monkeys and Puppet experiment - The importance of treating everyone fairly. Its proven that fairness is an innate trait and not something that is taught.
8) Patient HM & SpaceX - Importance of practice and its impact on out mind. Is the popular saying " Practice makes man perfect " scientifically true ?
9) Solitude surroundings or group gatherings gives you tranquility ? I loved this chapter too as it broke the notions of one size fits all.
10) To sit or not to sit ? Our brains do have subconscious cost benefit analysis. But it's still in experimental stage.
As I have summarised the premise of the book , each chapter not only gives varied case studies but also the authors perspective which makes it interesting. Loved this book. 😊

INCONSPICUOUSLY HUMAN by Uday Singh. @alcovepress
___ This book is based on latest psychology experiments/ controlled studies that shed insights into what motivates us, drives us, and eventually makes us reach our true potential in our universal pursuit of happiness. ___ This book is a very philosophical kindof read..something like #stephenhawking books.. The author, a philosopher, an economist, and an engineer has implored various questions which may arise in our mind & we may not generally go into in-depth research about them. He has not only explored the various versions/ perspectives but also discussed studies conducted regarding the same & in addition given his perspective at the end of each chapter. There are total 10 questions/ chapters vividly explored here. The book is beautifully & systematically formatted, the paper quality is thick & premium & the cover perfect. The things, the author has discussed here, also piqued my curiosity like why is white skin considered superior, blue- brown eyes beautiful.. he went into the historical perspective & the repercussions. Topics like are we aware of our limits, work, diet, culture, fairness, exercise etc are really brainstormed with logic, facts, experiments (some on humans & some on monkeys) & various versions/ approaches/ perspectives shared on each one. It is not an easy read & not everyone's cup of tea. ___ Blurb: ⚪Do we impose limits and restrictions on our own selves that we may not even be aware of? How is our inability to recognize such self-imposed limits related to fleas? For happiness, is it good to be the big fish in a small pond or go for bigger oceans? How does the culture of a society constrain its very members that it is intended to help? Why did the family, across generations, always clip the turkey’s wings while cooking a festival feast?

"To understand the complexity of life you have to start questioning and thinking. Cause the ones who do it are the ones who win."
Talking about functioning about the brain is never that easy but always fascinating right? this book is all about shedding light over constraints of people, our thinking ability, what gets us intrigued, our curiosity for numerous things.
I must say that it is a well framed book consisting 10 chapters, each with an interesting topic which many of us come across in our daily life. The writing style is lucid and so easy to understand that you may even finish it up at one go!. Right from the cover of the book to its presentation and all the content it holds all blends in perfectly together.
Self help books are usually debatable and hard to cope up with but this book is full of educational and informative content. it talks about All recent experiments done, how it is connected to our daily life and special mention that all this experiments can be verified as the author has provided the links to the articles too.
The flow usually goes from introducing the topic then talking about some cases and then the theories and experiments to their support. Also every chapter ends with separate section containing summary and Author's free-form perspective which makes it more understandable. Even though i feel some experiments and theories needs thorough reading and some googling stuff but the few which blew my mind where blue eyes green eyes theory, monkey on cocaine, patient HM & SpaceX which i am not going to talk about in detail to avoid spoilers but it is worth reading.
A very informative and interesting book shedding light over human thinking abilities consisting psychological factors with proper blend of scientific explanations to it is highly recommended by me to everyone and not just to the Self-help book lovers.
Great compilation! As the blurb advertises, this book is an attempt to understand ourselves better. Through a variety of experiments (some pretty famous and others lesser known), the author guides us readers to try to find the reasons behind our decisions. Even the ones we think we made without thinking are influenced by subconscious reasoning in our brains. The better we understand our brain's functioning, the more we have control over our actions.
The author starts each chapter with a question, like, 'Do we truly know our limits?'; moves on to elaborate on it with some examples; and then adds one or two relevant studies/experiments. He ends the chapter with his thoughts, a section named "Author's free-form perspective". I really appreciated this flow; the initial explanation with examples allowed me the time to reflect and find similarities in my own actions. The experiments then automatically planted the seeds of why. Why had I chosen to do that? By the time I reached the author's perspective section, I had tentative observations of my own which I would pit against his thoughts. That section is so open and encouraging that even where I felt I did not completely agree with what was written, it did not put me off. I had several epiphanous moments of my own.
As I neared the end of the book, a thought came to me: Perhaps I should have taken notes? That was a lot to chew and digest. Clearly, the author had anticipated his readers' needs correctly. In the epilogue, a succinct summary of the learning and conclusions from experiments was provided (one-two-liners for each chapter), which I found very helpful.
It's a great book for everyone, but especially for those curious minds that always look for the whys behind everything. Definitely recommended.
"Inconspicuously Human" by Uday Singh talks all about the brain and its technicalities. The book talks from the psychological point of view and is interesting to read. This book helped me understand the mind and its game. This book is based on observations, theories and our day to day activities. There are a total of 10 chapters and each chapter is further divided into different subtopics. All the chapters have mainly four subtopics, addressing the problem, experiment related to that problem, Author's perspective, and last but not least summary of the entire chapter. The 10 chapters in this book are, Is White Always Right? Do We Truly Know Our Limits? To be in a Small Pond or a Big One? Is Working Harder and Eating Less Going to Harm Us? What Is Culture? What is Entitlement? Do We Need to Treat Everybody Fairly? Why Does Practice Help Us? Is Everyone Tranquil in Serene Solitude? To Sit or Not to Sit? All the chapters relate to our day to day understanding and reading and understanding this will help us lead a better life. If you are someone who has a keen interest in Psychology and likes to understand Mind games, then you must pick this book once.
I read the blurb and couldn’t resist picking it up. It’s a short read that can be read in a day or two. I will briefly summarise the concept here. The author started the book with chapter, “Is white always right?” In that chapter, author has done a detailed discussion about skin column, gene, race, etc. and the “Blue eye- Brown eye” discussion is quite interesting. I liked the references of well known figure and their literature. The core concept of this book is psychology and human behaviour. I have studied psychology and sociology as a part of my degree subjects so I developed my interest since then. I liked all experiments section. And my favourite part was “expectations” related discussion. I liked discussion about calories restriction too. I liked the section, “Author’s free-form perspective” that’s quite interesting. There are number of chapters, each with unique discussion and filled with experiments and research and literature references. I enjoyed reading them. The book is non fiction and of quite different topic. I gained a lot of information from it definitely. Author has explained everything with proper examples and references. The language of the book is lucid so that everyone can try. I liked the topics chosen. Overall quite informative and interesting read for me. Good one
Human behaviour and psychology have always tempted me so when I get a chance to read such books, I tend not to let them pass. This book is such a good detailed, very well explained one for that matter. This book aims to provide three key dimensions- 1- It is a compilation of relevant experiments. 2- It is an attempt to extend the scope of the experiments to explain behaviours or tendencies we experience in our daily lives. 3- To tie all these experiments coherently and consistently, while drawing insights and conclusions that will allow us to lead our companies or projects or teams more effectively as well as lead fuller and more self-aware lives.
-The book talks about the importance of knowing self-worth, where to push our limits and when to accept our flaws. -It talks about discrimination in various spheres of life. -It has chapters about our culture, food habits, entitlement,
👉The author has written the book in such a presentable and detailed manner, with easy to understand language, intriguing vocabulary, very well explained experiments, it was completely worth it. It is such an intelligent piece, I read one chapter each day and felt like I was learning so much. Overall, I loved this book and would recommend it to all.
A combination of everything in a little book, whether it's the theories, or the proves and examples or even the authors own perspective over a subject.
It's wonderful as to how just a few pages can hold so much of depth and inspiration within them. There's so much to learn inside it.
The book talks about the human behaviour as to how our brain and bodies responses too situations differently. With the ending of each chapter by the main points of it's summary and the views.
It is one of the few non-fictions that I liked reading. It was like human thoughts and psychology made it easy to understand and learn. The concepts are explained in a really great manner that they will instantly make a place in your mind.
It's based on a very logical side, divided in the 10 parts with their sub sections. And covers a vast range within itself with simplicity
I absolutely loved reading it. And would definitely recommend it to you if you are someone who likes to read about the logics of human functions and behaviours.
This was always an intriguing fact for myself that what drives a human emotion, what motivates people, what provokes them to work on certain things. Human brain is one of the most researched objects so far and is damn confusing too. How someone behaves varies largely from person to person. Yet there exist a pattern. The book Inconspicuously Human by Uday Singh deals with the psychology and aims at answering the minimal everyday questions that we as humans overlook amid the chaos and knook & hook of our lives. The book consist of 10 chapters each dealing with one question. Is white always right? To be in a small pond or a big one? What is culture? To sit or not to sit? The purpose of the book is to make the scientific research readily applicable to day-to-day experiences and unwind the fact and logics. The book is really intriguing and contains the facts about the various studies conducted. The authors has shared his views very fairly and it makes the section more interesting and worth reading. The book is a must read for people interested in psychology.
Title - Inconspicuously Human Author - Uday Singh Genre - psychological self help Format - kindle
It's the title and the blurb of the book which made me to pick it up. The main concept of the book is psychology and human behaviour which the author has very well discussed in this book. The book is divided into 10 chapters and many subchapters which are readers friendly to understand the content. At the end of each chapter summary is provided by the author which is very helpful.
The author has explained each and everything by giving examples and book is filled with observations and theories. Language used is simple and lucid. Writing style is explanatory. The cover of the book is aptly designed.
The author has covered many topics about society and culture like colour, sex, religion etc. He has also provided their cure too. This book has the ability to change one's point of view towards life and to fill with new hope. Hats off to the author for writing such an amazing book.
For a psychology enthusiast, this book is filled with interesting insights, facts and theories. Mundane activities throughout our lives, the subtle and undetected prejudices we hold and the way our minds function when we dress, travel or eat is deeply explored in this book. There are many experiments conducted by many scientists and researchers which are mentioned in the book that changes our perspective towards our choices and societal norms, including issues like racism.
The book doesn't force you to follow the author's opinion or the theories in general, it rather opens up your mind to different perspective and let you form opinions yourself.
My only issue is that the language of the book is sometimes hard to grasp.
It's my 2nd book of the author and I must say that I'm in love....this one really changed my thought process as it can be related to each and every aspects of our day to day lives. From the beginning to the end it discusses some important life changing observations which we usually ignores in our busy kind of schedule. . While it discusses the topic in much depth it simply uses lucid language which is really making it easy for every common man out there. It discusses many psychological experiments and studies which by the way increased my curiosity page by page. . Highly recommended if you want to have a unique reading experience. . Happy reading💫
✳️'We are always a puppet in the hands of our brains.' Loved what the cover was trying to convey. We all already know that our whole programming is controlled by the central processing unit of the human body, the brain. We make most decisions through thought and calculation, but some of these decisions are automatically made by our brain by learning from our past experiences.✳️
✳️There are ten chapters in this book. Each of them teaches us an important lesson. All of us can relate with these incidents in our day-to-day lives. The author has given various examples, experiments and case studies that shed light on 'why we do what we do'. We're all familiar with the topics mentioned in the chapters, but we're not aware of the science behind them. So, the author has done a great job in explaining all the questions with facts and truths.✳️
✳️The only thing with which I disagreed with the author was case of 'using spoon'. I had my own opinion on that one. But all the rest was up to the mark. This book made me laugh and ponder on the various choices I had made in my life. This book is such an eye opener and I highly recommend this book for reading.✳️
Amazed with the framework approach provide by the author. Whether it is the goal setting theory of corporate (SMART - specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time-bound) or Other multiple examples , the book provides a really interesting perspective for us to think through on our inhibition and how we can push our thinking/goals.
In each chapter, the author perspective provides a real life perspective that can help us to implement this framework in our daily lives. I was able to observe/learn from my behaviour.
The 10 chapter of the book are interesting. It really made me think through. This Book is Worth a read and is easily readable.
Human mind is a creative game, if you get to know how to play this, you would definitely start loving this game. This book is about human psychology, consists of ten chapters all comprised of different experiments conducted to understand the play of human mind. A series of different incidents, experiments and observations would be listed to grasp the attention and derive the conclusion.
The book Inconspicuously Human is a book on human nature and how we get influenced by our surroundings.
The author definitely brings light to multiple things around us, and how as a human we reacted to it. How our brain is programmed in certain situations is definitely worth reading. The book must say, is not boring mumbo jumbo you get to read, when you read the research, but in a simple logical way, for a layman to understand.
This is my first hardcover book, and I really liked that as well.
Overall, if you want to read something different go for it.
The cover page of the book and the title barely describes the intention of the book. This book is all about the different aspects of human psychology.
The concept of this book and the way of penning is unique in its way to expose the advantage of the human brain. The content of this book is extremely vice pick. It kindles the readers to dig the topic to know more.
All the examples and the subjects evaluated in this book are very informative and useful. Most of the parts I have wondered about. Overall I put this book as most information gadgets.
Language is rational. Everyone can understand easily. I recommend this book to all.
RATING : 4/5🌟 🌺🌺 🙋♀️Hi, guys would you like to read a book full of philosophical truths, awesome tips, and eye-opening realities?
Or, are you someone like Kunal Shah, constantly looking for the Truth of this life?
If yes, then this book is for You!
Well, as you all know that since 2020 we are living in constant fear, isolation. That's when this thought of what life really is? Why things are the way they are, came to my mind.
So, I started finding answers but couldn't find something unique. Everything was that same motivational, old-school kinda stuff.
It was like....ugh! Isn't there something unique? Just one book.
And then came the Aha! Moment. As I found this one.
It was awesome. I mean the kind of topics discussed in it and the enlightening advice are just unmatchable.
And that's what makes it a must-read for you guys as well :)
So, let's see....
📕About the book:-
Here, the author is sharing his years of experience and lessons about life with us.
By breaking it in a step-by-step approach with mind-blowing examples.
🌺After thinking a lot, I feel that it can be divided into parts:-
1️⃣. The Framework of A Culture And The urgent need to think upon it:-
In this part, we will see how human civilization started so many years ago and after a collection of ideas, the culture was created.
Where we take pride in it, we also need to think about its various aspects as well.
Cause as time goes by, certain ideas become irrelevant and eventually become destructive.
So, here author discusses those aspects, plus the importance of Questioning Things.
🏅 Top lessons from it:-
✓Your body color or shape has nothing to do with your potential. So, instead of trying to get validation from society. Work on your skills and shine like a star
✓Those who follow the rat race remain rats, irrespective of their goals.
But those who question everything and then decide what's good for them are the ones who lead
✓Never focus on what others expect from you. First, become the best in your mind and then in reality.
Now, after understanding ourselves, the culture, let's find....
2️⃣. The Journey To Be What We Always Wanted To Be:-
All of us want to be great, right? But the self-doubts, comparisons are like our biggest enemies.
But no more. As here, the author tells us exact ways to:-
•Find what's the best field for us •Break the pattern and do something meaningful •Surpass our worst doubts to achieve what seems unimaginable
🖊️ My favourite lesson from it:- The War Isn't Between You And The World. It's Between You And Your Mind Only.
If you think you are strong then you will be.
So, be limitless, fearless, and awaken your inner warrior. Cause my friends, you have no idea how awesome you are!
3️⃣. Whether It's Fame Or Wealth, All Roads Are Connected To Health:-
Imagine being the richest person but full of diseases, sounds tragic, right?
Well, that's what we are doing. Most of us are so focused on that one dream that we are even forgetting about our bodies.
Therefore, to live a beautiful life, we must need to strive for a healthy lifestyle as well.
And that's where this part comes. Here, you will find some really interesting facts, ways to boost your energy and health.
4️⃣. Three Keys To Being One Of The Top 2%:-
There are many healthy, wealthy, and strong people out there but still, they aren't what they could be.
So, in this part, the author discusses the top 3 qualities of high achievers which we should develop as well.
What are those? Find out yourself ;)
🔭 But hey, here are some awesome lessons from it:-
✓Being skillful is one thing but being hungry is another
✓Nothing works for everyone, meeting people could be a happiness booster for someone and an energy drainer for another.
So, don't follow any advice blindly. See if it works for you, or is there any need for modification.
That way you would learn to work in your best form.
✓Success isn't something that comes from hard work, it comes from a winner mindset.
And that's why you need to build that kinda mindset/train yourselves to be what you want to be.
Cause almost everything starts from within!
(The author has shared how successful entrepreneurs think) Yayyyyy
Overall I loved it and I genuinely believe that it's the best gift you can give to yourself this year.
So, if you are looking for an awesome read. Then just give it a read, guys. 🌺🌺
"To understand the complexity of life you have to start questioning and thinking. Cause the ones who do it are the ones who win."
Well, this book proves it right!
So, have you ever felt that the world we are living in isn't perfect? I mean the things we see, the culture, the life we have, isn't necessary but optional?
Or, would you like to know the qualities which differentiate the top 1% from us? The best ways to make ourselves and society better?
If yes, then this book is for You!
So, let's see.....
📕What's in it?
It's about seeing life from a unique mindset and identifying....
"Why Things Are The Way They Are, What We Can Do To Make Them Better."
Here, the author covers a broad aspect of our lives.
By showing us that we all are living a life full of Options. The culture, the mindset, everything around us can be modified and we have the power to do it.
So, from understanding the core principles of life to finding our inner warrior....This book takes us on an amazing journey.
So, tighten your seats, and let's start:-
💫As I see the author has divided it into 4 parts:-
1️⃣. The Birth And Evolution Of Culture:-
Here, it's defined that how when a group of people comes together, share ideas and make some certain rules according to that time creates:- A Culture.
And then with time, we don't upgrade those ideas resulting in many weird beliefs.....Like:-
•Having white skin is a gift (we see this as a matter of pride)
•Those who have a certain background, grades are better than others, etc.
•Women are not suited for "manly" things, etc.
My friends this kinda thinking ultimately stops our growth and suppresses millions of lives!

This book attempts to provide the theoretical framework for proposing or postulating unambiguous answers to some of the most important but nebulous life questions that do not seem to have clear answers - at least not at first glance. Inconspicuously is something which is not easily seen or noticed. Basically this book talks about the human side which is not seen or discussed openly or frequently. Psychology, human behaviour, basic tendencies, hidden human nature and many more.
The book is divided into 10 chapters, and each chapter talks about different shades of human life and personality. And the main important highlight of the book is the author's free - from perspective where the author has shared the main perspective of each point in his point of view.
1. White Always Right ??? Colour, crew, cast nothing matters when you have the ability to overcome the difficulties and achieve something, women can also do muscular things with strength and courage. No black or white colour can differentiate your ability, no wealth or background can give you any benefits. It's all about how we define our life and live it.
2. Do We Truly Know Our Limits??? Limits - the word itself stops us from doing many things in life. It binds us with myths, superstitions, emotional and physical attributes. How an elephant who is tied to the rope with a wooden pole always thinks that it's impossible to break it and get free because that's how it's trained. The same goes with human beings, the restrictions, the limits are only till you accept it. Don't quit before trying, try multiple times until you are satisfied that you gave your 100 percent. That's what the limit talks about. Be persistent and achieve your goal.
3. To be in a Small Pond or a Big One? Rat race - we all are in this race running around without any direction but yes everyone wants to reach somewhere. Everything which shines is not gold, sometimes even the stones become diamonds. If you get an opportunity to become a principal at a village school go for it. Don't run behind the post of a teacher in the city. At least as a principal you will have your own say and experiments to perform to achieve better goals in life.
4. Is working harder and eating less going to harm us?? Before we decide to take up a diet, we should always go for a full body checkup, The doctor's recommendation is always must before we try any experiment on ourselves. Eating less and working more is not the solution, eating wisely and working properly is the key to success.
5. What is culture? Culture has different definitions for everyone. It includes moral code, family values, religious preferences, working style and everything we have accepted without questioning about it. There are many things happening around which we feel awkward but never raised any question against it, maybe because we thought it would be considered an insult or offend. Similarly we have accepted many things in life. In Indian culture we see saree as traditional dress, even on a beach the women are not allowed to wear a bikini or rather short dress because that's the restriction society has put on women as cultural norms. Here equality is not seen anywhere. Eating with hands is considered illiterate whereas eating with a spoon or a fork is called cultured, smoking or drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited for women as it shows bad upbringing and many such myths. Before imposing or condensing any such bizarre things, figure out what the culture is all about, how exactly you are benefited and what the reality is all about.
6. What is an entitlement?? We humans often accept irrational societal norms because of our tendency to accept entitlement and authority. Entitlement always comes with authority that's what we believe, and that makes us tyrannical and cruel. Which is not what entitlement means, entitlement is what gives you an authority to make a good change to society and to the people around you. Make sure your authority is helping someone rather impose undefined rules.
7. Do we need to treat everybody fairly? Never judge or treat a person depending on his or her financial status, designation, colour, cast, crew organization and salary or promotion. Every person has a unique personality and ability in different sectors so yes we should always treat everyone equally.
8. Why does practice help us??? 'Practice makes a man perfect' - We have heard this idiom several times in our life, and it has proven as well, the more we practice the more the success rate is. Failure is the first step of success.
9. Is everyone tranquil in serene solitude?? Just because one is right handed does not mean that they cannot write or do things with their left hand. Likewise, if we are on the other end of the continuum experiencing low stress levels while being alone, we might equivalently benefit from this insight and accordingly expose ourselves to moderate social interactions while still managing to keep our stress levels within the normal range.
10. To sit or not to sit? While traveling in a train, when all the seats are full we wait for someone to vacate a seat so that we can sit, but when this happens we don't feel like taking the seat as we are already adjusted, or our stop is coming so we don't feel like taking it. Now in this situation it totally depends on us and our brain to give us the command of becoming lazy or to grab the opportunity.
After a very long time I have read a book which has given me a clear insight of human behaviour which is hidden or ignored, and also with the proper solution to make such situations work in a better way for us.
Definitely a must read if you want answers to all out of syllabus questions of our life.
