A babysitter. That’s all I am. But I have my own life to live. Dreams of going to the NFL. And this is a distraction I can’t afford to have.
Oh, and the person I have to keep an eye on is mouthy and slightly nuts. And she hates me. She pushes my buttons and makes me question my own sanity. But, goddamn, she’s sexy.
Her parents asked me to look after her. To make sure she doesn’t do anything reckless at college. Because since she changed with no explanation last year, she’s been a hellion. Not to mention, a major thorn in my side. I should have told them to find someone else.
But I couldn’t say no. I’ll never say no when it comes to Henley Hayes.
Because deep down, I want her. If I’m being completely honest here, she’s all I’ve wanted since the day I took my first breath. And when I get it in my head that I want something, I’ll stop at nothing until it’s mine.
So, challenge accepted. I know she won’t make it an easy task. After all, the last thing she wanted was to be followed to college, especially by me, her newly declared enemy. But, hey, if I have to do the grueling job of being her babysitter, I might as well reap the rewards too. She can only hate me for so long. And her time’s running out.
*This is a complete stand alone in the Brooks University series. Sports Romance
Hannah Gray spends her days in vacationland, living in a small, quaint town on the coast of Maine. She is an avid reader of contemporary romance and is always in competition with herself to read more books every year.
During the day, she loves on her three perfect-to-her daughters and tries to be the best mom she can be. But once she tucks them in at night--okay, scratch that. Once they fall asleep next to her in her bed--because their bedrooms apparently have monsters in them--she dives into her own fantasy world, staying awake well into the late-night hours, typing away stories about her characters. As much as she loves being a wife and mom--and she certainly does love it--reading and writing are her outlet, giving her a place to travel far away while still physically being with her family.
She married her better half in 2013, and he's been putting up with her craziness every day since. As her anchor, he's her one constant in this insane, forever-changing world.
This was my favorite one of the standalone series.
The conflict is a hard one. I didn’t love her reaction when it was revealed, but I also think it’s a hard one to have a reaction to that won’t have readers disliking one of them.
The steam escalation right after their reconciliation was fast as well. It was jarring.
I still enjoyed it. Solid, quick and steamy sports romance.
for all the ladies who love trashy men, this is for you
1/5 - 100% a skip/skim read. the worst ending to an other wise decent series. Spoilers ahead
What a way to end a series on an unbelievable low. Henley and Weston were both such unlikeable characters it was honestly painful to read either POVs. The fact that I rooted for them more to be apart than together really spoke volumes about the kind of characters they turned out to be. Why THE author overdramatized Henley sleeping with Dane WHEN SHE WAS SINGLE AND FREE TO DO SO was beyond me. Meanwhile Weston slept with anything that moved and received no grievance whatsoever.
Weston was an absolute garbage of a character. His actions and his words were abhorrent. He was selfish, egotistical and a victim-blamer. Henley went through a miscarriage and he had the nerve to feel hurt because it was all kept a secret from him? Not even a single “how are you feeling?” or an “are you okay?” Nope. Henley went through physical and emotional hell and Weston only cared about how betrayed he felt. Why are we, as readers forced fed such a low quality hero? And we’re just suppose to accept it no questions asked.
Henley was no better. She was stupid and complacent. After giving into lust with Weston she loses all her mental faculties and all of a sudden became a sniveling, desperate dish rag. The fact that she thinks what she did warranted all the hate really in the world proved how underdeveloped and immature her little brain is. And when finally granted the hate she so desperately wanted, she cries and wonders why. Frankly, Dane stood to be the most upright character after everything’s been said and done and yet where was his story?
This book was not worth the 300 plus read. Word of advice? If you’re gonna give it a shot, skim it. Nothing is lost between pages. The in-betweens were made up of the same fights, dialog and moronic drivel dressed up as different POVs.
This will be the last work I will be reading from this author. I’m a person who needs closure and now that I’ve reached the mediocre end, I as a reader have done my due diligence.
Author: Hannah Gray Book Title: Hate You, Henley: Brooks University #3 Genre: Romance Tropes: Football, secrets, enemies to lovers, second chances (kind of)
Hate Me, Henley is the third and final book of The Brooks University Series.
Plot: Weston goes to Brook University to follow his football dreams and babysits Henley as her parents request. It's not an easy task. She's rebellious, mouthy, and nuts. Watching over her is no easy task, especially when he has feelings for her, and she hates him. He's adamant about breaking her down, but she's keeping him at arm's length.
Thoughts: Wes was it for me, such a protector, and boy, some of the things he said had me so emotional. Poor Henley; her story is heartbreaking. It keeps her locked in her past. Wes and Henley's story was full of tension, emotion, and entertainment. The banter between the two was funny. I loved reading about the other couples in the series too.
Conclusion: If you love sports romance, take a chance on Hannah Gray and her boys. This series was so good
I genuinely love this trope so it's no surprise that I ended up liking it overall. Whilst I didn't LOVE it, I really wasn't expecting myself to. There were many things that bothered me throughout the book which included: And yet, I still gave this four stars because I fell victim to the second-chance (arguably), we grew up together, enemies to lovers trope. like shit. I actually eat this shit up like I cant even find a good analogy but im just obsessed. because when they went back to the memories when they were little of Weston taking care of her and shit like BRO... SO CUTE!!!! and genuinely imo (this may seem obvious) if they didn't have this history there is no way Weston would have forgave her, because by growing up together and growing this tension between them made themselves into who they are for each other > day ones > soulmates. I genuinely hate it here. 🤣
I was so excited for Weston’s story and it couldn’t have been any better!! These Brooks University boys will always hold a special place in my heart. I felt like this story line was more gut wrenching of the three and had me feeling so many emotions throughout the whole book! From the start, I needed Wes to have his happy ending and he fought tooth and nail to get there. But what a beautiful story he was given. I crushed this read in one sitting because I just couldn’t put this book down from the start.
Wes. The alpha football player. The one who really wears his heart on his sleeve. The protector. I loved this man so much. Where Storm was serious and stoic, where Knox was the carefree jokester, Wes wore his heart on his sleeve and never left his emotions unsaid. Everytime this man spoke or I read from his POV, he ripped my heart out and made me love him more each time.
Henley. Oh sis, did you have a gut wrenching time. This girl went through so many tragic things and coped the way that is fairly common. I felt for her in so many ways. Thankfully, she became the girl we all knew that Wes deserved.
This series was full of sweet sports romances with gut wrenching story lines and characters you couldn’t help but fall in love with. I can’t wait to see where Hannah goes from here. Maybe we will even get lucky enough for a quick novella of these three couples and their “grown up” shenanigans one day because we’re not ready to let them go just yet.
Second Chance | Friends to Lovers | First Love/Soulmates | Sports Romance
I've been in love with the Brooks University boys from the very beginning. Throughout this entire series, I laughed, I cried, I swooned.
I was definitely intrigued by Weston after reading the first two books because he was so mysterious. His love for Henley was so obvious and I was truly heartbroken for him over their misunderstanding.
Henley definitely made some mistakes that frustrated me throughout her story, but by the end of the book I was so proud of her growth as a character. She went through so much to finally have Weston.
I am glad they both grew together and proved themselves worthy of one another. This was a wonderful second chance romance by Hannah Gray. I am convinced she is the queen of happily ever afters and epilogues. I was so pleased with the end of this series - it brought back all of my feels from reading The Off-Campus series.
I look forward to reading more of Hannah Gray's work and I am hoping for more from Brooks University in the future. Thank you to Hannah Gray and Wordsmith Publishing for the opportunity to read Hate You, Henley as an ARC. 💜
Having read the two previous installments in this series i couldn't wait for more! The second i found out about this third installment i instantly started looking forward to it! I picked it up and got right back into the Brooks University world. I enjoyed it!
Weston and Henley's journey pulled me in quickly! I was so glad to finally get into both of their minds and dig deeper with them. I wasn't sure what all to expect and i really liked how that got me into their story even more. I loved how both characters brought out my emotions.
I was so glad that i got to dive back into this world!
With Hate You, Henley, Ms.Gray has created a good read that'll make you feel so much! I am so looking forward to reading what she comes up with next!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from WordSmith Publicity / the author*
I loved Wes and Henley's friends to lovers, enemies to lovers story! It had truly heartbreaking moments, but a whole lotta swoon too! Weston is the perfect book boyfriend. Pre-Order here: https://amzn.to/3sYvdZL Review sign ups: https://forms.gle/2xUVZhWcPqVsYt4YA
I HATE ABHOR DETEST stories where the MC sleeps with the sibling of the other MC when is also known and understood that the other two like each other. To me there’s no coming back from that. How do you ever forgive such a betrayal from either side?
In this story FMC loves and wants Weston but deliberately chooses to sleep with his TWIN as an act of revenge because she was stupid enough to believe some petty, jealous girls. And the twin brother, Dane, knows that his brother and FMC both really love each other, yet he does it! Honestly, I would never be able to forgive either one of them if I was MC.
FMC didn’t deserve to be forgiven for how horrible she behaved towards MC through out. And twin really didn’t deserve forgiveness either for such a betrayal. And if I was the twins’ parents, obviously I’d be upset with the son who betrayed his brother like that but I would have been even more pissed with FMC—and that this stupid, selfish girl destroyed my sons’ relationship with each other. I’d never want to see her again and I’d hate for her to be with either of my sons.
I couldn’t get past that—and it didn’t even happen to me! Thus, I hated FMC and the story. MC deserved better. The more I think of this story, the more it angers me.

*ARC Review*. Hate You, Henley is the 3rd book in the Brooks U series by Hannah Gray. It’s a standalone book with interconnected characters from the other two books. Y’all..I loved this book! I love Hannah’s other books and I have been super excited about this one coming out. I am super thankful I got a chance to read an ARC.
This story follows Weston, star football player, and Henley, his childhood bff turned enemy. Weston and Henley were inseparable from birth until he went away for football camp before his senior year of high school. That Summer things changed drastically and Henley and Weston’s relationship turned and they spend the next year hating each other. Weston, in love with Henley, follows her to Brooks University to babysit her and keep her from making too many bad choices.
We follow their story as they both learn how actions have consequences, forgiveness is for both parties and that true love is enough. The character development in this book is fantastic and we see Weston and Henley grow so much. I also loved the witty banter between them. This book has some really emotional moments and really brings out the feels. Also some pretty intense spice. Outstanding book! Can’t wait to see what’s next from Hannah Gray…maybe a Brooks U hockey series? Or will we get Dane and Laylas story?? Whatever it is I'm sure it will great!
Hate you, Henley By Hannah Gray I was immediately captivated by the story. A deep friendship from birth that could have become more, and as so often happens, turns to hate through misunderstanding and concealment. I loved how persistent Weston is in his efforts to protect Henley, and I loved what Henley actually does to protect Weston. After a mistake is made and even more horrible experience afterwards, Henley's world is nothing but painful. She doesn't want to let anyone get close to her and least of all Weston. Weston has no idea what happened to Henley, he only knows that the girl he loves is no longer herself. Suspicions and silence have also ruined his relationship with his twin, as he suspects that Dane has something to do with Henley's behavior. Nevertheless, it comes as it must, Weston and Henley come closer and confess their feelings, then it comes to the bang. The truth comes out and has to come out. Weston pulls away hurt and Henley takes that as an opportunity to change and fight. I love the happy ending and the epilogue. Of course, all is well after a long and painful road. Also the two families, their cohesion and understanding was impressive and heartwarming to read. Also for the side characters. A beautiful story that shows you should never give up, no matter what side you are on. Written fluidly and encouraging to read on. Highly recommended.

I can’t get enough of these stories where the main characters are soulmates. Henley and Weston loved each other since the minute they were born…literally. Although they made mistakes that tore them apart along the way, fate always has a way of bringing people back together when it’s meant to be. This story was raw and not always pretty, but it was beautiful. I really loved every book in this series.
‘It’s a curse to love someone this much. To love someone so deeply that you can’t pull yourself away from them.’
I don’t even know where to start with reviewing this book and how to summarise how I feel. This book literally broke me. The emotions it bought out in me were horrific and I never want to experience that again!
Weston, I am so in love with him and his character. He honestly deserved so much better than everything that happened and I wish he wouldn’t have forgiven Dane. Saying to your own blood brother “That girl will be my wife one day. Mark my words on that, bro.”, and then Dane going ahead knowing this and still doing what he does, nope no thanks. I could never forgive him, or Henley for that matter. In regards to the forgiveness, he forgave them both way too quickly in my opinion. Henley needed to grovel so much more than she did.
(Before I start with my opinion of Henley, I would just like to say this is in no way a criticism towards Hannah’s writing or this book, I just felt strongly about her character & actions). I have some very strong mixed feelings about Henley’s character and her actions. As soon as I found out what happened with Dane, I automatically couldn’t bring myself to like her for the rest of the book. I think it’s probably a ‘it’s me, not the book’ type of thing but I just can’t get behind her reasons for doing it. Yes she was single and could do what she wanted, but doing that just because you’ve heard a rumour is not it for me. And then the way she treated West after she messed up, yeah unforgivable. Even after we found out the whole story, I still couldn’t get over what she did. And the biggest thing that pissed me off more than anything was the fact that she slept with West, without protection, and she still hadn’t told him what had happened. Like I’m sorry?! West deserved so much more…
Despite all of what I said above about Henley, I loved this book so much and any book that can make me cry the way this did deserves a top tier rating.
I know Dane has a book but I just don’t know if I can bring myself to read it because of how much I dislike him already!
This book includes: -Football Romance -College Setting -Childhood friends to enemies to lovers -Second Chance-ish
I thought I had a good idea of where this story was going to go but boy was I wrong in the best way .
Weston + Henley are destined to be together . After being born on the same day, growing up as next door neighbors + best friends, they just knew that one day they would be together forever as more than friends .
The summer before their senior year of high school, Weston leaves for football camp like always . Meanwhile, Henley finds out some information about Weston that hurts her to her core + she wants to hurt him back . Henley’s revenge turns out to be one of the worst and most traumatic events of her life that she will carry with her forever . She then starts to act out with excessive drinking, smoking, partying + of course hating Weston Wade . This makes for an interesting first year of school at Brook’s University where the two of them keep constantly running into each other .
Weston + Henley have so much chemistry but their fake hatred for each other + Henley’s grief get in the way of what they both want for a long time . They never give up on each other though because they know that some day everything will be aligned and they can finally be happy together . This was not just a friends to enemies to lovers .. this was a book about finding yourself . Finding yourself again after suppressing tremendous grief + trauma for a long time . Grief + trauma that no one can help you through besides yourself . This book hits you right in the feels in all the best ways possible and I can’t recommend it enough .
This is the third book in the Brooks University Series but can be read as a standalone . Please check the TW’s before reading this book as they are the overall theme for this book .
This book was sent to me for honest review by Wordsmith Publicity .
Well, that was a messy one! What a way to end the series. I read the Florida series before this one so I was already aware of the messy Dane/Weston/Henley triangle before going in to this book, so I was expecting the complicated feelings to come out to play… yep, queue confusion!
I kinda started this one hating Henley before I ever read a page. Only because I knew what happened and instantly judged her for it! So it’s fair to say I was team Weston all the way through. However, I really felt for Hen. What she went through was horrific, even if it was at the cause of her own stupid, immature reaction to hearsay.
Having been through that myself it was difficult to read and brought up so many emotions, which Hannah handled so well. It was thoughtfully written, sensitive, and dealt with the complex emotions that comes from heartache like that. Thank you Hannah 🩵
I absolutely loved Weston right from the first word. He never wavered from Henley, even when he hated her. He loved her despite her mistakes, would walk through hell to make sure she was safe, and loved her even when she felt unlovable. He’s that kind of man who is a solid rock of support, no matter what, and I loved him for that. And his determination to have her as his own? He never quit.
This series felt special to me. I own all the ebooks but had to get started on my Hannah paperback collection after this series too! I first discovered Hannah when she released Puck Boy and have been hooked since. I’m forever grateful to be part of her ARC team and making my way through her backlist has just solidified my love for her storytelling skills. Every book has been 5 starts for me and I’ll always shout her out!
This is certainly a unique story. I wouldn’t classify it as a true enemies to lovers. Henley and Weston (and his identical twin Dane) were born on the same day and they were enamored with each other from the start. Always having each other’s back, they loved each other throughout this story, even when Henley pushed Weston away.
Obviously, there’s an event that makes them “hate” each other and it’s rough! When she finally fills him it, it takes some time for them to be their best selves.
I really loved this story and these characters. It’s told in dual POV, there’s strong character development and growth, lots of steam, overcoming demons and finding your best self for you and the people you love the most. There’s laughter, tears and just all around greatness.
A few of my favorite quotes: “Play Inspector fucking Gadget, following around a girl who isn’t just riding the crazy bus—she’s fucking conducting that son of a bitch.” “It turns out, I don’t need booze to numb me from the past. I just need Weston. He’s novocaine to my brain and paradise to my soul.” “You deserve someone who will fight for you, the same way you have been fighting for me my whole life.”
A couple little errors/typos…instead of flip him/her off the book used flick him/her off, took me a while to figure out what the author was trying to say there. And sometimes a side character is Storm and sometimes it’s Storms. These didn’t take away from the story though.
This can definitely be read as a stand-alone but I look forward to reading the other characters stories. Pick this book up today, you won’t regret it.
Okay, I'm not usually a lucky person but I actually received this ebook through a giveaway on Facebook! How awesome and fortuitous was that??
This is my first book from Hannah Gray and it looks like this is a 3rd book in her Brooks University Series. You can bet I'll be reading the former two and they're already on my "want to read" list.
"Hate you, Henley" is about a set of twin brothers and a girl, Weston, Dane and Henley, all born on the same day by two best friends. All three growing up together as close as anyone can get. Between the three, Henley and Weston become best friends. They spend their days together goofing around and swimming in the lake by their houses.
A love triangle develops between the three which is a recipe for disaster. Weston and Henley have an unspoken understanding that they are each other's soulmates. The two, too afraid to tell each other how they really feel, they end up having a misunderstanding that pushes Henley to turn to Dane.
One mistake turns their whole dynamic into chaos. One mistake turns into a horrific tragedy that alters the lives of all three. Dane and Henley turning to one another for solace with a secret they know will tear Weston apart. Henley turns to alcohol and drugs to ease the pain.
The three goes off to college. Dane to a university in Florida. Henley goes off to Brooks University. West's undying love and need to take care of Henley motivates him to follow her. To make sure she is safe, even though she never asked for it.
Through a series of events, fate... or rather West, find each other in circumstances that bring them together. The undeniable attraction is there but the need to keep her secret is preventing her from following her heart.
Will the two ever find their way back to each other? What will it take for Henley to tell the truth? Will Weston love her enough to forgive her? Will Dane finally take her from West for good? Will the three get back what they had together? Brother against brother, can they reclaim what they once had?
The anticipation and torture of what's to come had me anxious. I was so invested in their story that I'm still feeling the effects and the emotions the day after. It's a great read that builds up slowly but packs a punch.
I have been wanting to read Hate You, Henley since accidentally reading Playing Dane first. I didn't realize these were interconnected standalones so I patiently read the first two books in the Brooks University series before finally being ready for this one.
This is my favorite Hannah Gray book so far. There was less of that early 2000's dialect, which I considered the main distraction from emotional aspect of the stories I read previously (looking at Ally, Knox, and Layla in particular). There was something about Weston's and Henley's story that made me want to know it in detail after getting glimpses of it in other books. It is not often that I enjoy a "sequel" or a book further along in the series more than the first book.
Childhood friends to lovers just hits differently. There is so much history and yearning. The moment when the two characters realize that the other has grown up and sees them in a different light is just unmatched. I liked seeing the emotional growth of both Henley and Weston.
I was wondering how well the timeline in this book would match up to Playing Dane but it seemed pretty seamless. I noted in that review that the book was so messy I almost DNF'ed it. Since I already knew the conflict going into this book, I was already prepared. If I didn't know, my rating may have been different. I really don't love when there are siblings involved especially ones that are close.
Overall, this book is a really emotional read, not unlike others by this author.
Henley Hayes and Weston Wade have a love / hate relationship. It used to be all (platonic-ish) love and friendship. When things change, Henley goes so far down the rabbit hole that it's scary. I really like that Weston calls her on it and doesn't hold back when he reminds her of some of the worst-case scenario things that are real possibilities.
While she shows her maturity, or lack thereof, with why she does what she does, I must admit that what she goes through is heartbreaking. She doesn't handle it well, but once she gets a grip on it, I do like how she moves forward.
As for Weston, he is sometimes a jerk, but he is also one helluva stand-up guy. He occasionally needs some prodding to pull his head out of his behind, but on the whole, I admire how he looks out for Henley.
I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators Tim Paige and Desiree Ketchum and I like them both.
Some parting comments: I love the setups for other series with some of the side characters, as well as the check-ins with the couples in prior books in the series. The timeline overlaps with those books some, but you don't need to read them to enjoy this.
Hensley took a little to warm up too because how she was treating West but when you learn why and it all makes sense..
Weston has a twin brother Dane and things got super messy…
West has been in love with Hensley since they were little but never said anything because he was afraid to mess up their friendship…
Well he left for football camp and was told that he was messing around with girls… She wanted to get revenge on him and this is where his brother comes into play👀
It’s more complicated than them just sleeping together also…
Henley is going down a very dark path and her parents are worried so Weston follows her to Brooks for college so he can keep an eye on her..
She treats him like crap but he still continues to save her..
He loves her more than anything and just wants to know what happened but she knows when she tells him he will walk away…
Things are good for awhile until they aren’t… She doesn’t even tell him the whole truth…. He learns more from his brother…💔
Weston is completely heartbroken….. And he’s done…. He can’t do it anymore…
He walks away…….
Some time goes by… She gets help from his mom to surprise him and spills all of her feelings…
Does Hannah Gray know how to finish out a series or what? Weston and Henley, two friends turned enemies turned lovers. It was an emotional roller coaster. The lengths these two went not only to love each other but also to hate each other... You may not feel inclined to root for Henley and Weston as a couple at first but once the reason for all the hatred and avoidance comes to light, you’ll be singing a different tune. After reading about the events surrounding Henley’s torment, you just can’t help but hope the two end up together. Hannah Gray also turned up the heat on this one, her smuttiest book yet and I already know no one’s going to be mad about that. 🥵
Lastly, can we just talk about the epilogue? It’s one of those pieces in this book and really, if you’ve kept up with the author’s other 5 books, you should not miss out on! It was like the cherry on top of all of the author’s work so far. The most heartwarming epilogue that I’ve read, probably ever. A whole mic drop, Hannah Gray. 👏🏻
Now that I’ve read a few of Hannah’s books, I really am loving the interconnected universe of all her books. This one runs parallel time with Playing Dane, so we get to see Henley and Weston’s relationship in flux as was mentioned throughout that book. We also get to see Cam Hardy and his hockey boys. I’m all in on these characters at this point, and very much want to now continue with the other Brooks U books as well as the Florida East ones. There were parts of this one that were wordy - sometimes a little repetitive in terms of Henley and Weston’s feelings/thoughts - but I was rooting for them through it all. Despite their enemy status, they are clearly so in love with each other and always doing what they think is best for the other one. Also, there is a miscarriage trigger warning here, but it was written with care, and I loved how the characters got their HEA at the end.
I hadn’t read the other books in the series, but these characters are extremely easy to fall in love with. The other 2 books have officially been put on my TBR list!
Weston and Henley were inseparable best friends ever since they were babies. Weston leave one summer only to come back with Henley pushing him away. After that point, they became enemies. Henley has been keeping secret, and hopes to get away from her past when she leaves for college. What she doesn’t expect though, is Weston following her and becoming her babysitter.
I adored Weston. There is something special when alpha males are extremely caring. He unconditionally loved Henley. He knew something happened, and he tried so hard to find out her secret. So, I expected more out of him when he finds everything out.
I still have mixed feelings about Henley. She made many mistakes throughout the story that was frustrating. When she was trying her best though, I was definitely rooting for her. Her character development was one of the best I’ve read in a while.
As much as I enjoyed the book, the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because it was predictable. The story line was easy to follow, and I enjoyed the back and forth between Henley and West. All that tension really made for some intense spicy scenes.
This was a great read - the characters were well-written, the plot made sense in general, the writing was really good! The only thing I didn't quite like was how late in the book the main drama was revealed. There were clues all the time and you pretty much could guess what it was. I just wish it came out sooner.
I was on the fence about Henley and her actions but she became easier to relate to later in the book.
The best part was Weston! 😛 He was so dedicated to Henley and went to great lengths for her. And that boy certainly had a dirty mouth on him. I don't think he ever addressed Henley without making his 'feelings' for her blatantly known. At some point you have to start feeling sorry for him and his ... uncomfortable situation 😉.
This book was a little better than the previous two, but I still couldn't connect with the story or the characters.
In this book, their back stories were a little more solid, and more grounded, but the whole keeping everything a secret seems immature compared to everything else that's going on in their lives.
The formula for the 3 books is too similar, and so is the development of the stories. Again there's a lot of sex and not enough emotion to balance it out. The end of the book is a series of time jumps, ending basically the same way as the other books.
There were some new characters introduced at the very end that I've found out each have their own books. Not sure if I want to go there just yet, but maybe one day I will.
I don't know how Hannah does it, but she gets me every time I read her books... I feel every emotion the characters do! I get so sucked into the story, I swear I am there with them!
I listened to the audio of this and the narrators did an awesome job bringing this one to life!!
Weston and Henley have such a great but heartbreaking story. You get so much angst in this one, you may even want to drink a glass of wine after. Weston and Henley have that soulmate connection that you know they belong together, but some things are not always easy...
I can't recommend Hannah's books enough, her books make you feel so many emotions and the characters are so dang lovable!
This book was way to erotic to be 18/19 year olds The author should have placed them in their 20's. It would be more believable. And the redundancies regarding the situation and the need to repeat it over and over again for chapters and chapters was absolutely nerve wracking!!! I literally had to skip forward so I could move on with the storyline. This book was drawn out with self-loathing holding on to guilt regarding the situation until it will almost make you give up! This was just an ok story that was inappropriate for the characters ages and it made it kinda suck. 2 stars for me sorry...
This was such a good way to end this series! If there's one thing I love, it's a good second chance romance, and this book was just that. I loved how Henley and Weston were tied to each other from the very minute they were born. You could just feel that the two of them were meant to be with each other. The way he always was looking out for her, even when he "hated" her! Gahh it was so good.
I honestly had no clue how Hannah was going to bring these two back together. It seemed at times we weren't going to get a HEA....but we did, and it was the perfect way to wrap the book up.
Thank you to Wordsmith Publicity for the audio copy!!
