Catrina Maddox has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Ava and Liam. Oliver has gone to tell Liam that his sister, Catlyn wants him to come to see her. When he gets to Catlyn, he finds out that her boyfriend Kullen has been murdered. Ava is the detective that is investing the murder. Somehow Liam is allowed to help her with the case. The more they find out, the more questions they have. Liam knows that Ava is the one for him but he has to take it slow since she doesn't believe that she can have a relationship and be a cop at the same time. Liam keeps telling her it doesn't bother him that she is a cop and works a lot of hours, He does the same thing with his work. He finally gets her to go on a date with him but she cuts it short when she has to go see Claire Artur about Kullen's murder at a hotel spa. After her meeting, she sees Liam as she is walking out. She wants to know if he is following her. He tells her no. He moves out of the doorway so she can get out. She all of a sudden feels a shape pain in her shoulder and looks down and sees a small hole there. She tells Liam that she had been shot. She wakes up in the hospital and is told by the doctor that she is going to need someone to stay with her for a few days. Liam said that she would be staying with him. Her family is not happy with her being a cop and when they all come to the hospital, her mom is upset that she had to hear about her being shot from the news. Liam does everything he can to slowly bring her around to having a relationship with him. He is there for her when needed and lets her do what she needs to do for her job. The more time she spends with Liam, the more she falls for him but she tries to lock her feelings down so he doesn't find out.

'Hungry for Bear' by Catrina Maddox is the second book in her Shifters of Bearclaw Team series and tells the story of Ava George, a police detective, and Liam Seal, a polar shifter and alpha elite. Ava and Laim were best friends in high school but before it could develop into first love they were sent to different schools. Fifteen years later they run into each other at Laim's sister, Catlyn's, house. Ava is there conducting an investigation as a police detective. Liam is there because Catlyn demanded it and since she was clan alpha he had to show.
Laim was thrilled to see Ava at his sister's house. He had been planning on finding her because he knew she was his mate regardless that she was human. Now he had just to convince her to go out with him. Since she was investigating his sister for murder that might be a problem.
Ava couldn't believe when Liam walked into his sister's house. He had grown into a gorgeous man and finally filled out his lanky teenage body. She wondered if his looks had changed him. After 30 seconds she realized he was the same Liam that she was in love with at 15 years of age. Too bad she was investigating his sister for murder.
Ms. Maddox has written an engaging and dynamic addition to her series. The connection between Ava and Liam is apparent from the first page. This story has everything! There are twists and turns, deceit, mystery, suspense, action, passion, and steamy encounters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to everyone.

Can he help Ava find the killer and stand by her side when she is in danger? Will he trust her with his secret?
Being new to shifter romances, there are some terms and/or ideas that I'm not familiar with. Didn't make it so I couldn't follow the story but I think I would've enjoyed it more had I known a few things first. I read this book because I have read and really enjoyed other works by Maddox. I thought I would try something new. Maddox doesn't disappoint. She weaves a great story, creating wonderful characters with depth. This book was filled with non-stop action and plenty of suspense. It has a couple of unexpected twist and kept me engaged now wanting to put it down. I will definitely be reading more of this series.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! Liam is a sexy as all get out polar bear shifter, a part of an elite security team, and returning home with his team in hopes of finding his mate. Ava sweet, intelligent, a detective, and she is human. Upon arriving Ava is investing his sister for murder, he knows his sister didn’t murder anyone but when the killer or killers come after her will he sit around or will he help her find them because he sure isn’t going to stand by and watch his human (yep his human) get kill even if that mean revealing who he or what he is the chemistry is still there from when they are together but will they catch the murder, will she accepts him for what he is, has he found his mate and can they find happiness?

A fast paced and action packed story with humor, drama, murder, danger, suspense and passion. Well developed characters that are believable and heartwarming. Liam is back home and the first item on his to do list is to find his fated mate, Ava, and convince he they are destined to be together. It’s been a few years since they have seen one another. He’s a member of the Shifters of Bearclaw Team and his childhood friend, Ava, is now a cop and detective investigating the murder of his sister’s boyfriend. She knows nothing of shifters or fated mates. How will Liam convince her that she’s his mate and help her find the murderer, plus keep her safe. Entertaining and heartwarming read.

I loved this story even though I hadn’t read book 1 in this series but that’s fine because this book can be read as a standalone and this is Liam’s and Ava’s story. Liam is a polar bear shifter he’s home after being in the alpha elite which his family wasn’t happy about but all Liam cares about is coming home to find his fated mate in Ava, she was no little girl anymore now she is a gorgeous woman who is a police detective she’s at Liam’s sisters house investigating the death of Liam’s sisters boyfriend. Fantastic story I enjoyed this story and the characters immensely and I recommend this book.

It’s a rare occasion when I get to read a book that is set in my country. Even rarer when in the city I used to live in: Auckland, New Zealand. The fact that it is a shifter book makes it even better as you’d never see these animals outside of a zoo here.
Liam and Ava were the sweetest couple. He knew they were fated mates. Ava took a little longer to reconcile with that. Liam is a polar bear shifter. He was more the sunshine character here. Able to work with Ava, a police detective, due to him belonging to a shifter secret military group. He takes full advantage of the forced proximity between the two of them. Add in a murder mystery and you’ve got all the ingredients for a great read.

This is the second story in the "Bearclaw Team" series. it is a stand alone read about second chances and fated mates with a little suspense and murder thrown in the mix. This story is about Ava and Liam. He is polar bear shifter who is also part of an elite security team. he has returned home to find his old friend and possible mate. He is shocked when he finds out she is investigating his sister for murder. This is such an addicting read! Love the characters and love the plot!

This is a Shifters Of BearClaw Team love story for Liam and Ava. LOL This one has one sassy independent Woman human cop and a Poplar Bear Hard headed man. The danger and mystery is great. I loved this sweet love story. I can not wait for the next book.

This is a well written shifter romance with Polar Bear shifter Liam and Ava who is human. The author brings intrigue and danger ,action and suspense along with their past history and romance. The story moves fluidly and I enjoyed reading.

The second book in the Shifters of Bearclaw Team series a story that kept me turning pages. Liam Seal and cop Ava George search for answers to the death of his sister's boyfriend and get a second chance, as they are doing so. There is suspense, drama, danger, murder, a villain, and romance.
